  • In my humble opinion, it’s a soft, personality-free, and overpriced perfume for what it offers: a fresh fragrance with a rose and pink pepper scent that’s already very overdone. Does it have quality? Yes. Is it wearable? Yes. Will you stand out with it? No. Nagel seems determined to create fresh and cheap scents. She started well, but now it seems she doesn’t want to take risks, preferring safe and mass-appealing options. It’s better to go for a cheap copy of Sisley’s Izia, which has much higher quality and performance.

  • I tested it on blotter and on skin; the difference was noticeable. On the blotter, the pink pepper opening was very prominent and realistic, settling into golden floral notes reminiscent of Amarige, probably due to the neroli and orange blossom from the original. On skin, however, the powdery floral tones opened up and reminded me more of the first Twilly. Without sandalwood and with less orange blossom, it seems like a Twilly where the sweetness and roundness were removed. It feels more formal and serious than the first, although the classic isn’t silly or exclusive to teenagers; to me, it feels more relaxed. Overall, I liked it. I thought I was expecting more complexity, but I’ll try it again. With the hype it generated, I don’t know if we’re smelling the perfume or our own anxieties. I’m dying to try them both together.

  • Although tastes are subjective, I disagree that Twilly Eau Poivrée lacks personality. It’s a voluptuous and opulent fragrance. While it might not appeal to the conventional masses, recalling classic floral and powdery scents from the 80s, its projection is what we expect from a quality product—something hard to find nowadays with new regulations. It’s very similar to Narciso Rodriguez Poudre but more intense; it evokes old, hard-to-identify aromas. It’s practically a pepper absolute fused with patchouli that adds sweetness and mutes the rose, which appears powdery. On my skin, it lasted over 8 hours. Some thought it smelled like an old lady’s perfume, but if you’re a vintage lover, this Hermès will fascinate you. Score 10 to Christine Nagel for making a difference.

  • I tried it yesterday and it seemed like a scent without personality. Just pure pepper. Tried it on skin and the rejection was even worse.

  • I can’t find any of the regular Twilly. I expected something sweeter, typical of those pink-patchouli combos, but this leans dark and brooding, though not in a scary way. It has a certain charm and originality despite a very mainstream pyramid. The pepper isn’t as dominant as others say; it shows up sometimes and smells high-quality, but once it dries down, everything blends together. I’m not a fan of this type of scent, but I have to say it’s a good perfume with great longevity and a lovely opening.

  • Not all skins are the same: pH, hydration, temperature, and other factors determine if you’ll like it. I already own a bottle of Twilly and consider it excellent, so I tried this version expecting something retro and powdery (as the sales associate said), perhaps more serene and less citrusy, maybe warmer due to the bottle’s colors. Well, no; on my skin, it’s an intense, voluptuous elixir with lots of character, almost oriental, nocturnal, spicy with an excess of pepper, mysterious, and enigmatic. It surprised me greatly olfactorily; its longevity and sillage surpass the previous one. It’s a fragrance worth retesting to see if the pepper fixation invades as much again. To not go unnoticed with this Twilly.

  • Not all skins are the same: pH, hydration, surface temperature, and other factors influence whether you’ll like it or not. Already having a bottle of Twilly and considering it excellent, I decided to try this new version expecting something retro and powdery, as the seller described, and perhaps something more serene and less citrusy, or a warmer version due to the bottle colors. Well, no. On my skin, it leaves an intense, voluptuous elixir with a lot of character, almost oriental and nocturnal, spicy with an excess of pepper, something mysterious and enigmatic. It definitely surprised me at an olfactory level; both its longevity and sillage surpass the previous one. It’s a fragrance to try again and verify if it will continue to invade with so much pepper fixation on the skin. To not go unnoticed with this Twilly!

  • I have a department store sample. At first it was strong, but once it settled on my skin, it became sophisticated, different, and rich. I loved it. I’d buy the 50ml bottle for my collection. It has a sweet touch I can’t pinpoint; they only list three notes, but on my skin it smells sweet. I like it so much!

  • Meleagrina80

I disagree with those who say it’s a copy. It has huge originality with so few notes. I prefer the first version, but this doesn’t fall behind in quality or longevity. At first, the pink pepper is very noticeable; I know it’s quality because I have it in my kitchen, and while I don’t like it in food, it’s great for smelling, so I keep it just to sniff occasionally. Then it evolves and blends with the rest, toning down the pepper slightly while keeping just the right amount of sweetness and distinction. It’s mysterious, like when scents transport us to unrelated objects. In my case, a few hours after that spicy opening, it reminds me of the smell of colored pencils from my childhood. Google says the core is wax, oil, pigments, and binders… well, I sense something similar, but not synthetic or chemical, rather that familiar aroma mixed with wood, stronger when you sharpen them. God, the nose and memory are crazy; it inevitably transports me back to those years every time I wear it. I consider it original; I haven’t felt something move or cheer me up like this in a long time. With few exceptions, new releases lack originality, though I have many samples and purchases of all kinds. I recommend it if you like spices and unconventional scents. Always on skin, because each one is a world.

