It’s a flanker carrying the Boss DNA but crafted for colder months. It keeps that apple note but adds a much woodier, mature twist thanks to the oud. It lasts longer than the original Bottled—about 10 hours—and projects decently. If you already own Boss Intense EDP, this might feel redundant, but both are an incredible bargain.

It features a very versatile oud, though not a youthful one, blended with the Bottled line DNA. Ufff, what a delicious fruity oud! It’s perfect for autumn. Longevity and sillage are average, but it’s worth it for the price. This is my favorite of the entire Bottled family.

  3. From the first spray, you can tell it has the classic Bottled DNA. Three notes stand out: the typical juicy apple, cinnamon, and the oud that adds seriousness and warmth. It doesn’t smell animalic; rather, it’s a friendly, resinous, dark oud. Imagine a caramelized red apple with resins on top and a hint of smoke. I wasn’t smitten at first, but after more tests, it became a great discovery, even if its use is limited by weather and semi-formal contexts. I like it when brands take risks. I recommend it for ages 25 and up. Projection isn’t its best suit, but it shines in the first hour and lasts about 8 hours. Recommended!

  4. From the very first moment, it smells like the classic Bottled DNA. Three notes dominate: the typical juicy apple of the line, cinnamon, and the Oud that adds seriousness and warmth. It’s not that animal or gross Oud, but a kind, resinous, and dark one. It smells to me like caramelized red apple with resins on top, smoked for a few minutes. At first, I wasn’t smitten, but with patience, it became a great discovery, although my use is limited by the moderate climate and semi-formal context. It’s appreciated that designer houses take risks with this. I recommend it for ages 25 and up. Projection isn’t the best but stands out in the first hour, and longevity is notable, reaching 8 hours. Recommended.

  5. I bought it as a tester because I love fragrances with agarwood (oud), but it shares the same flaw as the flankers in this line: poor longevity and moderate projection. The opening is typical Bottled with an acidic apple, followed by a smoky, burnt rubber scent. It’s a synthetic oud, but understandable given the price; it’s not bad and feels high quality within the synthetic realm. For its price, it passes the test, even if the opening is fresh and the base is very dark with that burnt rubber smell, making it ideal for men in winter.

The Ugly Duckling of the Boss Bottled line: it’s a woody oriental with intense spices like clove, cinnamon, and saffron, plus the Oud, resulting in something very dark and challenging. I think only a zookeeper would be able to compliment it. My first impression was of an old, musty cabinet. I don’t recommend buying it blindly. I end on a positive note: the last in the line, the Parfum, seemed excellent and highly recommended. Cheers.

Just the note of oud on its own. It’s not very pleasant unless it’s high quality, and this one is moderate—not the best, but not overly synthetic either, similar to Versace Oud Noir, though the latter is better. The oud in this perfume is so intense it almost drowns out the other notes. When it dries down, it smells like someone sneezing without covering their mouth. Haha, sorry, but that’s what low-quality solo oud smells like. In other well-balanced perfumes, it’s delicious and elegant. On the plus side, it lasts forever; you can’t wash it off and it projects well. It’s the longest-lasting in the house because Boss makes great fragrances, but they usually last 4 hours or less with poor projection.

BOSS BOTTLED OUD: We have to acknowledge that Hugo Boss delivered a magnificent interpretation of oud in this proposal. In my opinion, it’s among the top two oud scents I’ve tried. It’s an aroma where a juicy, spiced, smoked apple opens the path for the fine wood of oud to be perceived as elegant and subtle, unlike any other. It’s refined and sophisticated; everything is beautiful. The opening captivates you, and the evolution and drydown conquer you. It retains the memory of the original Boss, its DNA, but manages to give personality to the oud, standing out as one of the best designer proposals, even competing with some niche brands. Projection is moderate but fair; it doesn’t disappoint. Longevity is good; I’ve worn it for 8 hours and it’s still on my skin. It’s a limited edition, so it will soon be out of the market. Scent: 10/10. Projection: 2 hours well. Longevity: 8 to 10 hours. It’s a MUST!

BOSS BOTTLED OUD: Hugo Boss has made a master move with this Oud. It’s one of my two favorite tested scents. A juicy, spiced, smoky apple opens the game to let the Oud woods shine with an elegance and subtlety I hadn’t seen before. It’s refined and sophisticated; the opening hooks you, and the evolution conquers you. It maintains the DNA of the original Boss but adds its own personality, competing even with niche perfumes. Projection is fair and not disappointing. Longevity is good; I’ve worn it for 8 hours and it’s still on my skin. It’s a limited edition, so hurry before it disappears. Scent: 10. Projection: 2 hours well. Longevity: 8-10 hours. It’s a MUST.

Boss Bottled Oud smells dirty; you can feel the oud wood decomposing, surrounded by spices like clove and cinnamon, fighting against a present but blurred apple. After 4 hours, it resembles Boss Bottled Classic, but the touch of oud wood always gives it a unique masculinity. It has similarities to Acqua di Parma Oud and comes in for $200 less.

I absolutely loved Boss Bottled Oud; it’s woody, fruity, and spicy. As MarcusRS says, it bears a strong resemblance to the mother fragrance. It has the typical fruity opening of the line with apple, saffron, and spices, followed by the oud, which in many fragrances seems to come in minimal quantities, barely noticeable. Its development is almost linear; after 4 or 5 hours, it becomes less spicy and the woody notes rise, but the fruitiness remains. Although classified as a woody oriental, I find it versatile, not too heavy, and it shines well in spring or autumn. It suits moderate climates perfectly, and night wear is even better. On my skin, it lasted 10 hours with medium-low projection. It’s one of the Boss versions I’ve liked the most and one of the most versatile oud fragrances. That fruity-woody mix reminded me a bit of the Opium Pour Homme style, though they aren’t identical.

I absolutely love Boss Bottled Oud; it’s woody, fruity, and spicy. As MarcusRS says, it shares a lot of similarity with its mother. It has the characteristic fruity opening of Bottled: apple, saffron, and spices, and what might be the oud, which in this fragrance, like in many others, comes in minimal quantity, barely perceptible. Its development is almost linear, and after 4 or 5 hours, it becomes less spicy and the woody nature rises, but the fruity part remains. Despite being a woody oriental, I feel it’s versatile; it’s not very heavy, so it looks great in spring and autumn. It suits temperate weather, and evening wear is even better. On my skin, it lasted about 10 hours with medium-low projection. It’s one of the Boss Bottled versions I’ve liked the most and one of the most versatile with oud. That combination reminded me a bit of Opium Pour Homme, though they aren’t identical.

I bought this 2015 limited edition looking for something for night wear. Upon application, it smells nervous and visceral, like apple and a saffron-dominant citrus are fighting, carrying a pleasant resinous wild berry scent. At 5 minutes, I remembered Dior’s Poison (the men’s version), and between 5 and 15 minutes, everything blends together without the oud standing out. The Bottled family is clearly noticeable; it seems they added oud to a known formula, and the note lacks the expected intensity. At 25 minutes, the Poison memory fades, and it smells similar to Fendi Fan, but with less alcohol and more berry-focused. I like this stage; it seems to last linearly for about 4 hours, then drops to 8, with an agonizing, semi-blurred dry-down on the skin, which is rare for an EDP. The fragrance has three phases: the first 4 hours are interesting, then it changes until the oud finally appears, dying out in a stuck finish at 8 or 9 hours. Overall, I’m not disgusted by it, but I would have wanted more of that berry scent and a starring oud to crown the collection. You’d surely be charged a fortune for this in Mexico or outside the US.
