Descripción
Givenchy's Gentleman Society Eau de Parfum Ambrée is a woody oriental fragrance for men. This creation, signed by perfumer Olivier Cresp, was launched in 2025. Its composition opens with top notes of nutmeg, heliotrope, and juniper berries; the heart reveals a harmony of iris root, narcissus, sandalwood, Madagascar vetiver, and Haitian vetiver; and the base settles on tobacco, Madagascar vanilla, and Peru balsam.

I own Gentleman Society, Extreme, and Ambree. For me, the best of all is the original, Gentleman Society. It’s perfect. It has a great iris (though they don’t officially specify it) and in the base, a sweet, soft touch of vanilla. Super versatile, very feminine, balanced (unlike Extreme), and precise. Second place goes to Society Gentleman Ambree. After a few days, I like it more and more; it’s amazing, super sensual and addictive, perfect for a date, for seduction, sexy. Third place is Extreme. It’s not an intense version of the original; it’s a different flanker. It has more depth and complexity, it’s more masculine and dark, but it’s not better. And you have to like the coffee note (I’m not sure if it’s actually coffee, could be another accord). It reminds me of Paco Rabanne’s Black XS and the recent Dior Homme Parfum 2025. If you’re indifferent to or don’t like the coffee note, you’ll prefer the original. Since I don’t like the coffee, Extreme doesn’t improve on the original, so they aren’t redundant. I also have Gentleman Eau de Toilette Intense and the original is better. Same with the Gentleman Eau de Toilette with pear accord; the original wins. I had Gentleman Reserve Privée and I think the tonka base or whatever it is smells horrible. I can’t stand the smell, so I had to sell it.
I discovered this new flanker thanks to a sample they gave me and I’m impressed. It brings a sophisticated and distinctive air to the current designer landscape. From the first spray, it smells like vanilla with character, nothing cloying, with a bourbon touch that subtly reminds me of Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. But instead of following a gourmand line, the vanilla feels more mature and refined. In terms of performance, it doesn’t project excessively; it seems intentional. It’s not one of those scents that fills a room, but one that stays at a personal level, enveloping you in an elegant and distinguished aura. Anyone close will notice and appreciate it. After the 6th hour, it stays closer to the skin, leaving an intimate and enveloping trail. Another interesting point is its animal touch (which I perceive), which sets it apart from many recent designer fragrances. This nuance adds depth and seductive character, avoiding the generic. It shines especially in winter, but also works in spring and fall with moderate use. Its warmth and elegance make it perfect for dates, formal events, or daily wear if you’re looking for discreet but sophisticated presence. In short, this Gentleman Society Ambree is one of the best proposals of the year, combining versatility, elegance, and a distinctive scent. For me, it’s a guaranteed buy.
A super amazing perfume, incredible, it’s delicious but it’s for people who like this very masculine line from Givenchy and it’s the best in the Society line.
After trying the collection, I bought Reserve Privée and Ambree; these two are my favorites. Ambree is a perfume that both men and women love; the notes are well-balanced and none overpowers the others.
I tested it at duty-free. I like the iris scent and it feels complex, but the sensation was like a very dense soup where the alpha-irone (or whatever replicates the iris) dominates, before moving to other molecules designed to stick where you sprayed them. Pleasant but heavy. Maybe cooler temperatures soften it if you spray it under the shirt, between the fabric and the sweater.
Well, what can I say… I tested it on my skin several times and the result was the same. The scent is very pleasant; the tobacco and vanilla feel high quality. My big problem? TERRIBLE performance and projection. Be careful, maybe it’s just my skin, but the hype around this perfume seems absolutely exaggerated.
BRUTAL! It’s the undisputed queen of the Gentleman Society line. Smells incredibly rich and super masculine, perfect for fall, winter, and those crisp spring or early summer nights. Longevity and projection are good, though it could be a 10/10, so I’m giving it a 9.
The Givenchy Gentleman Society line is my favorite in designer perfumes; it always smells elegant and attractive. Extreme already raised the bar with coffee and lily, but this new flanker surprised me: they’ve upped the aromatic quality. It’s hard to improve something that’s already nearly perfect, but they did it here. You get the lily with an elegant, seductive tobacco note, one of my favorites, which balances everything and elevates the already established DNA. Performance is acceptable for longevity and projection. Ideal for fall, winter, and some spring days. It’s elegant, not just for special occasions, but for dressing up accordingly. I recommend it to anyone seeking sophistication and versatility.
