  • At first, it reminded me of Agatha Ruiz’s colorful drops I used as a teenager, but then the herbal and citrus notes started grating on me; I even thought of a dishwasher detergent. Of the bear scents, this is the one I liked the least. I’ll probably keep my sample aside for a while to see if we can make up. Rating it 4.5 out of 10.

I tested it over the weekend with lots of curiosity about how the ‘sand’ note would play out. As many say, it’s a rich scent but nothing extraordinary. The opening explodes with citrus that lasts a few minutes, then the floral and sand notes emerge, which are quite unique. The only downside is the smell can resemble a summer department store air freshener. Though the fragrance is durable—averaging 8 to 10 hours on skin and over 12 on clothes—it’s definitely a day-to-day scent for hot weather.

  • BlendParfum

Toy 2 Pearl feels like a great everyday fragrance, well-suited for unisex wear. The oregano note adds a spicy kick and an interesting accent. It reminds me a bit of CK One, but a modern take, like its next-level evolution in the 21st century. The entire Toy line by Moschino is really fascinating.

With so many positive reviews, I decided to buy it blind. Ended up gifting it to my mom. I thought I’d get the same pleasant surprise I had with Toy Boy thanks to that unexpected aroma, but it wasn’t the case. I own plenty of citrus and herbal scents, but this doesn’t bring anything new. I agree with many about its fresh citrus opening, but in my opinion, the sweet fruity note ruins it, undermining what should be a sparkling citrus fragrance—it just isn’t. Despite being citrusy, I wouldn’t recommend wearing it on a hot day because the lemon-caramel scent becomes overwhelming. I see it as a totally unisex fragrance suitable from kids to adults. The trail and longevity are acceptable. Beautiful bottle, but the scent lacks innovation.

  • A really rich scent for summer. Lasts great on skin—I got 12 hours before showering. The trail and projection are low, which is typical for a summer fragrance. But let me tell you, it’s exactly the same as a perfume I bought at Aeropostale in the US and ended up wearing this summer in Argentina (can’t remember the name). Identical! The only difference is that the Aeropostale version was $19 for 100ml, while this one costs over $70. Cheers.

  • If you’re from Mexico, this scent will automatically take you to InnovaSport stores; it’s the same but less intense (just the scent makes me want to leave those stores). There’s a lot of oregano, and the citrus bloom phase lasts very briefly, but for my taste, that’s the best moment (it lasted 10 minutes). Ideal for the office, nothing relevant for my taste, very close to the skin. Beautiful packaging. Personally, I wouldn’t buy it.

  • Elena_rbgm

I love it! Thanks to a sample, I just bought it. After reading reviews, I have to say it doesn’t remind me of Light Blue at all, but rather a summer version of Escada that lasted until it was unfortunately discontinued: Escada Into The Blue.

  • I tried it today at the perfumery and was struck by how similar it is to Light Blue, which I own and love. Light Blue doesn’t last as long on my skin, at least compared to the Moschino tester. It’s not the same, but very similar—just a bit sweeter and more intense. I’m definitely buying it next time. It’s my favorite Moschino so far.

  • To me, this fragrance is a bit confusing. The opening is attractive, well-citrusy, and clean, kind of unisex… but after 20 minutes, in the dry-down, it becomes very dry and mossy. In my opinion, the cypress and vetiver stand out too much, leaving a woody and earthy scent. If it had a more amber base, I’d like it more. I don’t think it’s worth buying blindly.

Guys, I tried this and wow, how delicious! 😍😍🥰🥰 It’s a pity I felt more feminine, but that citrus blend with freesia and jasmine, plus the beach and musk notes, is pure bliss. Ladies, buy it!

  • Persefonex

The initial burst is sorbet-like, then super citrusy. Lemon in the best Cheap & Chic Love Love style. Yes, it smells like lemon cleaner. Definitely very fresh. I like it more than Light Blue because it’s a purer lemon. I’d mix it with Soleil du feu by Tom Ford, and it would be perfect. The musk dry-down gives it a different touch than simple lemon, making it a pleasant fragrance.

  • Renzillodeville

I got lucky buying it at an excellent price, and for what I paid, I found it smells great. I like it more than the black Toy Boy; it’s quite citrusy, and the dry-down has an interesting scent. It’s unisex, so if you don’t like the bottle color, beware.

  • Heavily criticized in my opinion… but in my short experience, almost all unisex scents get that. The scent is pleasant, fresh, clean, and youthful. I’d wear it to the beach or outdoors in the heat. Many say it smells like floor cleaner, but I feel it smells like citrus room spray or orange soap. It’s worth more for the gorgeous packaging, but as a fragrance, it’s not surprising or essential. It would be a good gift for a pre-teen.

  • I’m not a fan of citrus, and the opening is shockingly acidic, but the dry-down is another world; I love it. The trail is just a bit weak though. It’s unisex in the opening, but the dry-down is musky and slightly feminine, though I still consider it unisex.

