The pink pepper opening is a beast, but it lasts over 8 hours. By hour 6, the cedar, vetiver, and tonka bean trio takes over; the iris is very subtle, unlike in Dior Homme. The trail is wide at first, then clings to the skin, though it still marks the shirt at night with those woods. It’s a youthful, elegant, and characterful scent. I see it as a mid-season fragrance: works for summer and winter, though I lean towards nightwear, perfect for weddings or elegant parties.
The pink pepper opening note is powerful. It has good longevity, more than 8 hours. After 5 or 6 hours, the woods—cedar, vetiver, and tonka bean—take over. The iris feels subdued, unlike in Dior Homme (for those who distrust this note in men’s perfumes). It has a good trail, moderate but wide for the first 2 or 3 hours, then it sticks to the skin but persists on the shirt with the woods. It’s a young, elegant, and bold perfume. I see it as a mid-season scent, suitable for summer and winter, perhaps leaning more towards night, ideal for a wedding or elegant party.
At first, the citrus and spices come out, then the woods appear with a shy iris. With 4 sprays, the trail is moderate on the skin, highlighting the spices. I wore it to a jazz recital and it still smelled stuck to my skin the next day. The dry down notes are fresh and jovial; the heart is elegant, sophisticated, and masculine with a sweet touch. I wear it in late afternoons or cold nights to relax at formal or semi-formal events. Ideal for autumn, winter, and early spring. Suitable for men 21+ who are confident and want to stand out. For younger guys or those seeking something fresh, I recommend Z di Zegna.
It starts with citrus and spices, followed by woods and a slightly shy iris. With four sprays, the trail is moderate on my skin, with the spices really standing out. The first time I wore it to a jazz recital, I could still smell it on my skin the next day. The opening is fresh and youthful; as the heart notes arrive, the scent becomes elegant, sophisticated, and masculine with a touch of sweetness. I prefer it for cold evenings or nights after my routine, for formal or semi-formal events. Perfect for late autumn, winter, and early spring. It suits men 21 and up who are confident and want to stand out. For younger guys or those looking for something fresher, I recommend Z di Zegna.
If you’re looking for a perfume, with Zegna you’re on the right track; they have excellent options. I love smelling them on men; it’s a plus.
Very rich, intense in citrus, and seductive, with good longevity. It’s an elegant perfume.
It doesn’t stick too closely to Armani Code, but it has that sweet, dark cut, as if it carried leather. The longevity is good; for me, it’s an 8/10.
It’s a night fragrance, serious, formal, and luxurious, giving you a unique distinction. Its longevity is beastly and the projection is average. I recommend using it at night without needing to apply much; it can be worn during the day but doesn’t work the same way. Anyway, it’s an excellent cologne to have in your collection.
Zegna Intenso is sweet, floral, talc-heavy, and elegant. It starts sweet and slightly spicy; the citrus is fresh but soon the sweetness takes over. Then it moves to a talc phase where the iris adds elegance, not like in Dior Homme, but in a more subtle way, aided by the woods. The dry down remains a sweet talc, though pleasant. Due to the sweetness, I think it shines more in cool climates, although the fresh opening might trick you into wearing it in the heat. Good longevity and regular projection.
Zegna Intenso is sweet, floral, talcum-powdery, and elegant. It opens very sweet with a spicy touch; the citrus adds freshness, but soon the sweetness takes over. Then it moves into that powdery phase where the iris brings elegance, but subtly, like in Dior Homme, supported by the woods. The dry down smells like sweet talcum powder, which is pleasant. Due to the sweetness, I think it shines more in cool climates, although the fresh opening might trick you into wearing it in the heat. Good longevity and regular projection.
A nice and pleasant fragrance, though it doesn’t smell like Zegna Forte; they are two different worlds to my nose. It’s ideal if you’re looking for something with classic and modern touches; despite being sweet, it feels clean and has excellent longevity. On my skin, the pink pepper, tonka bean, a delicious almost creamy cardamomo, and a subtle, very fine iris stand out. My only complaint is the classic one: big stores charge exorbitant prices, and this is no exception.
I love Zegna Intenso; people at my office keep saying ‘that smells so good.’ It’s masculine, cozy, a bit heavy but with great taste. It feels relaxed and casual, yet the iris and vetiver notes—one feminine, one masculine—create magic when they blend, adding elegance. It’s available at a good price. It resembles Armani Code Special Blend, but it’s less sweet and more versatile. It’s the masterpiece of Ermenegildo Zegna.
