I like sweet perfumes and coconut. I bought this Soleil Blanc EDP by Tom Ford in April 2024 at Palacio de Hierro looking for something different. I wear it almost daily. I’m very careful with my bottles: I don’t keep boxes or caps, and I destroy those without refills to avoid being upsold. My collection is in a cool drawer out of the sun. I live in the foothills with a fresh climate, maybe that’s why I prefer sweet scents. When I tried it in the store, I already had my mind set on the coconut, but I didn’t realize the opening was floral until I started wearing it. I don’t like the atomizer: the spray is thick and long, not fine like Dior’s. I usually spray it on clothes to make it last longer. The scent is pleasant, cozy, and warm, but very undefined: not citrusy, not herbal, not woody. My nose classifies it as a soft “florambar,” velvety, like you put lotion on. The opening is weak and muted. The coconut smells odd: not tropical or realistic, it seems mixed with pistachio and cardamom. The flowers, especially Ylang Ylang, are noticeable, making it more feminine than I expected. It leaves the skin slightly oily. You won’t smell like a lady, but the projection is minimal and it evaporates in just 15 minutes. The evolution is linear, with few nuances. It lasts 3 or 4 hours on my skin. I wouldn’t wear it above 27°C. It goes well with light casual clothes. I’m not into mixing perfumes, but I tried spraying Dior Homme Cologne on top to cut the florals, though it’s not ideal. Verdict: Pleasant and soft, but expensive, with no projection and poor longevity. I wouldn’t buy it again.

It evokes a worry-free summer. A fresh burst of bergamot and well-spiced with cardamom and pink pepper. It continues with a very floral part: jasmine and creamy neroli, not too sweet thanks to the pepper, with a perfect coconut base. It dries down slightly musky, with a warm sensation of sun-kissed skin bathed by the sea. For me, it’s a morning reading on the beach after a restorative night between white sheets, feeling the jasmine from the balcony. First hour, first line of the beach, pleasant sun, no people or distractions, just me, freedom, fresh sand, and a gentle breeze. If white and light had a smell, it would be this. Elegant, balanced, versatile, subtle, and refined. More feminine unisex. Moderate longevity and low sillage. I wouldn’t buy it for the price, but I like it. I love summer and the beach; it’s one of my favorite things. Smelling this makes me happy and sad at the same time: happy for the memories, sad for living in a cold place without a beach. Right now, I’d go down for a walk along the shore. I envy anyone who has that luck. I would do the same. I would put on the perfume and close my eyes.

Today I’m sharing my experience with Tom Ford Soleil Blanc. I bought it without trying, just based on good reviews and the hope of finding a summery coconut scent. Spoiler: I found no trace of coconut or pistachio. But, not all is lost! Soleil Blanc transports me back to my childhood, to those beach days when my mom would slather me in sunscreen. What memories! That scent makes me think of golden sunsets, warm sand, white flowers, and sea breeze. It’s nostalgic and comforting. The first thing I notice is a strong white floral scent; the ylang-ylang stands out, giving it an intense floral touch. Although the coconut and pistachio are absent, I’m not disappointed. It has its own charm and elegance for those summer afternoons. In summary, it’s not the coconut perfume I expected, but I love how it captures that summery vibe. If you like florals and want to feel like you’re on a paradisiacal beach, it’s worth trying.

My first impressions are of a creamy white floral with various facets; it’s not linear, at least on my skin the scent changed. The top notes were bergamot and cardamom: what a sweet, slightly spicy, citrus-spice combination! A few minutes later I felt the white flowers, especially neroli; the citrus faded and the floral accord remained with creaminess and coconut. In the early middle phase, it reminds me of coconut and oriental flower bronzers, subtle and refined. As it moves to the base, the bronzer smell returns with white flowers and cardamom, a delicate amber touch, and timid jasmine and ylang-ylang appear. I enjoy the final phase more: delicate, exquisite, reminding me of my backyard in summer with the night-blooming flower, whose intoxicating aroma enchants me. It’s rich and for personal enjoyment, though its low projection and price are limiting factors.

Out of this world. I admit I’m acknowledging some personal weaknesses here. I’m addicted to clean-scented fragrances, and this one is, in a differential direction. I love the sunscreen or after-sun smell, which reminds me of absolute happiness at twelve years old. It definitely smells like sunscreen. It’s not masculine, though it passes as unisex. What’s strange is that, with coconut being predominant, I liked it so much, since I normally repel that flavor (I faint at Malibu). But this is a marvel! The coconut is soft, creamy, and very muted by the flowers. The sensation is like just having applied sunscreen all the time. The big downside is the price, inaccessible for me (160 euros for 50 ml is crazy). But it goes straight to desires, because desiring is free.