I won’t break it down note by note since it’s always the same, but it’s a warm, cozy scent that makes you want to sniff it over and over. It makes you feel good and at peace. It’s more wearable and pleasant than its predecessors, which are also great, but this one is all-terrain without losing elegance. For me, one of the best launches of 2025.
On the skin, it reminded me a bit of Stronger With You (the EDT). It’s quite youthful and, honestly, doesn’t have much personality to speak of.
Excellent perfume, like almost all in the line. I’d say it’s the best designer fragrance to come out this year. The only downside? The dry-down reminds me too much of the Reserve Privé. Still, I want it.
I’m sorry, but I think it’s the weakest in the Society line. It doesn’t stand out in anything; while the line surprises little, the Extreme has its distinct identity well balanced. Here it’s a mix of reminiscences of others, well noted above. It’s not ugly, but it ends up in no-man’s-land. Anyway, as it seems many loved it while others didn’t. So go and try it, there’s no other way. Cheers.
Givenchy Gentleman Society Ambrée has definitely earned the title of my favorite perfume for party nights when I’m dressed up. It exudes charisma, presence, and sophistication from the very first second. The opening is enveloping, with a warm, modern amber blending with spices and an elegant woody base. There’s something magnetic about its evolution: it maintains a sensual profile, slightly sweet but not cloying, perfect for standing out in evening and formal settings. Longevity is fantastic: 8-10 hours with a projection that doesn’t go unnoticed but stays refined. It doesn’t invade, but it leaves a mark. It’s one of those that generates compliments and people asking ‘what are you wearing?’. For me, it’s the ideal balance between modern and classic, with an air of mystery and elegance. If you’re looking for class for events or dinners where you’re well-dressed, it’s a safe bet.
If you’ve ever loved the original Dior Homme (not the soft, generic version), this fragrance will pleasantly surprise you. It has that elegant, enveloping, slightly powdery profile we’ve been missing since the original was discontinued. In fact, Gentleman Society Ambrée doesn’t just recall it; in many aspects, it surpasses it. It’s an excellent alternative, and personally, I even prefer it over Dior Homme Intense. It’s more mature, darker, and has a refined sillage that leaves a mark without being invasive. If you like the sophisticated, warm, and slightly sweet style of Dior Homme, this Givenchy creation could be your new favorite. It has the right balance between Gentleman Society Extrême and Dior Homme.
Not for me. And that’s a shame because I generally like the Givenchy Society/Gentleman line, especially the Extrême and Reserve Privé. I thought I’d like it, but the scent doesn’t attract me, especially the opening.
I got a 10ml decant and tried it this week. I didn’t have much faith in it at first since I’m not a huge Givenchy fan, but this edition has earned my respect. Unlike the other Gentleman scents, I see this as suitable for someone under 25; it keeps the elegance but takes it in a more youthful direction. 9/10.
I’m saving this for the future in case it helps someone. Today I tested it against the Gentleman Eau de Parfum, which is my favorite, and honestly, the first thing you notice is a well-present tobacco note right from the start, balanced with a soft vanilla that isn’t cloying—that’s what characterizes the Society line. It’s much less versatile; I see it as cold-weather and evening wear, while the first Society is perfect for spring. Even though I’m not an expert, it smells very well balanced. I disagree with those who equate it to Reservé Privé; there’s no whiskey or chestnut here, which are what sustain that boozy, nutty iris scent. Scent: 8.5/10. Longevity: seems to last 8-10 hours. Projection: good at first, then moderate, inviting people to get closer.
What a great perfume! Good longevity and sillage, perfect for winter. Nothing new, it reminded me a lot of CH Pasion for Him. The iris is worked the same way, so owning both is redundant. Rating: 8/10.
A very refined and modern fragrance, similar to its siblings, a successor but with iris, narcissus, and vetiver, all very measured and balanced. It lasts several hours in full sweet floral intensity before drying down to a very woody and powdery base, though it remains very present. Truly luxurious, beautiful bottle, and yes, it’s worth it. So far from the triumphant cups and toy rays… Bravo Givenchy!
