I couldn’t agree more with what the previous reviewer said about Mojave. I picked it up on a Mancera discovery sample and, by elimination, ended up with the last one I couldn’t decide on. It gave me a vibe of clean scent, and it’s hard to find that smell without it seeming synthetic. The first time you wear it, it smells weird, probably due to the algae, but in seconds it changes into a sea breeze. It doesn’t smell like the beach or sunscreen, but rather like feeling the breeze from the coast. I imagine an island with a pretty lighthouse, a small town without tourists, full of rocks and cliffs, a very familiar place, as if my family had a house there and we’d all go every year. Walking, you feel that cold, salty breeze mixed with the mineral smell of the stones. More than cleanliness, it’s purity or spiritual cleanliness. It surprised me a lot because, although it doesn’t seem like much, I like it more and more and it makes me feel great. If you wear it every day, you won’t get tired of it. Unisex.
Mojave
If I had to describe this Mancera in one word, it would be: pretty. It’s a pretty perfume, acidic yet silky yellow. I didn’t immediately smell the grass or algae, but there’s definitely a sporty, marine, solvent vibe—casual but with a twist. The casualness, the grapefruit, is very obvious but beautiful; the twist is a marine note with a grey, cold air that transports you to a winter port. It’s a clear, polished impression. The salt arrives at the end, crunchy and cold. It brings back memories of 80s cleanliness, some from my childhood (it reminds me of a cousin), and if I dig deeper, the smell of peeling stickers to put on a trading card album, but elevated, pure, and refined. It shifts to something more feminine, but I won’t box it in: it’s a unisex solvent that suits men without issues; it has a very beautiful discretion, sometimes melancholic but energizing. It’s not a head-turner (though when someone first put it on me, I felt pure happiness), but it’s a very dignified companion.

If I had to define this Mancera in one word: pretty. It’s a pretty perfume, yellow, acidic, and silky. I didn’t sense the grass or algae touch obviously, but I did notice a sporty, marine, and very solvent vibe; informal yet with an interesting twist. The informality comes from the grapefruit, very evident but beautiful; the twist is that grey, cold marine touch that takes you to a winter port. It’s a crystal-clear and polished impression. The salt arrives late, crunchy and cold. It brings back memories of 80s cleaning products, something from my childhood (it reminds me of a cousin, I don’t know why), and if I dig deeper, it smells like new stickers peeling off and putting them in a sticker album, but elevated, pure, and worked. Yes, it veers towards something more feminine, but I wouldn’t box it in; it’s a solvent unisex that suits men without issues, with beautiful discretion, sometimes melancholic but energizing. It’s not one of those that turn heads when you pass by (although when someone put it on me, I felt pure happiness), but it’s a worthy companion.

I love Acqua di Sale, I adore it, and although Wave Musk doesn’t reach its altars, it’s worth trying if you like marine-salty perfumes. Here you don’t find as much a hint of salt or myrtle, notes that define the mythical creation by Profumun Roma. But the salt is there, certainly, though softer and tempered by the musky base. In short, having both isn’t redundant. Di Sale transports you to a calm sea, to a beach in full summer, and reminds you of your body’s scent after getting out of the water and receiving the sun; in Wave, however, the heat seems to have retreated, as if it were late afternoon, and the salt is no longer so sharp. Wave Musk is a pretty, pleasant, and unisex composition. Little known, perhaps, but with merits. I said it.

First of all, I’m surprised because I’ve seen comments saying it’s feminine, but to me it smells 100% masculine. I bought it because I’m obsessed with Bvlgari’s Aqva Marine and wanted another alternative, but it couldn’t be further from the truth. To me, it’s the typical ‘sport’ fragrance with an aftershave aroma; I don’t perceive any bergamot at all. I love all the listed notes, but on my skin the combination didn’t work: when applied, it smells like a generic sport fragrance for post-workout. I don’t know if it was a bad batch, but a huge disappointment.

Good fragrance. Longevity between 8 and 10 hours. Projection: the first 4 hours at over a meter, then (more than 12 hours after 3 showers) it still smells like a strong perfume. But… if you don’t like algae notes like Acqua di Sale, don’t even try it because it will feel heavy. As a good Mancera fragrance, with 2 or 3 sprays you’re more than covered. I feel it’s not very versatile, only for summer on intensely hot days. I haven’t used it at night. I also don’t see it as feminine; with that hit of algae, I don’t know if it might appeal to some women. I must also say that I like it much more than Cedrat Boise, which I do perceive as more feminine. Cheers.

Good fragrance, lasting 8 to 10 hours. Projection: over a meter for the first 4 hours, then it stays strong even after several showers. But… if you don’t like algae notes like Aqua di Sale, don’t even try it; it will feel heavy. With just 2 or 3 sprays of Mancera, you’re good to go. I find it not very versatile, only for hot summer days. I haven’t worn it at night, and with that algae punch, I’m not sure many women will like it. I prefer it to Cedrat Boise, which I perceive as more feminine. Cheers.

Wave Musk is one of those perfumes that accompanies you in silence. Like a comfortable subtle garment that makes you feel naked, light, and free. It’s clean, pure air around you. It seems like it’s not a perfume, but your own aroma. It’s very likely people won’t notice it, but it doesn’t matter; it willingly yields attention so that you, the one wearing it, are the one who captures the gaze. Wave Musk is the caress that is always there even when you can’t see it. The one that comforts and gives hope. Those that give peace because it will arrive even if it seems far away… Fresh, clean, seductive, cheerful, it’s the resounding and friendly push that elevates you. It’s taking a step and seeming to fly. The magic of the dream place, idyllic and perfect, where you know everything will go well. It’s like a small child with wise advice. Don’t let yourself be deceived by its thin arms, because they will embrace you with strength and take you to the place where you deserve to be and never dreamed of.

Wave Musk is that perfume that accompanies you in silence, like incredibly comfortable underwear that makes you feel naked, light, and free. It’s clean air around you; it almost doesn’t smell like perfume, but rather like your own natural scent. Probably no one notices, but that doesn’t matter; it lets you command attention. It’s the constant caress that comforts and gives hope, the peace of knowing it will arrive even if it seems far away. Fresh, clean, seductive, and cheerful, it’s the friendly push that makes you fly. The magic of that perfect place where everything goes right. Like a wise child telling you: don’t be fooled by its thinness, it will hug you tightly and take you where you deserve to be.

Out of all the Mancera scents I smelled in the store, this was the one I liked the most. It smells like freshly cut grass; I don’t notice the salt or the musk anywhere, just green grass. It smells very good for spring and summer.

In Wave Musk by Mancera, we find a citrus, aquatic fragrance with interesting musk tints (those who can distinguish and isolate this note will know its seduction). I see it as very summery for going to the beach; in fact, it’s quite salty. That said, despite not achieving such high balance or quality as Creed’s VIW, it has brutal performance compared to the average of summer perfumes. Pleasant, but not for buying. Interesting, but a bit unbalanced.
