I don’t know what’s going on with this fragrance, but it doesn’t smell the same every day. Sometimes I can’t detect the ginger scent, which is my favorite part; when I don’t smell it, I only notice the citrus, which are the notes I like least. Aside from that, I liked the perfume, but I feel it’s better right after a shower, mainly because it lacks fixation and sillage. On me, it lasted about 4 hours; if I shower with it in the morning, I have to reapply because it’s barely noticeable. I’d recommend this perfume for very casual occasions where you don’t need it to last all day or for others to detect. It’s a shame because the scent is unique compared to everything else today, but they should work on that terrible longevity for the price it commands.
Twilly d’Hermès: I fell in love at the first spray back in 2017. In 2019, a special edition with a charm on the ribbon was released. It’s executed masterfully in its simplicity, belonging to the floral family. It opens cheerfully with ginger, bergamot, and delicate, sophisticated bitter orange. Then it takes you to a heart of neroli (I was already hooked by the innocent neroli work!), jasmine, and orange blossom. The dry down features creamy sandalwood and vanilla. Very chic and feminine, offering freshness and cleanliness. I wore it great in autumn and winter, but it really comes alive in spring. I’m so in love that I even wear it on summer nights; it has great sillage, lasts 8 hours on damp skin, is versatile for both casual and event wear, and I always get compliments. The nose is Christine Nagel, inspired by the free, bold, mischievous woman with faith and hope, who swims against the tide and sets her own pace. That’s why I love her carefree elegance! It results in a delicious, unexpected combination. It’s stayed in my collection.
I bought it a few days ago and fell completely in love the moment I tested it on my skin. It’s a daytime scent, quite springy at the start due to the citrus notes, but I wear it day and night, especially now in autumn/winter. I really love how it evolves; it’s a pleasure to go through its stages. The sandalwood and vanilla play wonderfully with the citrus. I must highlight its durability; it’s excellent. Simply in love.
I’m falling for Hermès more and more every day. I love this perfume; it lasts hours on me! The neroli and sandalwood are very prominent. One of my favorites.
I was one of those who praised the perfume to Gildita thanks to Twilly. Moderate projection and very good longevity. The neroli, sweet sandalwood, and a touch of neroli stand out. Warm and comforting. I wasn’t convinced until she let me try it. Now I truly believe it’s a rare, well-constructed fragrance.
Wow! I fell in love at first sniff. I was gifted a ton of samples, and I’m heartbroken to finish the last one. It’s beautifully constructed with clear evolution and excellent longevity. It opens deliciously: citrus with a spicy kick (ginger). What I love most is the floral heart with neroli that lacks the usual sweetness, feeling instead soapy and pleasant. The base is sweetened sandalwood with vanilla, a true delight. On my skin, it lasts 8-10 hours and projects well for the first 5-6 hours without being invasive. It’s not sexy or extremely elegant, but it’s versatile, cheerful, and wearable. Scent 8/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 7/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 7/10. I already bought it and would do it a thousand times over.
The pepper is very noticeable, but to me, it smells like cough syrup, very artificial.
Like many Hermès scents, it’s peculiar, exquisite, and not for everyone. Here’s my take: Twilly is no exception. It has several facets: the kick of ginger, citrus freshness, and a floral bouquet where neroli shines; as it dries down, I notice a subtle woody touch. Projection is moderate to wide, and it lasts me over 8 hours. I recommend trying it first; although it seems youthful, it’s not mass-appeal or simple. If you’re looking for something authentic, this is your pick. Not recommended for summer—it’s intense and shines more in intermediate seasons without overpowering.
A precious daytime fragrance. It reminds me of dolls, but without that ‘stuffed’ vibe. It smells cheerful and sparkling, likely due to the ginger opening. White flowers dominate with avainillated neroli, nothing overly sweet like usual. Very original and beautiful, definitely one of my favorites for spring.
My summer in a bottle: fresh, sparkling, and sexy. I’m not usually a floral fan, but this stole my heart from the first spray. It’s not just any floral; it’s energizing, spicy, and refined—an indestructible, unforgettable gentleman’s perfume. The longevity is short, but it remains my go-to for hot days.
This perfume and I have been on an aromatic rollercoaster since its launch. At first, I found it too sweet and didn’t like it. Then I received a sample and loved it, I got obsessed until I bought it. Now I use it, but without passion, because I know it’s not for me. The spicy ginger opening lasts very little; I immediately sense the earthy, ginger peel aspect, a typical Hermès quirk. The neroli arrives, and *bam*, free fall. I’ve confirmed that neroli as a lead note isn’t my thing; I don’t identify with it. Twilly doesn’t smell bad; in fact, it smells good, like elegant soap, but that’s not my scent. The ‘neroli addicts’ have a very refined, well-crafted option here. As for me, I’m getting off this rollercoaster and not getting back on.
