The 2020 EDP of this classic is a step stronger than the original, but doesn’t bring major novelties. It’s chocolatey, potent, and nocturnal, almost a sibling to Dior’s Intense, although the original already had all that. PS: Nothing to do with Club de Nuit; it’s for an intense urban man.
Interesting D&G The One Intense. It plays with an addictive sweetness like Stronger with You, but adds cardamom and cashmere. Anyone who smells it won’t want to take it off. Unlike the dry EDP, this is seductive for pubs and clubs, rivaling JPG Le Beau. Ideal for nights between 18 and 40 years old, with superior trail.
Irresistible deal at €19.95 for 50ml. Bought blind based on trust in the brand. Reminds me of Lolita Lempicka, with a sweet and rich opening and great trail. I applied it six hours ago and it’s still there. No regrets, I recommend it.
It outclasses its older siblings (EDT and EDP) in power. Smells like Mont Blanc Legend Night but improved; it’s rich and potent.
My blind buy was a flop at first; it left me cold. But the second one was pure gold: THE ONE ROYAL NIGHT. Literally gives me goosebumps. It amplifies the bright, beautiful notes of this line created for the East, a real injustice that it hasn’t reached Latin America.
After using it for a while, I have to say I love its scent. I’ve worn it for 14 hours since applying it, and I can still feel its essence. On my skin, it lasts more than 12 hours despite claims that it’s moderate. It’s one of the few where I don’t have to overapply. For me, it’s a 10.
Woody fragrance with very noticeable leather and amber notes. It impacts when you smell it, breaking away from the stereotypes we’re used to. It seems too similar to Issey Miyake Pulse of the Night in certain nuances, but later on, the dry down takes different paths. Recommended!

Warm, sweet, delicate, discreet, with elegant personality. It has the DNA of its predecessors, which is already great, but for the better, this one takes its own identity. It’s very pleasant to wear. On sunny days, it seems to amplify its performance. Longevity is good, and as the hours pass, it becomes more perceptible and pleasant. It could have used a bit more intensity, but even so, I think it’s a very good fragrance.
It’s a flanker of the original The One that, in my opinion, has nothing to do with it. It’s spicy. A warm, seductive oriental with evolution, which is a plus given how many linear aromas exist. The opening is intense with a sweet, amber scent that, a few minutes later, is dominated by a dark but seductive cardamomo, accompanied by a very sweet resinous benzoin. In the early stages, there’s a scent of youthful synthetic leather. It’s like a mix of leather with orange blossom and a very well-executed amber. The perfume is sweet, a young oriental with good performance for D&G. Perfect for romantic dates and leisure moments with cool temperatures. It can also be worn in summer, but better at night to flirt and give a young, modern impression. I liked it, especially because it’s a perfume with classic essences that manages to be youthful and stand out.
Very good cardamomo opening that swallows all the other notes… very much in the style of the The One and La Nuit lines, the seductive kind. Performance-wise, knowing the line, I’d give it a 7.5; it lacks more of its ‘intense’ name, but whatever. Between the EDT, EDP, and this one, I’m sticking with this one, bought and in my collection. I’ll test it more thoroughly; it looks promising.
The One For Men Eau de Parfum Intense is sweet, amber, and leathery. The opening is sweet and spicy, with a sweetened cardamomo and something between almond liqueur and anise. Over time, the sweetness fades but never disappears, while the amber rises with leather and something that smells more like orange blossom than neroli. I prefer this dry down phase over the opening. Its warmth makes it ideal for cool days, autumn, winter, or night outs. Longevity is very good on my skin, up to 12 hours with regular presence. This version strays from the original EDT and EDP, replacing tobacco, ginger, and citrus with leather and woody notes, getting closer to the Guerlain L’Homme Ideal line, especially the EDT. It’s a good fragrance that improves on performance compared to other The One line scents, but for me, it wouldn’t be a purchase option since I already own several sweet ones I barely use due to the weather, and I’d use this very little. I recommend it to those with few night fragrances who are looking for something modern with good longevity.
Well, I bought it… I was seduced by the name, the titles, and that gorgeous, luxurious bottle. At first, I thought it was oriental, but it turns out to be leather… Okay, leather with oriental touches, spicy, piquant, and dark. The bittersweet cardamomo and neroli open with a green, spicy cypress note. Resinous and woody cashmere takes the center, with hints of the original, while aggressive sage adds green freshness and youth. The dry down is an amber of toasted almonds, warm, resinous, and cozy, very much in the style of Valentino Uomo. It’s warm, elegant, autumnal, wintery, spicy, and fruity (nutty). Perfect for dressing up elegantly for special events. Longevity and projection are moderate (I expected more). It reminds me of other toasted almond and spicy leather perfumes, so I don’t find anything exceptional. I don’t know what else to say: I like it, but I would have preferred to love it.
The One For Men Intense smells sweet, amber, and leathery. It starts sweet and spicy, with a sweetened cardamom and something between almond liqueur and anise. Over time, the sweetness fades but doesn’t disappear, while the amber rises with leather and something that smells more like orange blossom than neroli. I like this dry-down phase better than the opening. Its warmth makes it ideal for cool days, autumn, winter, or couple nights out. It lasted up to 12 hours on my skin with regular application. This version diverges from the original EDT and EDP, swapping tobacco, ginger, and citrus for leather and woody notes that bring it closer to the L’Homme Ideal line by Guerlain, especially its EDT. It’s a good fragrance that improves in longevity compared to other The One scents, but for me, it wouldn’t be a purchase because I already have several sweet ones I barely use due to my country’s climate, and I’d wear this rarely. I recommend it to those with few night fragrances who are looking for something modern with good longevity.
