Carner Barcelona Tardes is a floral musky woody fragrance for women. Launched in 2010, this composition was created by perfumer Daniela Andrier. The top notes unfold with almond, Brazilian rosewood, rose, and geranium; the heart reveals plum, Virginia cedar, and celery; while the base notes complete the olfactory pyramid with heliotrope, tonka bean, and musk.

I’m writing this as a perfume newbie, drawn to this complex and fun world. I dove in with an inquisitive spirit and no regrets. I’m reaffirming what I once dismissed out of ignorance: perfumes have no gender (with obvious exceptions). I can’t imagine Persians, Greeks, or Romans separating essences between women and warriors. Tardes is perfect for unisex. It wears well, opens beautifully, and, like this house, isn’t invasive (just moderate the sprays). I detect soft almond, floral touches, and sweetness, probably from tonka bean. It feels ELEGANT and SEDUCTIVE (especially up close), and the wearer gets constant bursts. In my next review, once I’ve worn it more, I’ll rate longevity (I intuit moderately) and projection (moderate-light). The quality really shows. Cheers.

A pretty and cozy perfume. Smells like dense sweet almond oil, with a slight fruity sweetness and a cottony floral touch. In the opening I notice a bit of iris, and in the dry down, a tiny hint of celery. It’s not elegant or for going out at night. If there’s one word, it would be ‘siesta’: the tranquility of home after a meal, in a quiet city. Lasts 4-6 hours with soft sillage.

A very pretty and cozy perfume. It smells like dense sweet almond oil, with a slight fruity sweetness and a cottony floral touch. In the opening, I notice a bit of iris, and indeed, in the dry down, there’s a hint of celery. It’s not elegant or suitable for going out at night. If there were one word, it would be ‘siesta’: the tranquility of home after a meal in a quiet city. Longevity is 4-6 hours. Soft trail.

  • Tardes radiates light. It’s a fresh powder, a contradictory thing but that’s how it is. Above all, it smells of almond, powdered flowers, and yes, I feel the juiciness and freshness of celery, green and crisp. I find it refined but not formal. Very easy to wear, it’ll make you look good and feel light. Performance is good, though the sillage stays close to the body. It puts a smile on my face, takes me to a sunny day outdoors. Beautiful, refined, relaxed, a delight. For me it leans feminine, but I’d love to smell it on anyone.

This perfume is a true delicacy—a slightly sweet, musky, and vanilla aroma where almonds round out the composition. It feels creamy and enveloping, and the scent becomes addictive. It’s one of the most sensual I’ve tried. Perfect for a date, although the trail is very soft; if it were stronger, it would be my signature, but up close it’s intoxicating. Totally unisex, and I think it’s one of the best creations alongside Palo Santo from this house.

It’s a true delicacy, a slightly sweet and vanilla-musk where the almonds round everything off. Gives a creamy, enveloping sensation, and it’s addictive. It’s one of the most sensual I’ve tried. Perfect for a date, although the sillage is very soft; if it were stronger it would be my signature, but at close range it’s intoxicating. Completely unisex and I think it’s one of the best creations alongside Palo Santo from this house.

  • Tardes radiates light. It’s a fresh, powdery scent, which sounds contradictory. Above all, it smells of almond, powdery flowers, and yes, I sense the juiciness of celery—green and crisp. It seems refined but not formal. Very easy to wear; Tardes will make you look good and feel light. Its performance is good, though the trail stays close to the body. This perfume puts a smile on my face and transports me to a sunny day outdoors. It’s beautiful, refined, relaxed, and a delight. For me, it leans slightly feminine, but I’d love to smell it on anyone.

  • Tardes is unisex, period. I initially dismissed it, but at the Carner store they offered it to me without any issues. It has lots of sweet almond but ‘refreshed’ with rose and celery, which aren’t direct but add freshness and florality. At some point I notice a liquor vibe. It has an air of Guerlain’s Homme Ideal but much lighter, airy, and refined. Very delicate and elegant. UPDATE: I wore it to work with a vial, and on my skin, the projection and longevity were discreet. A bit hard to justify the price.

  • Tardes is a UNISEX perfume. That’s my blunt opening because I initially dismissed it, yet Carner offered it to me without hesitation. So, what is Tardes? It’s a perfume with lots of sweet almond but ‘refreshed’ by rose and celery, which aren’t immediately obvious but provide that floral and fresh point. At some point, I detect a hint of liquor. It has an air of Guerlain’s ‘Homme Ideal,’ but much lighter, breezier, and above all, refined. A delicate and elegant fragrance. UPDATE: After a while, I wore it to work (I had some vial left), and on my skin, the projection and longevity were quite discreet. Hard to justify the price.

  • Opens with boozy almonds, amaretti style, a touch of plum and musk with heliotrope. Reminds me of Katy Perry’s Indi but sweeter due to the amaretti and with a hint of mothballs that doesn’t convince me. As it dries, the mothball note fades and it becomes a powdery musk close to the skin, similar to Besos from the house but sweeter due to tonka bean. Smells like freshly cut cotton wool, powdered but without being heavy or dry. Projects well for 3 hours and lasts 10 hours on the skin. Leans more feminine, but a man could wear it. Multifunctional and ideal for autumn, though it works for any season if it’s not too hot. Pleasantness: 6/10, interesting: 7/10, versatile: 8/10, original: 7/10.

  • Tardes is a great discovery to get into Carner. Extremely delicate, luminous, and elegant; a perfect unisex. Could be a signature for a man or a spring scent for her. Opens aromatic but hard to decipher. Then the queen of almonds emerges in a sea of powdered vanilla and heliotrope, which sometimes smells like cherry. As it dries down, the musk grows and I notice anise notes. Extremely pleasant. Lasts 8 hours with moderate sillage. If you want to know the house, I recommend the box with 3 x 15ml minis they gifted me on Three Kings Day. Scent 7.5/10, longevity 8/10, sillage 7/10, value 7/10, versatility 7/10, packaging 7/10. Would buy again.

  • Interesting, but it has something artificial, maybe due to the celery and plum combo. My first impression is that it smells like a white floral room freshener. I need to give it more tries.

  • Very almond with plum and flowers, highlighting heliotrope which reinforces the musk and adds a talc-like, clean touch over vanilla. It’s feminine, sweet but delicate, light and cozy. Perfect as a signature scent. Lasts about 6 hours with moderate sillage. Top 3 from the house.

I just bought and used it, and it reminds me a lot of the classic Lolita Lempicka. On my skin, it lasts about 4 to 6 hours but stays close to the skin. I see it for any season—summer, autumn, etc.—and for daytime. Almond opening, slightly boozy, and for me, it carries some violet. I liked it…

First try, it’s not for me. It’s a super clean fragrance with lots of musk and celery, which I wouldn’t buy despite it being lovely. However, the brand is definitely one of my favorites in the niche.