I’m here to confirm it doesn’t smell like coconut or pistachio. Unfortunately, I have mixed feelings; I thought I’d like it more because of its popularity. It’s a mega hyper-masculine perfume, it smells like a rich man. It has a very high note, perhaps neroli or tonka bean, that makes it seem like a men’s scent. If you want a warm, summery, coconut, sunscreen scent that doesn’t suffocate, I recommend Bvlgari Aqva Divina. Based on the reviews, I thought it would transport me to a paradisiacal beach, but there’s nothing further from it. It can easily be a winter scent given how strong it is. I also don’t feel the projection and sillage last long. These are my first impressions, but if I change my mind, I’ll say so again.

My first Tom Ford, I bought it along with Tobacco Vanille. It was my first fragrance with coconut; I tested it in a decant before buying the bottle. I agree with the other reviews: a luxury summer aroma, creamy coconut with flowers and lots of pistachio. The bergamot doesn’t stand out and doesn’t project much, but the longevity is high. It’s worth it despite the high price; I love it and it’s one of my favorites, but I wouldn’t buy it again. I tried the Eau de Soleil Blanc (EDT), which is more sparkling and citrusy at the start, but it dries down just like the EDP and loses a lot in longevity. Layering it with Allure Homme Blanche by Chanel gives an amazing result.

Soleil Blanc is something I didn’t expect from Tom Ford. It captures the idea of the beach and the shore without recreating it entirely. The bergamot opens fresh and the pistachio decorates it subtly. The florals are present and the coconut adds creaminess. It’s pleasant for everyone. Its evolution shifts to a more feminine profile as it dries down, stabilizing into a uniform register that fades gently. On my skin, it lasted about 6 hours with decent initial intensity. It doesn’t have a huge sillage or overwhelm. It’s pleasant, discreet, creamy, sweet, and intimate for warm climates and sunsets. It was about to get cloying, but it’s perfectly restrained.

I almost died. I bought it blindly looking for that coconut and sunscreen smell I like. At first, only the flowers are felt, many flowers, almost like a room spray type Poet for bathrooms, so the entire opening phase (which lasts quite a while) is much more feminine than unisex. An hour later comes the good part: those cheap, dirty flowers fade away, and the blessed coconut and other notes are felt, smelling like quality sunscreen. In my opinion, it’s not worth the price, not even if you’re a flower fanatic, especially because the longevity, sillage, and projection are a scam considering its price.

What a beautiful fragrance. It’s sophisticated, white floral, extremely creamy, summery, impeccable like its bottle, innovative, unisex, linear, and sexy. I love it, but I won’t buy a bottle because it doesn’t project as I like; it clings to the skin for a long time without any sillage. If it cost less than half the price, I’d buy it, but to pay what it costs, notable performance is essential. The lighter version (Eau de Soleil Blanc) has better projection, but it smells more citrusy, airy, less creamy, and elegant. It’s special, but a Tom Ford hasn’t stolen my heart enough to make me buy it.
Myosotis
It’s a creamy, soft, and pleasant tropical scent where coconut dominates the florals. On my skin, the pistachio note is very noticeable, and I don’t like how it adds a dry, toasted nuance as it evolves. It smells like the beach and a summer breeze, fresh from the bergamot, subtle and luminous, but I wouldn’t pay its price: first because of that pistachio, then due to weak sillage and intensity. It seems nice and elegant, but not luxurious. A more sophisticated tropical option I’ve tried is Ylang in Gold by Micallef, which is also very expensive.

Impressive. A subtlety in this fragrance. A creamy, fresh coconut that gives prominence to wet neroli sweetened by amber. The touch of pink pepper combined with the tonka bean base adds sensuality. It’s like walking at sunset with the sun slowly going down, a fresh breeze, and a great landscape with neroli and jasmine flowers. Longevity +8, projection +2, quality 10/10. I see it for autumn, spring, and summer without excessive heat. For daytime, outdoor walks, lunches, breakfasts, and romantic dates. Rating 9/10.

A good Tom Ford fragrance, but quite more feminine than unisex. Very linear, it’s a sweet coconut, not excessively so, combined with pepper and pistachio. It has nothing to do with Virgin Island Water by Creed, which leans more towards lime and freshness; this Soleil is heavier and stickier. As well noted in reviews, it smells like high-quality sunscreen, but it’s too feminine. If you’re planning to buy it and are a man, keep that in mind, though I don’t mind wearing unisex fragrances that lean feminine.

Creamy freshness for sunny days. Many think it will be sweet or like sunscreen, but it’s not. It’s a clean, fresh creaminess with a leading coconut that doesn’t get cloying. An elegant, tropical, and light blend that saves the day when you’re tired of typical blue fragrances. Ideal for everyday wear, with a youthful and modern vibe, totally unisex. Its development on skin is delicious, inviting closeness, and has that ‘I want more’ effect. Another Tom Ford gem for warm climates. My rating: 9/10.