I really like Twilly. It has a citrus opening, but not fresh or watery; rather, it’s spicy and peppery due to the ginger. That acidic sensation turns soapy as it settles, which is my favorite phase. The flower that stands out most to me is orange blossom. I sense the neroli as soft and silky. The orange blossom is present until the end, wrapped in sandalwood, another standout note. In that soapy phase, it also smells like lavender. Finally, I’m left with orange blossom and sandalwood. It has charm, it’s chic, soft, and sparkling like its bottle. It has a young, kind soul and gives good energy. The longevity is acceptable, but the trail fades after an hour and a half; the performance is a bit short. Still, it’s delicious and I recommend giving it a try.
What a delight. On my skin, the ginger is very noticeable, a clean soap-like note, and an almost sweet base. I haven’t tried the poivrée version, but I plan to. I think it will become one of my favorites. Also, it has more than acceptable fixation.
Twilly smells like what we wanted to be fifteen years ago: a cosmopolitan, traveling woman. It has that 2000s charm, it’s unisex, and perfect for everyday wear—discreet but with personality. The opening is a realistic explosion of citrus and ginger, sparkling. As it settles, a nice, calm floral aroma appears. Finally, sandalwood clings to the skin, closing out a very well-made fragrance. The name and bottle are a steal. I wouldn’t buy it for my collection, but I’d gift it to a girl aged 15 to 25 who’s never had a good perfume: ‘Look, instead of smelling like cheap stuff, you can smell like this. Isn’t it wonderful?’
Very nice, it doesn’t overwhelm. For our age, it might bring back memories of when we were little. It starts spicy, but barely, so if you hate spice, keep that in mind. Then it softens with characterful flowers, like ginger, neroli, and jasmine. It’s beautiful, ideal for quiet days or casual outings, not for parties or big events.
I tried it a while ago and liked it. I tried it again today. Just a heads-up: I miss the opening because I apply it, leave, and sneakily remove my mask at a doorway to smell it. Apart from that, it reminds me a lot of JPG’s Classique, which I haven’t smelled in a while either. At home, I compared it to the Mercadona dupe (Very Woman), and yes, there’s a resemblance. According to Fragrantica, they share neroli (prominent in both), ginger (more noticeable and sparkling in Twilly), bergamot, orange blossom, and a vanilla-sandalwood base. Since I own Very Woman, I notice a laundry detergent vibe, though I don’t mind it. I remember the authentic Classique being more complex and rounded than Twilly, but I liked it. EDIT: The only downside is the bottle looks very ugly; not so much the glass (which is standard), but the cap and that absurd combination. If it’s to revive swinging London and Twiggy, the pillbox hat is fine (though less plasticized), but why a square, lumpy pot? If it’s for the square, why the hat? And that colorful bow looking like a sausage? Is it a tribute to Hermès scarves or a parody of their worst enemy?
This perfume gives me nausea. I’m sorry, because I wanted to like it and tried it a lot, but the mix of bitter orange, ginger peel, and neroli just doesn’t work. It overwhelms me so much that all I think about is taking it off and changing clothes. I normally love Hermès perfumes, but this combination definitely doesn’t work for me.
Twilly d’Hermès smells like incense and wood with a very subtle sweetness, perfect for autumn. I don’t like it for summer, but in two months, with more freshness, it might feel like a wool blanket on my skin. It’s pretty and different, so I’ll give it another shot in another season.
Twilly is cheerful, sunny, and uncomplicated. The opening is a natural sweet orange with a soft ginger touch. Later, it smells like blue flowers or pale roses—I don’t recognize any official notes (maybe a hint of orange blossom in the background). After 20-30 minutes, it gets intense, and the dry down smells like a fine laundry detergent. I’ve tried few Hermès perfumes, and they’re all inoffensive; even the strong ones feel softened, I guess that’s their elegance. It lasts 4-6 hours and leaves a soft trail.
My first ‘going out’ perfume that I absolutely love. It starts with a citrusy, spicy ginger note, then the neroli and orange blossom come through. I wouldn’t wear it in winter, but with spring around the corner, I’ve already added it to my favorites.
My relationship with neroli is complicated; I like it, but in large quantities, it overwhelms me and gives me a headache; one of my grandmothers loved her flowers and always had a bouquet at home. That’s why when they offered me to smell it, I did so cautiously. Luckily, I took the risk; its beginning is dominated by bitter orange and ginger, then the neroli and orange blossom emerge, giving a white floral with a vintage air like the hat on the bottle with its mini scarf. Finally, the sandalwood blends with the flowers; reducing the strength of the neroli. It’s a nice perfume, for mid-season, with good longevity and sillage.