I absolutely love Zegna Intenso; people at my office keep telling me, ‘Wow, that smells amazing!’ It’s a masculine, cozy scent with a slightly powdery note but of very good taste. It feels relaxed and casual, yet suddenly the iris and vetiver—one feminine, one masculine—create magic, giving it an elegant and sophisticated vibe. It’s available at a great price. It reminds me of Armani Code Special Blend, but Zegna Intenso is less sweet and much more versatile. It’s the masterpiece by Ermenegildo Zegna.
Zegna Intenso is a woody, spicy fragrance that kicks off with a brutal citrus blast. The cardamomo reminds me of La Nuit de l’Homme, but here the car accelerates immediately, paying homage to Armani Code before diving into deep woods as night falls. It has a sober elegance, like a sport coat in supercar commercials. It’s not for going crazy, but it has magic; I bought the bottle for that and its longevity (8h on skin, 4h on clothes with whispers). Perfect for the office or dates, watch out for the trigger as it can be intrusive. If you like this kind of perfume, it’s much better than the current La Nuit version, which smells watery and is more restrained than Code. Give it a try, it’s worth it.
Very similar to Armani Code, it’s an explosion of cardamom, iris, and tonka bean. Ideal for night and semi-formal events. Good value, longevity, and sillage; an excellent option for fans like La Nuit de l’Homme or Ferragamo F Black. I give it a 7.5/10.
To decide, I tested Zegna Intense and Armani Code on the same day, one on each wrist. The AC felt fresher but had less longevity, while the ZI lasts longer, though it slowly feels a bit cloying. The opening of the Zegna seemed much better than that of Armani.
I wouldn’t dare compare this masterpiece to Armani Code, which I find simple and short-lived. On the other hand, Zegna Intense is elegant and sophisticated without limiting its use to young people. It’s rounded in every way: scent 10, delicious, projection, longevity, and versatility. Totally recommended.
Very good perfume with a pleasant, spicy-citrus scent, but it doesn’t drive me crazy. It’s generic; I have others of equal quality for almost three times less. It’s elegant, masculine, and seductive. It does its job, but I wouldn’t spend that much money on it (I’d go with a Versace or JPG). I have it because it was a birthday gift.
This Zegna Intense seems insignificant to me, with nothing that makes it special. It’s refined and classy, but little more. I don’t see any resemblance to the Code, which I think is better, more complex, and structured. Versatile for intermediate climates, with moderate and leaning-soft longevity and sillage.
It’s the perfume I’ve liked the most. I always receive good comments, and all the women love it. Highly recommended.
Elegant and versatile, perfect for smelling classy. It contrasts citrus and woods with an exotic touch. There are differences with the Intense and the Code line by Armani: the Zegna one has more harmony, delicacy, and refined seduction, while the Code is deeper and longer-lasting. It’s worth it if you find it cheap, suitable for nights out and dinners. On my skin, it’s not a monster in projection or longevity; it lasts just enough.
An outstanding fragrance for its time, even original. Nowadays, it smells like many other scents, with a distinguished touch, but I find it weak and feels like more than just good. I think that, being 98% of this house’s perfumes bad, this is their best work, reaching a ‘I love it’ barely, but very deserving. It deserves an 8/10.
A modern fragrance with a blend of the most ingenious ingredients from the last decade: iris, tonka, cardamom, citrus, vetiver, musk, and woods. It’s warm and spicy yet fresh and aromatic. Basically, it’s a bit of Dior Homme, a bit of La Nuit, a bit of Armani Code, and a bit of Terre d’Hermès; they just missed adding vanilla. It’s youthful, elegant, versatile, and pleasant. Why doesn’t it have more fame? Scent 8, longevity 7, sillage 7, versatility 9, and price 10.
A modern fragrance and one of the most ingenious compositions I’ve seen. It’s warm, spicy, and fresh all at once, bringing together ingredients from the last decade: iris, tonka, cardamom, citrus, vetiver, musk, and woods. It just lacked vanilla. It has a bit of Dior Homme, Armani Code, and Terre d’Hermès; the best of each. It’s youthful, elegant, and versatile. Why doesn’t it have more fame? Scent 8, longevity 7, sillage 7, versatility 9, price 10.
What a shame, it didn’t last even a minute on me, which is rare since I usually keep any perfume going. I’ll blame the soap, but if I have to reapply every two hours or carry a travel atomizer, I’ll do it because the scent is just irresistible. The blend of tonka bean, cardamom, pepper, and citrus is spectacular, with that Prada L’Homme iris that I love so much. For now, there’s no longevity, but I’ll try it under other conditions because I don’t want to give up on this gem.