  • Ricardo-powa

It’s citrusy, yet floral and musky at the same time. Pretty original, just like everything Moschino usually does. It hits the floral notes right: freesia and jasmine, scents they also use in men’s perfumes. The musk gives it that summery vibe 🤙

  • Martínvenezuela

If you’re a guy between 20 and 35, buy this no matter what you’re wearing. It smells like 2024, like a good person. Five stars. I bought two 100ml bottles—imagine the power.

  • Very tasty, nothing new, but when it tastes good, it tastes good and a lot. Unisex, fresh, citrusy, and potent for the first few hours. Easily 7 hours on skin, on clothes until the next day. I haven’t heard of a Light Blue that smells like this for sure; I’ll buy it; it’s delicious. Some government official.

  • I smell it like a palette of lemon with a pinch of oregano; it sounds weird but it works. I was expecting another Light Blue, but this feels more modern in the same line. It’s so unisex that it works for me (I consider myself a very feminine woman who wears pink medical scrubs) and also for my teenage son. Special for a sunny day; it’s a good quality, youthful citrus. Another adorable bear.

  • EnriqueSeguraJ

Citrus with a bit of sorbet and a touch of spice or herbs. Nothing unpleasant, but also not an incredible scent. I wouldn’t buy it for a woman or a man. It’s not ugly, it’s different, but there’s nothing to praise.

  • arielgraells

In my entire life, I’ve only fallen in love with two scents at first sniff: Black XS when I was a kid, and this Toy 2 Pearl now that I’m an adult. My girlfriend and I can’t stand strong florals; they give us headaches. This has nothing to do with that, and we loved it from the start. It opens with a lemon sorbet that lasts the whole time; you can smell the oregano, and then the freesias gently embrace the musk. It’s crisp from start to finish. The feeling is one of cleanliness, a classy clean, even though some might think it smells like floor cleaner; to those people, I say: I wish a floor cleaner smelled like this. Although it would be crazy to compare them, I own Terre d’Hermes EDP and feel that this Toy 2 Pearl would be a younger, more fun and sparkly sibling, in contrast to the professional, suit-wearing brother. Citrus wrapped up differently. It also reminds me of Versace Blue Jeans, not because of the composition but the approach: a rich fragrance, not too complicated, that makes you feel clean and fresh, plus it smells amazing. That’s its function. You’ll get compliments, but most importantly, you have to like it yourself; it’s a stamp of your personality. Try it on your skin; many perfumeries sell decants before you buy the bottle. In my case and my girlfriend’s, we couldn’t stop smelling each other’s wrists. With friends, at the beach, or at the office, since it’s not heavy, it’s versatile. I don’t see it working well in the cold, but if it’s the only one you have, it works too. Here in Chaco, from December to February, it’s terrible hot and humid weather; in these climates, it can really play the starring role every day at any time; it would never feel out of place.

  • Santiago T

It’s a unique fragrance: fresh but with a lot of personality, super distinctive. Behind that super fresh lemon, there’s a world of thyme, something a bit quirky and floral. It’s crazy. I’m not sure for what situation, but I see it as a daytime scent.

  • Smells amazing, one of my favorite citrus scents. At first, it’s a slightly sweet lemon that some might mistake for cleaner, but it fades quickly. The oregano note (which sounds weird but smells fantastic) really comes through. It’s very linear: that strong opening lemon disappears, but that’s not a bad thing. It’s a staple: if you don’t know what to wear, grab this and you won’t regret it.

  • I can’t stop smelling myself! It’s super summery, reminding me of fresh herbs with a pleasant sweet lemon. I’ve tested it so many times and kept sniffing my wrists. Finally, I bought it and spent the whole day enjoying that green, clean scent. After a few hours, the lemon fades and leaves a very green cedar behind. I was looking for something similar but more potent because I was afraid to invest in a soft scent without sillage, but I couldn’t find anything THIS captivating. Although it has almost no sillage, it’s a confidence booster that fills you with energy. Right on the skin, it lasts until the next day and even survives a shower.

  • I tried it in the store on a damp, cold autumn day and noticed a super refreshing grapefruit scent. I kept smelling my hand and loved it. It lasted exactly 7 hours, and I’d love to have it in my collection.

  • Wlad Molina

A true gem in the sea of citrus. It opens bright and lively without being aggressive, quickly giving way to a heart of herbs and resins with a soft floral base. Dried oregano adds structure and personality, setting it apart from typical aquatic scents like Light Blue. It’s a clean, resinous freshness—elegant and versatile—perfect for vacations or everyday wear, avoiding the cliché of generic fresh men’s fragrances or boring floral women’s ones. Lasts just enough for an EDT: light and never overpowering. Rating: 8.5/10. It turns lemon and oregano into a unique twist within the aquatic genre.

  • Candrezfernandez

Super unisex perfume, rich and easy to wear; the best part is compliments never take long to come in.

