  I’m going all in on this Essence Collection line, just like when you’re attracted to someone but know you’re going to have trouble (in this case, the wallet). It’s a really good perfume—a masculine fragrance with floral essences where iris really shines, very natural and persistent. A proposal that smells intense and elegant at the same time; the floral notes blend well with the musk that gives it depth. The evolution is fairly linear, slightly powdery; the bergamot is truly delicious, and the lasting power and trail are consistent. I liked it; it’s delicate but noticeable.

A proposal that smells intense and elegant at the same time, with floral notes well-blended with the musk that gives it depth. I notice the evolution is fairly linear, slightly powdery; the bergamot is truly delicious, and the lasting power and trail are consistent. I liked it; it’s delicate but makes a good impression.

  I tried this at Palacio de Hierro in downtown Mexico City. Exquisite aroma; the iris and violet really dominate. I also detected some lavender that isn’t listed. Very pretty, but it has a problem: it’s not for men! It’s marketed as such, but it smells distinctly feminine, especially when dry. Great for girls, but unless they want to conquer another man, better not. Side note: Madras Cardamom from this line is exquisite and isn’t listed on Fragrantica yet. The best cardamom I’ve ever smelled.

  Very elegant, floral, and fresh. Not feminine at all; I feel comfortable and masculine wearing it. The iris is beautiful, and the violet reminds me of childhood candies, especially at first. Lasting power is good, and the trail is moderate—just enough to be noticed. One of my favorites; I never get tired of using it, whether for formal events or sports.

The iris is beautiful, and the violet reminds me of childhood candies with that same name, especially at first. Lasting power is very good, and the trail is moderate—just right to make an impression.   Floral, clean, and elegant. A gorgeous, pleasant take on iris. Totally unisex. I’m already thinking of making it my signature scent.
