I tried it, and honestly, it’s pretty bad.
Well, well, well… love at first sight; I just needed to smell it once and came back the next day. Those who say it smells like JPG’s Scandal are wrong; it’s sweet but has no resemblance. As a data point, it lasts longer than the EDP. Ideal for fresh autumn/spring.
I don’t know if I’m the only one, but I get a dry touch and a “body odor” vibe (like armpit) at the opening, as if it had cardamomo. Once it dries down and I catch the scent from afar, it reminds me of Ariana Grande’s Cloud, thanks to the lavender combination and those sweet, synthetic accords.
Speechless, the best from AB in years. At first, it didn’t convince me, but an hour later, the caramel dominates the florals and becomes addictive. They silenced the critics and nailed it. Lasts 6 hours on skin and over 12 on clothes. The “The Icon” EDT doesn’t even reach 2 hours.
Top perfume, ideal for personal use. Curious fact: women love it. The mix of tangerine and caramel is rare, but the success is total.
Excellent perfume, made to be enjoyed in solitude. Curious fact: women absolutely love it. The blend of tangerine and caramel is rare, but it works and is incredibly popular.
It’s still too early for a very objective review since I haven’t used it enough. But I’ll give one tip for those living in countries where you have to buy Arab perfumes blind because there’s no official distribution in drugstores. Right after spraying and letting it settle, I thought, wow, I heard this recently. It has a vibe similar to Armaf’s Club de Nuit Urban Elixir. So, for anyone wondering where this Armaf is heading and having no place to test it, look for Icon Attitude, which is everywhere. When it dries down, it also reminds me of Club de Nuit Untold, perhaps due to the caramel/burnt sugar notes.
I really like it. The opening, unlike most perfumes, is weak; it doesn’t have many attention-grabbing elements and even smells a bit watery. As it dries down, its magic starts to appear: lavender takes the lead accompanied by caramel, with a soft woody base giving it a suede-like texture. While it’s not a direct dupe of another perfume, I feel the lavender here is very similar to Prada’s Luna Rossa line, but it’s used differently here because it’s sweetened by other notes. It doesn’t feel like a generic fragrance; it has something special, though I wouldn’t say it stands out among other scents. It conveys tranquility and security, it’s too pleasant, and I feel like wearing it daily. A very nice aroma. I’d say it’s more for daytime use and temperate to cool climates, so spring and autumn are ideal seasons. What a great perfume AB released. None of the other The Icon fragrances pleased me as much as this one, honestly. A pleasant surprise.
I love it. The opening is subtle, almost watery, without being loud, but once it dries, the magic awakens: lavender with caramel and a suede-like wood base. It’s not a direct dupe, though the lavender reminds me of Prada Luna Rossa; here it’s sweeter and has its own character. It doesn’t smell generic; it has something special, even if it doesn’t stand out among thousands. It gives me a sense of calm and security, so pleasant that I want to wear it daily. Perfect for mild or cold days; spring and autumn are its kings. Great job by AB. Out of the entire The Icon line, this is my favorite—a pleasant surprise.
Well, it’s a youthful and decent fragrance from the perspective of my inexperienced fan nose. I feel it’s a trend-driven scent: caramelized, sweet, and green, but without being overwhelming or annoying. It’s the kind of aroma most people smell and like; ladies are attracted to it, but that’s it. It’s like a “smells good…” but that’s all. I don’t know if it was meant to be a party scent (it seems like it) or if it aimed to be a fresh, versatile spring green; from my perspective, it ends up in no-man’s-land. Last but not least, maybe it’s crazy comparing it to Scandal pour Homme EDT given how many people do it, but for me, it feels more like the vibe of 212 VIP Wins (the green one from 212 CH)—that is, a sweet, green, and spicy citrus… maybe crazy. To wrap up, it’s not a scent I’d keep in my collection.
Honestly, the first time I smelled it, it didn’t catch my attention, so I let it pass and used it occasionally. Then, out of nowhere, I said, ‘Let’s give it another shot,’ and honestly, I loved it. It seems that as a mid-range fragrance, it doesn’t smell synthetic at all—obviously, some parts are, but its evolution is beautiful. That distinct caramel scent gives it a plus, and that pear and mandarin combination is potentiated along with the pepper, giving a spicy kick to that dry-down part. A solid 8/10.
Smells like an aerosol deodorant… honestly, it doesn’t stand out at all! The scent is very simple. The Icon EDT is still the best, along with the EDP. The Icon Elixir is basically an affordable Invictus. Attitude comes last in my top list for not bringing anything new to the market.
Attitude works really well for someone who isn’t as demanding as I am. The Icon Elixir also works great, but Attitude has something that grabs my attention more: that sweet part, and on the other hand, the acidity and sweetness of the mandarin. Good projection and fixation—not a monster, but worth it for the value. In my opinion, I’d ideally use it in spring, cool summer nights, autumn, and maybe winter on days that aren’t too cold. I see it as ideal for transition seasons.
This perfume is among the best Antonio Banderas has to offer. Standing ovation for such a wonderful, incredible work of art that you can get for so little.
