  • Agreed, it’s a safe buy. I tried it and it’s a scent you can’t go wrong with; it doesn’t stand out, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad—in fact, it smells very good. However, personally, I prefer to take more risks.

  • Nice scent. When they let me try it, I fell in love and bought it. It’s rich but gets a bit cloying after some time of wearing it.

  • Diego Fernandez

One of the best and my favorites; it beats Armani Code. Very clean and delicious lotion, from the same family as Hugo Boss Bottle Night, making it similar but with different charms. My recommendation: wear it to a summer night party.

  • Warm, nocturnal, and elegant aroma, perfect to wear with a suit. It’s the one my wife likes the most out of all of them. The only downside is its poor longevity.

  • A good perfume, quite fresh at first thanks to the clearly distinguishable bergamot, then moves to sweeter notes of cocoa and amber, very subtle. On my skin, I have to overapply it to make it last; projection is scarce. I like it, but it has its downsides compared to other Armani fragrances.

  • At first, there’s a fleeting citrus touch of bergamot, followed by a warm mix of cocoa and woods, quite sweet and pleasant to my nose. I’m not an expert on notes, so this is just what I could perceive. A nice perfume with moderate longevity and projection.

  • Starts a bit citrusy, then turns woody and sweet after a few minutes, with a strange smell. I imagine it’s the cocoa; that strange scent is very strong, annoying, and heavy. I had to wash up to stop smelling that intense odor; it’s overwhelming and I don’t like it. My rating: 3/10.

  • Just bought it, smells great. Reminds me a bit of Guerlain Home but less fresh, obviously. Shares notes like bergamot, cedar, and vetiver. The scent is rich, starting semi-fresh and sweet with a cocoa base. The notes aren’t complex and it can seem a bit generic. The downside is the projection: moderate at first but fades quickly. It lasts a little longer on skin, which is a pity. Same as L’Homme by YSL: no good trail or longevity, but it’s fun to wear.

Not much for the price. Blue Jeans by Versace, U Blue by Adolfo Domínguez, or Rochas Man give it a run for its money.

  • In my opinion, it’s a youthful, sweet, and nocturnal perfume. Ideal for going out for a party due to its scent, not its longevity. It smells like chocolate, citrus, woods, and amber. The bergamot helps neutralize the sweetness of the cocoa, which here tastes like white chocolate. Its longevity and projection are average. Maybe it’s nothing extraordinary, but it’s cheerful and sparkling. It has a certain note that can be polarizing, a penetrating point that throws off the fragrance. In conclusion, it’s a white, luminous, and fun aroma that generates good compliments, and its bottle lives up to its name.

I had two experiences with this fragrance that were the opposite of what many say: I wore it at 22 and didn’t quite like it, but at 29 it was fabulous. I love it. Sure, it’s synthetic, but delicious, with great sillage and longevity. It’s exclusive to cold climates—the colder, the better. If you pair it with good clothes, you’ll get tons of compliments.

  • Nice perfume, smells like sweet cream without being cloying. It’s a bit linear, but it always gets compliments. Fragrance: 8, longevity: 8, sillage: 8.

I happened to try it again in-store today and still like it. It’s not the best from the house; it can even seem ‘common’, but… the dry-down is really interesting, as well-executed as any Chanel scent.

  • Emporio Armani Diamonds swings between sweet and fresh and back again, with a slightly creamy base. The opening is fresh and woody; sometimes it feels feminine, other times I detect an unlisted herbal note. The cocoa is noticeable, similar to Dior Homme, giving it that creamy texture, while the amber adds warmth. It lasted 6 hours, then faded to skin scent, almost imperceptible. Overall, it’s for fall and winter due to the warmth, even with a touch of sensuality. Still, it’s not for me—it’s a bit cloying.

Soft as cotton candy with lots of cocoa; I find it unisex but leaning feminine.

  • I bought this years ago and honestly, it smells great—works for day or night. I’m giving it 7 points not because it’s bad or I didn’t like it, but because it’s a good perfume, just not one that drives me wild. Still, I’d recommend it.

  • It smells rich, soft, sweet, and elegant, with a citrusy touch. In my opinion, it’s unisex; a woman could wear it without any issues. The longevity is very good, and the trail is moderate.

  • It’s hard to find in my local perfumeries, but it’s still being made and remains one of Armani’s last gems that I absolutely love. It doesn’t drive me crazy, but I really like it. I’d call it a ‘light oriental,’ even though the store markets it as ‘fresh woody.’ I’m a fan of that dense cocoa note (not chocolate). It starts fresh, then in minutes transforms into a warm, woody scent that’s very original. On my skin, the cocoa with cedar really stands out—pleasant and warm. Despite having common notes, it doesn’t smell like anything I already know. It’s youthful, sexy, and wearable day and night, even in summer. The woody cocoa with a spicy touch makes it unique. It’s sweet but soft, nothing cloying. The longevity is top-notch: a heavy trail for the first three hours, then moderate. Perfect for bars and a great escape from the current fruity sweetness trend.