  • Trying this perfume is a whole experience and worth it. You can tell it’s a designer scent. It’s different and very special. After using so many overdone or cheap perfumes, putting this on made me feel ignorant because I couldn’t identify the listed notes, despite owning perfumes that have them, and this doesn’t resemble any of them. Those who say it’s soft and without personality are confused; this is quite strong, to the point that it doesn’t seem like a daytime perfume, but I think I don’t have the personality to wear it. It seems extravagant and definitely not for everyone, so don’t buy it blindly. In fact, I wouldn’t wear it myself, but I’m glad I tried it for the olfactory experience. Great perfume. I edited the longevity part: I put moderate, but I tried it again and realized it lasts all day, even after showering. It’s super strong and has great sillage. I didn’t test it on clothes for fear of it staining and not coming out. It was created to be the personal fragrance of someone who knows how to wear it, and that person isn’t just anyone. If it suits you and you like it, buy it.

  • Trying this is worth every penny. You can tell it’s designer quality, something truly special. After years of wearing generic scents, putting this on made me feel silly for not recognizing the notes; it’s unique. Anyone who says it’s soft and personality-free is mistaken; this is powerful, not for daytime, maybe too extravagant for me, so don’t buy it blindly. I wouldn’t wear it myself, but I’m glad I tried it for the olfactory experience. Great perfume. Edited the longevity: I said moderate, but it lasts all day, even after showering. It’s super strong with amazing sillage. I didn’t test it on clothes for fear it might stain. It’s made for someone who knows how to carry it, not for everyone. If it suits you, buy it.

  • I disagree with those who say it’s a copy. I feel it has great originality with so few notes, which is amazing. I like the first version more, but this doesn’t fall behind in quality, originality, and longevity. The opening feels like a lot of pink pepper; I know it’s high quality because I have pink pepper in my kitchen at home, which I don’t like in food but do enjoy for olfactory purposes in perfumes. That’s why I only keep it to smell from time to time. That pepper evolves and blends with the rest, toning down the rose quite a bit while keeping it in small doses to give just the right sweetness and distinction. It’s mysterious how aromas transport us to disconnected objects. In my case, a few hours after the spicy opening, it reminds me of the smell of colored pencils from my childhood. A Google search says the core is made of wax or oil with pigments and additives… well, something like that, but not synthetic or chemical, but the familiar scent that blends with wood, which feels stronger when we sharpened them. God, the nose and memory are crazy; inevitably, it transports me back to those years. I consider it original; I haven’t smelled anything recently that moved or cheered me up like this, with a few exceptions. I recommend it if you like spices and unconventional aromas. Always on skin, since each one is a world.

  • A strong scent that oscillates between the typical ‘old lady who uses half a bottle’ smell and an incense vibe. Despite this, deep down it has something mystical that manages to captivate me. I got a sample that I only use at home, but at times it’s unbearable: too sweet, too strong, and not very elegant.

  • I tried this delight today and fell in love… since it was my first time, I didn’t know how to measure the drops and I overdid it. I live in a very hot city and it was 1pm. At first, I realized I went overboard, but as time passed, around 5pm, and as it dried down, what a delicious thing. From my perspective, it’s strong, but if you know how to dose it, it works great for daytime. By 9pm, my boyfriend commented on how good it smelled, so don’t worry about longevity.

  • A familiar scent, like a warm hug of roses, accented with a trail and huge longevity. At first, it reminded me of older ladies wearing too much perfume, but later I sensed an elegant, bold rose smell, very clean with a strong feminine presence. I have a sample that I don’t want to run out of. I recommend it; I already ordered one and can’t wait.

  • I’m surprised it’s a flanker of Twilly because they don’t smell anything alike. TEP lives up to its name: it opens with a pink pepper explosion that, as it dries down, turns into a clean rose and patchouli scent, fairly linear with good projection for about 6 hours. I prefer pink-patchouli scents with more edge. I’d say it’s feminine, ideal for daily wear in any season (maybe not hot summers). Pleasant: 6/10, Interesting: 5/10, Versatile: 7/10, Original: 5/10.

