What a beautiful perfume. It radiates sophistication. It’s very feminine and has a strong presence without being heavy or cloying. Perfect for a decisive personality without needing to overpower.

This perfume is a beauty: elegant, sophisticated, feminine, it has everything I look for in a fragrance—sweetness, sillage, and longevity. Despite being very feminine, it works wonderfully on men; I tried it on my husband and we’re both fascinated. The quality is magnificent for the price, something hard to find these days. What I perceive most is that sweet, velvety note of peach with jasmine, vanilla, and woods; they don’t list it, but I detect amber and a touch of caramel. It’s very elegant, ideal for fall, winter, and fresh spring evenings.

Dahlia Divin is a distinguished perfume of extraordinary quality and dimension, sophisticated, feminine, addictive, with powerful accords, predominantly fruity, ambered, and balsamic. It has great sillage and longevity, and its multi-layered evolution becomes increasingly intoxicating. It attracts unconsciously, and that enveloping, musky trail—a hallmark of the Givenchy house—persists for days. I consider it perfect for fall and winter due to its warmth, and appropriate for festive events because it’s classic, distinguished, and always praised. Regarding the product, I think the price-to-quality ratio is fair. Dahlia Divin deserves a place in any collection; I love it. Who will like it: amber lovers.

I really loved this perfume. I bought the original version: sweet, floral, and delicate. Today it’s been reformulated, as you can see on the Givenchy Beauty page, and they even changed the bottle. I bought it again without knowing about the change, but as soon as I sprayed it, I realized it wasn’t the same scent I remembered and loved. It doesn’t have a distinct character; at first, you smell the plum, but then it settles into a flat, nondescript aroma. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I had a ton of samples of this perfume and used them for lounging at home. I really liked it, but I felt it wasn’t my style—too mature for me (if you look at my other perfumes, you’ll understand why). Finally, I got tired of what I’ve been wearing and feel ready to make a qualitative leap and obsess over oriental fragrances. This is definitely on my wishlist. The only thing I don’t like much is the packaging; it’s very simple. I hope they release a limited edition with a more interesting concept. I think this is a perfume created to last through the ages, defying trends, and in a few decades it will be a vintage jewel.

It’s a lovely perfume, delicate and elegant. Not very intense, so it’s better suited for warm weather. It also doesn’t last long. I’d buy it again.

Let me share my experience: looking for a daily winter scent that felt like me, a perfumer handed me the sample. The opening was nice; I kept the sample in my wallet, and hours later, upon opening it, a rich, cheerful, and distinguished sweetness emerged. Decided, I bought it. On skin, the opening was pleasant, citrus is noticeable with a ‘fresh’ touch. But that freshness faded quickly, giving way to a very marked oriental side, like a hot infusion. It reminded me of Avon Timeless (nothing alike, but also ‘warm’), which confused me since I never liked that vibe. After a few minutes, the spicy, dry notes became more prominent until up close it felt overwhelming. From a distance, in the trail, it seemed sweeter and more harmonious. The middle stage mixes likes and dislikes. By the base, the notes that convinced me are almost imperceptible. In short, it’s serious, elegant, and refined, uncommon, but I don’t feel ‘rich’. It’s not jovial. It’s for formal and evening occasions. It’s complex with a marked evolution. I bought it thinking it was for daily wear and didn’t find that. It disappointed me not because it’s bad, but clearly it’s not for me. My advice: try it on skin and analyze all stages. Not suitable as a gift or for everyone.

It’s sophisticated, romantic but not cute, meant to be worn close to the skin. It has glamour. It’s a warm oriental. The opening feels acidic, like oranges, then the plum distinguishes itself, followed by white flowers, jasmine, and sandalwood. The start is strong but then blends with the skin. It doesn’t last long for an oriental; at 8 hours it’s very close to the skin, perhaps that’s the point. Perfect for special nights.

Dahlia Divin is fascinating in its context. It’s not the legendary breakthrough Givenchy promised as ‘the golden aura’, but it’s well-constructed, balanced, and assertive under a cloak of false tenderness that guards pride and honor. It’s luminous, elegant, and refined, interpreting current organic elegance without overheated sugar or wild aldehydes. It’s a floral oriental with a consistent chypre base. It handles a fresh angle of white flowers combined with a slight acidic plum sweetness, then a creamy transmutation of fresh jasmine where vetiver and sandalwood appear. Finally, patchouli enhances the freshness and concludes with faint residues of white flowers. It doesn’t explode with glucosidic sweetness but with controlled acidic fruity notes, with assertive floral chypre bases. If Givenchy didn’t aim too high, it would be one of the best of the decade. It has quality and interesting beauty, though it’s underestimated. Later, in 2015, the Eau de Toilette came out, fruitier and sweeter, without losing composure, though with moderate trail and longevity.

Sweet and floral. Both on the sample and on skin, it smells great. White flowers are noticeable immediately, then the plum, and paying attention you discover the sandalwood and patchouli. It’s somewhat of an adult 30+ scent, sober but sweet, watch out. A bit nineties and powdery, so I’d recommend autumn or winter. Longevity is good, 5 hours without issue. The trail varies depending on applications; with 3 sprays I think it’s enough, but if you want others to notice it, 5 sprays surely leave a trail.

I love this fragrance; I always saw it but it didn’t catch my attention until I tested the Eau de Toilette and fell in love, so in the end I chose the Eau de Parfum since it’s winter and it felt like its name, Divine. It’s my perfume, very elegant, it lingers on the skin, it’s long-lasting, and very pleasant to wear. The only thing I notice more and more is that it’s starting to sound a lot like Cinema by Yves Saint Laurent, I’m not sure if I’m imagining it, but maybe the jasmine makes it very similar. Anyway, I like both a lot, but Divine is softer. This is great. Bravo to Givenchy.

Put it on and felt amazing: fresh, feminine, and powerful, with top-tier wood, the perfect balance of white florals, and a fruity touch. It has that retro vibe that makes it unique among current scents. Highly recommended! Lasts a long time with a decent sillage. Anyone who loves vetiver in feminine perfumes will adore this.

My son brings me samples from the store, and this one seemed enchanting and enigmatic to me. It’s completely floral, but in the dry down, it smells of sandalwood, one of my favorite notes. I need to test it on my skin; at first sniff, I loved it.

Another gem from Demachy for us: plum and jasmine with a sandalwood that elevates the whole trio. It’s a blend that makes me happy, in a word: exquisite, I love it 😀

Delicious and different fragrance compared to the others. My nose took a liking to it immediately, with the plum dominating at first. Unfortunately, the longevity and sillage are weak, but it’s a rich scent ideal for daily wear or work.