Hermès Twilly EDP in my personal experience. On paper, it smells fresh, white flowers with ginger. That’s why I bought it; I liked it. But on my skin, it’s like I perfumed myself with water: zero scent, zero projection, zero longevity. I had to spray it several times and reapply… and… nothing! A total fiasco. I can’t believe it!!! A Hermès perfume…! I can’t smell it, neither can anyone else. Poor performance and a sky-high price. I won’t buy it again. EDIT: I’ve used Hermès Twilly this whole time. I must say it’s the ugliest perfume I’ve ever bought: sweetened ginger tea with wilted flowers. I’m very sorry to say this, because I own several Hermès fragrances and I love them all. But with this one… I don’t know what happened…!!!
This year I’m a neroli fanatic, and Twilly is one of my favorite purchases with this note. Twilly seems very well-made; it’s a retro perfume that proposes familiar things in a new way while looking back. I wanted to try it, but I didn’t want to buy blind—I’m not much of that, only when I have no choice or they’re cheap and the notes guarantee I’ll like them. I went to the store, loved the opening, but didn’t want to buy in a rush, so I left to take a walk, then came back and bought it, amazed by how well it connected with Twilly. The moment I sprayed it, I noticed those bright, sweet, and spicy citrus notes from the ginger. I like the opening, but I love the evolution more. When it settles and the white flowers come out in all their glory, they surprise you; I was very surprised. The change is a 180-degree turn from the opening; sweet, round, and very present white flowers appear. I must say, I smell the neroli, and how the other flowers enhance it creates a very special variation. Sometimes that neroli oscillates between sweet, but suddenly it seems soapy to me. The interesting thing about Twilly is its transformation; I think even a nose without references could appreciate these changes. Its dry down is a spicy floral. In my case, the floral touch doesn’t quite disappear, but a dry vanilla takes precedence, nothing sweet thanks to the sandalwood. The bottle either you love it or hate it; I love it. It’s as if Stevie Nicks and Annie Hall designed the bottle and what’s inside represents them too.
Wow. On my skin, it opens with an explosive vintage neroli where all the white flowers shine with a great balance and it’s not sweet. Soon the ginger comes out with its spicy touch and dries down to a very creamy sandalwood without losing the neroli. If you like its main accord, you’ll fall in love; otherwise, you’ll run. Excellent longevity, as with all in the line.
As mentioned below, if you don’t like its main chords, you’ll run away. In my case, I ended up gifting it. I felt it was too woody and didn’t connect with it, but it’s not a bad perfume, just not one to buy blind. Edit: I smelled it on someone else after a long time and really liked how it sat on them. I think it’s winning me over.
At first, I thought it was sublime, another masterpiece from my favorite brand; but then it started smelling like another perfume I already own, the Twilly. Total disappointment. It’s not original, and on top of that, it doesn’t last even an hour on my skin.
I bought it at the airport, tried it, and couldn’t stop smelling myself. When I got home, my mom said it didn’t smell like me; it smelled like an old lady. So I smelled it directly from the box, and she was right—I thought I grabbed the wrong version :). But the next day, when I put it on, it smelled amazing. My mom asked what perfume I was wearing, and I told her it was the same one she didn’t like. It’s a confusing version with distinct stages, very beautiful, and reminds me of elegant autumn. For me, it’s a night scent because it has a bit of a shadow, but every skin is different; on mine, it lasts forever.
This perfume delivers on all three of its promises perfectly. At first, there’s a strong ginger mixed with bitter orange and bergamot. Then the flowers emerge (neroli, neroli, and jasmine). Finally, it’s wood with soft vanilla touches. It’s a white floral with a very woody dry down. The longevity is beast-mode, lasting over 8 hours without reapplication. It’s versatile, suitable for all seasons, perfect for elegant dressing, and lives up to the bottle’s vibe. It’s for a woman with a hat and a fine scarf. 10/10, I’m fascinated and it’s already my signature scent.
The standout notes are clearly ginger, neroli, and citrus. The opening is spicy, then quickly turns creamy and powdery. Compared to the other Twillys, this is the least sweet, though it leaves a sweet trail as it dries down. I absolutely love it; it lasts well and smells like ‘second skin’—very delicate and classic. Great for day, autumn, spring, and winter. I’ve never worn it in summer. Definitely worth trying.
I’m obsessed with this perfume 💖 I feel like pure ginger and it hits instantly. Smelling it brings to mind total cleanliness, like imagining a young, pretty girl running errands. Then it settles into a soft vanilla and a noticeable musk. Perfect for warm days (without being hot) or cold ones.