  • Diamonds never really made the list of perfumes to collect; I tried it a year ago and found it very weak, even though the aroma wasn’t bad, so it left my ‘must-have’ list. Four days ago I found it at a small boutique at a clearance price, closed but with a box lacking ‘glamour’. I paid about $28. Later I opened the box and was surprised: according to Check Fresh, it’s from 2008, right when it launched. Yesterday I compared it with the current one in a department store. I won’t go on, but the current one is at least 3 times less intense than the 2008 version. Armani Diamonds presents an aroma with a heart and top built on deodorized cocoa that gives a creamy effect over the freshness of slightly dirty vetiver touched by pepper, woods, and amber, which harmoniously encrypt an essence with a back-and-forth of warm freshness, as Beto Ruiz says. It reminded me of, but wasn’t exactly, Miracle by Lancome and Amor Amor by Cacharel. The assembled fragrance is long-lasting, creamy, projects a discrete and warm sweetness very kindly, bordering on unisex with excellent projection and longevity. In short, I liked it; even at 24 hours I still feel its closeness. It’s perfect for all 4 seasons and works well at night, unlike the current formula which lacks previous virtues. Recommended as long as you’re sure you want the first formula. Note: a friend with a 2010 bottle says it has the same performance.

  • It’s a woody fragrance but doesn’t smell like wood, maybe soft vetiver or cedar in the middle. The notable note is powdery, warm, and enveloping cocoa. Sweet, talcum-like with amber, pepper, and touches of cedar. Youthful, versatile, ideal for autumn/winter and day or night, especially if you overapply.

  • Emporio Armani Diamonds by Giorgio Armani, EDT (Cavallier 2008). A simple and effective fragrance, revitalizing and cheerful without fuss. Leaves a sensation of a known aroma without falling into the generic. It boils down to cocoa, lemon, and musk. It sits on the border between sweet musk and gourmand. Opens citrusy and sweet with bergamot and cocoa, moves to a sweet and musky heart with a soft touch of cocoa and amber, and a lemony note of Sichuan pepper. Although not declared, I perceive a musk that cleans and polishes the fragrance, giving it versatility despite the sweetness. In the dry down, some vetiver and woods. For me, the soul is the musk. Fixation and longevity are very good, average projection. A very good option for cold or temperate climates, youthful and cheerful cut, day or night, versatile. Greetings to the community.

I’ll talk about this delight because nowadays it’s misunderstood. Having a low profile doesn’t mean it’s a common smell. I’ve had it for 7 years, about to finish, sprayed it over 1000 times, and with 80 fragrances in my collection, after 3 years without using it, I sprayed it on my wrist and what a mistake! I had pushed it to the back with almost 10 ml. Today, smelling it again, it’s the best I’ve ever had and definitely exists in the market. Yes! It’s youthful, a bouquet of compliments, warm, slightly sweet, barely citrusy, with a light halo of cinnamon (perhaps from the cocoa I don’t perceive as such), very woody with cedar as a concertino, and a subtle vetiver present to balance this masterpiece. It has a similar DNA to traditional Armani Code; it’s elegant, with its own style, very masculine and discreet, but special and characteristic. Easily adaptable as a signature, versatile, better for night and cool climates, but if you know how to use it, it’s complimentary in spring and summer, day or night. At 42, with clarity in my classic fougère trends and vintage tastes, without diminishing the current, I know this masterpiece will never be missing from my collection.

  • Cloying chocolate. Very sweet; they say it’s for daytime, which is madness—it’s like wearing a coat in the heat, you’ll roast. Same here: during the day, the sweetness is overwhelming, and in enclosed spaces, people want to run away. But for cold weather or parties, that’s its purpose: you’ll look great and receive compliments for being heavy, sweet, and charming. Be careful with spraying because it has a great trail. I remembered it with nostalgia from high school, but when I brought it back to my collection, I was a bit disappointed. I see it’s only for the intended use. It’s a clear example that tastes change; good luck and enjoy it.

  • A soft yet seductive, elegant, killer, and rich fragrance. Fresh, creamy, woody, and mind-blowing. Ideal for a romantic night or event; it never fails. Not a bomb in projection, but noticeable within 30 cm to 1 meter. Lasts 6-8 hours depending on skin. The cocoa base doesn’t smell like direct chocolate, but raw cocoa mixed with woods that give it something special. It’s not super sweet, so if you’re looking for that, this isn’t it. But if you want a seductive scent that brings compliments and feels different, it’s excellent. Smells formal/semi-formal, and since it’s soft, it’s super versatile for day or night.

