What an exquisite aroma. At first, the rum, cinnamon, and honey overwhelm you, creating a presence about a meter and a half away; labdanum is noticeable too. It lasts all day, leaving a rich vanilla base with a powdery musk and tonka bean that fit perfectly. It hits the 10-hour mark and reminds me of Tobacco Vanille.
Got a sample and it’s a cinnamon, honey, tobacco, and rum bomb with full-on caramel syrup; vanilla only shows up at the end after hours. But the honey and tobacco dominate so much that everything else is almost imperceptible. It clings to the skin way too much (for me, it’s too much 😅, I can’t take it anymore).
This is a Christmas punch in a bottle: sweet, rich, comforting, mature, and with a vintage touch. Now that I’ve tried it, I understand why so many brands have copied this accord. I totally recommend it for cold weather, though it can be overpowering.
I’ve given up on the dominant scent in this perfume and its clones. It feels too penetrating and cloying until it literally hurts my stomach, lol. It’s a shame because it’s intriguing and, being from Hermes, it performs well, but after several tries, I’m clear it’s not for me.
Honey, cinnamon, tobacco, and caramel… but mostly a lot of honey. There are many imitations, some better than others, but the quality is tremendous and the scent very original. Still, it didn’t excite me because it feels too cloying to me. As I always say, when honey dominates, I end up hating it. Performance was excellent: it lasted 8 hours with good projection in the first 4. Unisex for winter and fall.