Although I like the fragrance, it causes olfactory fatigue very quickly (don’t be fooled, it has good longevity and projection). This perfume has something I never thought a scent could have: indifference. Just today, about to leave and looking to smell different, I found it at the bottom of my closet next to the Pour Homme by Van Cleef & Arpels, both untouched for over a year. At my event, I received the uncompliment of ‘Weird you didn’t put on perfume… but the powder you put on smells good’, which confused me greatly because just as a neighbor who gave me a ride was on his way, he told me I smelled like woods and spices (he mentioned RL Safari, with which it has absolutely nothing in common). Generally throughout the day I did notice the declared notes (from the woody to the powdery), but as a fairly abrupt evolution between one and the other, having a spicy note in the opening that I remember made me decide to buy it, but which disappears after just 30 minutes of application (along with the wearer’s perception of having a fragrance). 6/10.
I bought this perfume blind and I think it’s among my top 3 purchases. It’s not very expensive, smells delicious, and projects well, but what drove me crazy was its longevity. For me, perfumes last a maximum of 5 hours on the skin, and this one lasts me more than 9 hours. It’s super versatile and doesn’t offend anyone. I recommend it 100%.
I wanted this fragrance for a long time and resisted buying it because they said it was very similar to Armani Code. It is undoubtedly a pleasant aroma, and I hope I don’t sound too strict or hurt sensitivities, but its performance is mediocre. It moves elegantly and refinedly, but is almost imperceptible; you need about 15 sprays for it to be smelled at a meter, and after a couple of hours, only the wearer can perceive it. Zegna Intenso is intense only in name, because its performance leaves much to be desired. If you find it for no more than $35 or $40, it’s worth it; otherwise, there are better, more modern, and cheaper options. Scent: 8.0 Longevity: 7.0 Projection: 4.0.
Starts with a sparkling, colorful, and effervescent citrus combination, neither lime nor tangerine but both, not too natural, somewhat artificial and plasticky, but not unpleasant. In the mid-phase, the protagonist appears: intense, exquisite, and very well-done cardamomo, adding sweetness that isn’t cloying and generating a respectable trail. In the trail, I distinguish iris, giving it body and density, very well executed. It reminds me of childhood sweets, SELZ SODA. In the final phase, approx. 3-4 hours on clothes, tonka bean and musk are appreciated, very well done, without losing the sweetness, leaving a soapy sensation, subtly powdery, easily unisex. The ‘BUT’ of always: it doesn’t stand out for originality; you find that exact scent in 100 similar fragrances, you know what I mean, another flanker of One Million, passing through Halloween Man and the endless 212 SEXY, etc. It is what it is, a nice elegant abstract bottle, like an office blind, but for jumping on the sales and marketing boat to generate currency with very similar, gummy, sugared, plasticky, sparkling, and stinging fragrances, it’s another of the perfumist BUBBLEGUM generation. K.
Very rich and sophisticated, excellent for the office or a semi-formal outing, great price.
First review for Ermenegildo Zegna, and this time it’s Intenso. To my nose, it opens with spices and citrus, an acceptable blend; I especially notice the cardamomo. The dry down is normal, not a bomb but respectable. By the heart and base at four hours, it starts smelling like skin. I only perceive woods and then a very diffused musk. It’s not a compliment bomb; it’s discreet. Unlike its Forte sister, but that’s another review. Works for formal and informal occasions, morning and evening, in spring and summer. Nice bottle, but confession: it falls halfway. It’s an average fragrance that stands out neither for nor against. In short, normal for casual and formal use in spring-summer; it will keep you scented for about four hours or less. Cheers.
What a great fragrance. I have a bottle from 2018, and with a single application in the morning, it lasts until evening, with bursts of scent when leaving work. Very good projection and longevity above average. Rich aroma for cold climates. Unfortunately discontinued in my country, Peru. 9/10.
I bought the new transparent bottle blind and it’s an exquisite, very seductive scent that gets compliments. But the performance is terrible; even if I shower with it, it lasts a short time and projects very little. I sold it immediately. It joins Starwalker and Vibrant Leather on the list of delicious fragrances that aren’t worth it due to poor performance; it’s annoying having to reapply constantly.
I grabbed it for the price and used it, but it doesn’t do anything for me. To me, it’s dispensable and lacks personality. The performance isn’t great either. I love everything Daniela Andrier has done for Prada, but this one isn’t it.
Good perfume for everyday wear, could be my signature, but I have to reapply it constantly.