Well, I bought it… I was seduced by the name, the titles, and that gorgeous, luxurious bottle. At first, I thought it was oriental, but it turns out to be leather… Okay, a leather with oriental touches due to that spicy and peppery imprint. The bittersweet cardamom and neroli open with a sharp green cypress note. The resinous, woody cashmere occupies the heart, with hints of the original One, while the aggressive sage adds freshness and a youthful touch. The dry-down is an almond amber, warm, resinous, and cozy, very much in the style of Valentino Uomo. It’s warm, elegant, autumnal, wintry, spicy, and fruity (nutty). To wear it elegantly at special events. Longevity and projection are moderate (I expected more). It reminds me of other almond and spice leather fragrances, so I don’t find anything exceptional. I don’t know what else to say: I like it, although I would have preferred to be obsessed with it.
The name is a scam; ‘Eau de Parfum Intense’ is unnecessary. It has nothing to do with the original; it loses about 20-30% of its tobacco character and replaces it with uninteresting leather. It’s younger than the EDT and projects less than the EDP, and maybe the only thing they have in common is that neither lasts long. To me, it smells like a softer, sweeter version of Guerlain L’Homme Ideal or Uomo Signature. Anyway, I like it, but not much. Buying it blindly was a mistake.
I liked The One EDP, but this one left me breathless. Instant love at first sniff. I know it doesn’t project as much or last as long, but I absolutely adore it. I keep it in the closet just to enjoy the scent, or I wear it on my arms after a shower while watching TV. Not for the beach or hot weather. It smells sweet, with almond and wood notes. Don’t buy it blindly. If you like sweet perfumes like Armani Code, you might get hooked. It smells just like Guerlain L’Homme, very similar, but I still prefer this one—it’s more almond-y, sweeter, and addictive. The almond note isn’t even in the pyramid, yet it’s what you smell the whole time.
I love The One EDP; I was fascinated by it from the first sniff. I know it doesn’t last or project much, but it’s my relaxation scent: I open it in the closet or put it on my arms after a shower to smell it while watching TV. It’s not for the beach; it’s sweet, almond-y, and woody. If you like gourmands like Armani Code, you’ll love this. I compared it to Guerlain L’Homme EDT, and they’re very similar, but I prefer this one because it’s more almond-y and sweet; it’s addictive. Almond isn’t in the pyramid, but that’s what it smells like.
I’m obsessed with this fragrance. It’s super elegant, and what really hooks me is how well it lasts on the skin. It smells a lot like Guerlain L’Homme Ideal.
I’m fascinated by it; it’s very elegant, and the dry-down is what I like most. It has a huge similarity with Guerlain L’Homme Ideal EDT.
Uuuufff, La Dolce Vita Nocturna!! 10/10, I loved it.
I was looking to replace my YSL Kouros guided by the benjoi and clary sage, which both share, but unfortunately they’re not similar except for the balsamic facet. However, it smells rich, sexy, and charismatic. I don’t agree that it’s very similar to Guerlain L’Homme Ideal EDT, which is almond-like and more woody, while this The One EDP Intense vibrates with a persistent creamy coconut note that doesn’t evolve and is more unisex. Between the two, I prefer Ideal for being more masculine and refined. This The One resembles Prada Black but softer. Anyway, it’s a great fragrance for anyone seeking a creamy balsamic coconut scent that isn’t too masculine.
Italian elegance at its absolute peak.
Hidden gem in perfumery. Very aromatic, with captivating cardamom and neroli, slightly sweet and powdery, and a subtle leather base that gives it a masculine and dark hold. It has nothing to do with its other flankers in terms of scent or performance; this one stands out in longevity, strong for 1.5-2 hours and then becomes personal with a rich trail. I used 10-12 sprays. I grabbed it as a tester for 50€ and it’s one of the best designer scents now, you should try it.
Must have cedar, because when it dries down it smells 90% like Gentleman Intense.
Elegant and very well-balanced fragrance, it invites people to get closer. Highly recommended.
Tremendous perfume, citrusy and spicy, with cardamom as the star. The notes say lemon, neroli, and oak, but it definitely smells like cardamom. It smells masculine, fresh, and elegant. It reminds me of YSL La Nuit de L’Homme but with more citrus and better longevity and projection. The price is ridiculous for what it offers, a hidden gem that should stay this way. The best from D&G for men, 10/10.
Sobriety, citrus, and sweetness with a leather touch; the dry down leaves something powdery-earthy, a marvel. I disagree with those comparing it to Guerlain L’Homme Ideal; I own all three versions and they’re nothing alike. Instead, the dry down has a subtle resemblance to Prada L’Homme Intense, though without the iris, just sharing patchouli and leather. Very good.
The opening is lit, reminding me of Versace The Dreamer or the old D&G Pour Homme, which are terrible and outdated. It dries down to typical warm aromas like Armani Code, but I don’t like it in either the opening or the dry down.
The opening is literally Versace The Dreamer or the old D&G Pour Homme, which I find horrible and outdated. When it dries down, it resembles warm scents like Armani Code, and I don’t like the smell or the evolution.
Great for cold days, smells charming and seductive. Maybe it fades quickly or I get nose fatigue, but it’s definitely a great perfume. Highly recommended.
