A fragrance that smells good, nothing more. One of those where you don’t want to waste time choosing in the heat. Refreshing and very citrusy, but I think it’s pricey for what it is. If the 100ml cost as much as the 30ml, it would sell more. I like the house’s concept and their desire to convey sensations from their land. Long live Carner, Barcelona, and the Mediterranean. Miao.
The first thing I thought: wow, it’s exactly like freshly grated lemon peel over a dessert. Pure citrus, nothing synthetic. Well-balanced, potent, and linear. An elegant acidic explosion with relaxed salty touches. It reminds me of Dior’s Eau Sauvage Parfum (or similar fresh Dior scents). Very good for summer, almost edible.
Pleasant scent, a hyper-realistic lemon with marine touches. It reminds me of Hermès’ Citron Noir; although Carner’s shows more quality, I stick with Hermès for the longevity, which far surpasses Carner’s, which on my skin lasts a mere breath.
Hmm, meh, it’s not bad, but in this minimalist lemon line, I stay far behind Dior Homme Cologne. Even though this lasts less, the Dior is superior in quality, naturalness, and citrus freshness, with spectacular musks and cheaper per ml. Plus, it’s 100% unisex.
A good and fresh fragrance for summer. It has nothing to do with Dior Homme Cologne, but then again, nothing does.
Definitely a summer staple, perfect for casual days or everyday wear. Features a super realistic lemon blended with green notes and a musky base.
A very good and fresh fragrance for summer. It doesn’t resemble Dior Homme Cologne at all, but nothing else does either.
Undoubtedly a summer staple for informal occasions or everyday wear. A very realistic lemon with green notes and a musky base that works wonderfully.
At first, it smells like a tequila shot with salt and lemon: acidic and astringent, almost making you salivate. From the start, it’s very marine, and as it dries down, that citrus-aquatic-salty combo blends with a clean musk that dominates on my skin over the florals. Very refreshing, a summer energy boost, and totally unisex. Lasts about 4 hours with soft projection. Probably there are similar options with better value.
The opening is a quite sharp yellow lemon with amber nuances that gradually become more acidic and less floral than the Bo-Bo from the same brand. I own both, and I’d say they aren’t redundant, though they smell and serve the same purpose; perhaps this Salt & Lemon is less special, but it’s great for daily use despite the high price tag. (7/10)
The opening is a sharp yellow lemon with amber nuances that become more acidic and less floral than the Bo-Bo from the same brand. I own both, and while they smell and use similar ingredients, they aren’t redundant; this ‘Sal y Limón’ is slightly less special, ideal for daily wear, though the price is a huge handicap. 7/10.
I’ve always had an on-again, off-again relationship with this house: fragrances that embrace and offer unique sensations, but with performance that often disappoints. Only ‘Tardes’ and ‘Palo Santo’ save the day, boasting that personal bubble projection that’s worth it. ‘Sal y Limón’ left me speechless; don’t look for complexity, it’s informal summer wear, versatile, with a peculiar salty musk that pushes citrus without stealing the spotlight. It takes you to the seaside without the smell of algae, just as Mies said: less is more. Perfect balance and acceptable 5-6 hour longevity. Bravo, Carner.
I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with this house: they create wonderful, hugging scents with unique vibes, but most have disappointing longevity. Of what I’ve tried, only ‘Tardes’ and ‘Palo Santo’ make the cut; with moderate performance, they’re still worth owning. With Salt & Lemon, I was pleasantly surprised—I had low expectations, and ZASSS, I was blown away. Don’t look for complexity; it’s an informal summer fragrance that’s very pleasant, versatile, and while not the freshest on the market, it works everywhere. You’ll smell a peculiar salty musk in the background that pushes a lemony citrus as a supporting player rather than the star, adding freshness while balancing perfectly with that clean, salty musk—that’s the magic. It transports you to the seaside, but watch out: no algae smell, which is what I dislike in aquatic scents. As Mies van der Rohe said, ‘less is more,’ and here everything is in balance. Plus, the longevity is acceptable, around 5-6 hours. Bravo to Carner.