2008 Review: the star is the cocoa bean. Very tasty and seductive with citrus and woods. Cocoa can usually be strong, but here it’s fresh, raw, and not cloying, as @Fedehart said. The woods are noble, with cedar captured by an addictive and unexpected cocoa, creating something intimate and attractive. I love the guaiac; it adds body and density. Performance is acceptable (though I don’t know about current batches), but I expected more punch. Far from today’s powerhouses, the trail is pleasant, short for clubs but perfect for a hug or date. Lasts 4-5 hours, decent overall. It’s not piercing, harsh, or overwhelming, nor excessively sweet, but aromatic, fresh, woody, and delicious. Very masculine, noble, attractive, and sensual.

  • Emporio Armani Diamonds (2008): incredible freshness, versatile, and almost unisex. Perfect for those who love woody scents. I’m hooked on that fresh-spicy phenolic nuance from the guaiac wood paired with pepper.

Giorgio Armani Diamonds for Men, batch 2015 EDT. Great aroma, a classic from Armani made to please everyone; maybe it was a turning point because many houses now chase fresh, blue scents, leaving behind creative masterpieces like this. Diamonds is unique and extraordinary. It opens citrusy and creamy with a cocoa vibe that adds sensual warmth, while the woods make it clean, formal, luminous, and flirtatious. I don’t recall Estée Lauder Pleasures, but it reminds me of it for something. It’s not weak or thin, but subtle; it has a beautiful formula that doesn’t need to be loud to make an impression. It gradually fades over time, but it remains relevant and leaves people sighing. It’s the best of Armani. If you find it, grab it, as it’s hard to come by. Scent: 11. Projection: moderate. Longevity: 7 hours, 4 inches from skin. Recommended.

  • Total surprise: this incredible fragrance by Jacques Cavallier is terribly misunderstood. I’ve compared it to YSL Y, Versace Pour Homme, or Estée Lauder Pleasures, and they don’t even come close. I know those perfumes well, but Diamonds is in a different league. They say it smells like pure chocolate, but you’d need to smell Mancera Chocolate Greedy to understand it. I haven’t smelled anything like it in 15 years searching for similar scents. It’s discreet, with a reserved sillage and short longevity, which is typical of its style. It makes me want to bathe in it. Nobody mentions the caramel, which is what I smell most, even more than the cocoa. It also smells of nutmeg, with that citrus freshness and a caramelized base with a hint of cocoa. It’s delicious and peculiar. Try it, original or dupe. Some get headaches from it, so be careful.

Elegant and comfortable; I’ve worn it for over 5 years. It’s super sophisticated and I haven’t found anything like it—a client recommended it to me and I have no regrets. At first, it smells strong to my nose, with a sweet and minty touch, but I don’t detect the cocoa people mention; instead, I sense wood. It projects well, it’s masculine and nocturnal, lasts 4-6 hours, and depends heavily on the weather.

  • The best lotion I’ve ever tried, though I think they discontinued it. Does anyone know where to get the original?

  • GatoFragance1909

I bought a mini collection of Giorgio Armani colognes, 5 ml bottles. This one came in that box; honestly, it doesn’t wow me, but it’s decent. I’d use it for something casual. The first impression was that it smelled like hair gel, but once it dries down, it smells good. It doesn’t project or last like a beast, but it’s decent for an Eau de Toilette.

  • Santi181291

I’ve had this since its launch in 2008. It’s a pleasant scent, delivers on the listed notes, has good longevity and projection. The liquid changed from clear to yellow, probably due to aging, and even after 17 years, it still smells incredible.

  • I was gifted this perfume for my graduation in 2009, and I still love it today; it brings back great memories. I haven’t found anything that compares or smells even close to this masterpiece by Jacques Cavallier, especially since I watched it lose its projection and longevity over the years until I stopped buying it in 2020. To me, it smells like an elegant Italian guy in casual wear: citrusy and woody with that creamy cocoa touch. I detect the citrus and vetiver at first, accompanied by guaiac wood, which becomes more prominent over time as the creamy cocoa takes over. Those who say it’s sweet have no idea; it’s unsweetened cocoa. I’d love to find something similar, but it’s really hard.

  • Another gem from Armani. I’m not usually a big fan of cocoa notes, but this one completely won me over.

  • Diegachocj10

I first met this in 2009 as a gift from my dad, another absolute legend among perfumes; I threw away everything else because this was the only one I needed for any occasion. It’s been 17 years, and I haven’t found a single scent that comes close. I still have a little bit of the last bottle I got three or four years ago, and it still sounds modern; every time I wear it, someone asks what that smells like.
