  • It’s really beautiful, honestly. It has echoes of Infusion d’Iris, Dior Homme, and Iris Malaghan; it borrows details from all three, and in my opinion, it’s the best execution of them all for me. Why? Because it’s an iris that’s slightly spicy at the opening, then turns creamy, and finally becomes sweet and cozy; for me, it’s perfect. Its longevity is excellent—I still get bursts of the scent more than six hours after applying it. That said, its sillage is intimate; you’re the one who appreciates it, and that’s enough for me. The price is high, but if you find it on sale, like I did, it’s a great deal considering the 125 ml bottle you get.

I never thought I’d end up buying a powdery perfume with an intimate sillage and short longevity, given my usual preference for vetiver, leather, and woods with massive projection and lasting power. But once I tried it on my skin, it fit me so perfectly that it’s simply a masterpiece. It opens with pear and some citrus notes in perfect harmony with the iris, which dominates from start to finish: talc-like and powdery, yet not old-fashioned or smelling of stale makeup. Although it’s not original, those subtle nuances and its high quality make it unique and special, completely winning me over. I encourage you to try it on your skin; you might be surprised. As a side note, the sales associate told me she never thought it would suit a man and had never sold it to one before. Update: its longevity is actually very good.