Tom Ford Soleil Blanc is a classic since 2016, perfect for men and women. It smells like a private beach on the French Riviera: elegant and sophisticated. It starts fresh with bergamot, mandarin, and cardamom, blended with the softness of coconut and the sweetness of almond. In the heart, jasmine and narcissus with amber and cedar. It dries down creamy with vanilla and musk, very sensual and long-lasting. Ideal for daytime or a romantic dinner. I recommend it if you can catch it on sale.
Florcvet
I don’t get the people who say it smells like sunscreen or is like Alien Goddess. It has a refined scent, white flowers with a touch of coconut, but nothing of that Tropic style. Yes, it evokes a paradisiacal beach, but it’s the beach after you’ve showered and are ready to go out. It’s a relaxed daytime fragrance that also works well at night. It’s beautiful, refined without being too formal. The longevity isn’t beastly, but it makes up for it by being a perfect scent.

Soleil Blanc is the ultimate summer glamour: a sensual blend bathed in sunlight, featuring warm amber, yellow, and white florals, tonka bean, and a delicious creamy coconut. My love for it was instant; as it dries down, it becomes comforting, dominated by generous doses of white flowers and ylang-ylang. It smells like a hot afternoon at the beach, like an elegant, sexy girl in a white bikini among tropical flowers floating in the breeze. Perfect for romantic dates.

Before buying it, I read too many reviews and just went for it. What can I say? I thought it was too soft and felt like I wasted my money. I set it aside for a few days with lost hope. I came back to use it one day and OMG! I couldn’t stop smelling my blouse and my forearm; I was in love. I’ve already used half because it’s my favorite and I bought the next bottle because I sense it will be my signature. I simply love it!
Narix
I hate it. First, there’s a coconut that floods everything, then neroli and ylang-ylang (that sticky oriental flower smell). I don’t detect anything else; I just put it on, we’ll have to wait to see how it evolves. I’m a lover of White Suede, but this didn’t work for me. I expected to find some leather or skin notes since it’s by Tom Ford, but there’s nothing. It smells like a pool.
CamilaSol
I tried it on a friend and loved it, but when I bought it, I felt I overpaid for something pretty that doesn’t hypnotize me 100%. Yes, it makes me feel fancy and powerful, and it’s relaxing, but it doesn’t last on my skin as long as I’d like. I have both the EDP and EDT, and the EDT smells better. I only wear it in the heat because it’s for daytime and summer; not at night.
nataliedrm
I had high hopes for this perfume, but either Tom Ford isn’t for me, or Soleil Blanc is too feminine. A soft scent where you can’t really feel the notes, except for a subtle coconut. It doesn’t even smell like coconut sunscreen. It’s like you put lotion on your body. Low longevity and trail. Too expensive for something undefined that doesn’t last.
Tana-ARG
For summer, the opening with coconut, pistachio, and pepper is interesting. It balances the round gourmand with the clean notes of neroli and jasmine. Ideal for cloudy or cold days to evoke radiant moments. On my skin, the gourmand lasts quite a bit, but the trail is minimal. It’s an intimate fragrance, meant to be enjoyed close to the skin.
PinkyKore
My surprise was realizing I’d heard this before in the summer. It’s extremely similar, but with better quality and longevity. It’s like running into an old friend from 2018: Sunray by H&M. Soleil Blanc is more refined, elegant, and rich, with that coconut, jasmine, and summer sunrise vibe. One of my favorites for the beach and vacations.
Isabeltoujours
A perennial on my wishlist. I love it and have tested it many times, but due to the poor longevity on skin and the high price, I’ve never bought the bottle. If I find a deal, I will definitely grab it to add to my TF collection. I already own the Eau de Soleil and love it so much; will its little sibling end up in my hands?
florence
Very summery, warm, evoking the beach, the day, and the sand. It smells like tanning oil, with coconut and tiare flower very present. I imagine a tanned woman in a bikini, barefoot, drinking cold coconut water directly from the fruit, countering the paradisiacal heat. I love it.
hug0mmz
A marvel, a super natural and pleasant flower. Fresh at first, then drying into a rich creaminess. Reminds me of a country day with water, sunscreen, and fresh fruit. Ideal for extreme heat. I consider it unisex; it doesn’t clash on men like many other unisex fragrances do.
Woman in Love
Very pleasant, soft, and enveloping. A bit of citrus, a touch of coconut, white flowers, a hint of pistachio, and a delicious creaminess. A beautiful composition: relaxed, balanced, with that expensive and luxurious air. Longevity and trail are moderate.
Celiaddiaz
I love this perfume: it’s for summer, but not the typical citrusy kind. On my skin, the white florals stand out very subtly, nothing like Gucci Bloom which can become cloying. I don’t detect any coconut, and it’s a pity that its longevity is low.
Caritoasecas
It’s identical to Victoria’s Secret’s ‘Very Sexy’ (2007), just more expensive. I was disappointed because it smells the same. I wouldn’t pay that much for something that smells like tropical sunscreen or a generic designer perfume.
theperfumist
It smells like a wealthy woman stepping off a yacht in Positano. It’s a beautiful scent, but it’s not original and the price is very high. However, it evokes and provokes; if a woman wears it, I’ll think of her all day.