  • Brutal opening, smells like hundreds of colored pencils. The blend of pink pepper with an undisclosed cedar lasts the entire life of the perfume, and for a few minutes I get sweet red fruits. The rose pairs with patchouli, creating an earthy, camphoraceous, and musky atmosphere, very well executed. It lasts me over 10 hours, and the projection is insanely high for the first two hours.

  • An incredible opening that seems like hundreds of colored pencils. The fusion of pink pepper with other molecules is very good, including the unlisted cedar that lasts the entire life of the perfume, and I also sense something similar to sweet red berries that the pepper gives it. The rose presents itself very united with patchouli, giving it a more earthy, camphorated, and musky environment; the pepper also contributes something similar in terms of camphor, a good execution of the accord. It lasts more than 10 hours and its projection is very high for the first two hours.

  • Today I wore Angel ou Demon the classic and it reminded me of something and if I don’t know how they resemble each other in the dry down of the Givenchy one becoming sweeter. But with Ilarès I never would have thought it was so peppery; it seems like a vintage-style cologne or soap but stylish. It could be unisex it’s potent and lasts on clothes for several days. I perceive ginger in it and it eventually gets tiring but once in a while it’s good. It has excellent performance; a 30 ml bottle lasts me a while.

  • Ojos Claros

A wonderful perfume. It transports me back to when as a little girl I already felt curious about the world of perfumes. It’s very likely someone in my family wore this fragrance; it reminds me of her…

  • Silvanacopp

It has a beautiful and noticeable patchouli in the opening accompanied by something like sweet oriental woods and flowers like powdery roses and subtle neroli. It’s like a soft barite incense half-sweet. For a moment I imagined a 60s hippie. To my taste it could be unisex. In the dry down all those notes settle into a powdery style. I liked it a lot and it’s going on my wishlist. Bravo to the perfumer.

  • I received the decant with great excitement because I’m fascinated by the bottle design and I consider the notes unique. I fell in love with the perfect combination of that spicy fresh and wet sensation of pink pepper with ripe roses and a peculiar patchouli. I agree with other reviews: here I perceive ginger vanilla and woods; I’m almost sure it’s cedar and sandal. Of the three Twillys this is my favorite; I consider it timeless extremely pleasant unisex with very acceptable longevity and projection. If you like pink pepper ginger and roses it’s a safe buy.

  • karugervazoni

The opening doesn’t fully convince me (I prefer Twilly EDP), but I feel that in the dry down it’s very similar to Twilly, just more intense. That’s why I preferred to buy the Eau Poivrée. It’s a sophisticated and elegant perfume, ideal for autumn and spring. It has good sillage and longevity. I would describe it as extremely spicy with a floral touch, like talcum powder with a clean scent.

  • Perla Vencis

This perfume moves away from its ‘sibling’ Twilly (2017) to shine with its own light. The scent is linear: a rose wrapped in pink pepper and in the dry down it blends with patchouli. Although they don’t declare ginger and vanilla you do catch glimpses of them. What remains on the skin is a spiced woody rose. Longevity on skin is good but less than its predecessor; the trail is definitely noticeable. Unlike the first one which I perceive as more feminine this could be unisex. It’s a perfume that dresses you in elegance. I’ve really liked it for being so different from all the feminine perfumery out there.

  • karugervazoni

The opening doesn’t quite convince me (I prefer the Twilly EDP) but I feel the dry down is very similar to Twilly just more intense. That’s why I preferred buying Eau Poivrée. It’s a sophisticated and elegant perfume. Ideal for autumn and spring. It has a great trail and longevity. I’d describe it as extremely spicy with a floral touch like talc that smells clean.

  • Lidiaandrea

In two words: I LOVE IT. Its trail is marvelous. I love the Hermès brand; my favorite is Eau de Merveilles.

  • Something in the opening reminds me of Narciso by NR (or its Poudre version). It’s super unisex and fresh. This perfume surprised me because here the patchouli note doesn’t bother me; since it’s not combined with caramel vanilla and other gourmand sweet notes it has a different brightness that I like more. It lasts quite a while and I like it for suffocating hot days because it’s not heavy and has an effervescent quality that fascinates me. Great for an interview or going out it’s an all-rounder.

  • CamiAckerman

I love the first Twilly but Eau Poivrée is a total hit and I’d kill to own it. I have a decant and have tested it on several occasions until I fell in love. It’s not as spicy as the classic: pink pepper roses and patchouli. It opens sparkling and stays sweet earthy and powdery. It reminds me of Narciso Rodriguez’s scents; it has that classic timeless vibe but feels less muted. It has excellent longevity and seems even more versatile than the original—feminine with presence and very romantic.

