Perfumer
Jacques Flori
Jacques Flori is a highly respected perfumer who has created some of the industry’s most beloved fragrances. He was born in France and showed an early interest in medicine, but he eventually left his studies to pursue his passion for sailing. However, he ended up falling in love with perfumery and devoted his life to the art of fragrance creation.
Flori’s career in the fragrance industry began when he was taken in by Jean Mober, owner of the Robertet fragrance house. Mober became Flori’s mentor, teaching him the skills and techniques needed to create beautiful fragrances. With Mober’s guidance, Flori quickly became a talented perfumer in his own right.
Over the years, Flori has worked for many prestigious brands, such as Acqua Reale, Amouage, Chacok, Etro, Jovoy Paris, M.INT, Orens, Parfums de Marly, Reminiscence, and Xerjoff. He is in high demand for his mastery of complex and beautiful incense aromas, which have become a distinctive signature of his work.
Flori has created many beloved fragrances over the years, such as Xerjoff Bouquet Ideale, Jovoy Paris Psychedelique, Pierre Balmain Ivoire, Jovoy Paris La Liturgie des Heures, and Amouage The Library Collection Opus IV. His work is widely recognized in the industry and is considered one of the most talented perfumers.
In addition to his work as a perfumer, Flori is known for his cheerful personality and his willingness to advise and teach other perfumers. He enjoys working with other people who share his passion for creating fragrances, and he is always eager to take on new challenges.
Flori’s love of the sea, the mountains, and horses is often reflected in his fragrances, which frequently incorporate elements from these environments. He feels grateful for the freedom of expression he enjoys at Robertet, where he can bring his ideas to life and create some of the world’s most beautiful fragrances.
