Any thoughts on this one?
Hi Guzbus! If you know Givenchy’s Gentlemen Only Absolute or Karl Lagerfeld’s Private Klub, this smells very similar to both. The longevity doesn’t come close to those, but it’s still a really good fragrance. Hope this helps. Cheers.
Gabinetegil, thanks a lot! I think these new releases look promising, so I’ll give it a try. Hoping it doesn’t disappoint.
Stopped by El Corte Inglés and the bottle really caught my eye—elegant and modern. Upon testing it, I felt a wave of optimism. It starts fresh, then turns spicy with masculine pepper, clean lavender, and clean patchouli. It’s not dark as it seems; instead, it’s ethereal with creamy vanilla and young wood. Works for day and night, perfect for a laid-back yet seductive guy. Performance is superb with a significant sillage. Jacques Huclier signs off with a guarantee and fair price. Highly recommended, it has a seductive spirit.
I stumbled upon this fragrance at El Corte Inglés one afternoon; the bottle caught my eye with its elegance and modernity. Upon application, it filled me with great optimism. It starts fresh, evolving into a pleasant, masculine spicy note with pepper, harmonized with clean lavender and patchouli. It’s not dark as the bottle suggests—it’s ethereal, featuring lots of pepper and patchouli, creamy vanilla, and a deep yet youthful wood. Very versatile, suitable for day and night, any style; it suits a relaxed and seductive young man perfectly. Performance is superb with a considerable trail. Created by Jacques Huclier, a guarantee of quality with an interesting price. Highly recommended, it has a seductive spirit.
Although it targets an audience over 25, it boils down to lavender and vanilla with a hint of pepper. It’s slightly fresh, creamy, and subtly sweet. I see it as versatile, but not for every occasion; it doesn’t compete with 1 Million, Invictus, or other sugary youthful fragrances. It’s more classic and mature. A good option for spring or autumn afternoons or evenings, with semi-formal or formal attire. It can be strong in the heat due to its excellent longevity. Scent: 8, Versatility: 7.5, Longevity: 9, Projection: 7, Sillage: 8. Beautiful bottle and atomizer.
A fragrance for men over 25: lavender-vanilla with a hint of pepper. Somewhat fresh, creamy, and subtly sweet from the vanilla. I see it as versatile, but not for every moment; it definitely doesn’t share an audience with 1 Million, Invictus, or other sugary youthful scents. It’s more classic and mature. A great option for spring or autumn evenings, dressed in semi-formal or formal attire. Can get strong in the heat, considering its excellent longevity. Scent: 8, Versatility: 7.5, Longevity: 9, Projection: 7, Sillage: 8. Beautiful bottle and atomizer.
I tested it on skin; it’s rich with a medium synthetic opening. The downside is that it reminds me of several scents already on the market, so I’ll pass. Oh, and on paper, it smells like shampoo.
A delight. 10/10.
I’m not sure, but the opening from minute one reminds me of Versace Blue Jeans, and its dry-down is similar to Jean Paul Gaultier Aviator. For an Eau de Parfum, the projection is good, but the longevity is terrible. Otherwise, it’s a very rich and enjoyable scent overall.
Zara Night Pour Homme I, nothing.
Reminds me quite a bit of D&G The One For Men EDT. Same style, same trail, and similar longevity, but much more affordable.
Reminds me a lot of D&G The One For Men EDT. Same style, same sillage and longevity, but much more affordable.
Spectacular. Vanilla, lavender, and pepper beautifully blended. Nighttime elegance. Good longevity and projection. Totally recommended for me, I’ll definitely repurchase.
Spectacular. Vanilla, lavender, and pepper blended wonderfully. Nighttime elegance. Good longevity and projection. Totally recommended for me. I’ll definitely be repurchasing.
A fragrance that surprised me yet offers nothing new; very similar to YSL La Nuit de l’Homme due to the lavender, but I prefer the Boucheron version with its citrus opening. While YSL dries down to musk, this one settles into pepper, vanilla, and woods. Compared to my 2017 Nuit de l’Homme, the Boucheron performs better: it’s not a bomb, projecting about 3 inches for a maximum of 7 hours. I was surprised by the low price. It shares similarities with Gentleman Only Absolute, though the Givenchy has a more pronounced nutmeg note.
Projects and lasts longer than it seems at first. Pleasant and easy-to-wear aroma, definitely worth trying. It’s in the vanilla family but has its own personality. Great for day and night, versatile for any occasion. Works better in cooler seasons than in heavy heat. I own a small bottle and it’s already one of my favorites.
Perfect everyday perfume, high quality with notes everyone loves: lavender and old-fashioned vanilla. Moderate longevity, totally recommended; if it lasted almost ‘beast mode,’ it would be my signature scent.
