I just tried this new perfume from the Dahlia Divin line; it’s refined, elegant, and strong, but very sweet for my taste. I don’t know much about notes and can’t say what dominates, but it’s not what I like. I own Dahlia Noir L’Eau and it’s my absolute favorite, but it has nothing to do with this Divin line; they’re completely different. I’m sorry they discontinued the Noir. Moving on to DDLN, it’s strong at the opening, probably due to the mimosa, but I’m not sure exactly what it smells like. Then comes the vanilla, a note I don’t like in perfumes, and I think that’s what makes it so sweet. It’s for winter, more for night, though it could be used during the day. If you love sweet, vanilla-heavy fragrances, I recommend it; it’s high quality and the bottle is gorgeous with that gradient gold. I own several Givenchys, my favorite designer, and I was looking to replace the Noir with this, but it’s not my style. I’ll reiterate the quality and the beauty of the packaging.
I just tried this new addition to the Dahlia Divin line. It’s refined, elegant, and strong, but very sweet for my taste. I don’t know much about notes, but it’s not what I like. I own Dahlia Noir L’eau and that’s my favorite, but it has nothing to do with this Divin; I regret the discontinuation of Noir. DDLN is strong at the opening, I suppose because of the mimosa, then the vanilla kicks in, which I don’t like in perfumes, and I think that’s what makes it so sweet. It’s for winter, more for night, though it could work during the day. For those who love sweet and vanilla scents, I highly recommend it. It has an exquisite sweet honey aroma that transforms, like the people who surround you with their fixation. It’s friendly to the nose. A sublime and classic creation that any Demachy fan must own.
I bought it at the freeshop after smelling many perfumes. I think the dizziness made me make the wrong choice. It’s not bad, but it just doesn’t suit me. It’s extremely sweet. The mimosa in the opening overwhelms me. In the end, it becomes pleasant thanks to the tonka (one of my favorites). I’ll have to tolerate it and get used to it because I have so many milliliters left.
I bought it at the free shop after sniffing many perfumes. I think the fragrance overload made me make the wrong decision to take it. It’s not bad, but it just doesn’t work for me. It’s extremely sweet. The mimosa in the opening overwhelms me. By the end, it becomes pleasant thanks to the tonka bean, which is one of my favorites. I’ll have to tough it out and get used to it because I have so many milliliters left, haha.
One summer afternoon while searching for a floral, I had an encounter with this fragrance and it was love at first sight. I define it as a strong floral where mimosa is the protagonist, reinforced by tonka and vanilla, making it very sweet and extremely long-lasting. The earthy touch comes from vetiver and sandalwood. Technically it’s like that, but in essence, it’s for those who don’t want to go unnoticed: very sweet and floral, yet sophisticated and elegant.
A summer afternoon searching for a floral scent, and I found my love at first sight! I’d define it as a potent floral where mimosa takes the lead, bolstered by tonka bean and vanilla that make it super sweet with great longevity. The vetiver and sandalwood add an earthy touch, but forget the technique: this is meant to grab attention. Very sweet and floral, yet with a lot of class and elegance.
The essence of a muse: divine mimosa. You arrived through an exchange and stole my heart at first sight. Born from the nose of Francois Demachy, the expert in mimosa, jasmine, and Grasse roses, you are Dahlia Divin Le Nectar. From the first spray, I felt like a semi-goddess bathed in gold, needing no jewelry to shine. You symbolize femininity at its peak, a radiant and sensual beauty amidst the whisper of a perfumed breeze, with mimosa taking center stage. Ideal for highlighting your natural charm and feeling a velvet caress. A nectar that invites subtle seduction. Projection: moderate to soft. Longevity: 5 hours. Top: mimosa. Heart: jasmine and rose. Base: vanilla, tonka, sandalwood, vetiver, and musk.
Dahlia Divin Le Nectar de Parfum (2016) is the second flanker in the line, following the EDP and EDT, and this intense version with a golden aura comes from the hands of François Demachy. While it shares that white floral and sandalwood, it focuses more on a golden mimosa with amber tints, accompanied by sweet but not cloying vanilla and tonka. By removing the plum from the original, the opening is an explosion of mimosa leaning into a yellow floral with delicious vanilla, not gourmand. The tonka adds creaminess, sometimes intense with the sandalwood and an earthy hint from the vetiver. The jasmine links to the original but is more of a yellow floral with orangey reflections. Another masterpiece by Demachy, very bold and classy; it feels mature, not for teenagers. Performance is similar to the EDP, potent at first and then linear, lasting well, perhaps a bit longer on my skin.
Dahlia Divin Le Nectar (2016) is the second flanker in the line, following the 2014 EDP and the 2015 EDT. This intense version with a golden aura comes from the hands of Francois Demachy. While it shares the white florals and woody sandalwood of the original, here the focus is on a golden mimosa with amber hints, paired with powerful yet sweet vanilla and tonka—rich but not cloying. It’s beautifully crafted and classy. Stepping away from the plum of the original, the opening is an explosion of mimosa leaning into a delicious yellow floral with vanilla; sweet but not gourmand. The tonka adds creaminess, sometimes intensifying with the sandalwood and adding an earthy touch from the vetiver. The jasmine bridges the gap with the original but feels more like a yellow floral than white, radiating an intense golden glow with orange reflections. Another bold, classy creation by Demachy; it feels mature, not for teenagers. Performance is slightly better than the EDP, very similar: potent for the first hour, then linear, but it lasts well, perhaps a bit longer on my skin.
I love this fragrance. It’s sweet, warm, and very winter-appropriate. I feel honeyed even though honey isn’t listed in the notes. People have complimented it so much.
I adore it. It’s sweet, warm, and very wintery. I get a honeyed vibe even though honey isn’t listed in the notes. People complimented me a lot wearing it.
With this brand, I either fall in love or get disappointed: some last hours, others vanish in two minutes lol. This one disappears too quickly, what a shame. I love mimosa and there are so few perfumes that make it the star. I’ll try it in summer to see if it surprises me.
As soon as I put it on, it instantly reminds me of Poison Girl EDP.
Pure mimosa, smells exactly like Givenchy’s Amarige; a potent floral scent.