Gentleman Society Eau de Parfum Ambrée is a very refined balance between classic elegance and contemporary sensuality. It follows the sophisticated DNA of the Gentleman line but takes a warmer, more enveloping turn thanks to the amber, creamy vanilla, and soft tobacco. It doesn’t shout, but it leaves a mark. It’s well-balanced: sweet without being cloying, warm without being heavy, elegant without being cold. The narcissus, vetiver, and vanilla give it a comforting and sensual character, very attractive without being excessive. It has a ‘niche light’ vibe: it conveys quality and sophistication without being complex. Ideal if you’re starting in high-end perfumery but don’t want something challenging like an oud or animal leather. Perfect for cold afternoons and nights, autumn/winter, elegant dinners, or seductive moments without seeming pretentious. It also works in temperate climates indoors or at the office, as its trail is contained but present. It’s aimed at mature men or young gentlemen who prefer warm, sober fragrances without losing the modern side. It’s also a great option for those tired of the typical blue DNA and looking for something more intimate but with presence. It could work as a couple’s fragrance. Worth it if you’re looking for something enveloping and versatile within the warm-sweet style without losing class. A great choice if you already have fresh perfumes and want something more sensual for special occasions. Do a skin test before buying the full bottle, as the projection varies a lot.
It’s a really special fragrance. Without a doubt, the best of designer launches to date. It manages to be elegant and classy without feeling old or vintage, as that sweet part of the opening makes it notably modern and ideal for wearing well-dressed. Definitely a 10/10 that clearly competes with other formal fragrances like Reserve Privée or Dior Homme Intense, offering Society Ambrée significantly better performance than these two.
Most people rate it as the best of 2025, but to me, it sounds like they’re trying to pass off designer scents as niche. It smells just like the Society Extreme, with a slight animalic touch and less sweetness—basically the same thing. Performance is regular, and on clothes, you can tell it’s lower quality than on skin. The bottle is the only saving grace. My advice: buy the cheaper one. It’s overrated and not original. 3/10.
It doesn’t match the Extreme; this Ambrée is sweet and balsamic from start to finish, while the other is dark and dry with a prominent vetiver. I’m hooked on the Ambrée because of that evolution that makes you keep smelling your arm, or rather, those intermittent bursts it sends off. The only clear thing is Givenchy’s quality: natural aromas, zero synthetics. If it lacks something, it’s that it doesn’t fill the room, but I’d rather have that quality than something loud.
I like to take a nap with it in winter because it gives me a little warmth; since I got it, I haven’t used my blanket. If you wear it to go out at night, people hug you without asking and say ‘I feel so cozy with you, I love you’ (a colleague did this to me, I told him I’m married and he was at my wedding, but he didn’t care). I’m not lying.
My favorite so far; I own more than 40 perfumes. It’s the most elegant one I have, it rivals my Boss Bottled Absolu. This fragrance screams ‘gentleman’ in its entirety. I bought it for events and elegant dates where I wanted to stand out. The only thing I don’t like is that its trail isn’t as high as its longevity. Otherwise, a 10/10. It’s not a blind buy; I feel it’s an acquired taste.
Gentleman Society Eau de Parfum Ambrée by Givenchy is a woody, amber, and vanilla fragrance. It has a very pleasant sweet opening with slightly fresh nuances that don’t last long. As it develops, spicy and woody elements come through; it gave me a cappuccino sensation with balsamic and vanilla touches. I think it’s suitable for autumn and winter and special situations, more for night than day. Its longevity has been very good, lasting almost 9 hours, with a regular trail for the first hour and a half before fading gradually. This version is tasty, although from a distance it’s not as unique because it fits the trend of other woody and spicy scents like 1 Million, but with a more modern twist.
Not much to say: I bought the 60ml and a week later the 100ml to have plenty in case they discontinue it. A jewel, elegant, serious, formal, and attractive. It’s a compliment bomb from both men and women. With all the garbage brands are releasing, it’s refreshing that sometimes a proper, high-quality fragrance like this comes out. For me, a 10/10.
Buy blind because of the hype. I’ve liked it. I own several Givenchys and this is my favorite by far, much better than Reserve Privée. They aren’t my absolute favorite scents, I admit it’s elegant, but I don’t feel that way about it. Although I spray a lot, I never run out unless it’s summer or depending on the perfume. It’s curious that I stop feeling it shortly; after 4 hours, I can’t even tell you what it’s like. I’ll test it again to see if it settles. The other three Givenchys I own behave the same way.
