Descripción

Serpent Bohème by Boucheron is a floral chypre fragrance for women. Launched in 2020, this composition was created by perfumer Anne Flipo. The top notes feature a vibrant opening of mandarin and black currant; the heart reveals the elegance of Turkish rose, sambac jasmine, and desert rose; while the base settles with the warmth of white musk, patchouli, sandalwood, and labdanum.

It was a blind buy and, fortunately, a hit. It’s a fragrance of such singular finesse, I couldn’t expect less from the Boucheron house. It opens subtly with flowers between bergamot and roses, with a certain freshness, giving way later to warm aromas between woods and vanillas, enveloping without being cloying. It has a trail that stands out without being invasive; it’s elegant and has everything needed to be a beast of a perfume. On my skin, it has notable presence for about 6 hours and then fades; without reapplying, at the end of the day you can still perceive it softly. On wool clothes (in Argentina we’re almost in winter), it lasts from one day to the next like a floral vanilla. I don’t detect patchouli in this perfume, rather a spiced vanilla, which fascinates me. The bottle is fantastic, very comfortable to carry in a purse (just in case something was missing to make it one of my favorites).

  • We’ve smelled thousands of fragrances and, especially in recent years, we’ve had olfactory experiences that offered no novelty and many disappointments. Approaching Boucheron is synonymous with peace of mind. This fragrance embodies the house’s concept: finesse, elegance, and a guaranteed pleasant olfactory experience. The quality of the raw materials is evident from the distinction of an splendid bottle. Freshness of citrus, beautifully sweet flowers, and an aromatic base of precious woods on a velvet musk. The peace of mind of being appropriately adorned with a Boucheron jewel. Quality and beauty in all designs, a pleasure.

  • It doesn’t last on my skin at all. The opening is lovely, but as soon as it dries down, it disappears. It’s a very subtle fragrance, so I think it’s only noticeable up close and for a short time. What a pity.

  • It doesn’t last anything on my skin. The opening is very pleasant, but as soon as it dries down, you can’t smell it anymore. It’s a very subtle fragrance, which is why I think it’s only noticeable at close range and for a short time. It’s a pity.

I just bought it. Beforehand, I researched a lot because I adore citrus perfumes for summer. I looked for reviews here and watched videos on YouTube to see if it was a good idea, and honestly, I think I wasted my money. I didn’t like it at all. It smells very much like an older lady, quite floral. It’s quite similar to O d’azur by Lancôme, which I don’t use because that scent gives me nausea. I get quite dizzy. I know others love it, but it just doesn’t work on me. The musk and patchouli are very strong. Ideal for those who like powdery perfumes. Not for me.

I just bought it. I did my research beforehand because I love citrus for summer. I checked reviews here and watched YouTube videos to see if it was worth it, and in the end, I think I wasted my money. I didn’t like it at all. It smells very old-lady floral to me. It reminds me a lot of Lancôme’s L’Absolu de Rose (often confused with O d’Azur), which I don’t use because that scent gives me nausea and makes me dizzy. I know others love it, but it just doesn’t work for me. The musk and patchouli are very strong. It’s ideal for people who love powdery perfumes. Not for me.

  • I only tried it once before buying it and it seemed like a very elegant and unusual aroma. Since it wasn’t my first Boucheron and I knew I usually like their perfumes, I bought it, but honestly, I struggle a lot to wear it. First, the smell is very different on skin versus dry down: on dry down it smells drier and more unisex, but on skin it develops all its phases perfectly, though very quickly and with little longevity. On skin, the opening is potent, highlighting the labdanum and patchouli. After a few minutes, it moves to a creamy, floral, elegant, and feminine phase thanks to a beautiful sandalwood. Then the sandalwood fades and only the flowers remain. This final phase, where you notice the sum of almost all the notes, clings to the skin more and lasts at most a couple of hours, leaving an almost invisible trail that disappears. It’s true that if I like a perfume I don’t mind reapplying it, but with that explosive opening and such short longevity, it gives me a lot of trouble. As for the bottle, it’s a masterpiece. The detail of the textured glass is a plus, even if I haven’t fully fallen in love with it.

  • I tried it at the counter because I wanted to buy it for my wife (I’m a fan of Boucheron’s men’s perfumes). My impression was that it’s a rich, subtle, and elegant scent for a lady. But it’s scandalously soft and the trail is very scarce.

A bouquet of roses with a few drops of black currants and a tiny bit of musk. It smells like spring, it’s not heavy, has presence and longevity, especially on skin. If you like roses, this is for you. Pink roses… nothing red or white.

  • My go-to perfumer, Anne Flipo, sold it to me blind and hooked me instantly. It’s citrusy, floral, and seductive. At first, I thought it was a bust because it vanished in minutes, but after six months on my skin, it lasts 6 to 8 hours, with the first two hours hitting like a freight train. I own tons of perfumes, but this is one of the few my husband has praised. I love it so much I already have a refill. A hidden gem.

  • My favorite perfumer, Anne Flipo, sold it to me blind and I was instantly smitten. It’s citrusy, floral, and seductive. At first, it didn’t last long and disappointed me, but after six months, on my skin it lasts 6 to 8 hours and projects beastily for the first two. It’s one of the few my husband has praised. I love it so much I already have a refill. A hidden gem.