This is the best from Antonio Banderas; standing ovation for this work of art. It’s incredible to have such an amazing perfume for such a low price.
The Icon Attitude… Well. I bought it because I saw it at a very accessible price in my country (available in premium stores like Walgreens in the US). Let’s get straight to it: it’s a unique scent today, fitting the 2024 trend, yet I’ve sensed it somewhere before—not in a mass-market or perfumery way… maybe in a field, a lagoon, or a forest; I’m not sure, it just evokes a memory. It has something particular: its sillage is different from the scent on the skin, and this is noticeable while smelling it. One smell in the air, and when you press your nose to the skin, it’s another. It’s rare for me, but that rarity makes it original and multifaceted; those around you will notice immediately. The scent? Yes, it has a small DNA of JPG Le Male, but for me, it leans more toward Le Parfum. Note: it’s not a dupe or clone; it simply has a caramelized base with an amber sweetness that evokes the beautiful Haba Tonka from JPD LP. The opening is fresh and citrusy, simply beautiful. Additionally, you can feel the lavender and geranium throughout, accompanied by a refined citrus from the start. For usage, it’s versatile and tends toward temperate climates, but it doesn’t matter much; the scents are for those who like them. Blind buy? Depends… it’s sweet, but not the known Arab sweetness; it has a fresh and elegant side. For me, it’s a perfumonium. If you like the JPG Scandal family, you’ll like this, and if you dislike the sweetness of Kamrha, you’ll like this because it’s not cloying. From the The Icon line, they all seem different with their own charm, but this one needs to be on your shelf. It’s for going out, re-applying without fear, but also works for the day if you want to smell refined without overwhelming anyone. Decent longevity for the price, moderate sillage, but it performs and performs. You might not need to re-apply and still smell good, or re-apply and stand out. Scent/8.9, Sillage/7, Longevity/6, Price/9 (excellent for its scent and longevity).
To those claiming this AB is identical to Armaf’s CBNs: think again. Kamrha is not Angel Share. The Icon stands apart from its younger siblings. AB is going for the modern, youthful vibe that’s popular today. It opens with a sharp, acidic, orangey citrus burst with spicy undertones. As it dries, a well-executed intense lavender brings freshness and softness alongside a slightly acidic caramel due to that citrus note. The dry down is lavender, caramel, musk, and orange. Maybe that orangey caramel reminds me of the first batch of Scandal EDT, but as I said, it could recall several perfumes like Scandal, 212, Ch Phantom, XS, Night, and a bit of Invictus Parfum. They all share that modern caramelized sweetness, but that doesn’t make this a dupe of anything. This AB has its own identity, just like the ones mentioned. It’s easy to wear and complimenting, especially for young people. No fear in spraying it given the price and accessibility. The only downside is longevity at 5-6 hours, which is reached with 8 sprays.
To those saying it smells like JPG’s Scandal: go see an ENT immediately because your sense of smell is off.
I tried it in-store, and the opening was unlike anything I’ve smelled before. As it dried, it approached the Ch Men DNA with that freshness, but featuring orange instead of grapefruit and a floral touch. Interesting value: 100ml for $30 compared to $100 for competitors. It never felt cheap and will surely earn compliments. It feels like an original fragrance in that regard.
Great perfume for the value. The initial blast didn’t surprise me much, but the magic revealed itself over time. It evolves exactly as described on Fragrantica—it’s not linear at all. On my skin, it lasts 7-8 hours, and you notice the notes more each hour. Projection is about 2 hours, then it becomes more personal but still smells amazing; I even got compliments at the 5-hour mark when I thought it had faded. It’s good, beautiful, and cheap. This is the best from the AB line.
Sweet citrus opening with mandarin, pear, and lavender; fresh at first, then sweetens as it dries without being cloying—just soft and sticky all day. Later, the caramel really shines through. It doesn’t resemble JPG’s Scandal; it keeps the mandarin but takes a different path. An absolutely delicious scent. Would I recommend it? Definitely, it’s a must-have for any collection.
Smells like 9PM but less sweet at the start, reminiscent of Lattafa’s Ramz Silver, though the latter feels more synthetic. All three share the Ultramale DNA and dry down very similarly. 9PM wins hands down on longevity and sillage. For the price, it’s a blind buy worth it.
Sweet citrus opening with tangerine, pear, and lavender: fresh at first, sweet as it dries, but not cloying. It’s a soft sweetness that makes you smell good all day, then the caramel shines through. It doesn’t seem like JPG’s Scandal, only the tangerine comes to mind, but it takes a different path; it’s a rich scent. Would I recommend it? Yes, definitely; it must be in your collection.
This fragrance doesn’t leave anyone indifferent. At first, you notice citrus and pear, which lasts the whole time. There’s a lot of lavender and geranium that give it a masculine touch, with a caramel and musk base that make it sweet. The downside is that some notes smell synthetic, but you can’t ask for more for the price. It’s for winter and night, more for young men. It’s rich and original, but be careful not to overapply: the caramel, musk, lavender, and geranium can get tiring, especially for women who smell it stronger.