What a beauty! I fell in love with Reserve Privée, which I feel is warmer. After meeting this one, it seems more youthful to me, a total showstopper.
The launch of the year, absolutely insane. The opening is rare and a bit feminine, but wait 20 minutes and I swear to you, it’s an experience. I started by ruling it out because of that, but then it transforms into something niche. In the end, the tobacco and Peru balsam come through, an exquisite and very masculine blend. I’ll keep updating this review because more than what I wear on my arm, this is a supremely elegant fragrance.
Very mature aroma. Total gentleman vibe for guys over 30. Guys under 18, stay away from this perfume.
Great tobacco, sex, and balsamic amber-based perfume. It came out a bit pricey, but sometimes you can find it for 40/50 euros, and it’s well worth it.
Talcum powder tobacco with a very light touch of cocoa. A man’s perfume, total masculinity. I love it.
Amazing perfume! Truly… spectacular vanilla tobacco… and add that it smells very masculine, those kinds where you just put it on and you know you’re going to stand out. For my taste, it works perfectly on cold days and especially at night. For a romantic date, it works incredibly well… it has that warm, attractive, and slightly mysterious touch that grabs attention without being excessive. In summary, highly recommended if you want to smell different and leave a great impression. Rating: 9.0/10.
Okay, I like these Society versions because they don’t resemble each other, so you can own them all without repeating scents. To start, for many perfume addicts, this might smell mainstream, but believe me, when people outside this world try it, they automatically reject it, and it sits at level 1 of “complex” perfumes. I think it’s that smoky, slightly dirty tobacco and resin part, but then it has that sweet amber side with the spiciness of nutmeg that gives it an interesting duality. Just for that complexity in a year full of rehashes, I’m happy to have it. Personally, I prefer the Extreme for its dry, talcum-like, and woody aroma, but this isn’t bad at all for dates or special events. Yes, for ages 27 and up, 8/10.
Holy fragrance! I took advantage of a sale and what a good deal. Very masculine and proven to be a hit with women; that touch of tobacco and iris gives it a mysterious and attractive vibe, with just enough vanilla to avoid being cloying. It invites closeness. I don’t know the Extreme or the first Society, and honestly, I don’t notice them as similar, only a bit of iris and narcissus in the background. I’ve read harsh reviews, but in my case, the longevity is excellent, over 7 hours, and if applied on clothes, it lingers for hours. Ideal for night, though maybe also for formal daytime situations or special occasions. Even on non-humid spring or summer nights, I can wear it because it’s not cloying. Total Gentleman.
I love the Gentleman line. I own the Reserve Privée and the EDT, tried the Boisée and the EDP, and I like them all, so I picked this on recommendation. At first sniff, it didn’t grab me because it feels different from the classic DNA, but with wear… I fell in love. It has an addictive, elegant, and controlled masculine sweetness. It’s one of those perfumes that makes you spend the day smelling your arm without getting tired. It’s not cloying and is well-constructed. Performance is quite good: not huge projection, but it lasts 8 hours on skin, which is correct for this type of fragrance. It gains with time, and if you like Gentleman, it’s worth understanding and wearing.
I have no words; this is the peak of elegant men’s fragrances. I’ve always supported Givenchy and Dior for their unique scents that Arab brands can’t replicate. But this one hit my heart: the opening nutmeg makes it cozy, and the fine pipe tobacco combined with creamy vanilla makes it, for me, the best perfume of 2025. I say it myself—a young reviewer who doesn’t want to call it the best in history.
Honestly, I bought it because of the hype, but it doesn’t deliver on the promise. It smells off—a messy blend of tobacco, spices, talcum powder, and wood where nothing really fits together. Unlike its sibling Reserve Privée, which is pure elegance, this feels rough, with no standout notes, just a marked tobacco and a strong spicy kick at the start. There’s no vanilla, only a very soft talcum in the base with the typical Gentleman line woods. The projection is poor, lasting only 3-4 hours with zero sillage. It’s overrated, and there are better options for the price. If you’re looking for elegance, go for the Reserve Privée instead.
It starts with a strong nutmeg note that gives it total presence, and at 15 minutes, the tobacco kicks in. The nutmeg lingers, providing the base. As for the tobacco? It’s very refined, nothing animalistic, and anyone will enjoy it. At 45 minutes, the vanilla appears softly, but it’s not sweet; it blends seamlessly with everything. Without a doubt, a classy fragrance.