A sublime composition of ginger, jasmine, and vanilla are the notes that stand out on my skin. Twilly was an unexpected gift and a love at first sniff, a perfume both praised and criticized. I’ve been told I smell old but also that I smell spectacular, elegant, and delicious. I often hear that its longevity is bad, but in my experience, I differ, as it lasts more than 8 hours on my skin; the first 4 with high sillage and projection. On clothes, the scent is still felt even after being washed. I use it a lot despite my extensive collection; it’s an indispensable favorite.
As King África said, bomb! This is a ginger and bitter orange bomb! And what’s strange is that it stays on the skin for hours. It’s one of those perfumes you either love or hate because the projection level is maximum and not suitable for layering, as it distorts and mutes. 9/10.
Well, I don’t know much about the smell of some flowers, but after the Covid, many good perfumes I used stopped smelling to me. Looking for a cologne for winter, going crazy at El Corte Inglés, I came across Twilly and it became my perfume. Putting it on makes me feel like I just got out of the shower, smelling of expensive soap, with a sweet, musky, floral, and fresh touch. I feel elegant, refined, and secure. Several people I don’t know tell me: ‘oh you smell great, girl,’ girl at my 45! The marketing is right, it smells youthful (not old like they say around here hahaha), but I understand that the scent is different on each skin. My only downside is the price: 120 euros for 85ml. I save it for weekends because during the week it’s too much, but for me, I’d use it all the time.
As M. Benedetti said, it’s not about who moves your floor, but who centers you. Twilly is just that. Irreverence lies in the sensations of the women who wear it, not in the reactions the colors it produces in others. From a male perspective, it’s a sexy and sophisticated marvel. It’s a perfume that chooses you and makes it risky to gift because it’s not for everyone. It picks its victim regardless of age or style. Being in my family circle and loving it, I never dared to review it. That’s why, reading the girls’ reviews until I confessed I smiled because it is exactly as they describe. The scent is a versatile journey. It starts with fresh and spicy ginger, really tickling the nose a bit, but it doesn’t last long because fresh neroli comes in the heart, giving subtle and elegant femininity. I love this part, and it dries down to a creamy sandalwood, something powdery and warm. Note: spicy, fresh, warm-creamy. It’s an olfactory antagonistic journey that confuses and amuses, defying any commercial canon. That’s why NEVER buy it blind, and if you gift it, prepare to invest more than $150 and either triumph or fail spectacularly. Longevity is typical for the brand: 7-8 hours with 1h45 of projection and good sillage in temperate climates. You decide, or Twilly will. Cheers! It’s my perfume. Smelling it puts a smile on my face. It has an evolution that seems like magic. A sparkling opening of ginger and orange blossom, fresh and soapy, like just out of the shower. After a while, that ginger turns warm, almost burning on the skin. After some time, the neroli stands out, splendid and creamy, and lingers in a powdery harmony of jasmine and vanilla, warm, comfortable, and cozy. It’s not sweet at all, and its soapy and clean point counters the strength of the flowers, so while it’s easy to perceive, it doesn’t seem intrusive. I like it more during the day, perhaps for the optimism it exudes, and for any occasion.
This perfume takes you on a mysterious journey of explosions of ginger, orange, and white flowers, perfect for spring season. It’s so fresh that it gives you the personality of an uncomplicated woman, yet it empowers you. You can slightly detect vanilla and jasmine.
I bought it blind because I saw it at TJMaxx for $40. I read comments saying it smelled like cat urine or sweat, but I found nothing of that. To me, it smells like flowers with a touch of ginger.
I gifted this fragrance to my wife almost a month ago. I was away for work for a few days and just before returning, I decided to walk around the city. By chance, I found this little bottle. Its presentation really caught my eye—a bonnet-style cap and a colorful ribbon, impossible to miss. I ordered a sample and what a surprise. A marvel of a scent; the floral punch with ginger and citrus left me mesmerized, so I decided to buy it without hesitation. Luckily, my wife loved it a lot.
I confess I bought it for the bottle. The bonnet and the colorful ribbon made me want it. I saw the notes and jumped in to try it blind. The scent does seem like a lady’s fragrance, but I liked it. I didn’t smell the ginger as spicy as I expected, but with the orange it’s delicious. It changes over time, becoming warm and a bit powdery. It smells floral, but I didn’t notice the neroli, although this year I’m a neroli fanatic. Even though I don’t usually tolerate powdery scents, I can handle it here, though it smells like a guilty pleasure and reminds me of my mom’s perfumes in the 90s. I’ll definitely gift it to her because it definitely smells like a maternal figure.
It can be unisex and elegant, but not for young people; I see it as ideal for those over 40. Best for days without much heat or for evening wear. The ginger gives it a sparkling touch at the start, then you notice the neroli, bitter orange, and finally the sandalwood. It’s very pleasant and settles well on the skin over time. Medium longevity. I don’t recommend buying it blind; better to test it on your skin and wait a bit. I love it.