Edited 5/11/25: It’s the child of 9PM and JPG Scandal. Acceptable performance and good value for the price. Smells similar to the previous ones but stands on its own thanks to its pear and mandarin. It’s very versatile. Winter cold absorbs it well, but in summer it can be invasive. It’s not for everything, but highly recommended for the quality-price-utility ratio.
The scent doesn’t quite work for me, even though I liked it at first. It just doesn’t suit my skin; I get a strange sweetness that I’m not a fan of. It reminds me a bit of ADN from sweet perfumes like Baccarat Rouge, but it’s not the same. It’s for people looking for something sweet and potent; if you’re not used to that, better to skip it.
I don’t like the scents of this perfume, even if I let it macerate; it convinced me in the bottle, but on my skin it smells like a weird sweet. I feel it mixes several DNA of sweet perfumes, like Baccarat Rouge, but it’s not the same. If you’re looking for something potent and sweet, it’s yours; if you’re not used to it, better not buy it.
I’ve been wearing it for two months and it has surprised me for the better. On my skin, the citrus and caramel are very noticeable. It lasts about five or six hours with good projection. To me, it seems 80% similar to Azzaro TMW EDT Intense, but with a slightly stronger caramel. It’s an excellent alternative at a low price. I hope its performance improves significantly over time.
Super masculine and versatile perfume, suitable for any age. The mix of lavender with a caramelized touch caught me by surprise, especially considering the price. Every time I wore it, I got full of compliments. The longevity is moderate, but well acceptable for an Antonio Banderas fragrance. It’s said they no longer manufacture it, but it remains one of the best from the brand. Totally recommended if you can find it.
Super undervalued perfume. Sweet but dark at the same time, the pear and mandarin are very noticeable with that caramelized touch, while the lavender adds freshness that makes it more versatile and less youthful than JPG’s Scandal or Mandarin Sky. The longevity is more than good for the price, approx 6h.
Ufff! ❤️🔥 Of the entire ICON collection, this is the one worth the most to me. It completely stole my attention because it is, by far, superior to its “siblings.” It’s a perfume that guarantees compliments and will please everyone; it’s sweet enough, but with fresh, clean touches that catch attention. Opening: Starts with a refreshing sensation thanks to lavender and geranium, which last a few minutes. Heart: Immediately we feel the sweetness of a super juicy, ripe pear 🍐 that turns creamy thanks to an irresistible lactonic caramel. Shortly after, this duo is joined by a sweet mandarin 🍊 in the background that adds a citrusy point, enriching the fruity sensation. Drydown: The sandalwood is subtle, but that white wood along with the musk gives it a sophisticated, clean touch of man. All this happens without losing the pear and caramel sweetness, which persist until the end. Given its profile, I place it in the same category as Mandarin Sky by Armaf or Scandal by JPG, sharing that fruity-caramelized style, but with the distinctive pear 🍐 twist. On my skin, the longevity exceeds the average of 6 hours, though it doesn’t reach 10. I recommend it 100% for temperate and cold climates, day or night. You can wear it to the office as long as you don’t overdo the sprays, although its best performance will be on casual outings or dates.
What a delight to smell, that pear note is absolutely brutal. I sold it because I’m not usually a fan of sweet perfumes and I regret it a bit, since whenever I wore it, I’d choose another one instead. As an experience, smelling it is delicious and doesn’t result in being cloying; interesting for sure. The longevity isn’t bad at all for an Antonio Banderas fragrance; the more sweet perfumes I smell, the more I value the one that left my collection.
It smells like nothing I’ve tried before. It’s sweet, but not like One Million; it’s more caramelized, like sugar in a pan about to burn. The Icon line is excellent value for money, though it lacks a bit of performance compared to Supreme and Elixir; for cold weather, it’s definitely the best of the three. Scent: 9/10 Price: 8/10 Projection: 7/10 Longevity: 7/10
Wow, what a beautiful and exquisite perfume. It has a sweetness that isn’t cloying, but it’s very dark, nothing like typical gourmands; it leans more towards the style of 212 VIP Black and Scandal EDT. I’d describe it as a twist on Mandarin Sky, but with a darker gum note rather than mandarin. It smells 100% masculine, like sweat (in a good way), while keeping that sweetness. It reminds me a lot of 212 VIP Black, but without that boozy absinthe touch; I consider it superior because 212 doesn’t have the performance we’re looking for anymore. They boost each other when layered and highlight the best of both (I seriously recommend layering). Now, the drydown evokes a somewhat rare sweetness to me that doesn’t fully convince me, but on clothes, it’s a different story. I think letting it mature will improve it significantly; I see it as a solid daily wear as long as it’s not too sunny. I don’t usually pay attention to this, but the bottle is the worst quality I’ve seen; even fragrances from Avon or Esika have better caps and materials. Should I recommend it? Yes, if you like sweet scents, it’s excellent, not cloying unless you have a very refined nose or just don’t like sweet fragrances. I’ll be wearing it as a signature; a solid 9/10.