  • Chocolate con licor

It’s not an exotic perfume as the reviews suggest, nor is it a common one. It smells like lemon ice cream and then you feel a note of oregano, nothing more. At first, it reminded me of the room spray in my bathroom, which already happened with two other Moschino perfumes; apparently, that’s their goal, haha. Afterward, the oregano did add more personality. The note is common: lemon, with an oregano base, but this doesn’t stand out on its own, only enhancing the sweet-and-sour lemon ice cream aroma. Meh. I think the price is a bit excessive and it never seems to me like anything more than lemon ice cream.

  • It’s good because it has that Light Blue for Women citrus DNA, but BUT! In the dry-down of the fragrance, I find a cilantro/parsley freshly cut scent on my skin that I don’t like; I don’t know if it’s the oregano it claims to have among its notes, but that aroma really displeases me; by the time it dries down, it becomes a quite pleasant scent.

  • Feaganciasqueenamoran

A citrus perfume with more to say. It’s rich and fresh but with just the right dose of intensity. It’s suitable for any age and gender. Right on the skin, it lasts from day to night, same on clothes. On skin, it’s excellent for two hours and then fades, lasting only 5 or 6 more minutes feeling present; it’s very good. It’s so versatile that a teenager could wear it at 15, a woman at 70 for a snack with friends, or a man for the gym. A wildcard.

  • Batch 02/2024. The perfume smells quite rich and fresh; right when you first apply it, it smells like lemon snow (not lemon ice cream), completely unisex. I recommend wearing it on hot days because that’s when it really shines. I also notice a note of oregano that, on my skin, lasts the entire life of the fragrance and doesn’t quite agree with me; after about half an hour, it turns into a freshly cut grass scent. It smells good, but I can’t stop imagining that I smell like food because of the oregano. Let me say this perfume is unisex but leans more towards the feminine side. It’s not an unpleasant smell, and frankly, I feel like no one will be bothered by this fragrance if you wear it. It’s a safe buy, but I’d say you should test it on your skin first to see how the fragrance develops. I feel like most perfumes last a long time on me; I put this on at 12 PM and I can still smell it at 8 PM, and on clothes, it lasts for days. Scent: 10/10, Sillage: 8/10, Longevity: 10/10.

  • There’s one truth in perfumery: scents and emotions are strongly connected. Some scents bring me well-being, while others, like this one, evoke memories that now cause me anguish. Memories of a relationship that didn’t work out, or perhaps I let myself be carried away, thinking it could happen. Since this is a different kind of review, I must admit that Toy Pearl is very rich and I liked it a lot right from the moment I tried it, shortly after it was released in my country. Literally, it’s a frozen lemon foam accompanied by oregano, which is present from start to finish. It’s refreshing, ideal for hot days, with excellent longevity and projection. Initially, it was categorized as feminine, but it’s perfectly unisex (I see Fragrantica has updated that). Maybe the oregano note means some won’t recommend buying it blindly; I understand it’s not to everyone’s taste. I had the chance to buy it for the co-star of this story, taking advantage of its good price and almost no use, since I always had it in mind as a future acquisition. Circumstances caused this perfume, though delicious, to trigger feelings of sadness in me. I love it but can’t smell it; I have it but can’t use it. It’s kept in a box with others I bought with it, waiting to sell, gift, or perhaps even return it for a resale. This review is about that: scents and emotions, about how a perfume can either cheer you up or, conversely, sadden you. Finally, I’d like to ask the users of this site if anyone else has experienced something similar with a perfume, or am I the only crazy (or stupid, I don’t know) person this happens to? Greetings to the community.

  • One of my favorite citrus perfumes, with excellent longevity. It’s not a common lemon scent like the blues from various designers; it’s more complex in its DNA. I recommend it 100%.

  • Per-fu-ma-zo! It’s dominated by citrus, almost like lemon ice cream. What makes it unique is the oregano note, which adds a very characteristic herbal and spicy nuance. It’s similar to Light Blue for Women but more herbal, whereas the women’s version is more floral. That slight difference makes it lean masculine, though it would be excellent on a woman too. It’s the ‘masculine’ version of Light Blue for Women… How? Yes, because the original men’s version follows a different line. In summary: Scent: 9.5/10, Longevity: 6/10, Sillage: 8/10, Projection: 8/10, Versatility: 7.5/10. Final Score: 8/10.

  • What a delight, so fresh. It’s like the garden from my childhood with lemons and grapefruit, and the neighbor’s backyard with laurel and oregano bushes. ‘Beautiful’ is an understatement; it’s unique and totally unisex.

  • marianaaimeeev

Super fresh and smells incredible. The bottle is super quirky and fun. It gives me a feeling of happiness and joy, like lemon snow with a hint of honey. I loved it and want it in my collection. It has a slight resemblance to Light Blue, but they are totally different. Great perfume.