  • Although ginger isn’t listed on the card after that opening dominated by pink pepper it smells a lot like the 2017 EDP original. That resemblance holds through the dry down which is softer with a woodier base and a tiny touch of talc. I wish the pepper lasted longer on my skin but I still love this version and it stays with me. I set the original aside because I couldn’t handle so much ginger mixed with the tuberose sweetness.

  • MissPennyLane

It declares only three notes, but what three notes. I would add an undeclared one, perhaps iris. It’s a bombshell perfume, whether you love it or hate it, there are no middle grounds in this Twilly flanker. I think it’s the best of the three I’ve tried (the original and the ginger) because it evokes great perfumes of the past without being outdated. It’s refined, elegant, smells like expensive makeup, and it’s a Beast Mode. The pink pepper at the start might bother a bit, but it doesn’t last long; when it settles, it starts its climb to good taste and knowing how to make perfume. The roses (and I’d say iris too) mix with the patchouli for hours in a perfect symphony of luxury. On clothes, the scent won’t wash out. Twilly is for going empowered. Incredible, spectacular.

  • FloorPerfumeadicta

Although I love the first Twilly, Eau Poivrée feels spicier to me, surely due to the pink pepper; I even feel ginger and lemon at the start, although they aren’t listed. Then it becomes very spicy, nothing like the classic. I don’t smell the rose at all. It lasts 6 to 8 hours. I recommend it for spring-summer, but if you don’t like pepper, test it on your skin before buying. It’s not a scent for everyone. I like it, but I stay with the classic Twilly a thousand times because there the pepper isn’t noticed as much.

  • Fragantica81x

This fragrance is sensual, ideal for a bride or elegant dinners. It’s the first Twilly that surpasses the previous one. On my skin, it lasts between 8 and 12 hours, although it depends a lot on everyone’s skin; mine makes even the weakest last. I recommend buying it on sale before the price goes up, but watch out, it’s not made for every nose.

  • OLD ROSE POWDERS WITH A MODERN AIR: Twilly d’Hermès Eau Poivrée stands apart from the rest of its family. Here there is a classic rose to the bone that comes alive with a sparkling touch of pink pepper over an earthy background of patchouli. Launched in 2022 by Christine Nagel, it combines vintage elegance with a modern twist that adds freshness. The patchouli anchors everything, giving it persistence. Its projection and longevity are top-notch. If you like powdery roses with character, it’s a must-buy. I’m surprised they don’t talk about it more; it’s in no man’s land: neither a coveted classic nor following commercial trends, nor a radical niche. That balance between traditional and contemporary is its charm and its perfection for me. 🌹🌹🌹🌹

  • I have to confess that it smells like something with character, that you can’t ignore. It’s a refined fragrance where the pink pepper dominates at first, but the real magic lies in how it settles: an exquisite powdery rose that makes you elegant instantly.

  • CamilaSol

If you’re looking for PERSONALITY, this is the right fragrance. I’ve loved it since day one and it’s unforgettable and lasts a long time. As my body heats up, the perfume settles. More than one man has asked me what I’m wearing, which doesn’t always happen. I understand why men go crazy for it because it’s seductive, it has body, it reflects a successful mature woman. IT SMELLS LIKE SUCCESS. Once I put it on, I feel unstoppable. I love it so much and after this, it’s hard to find another at its height. I highly recommend it.

  • arhyana2003

It’s not intrusive and doesn’t have much sillage, but the pink pepper is very noticeable. On me, that aroma is so strong that it makes me smell like a pepper tree (not everyone’s cup of tea). I layered it with Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu and it turned the scent white; it improved the aroma and reminded me of classic perfumes, becoming powdery, not aldehydic, like elegant makeup and very woody at the end (I liked that part more). This Twillie doesn’t have much sillage, it sticks close to the skin, but other women have already asked me to buy it for them. It’s NOT femme fatale, it’s a classy woman, for spring. With layering, it stays on clothes and is unique, half woody.

  • antologia

I don’t agree with many reviews. For me, Eau poivrée is the best of all the Twillies, in fact, the only one I wear. It has so much personality and I fell in love with it from the first moment. I couldn’t live without it today; it’s my signature. Very versatile, I think it fits any season, day, or night.

  • CitricaSoy

Honestly, I can’t handle this perfume. It is the personification of pink pepper. I don’t share the idea that it’s versatile or suitable for spring and summer. I also don’t see it as a daily wear because it ends up being overpowering due to its potency. Strong scent, elegant lady vibe, and quite intrusive. You need personality, presence, and, if you’ll allow me, a certain age. It’s not for everyone.

  • What a scent…!!! At first, the pink pepper is intense, but it’s a different kind of olfactory experience that gives you presence and subtle elegance. It’s not a beast; it lasts for hours and leaves a rich trail. Men and women compliment me when I wear it. Give it a try…❤️
