Not much difference from Lost Cherry. At first, it smells like smoke and leather, giving it more darkness, but once it dries down, it’s almost identical to the other. I’m glad I tested samples first; it’s not worth spending on a bottle if you already have Lost Cherry. A bit disappointing for me.
Of all Tom Ford’s ‘cherries,’ this is the one that caught my attention. Lost Cherry smells like syrup to me, and Electric Cherry feels watery. Here, the cherry is real—neither sweet nor synthetic—backed by a smoky wood. Unlike Guerlain’s Cherry Oud, which I’m testing at the same time, this leans more fruity, with saffron adding a special touch. The longevity and sillage are moderate. Already added to my wishlist.
Of all Tom Ford’s ‘cherries,’ this is the one I liked. Lost Cherry seems too sweet and boozy to me, while Electric Cherry feels too watery. Here, the cherry is neither sweet nor synthetic, accompanied by smoky wood. Unlike Guerlain’s Cherry Oud (which I’m testing at the same time), the fruity notes stand out more here, and the saffron gives it a peculiar combination. Longevity and sillage on my skin are moderate. I’ve added this cherry to my wishlist.
I’ve read countless reviews claiming this lacks originality and complexity compared to other Tom Ford fragrances, but I think they’re exaggerating. To me, it’s the best in the Cherry line and quite distinctive. It smells of cherry with its sweetness and tartness, but the leather, wood, and smoky incense complement it perfectly. It has a dark, masculine character and is ideal for cold weather and night. The only downside is the price. If you can find decants, that’s the better deal, because buying the full bottle… I’m not sure.
I’ve read and seen many criticisms about its lack of originality and complexity compared to other Tom Ford fragrances. However, I must say that the tone of these reviews seems exaggerated. To my taste, it is, by far, the best in Tom Ford’s Cherry line, and I find it quite distinctive compared to others on the market. It has a very characteristic and present cherry scent, with its sweetness and acidity, but beautifully complemented by leather, wood, and a strong note of smoke or incense. This gives it a dark, masculine character, ideal for cold climates and nighttime wear. The only real issue is how extremely expensive the fragrance is. If you can get some decants, I think that’s the better deal, because buying the full bottle… I’m not sure.
Lost Cherry but with a smoky aroma, like putting a cherry in a smoker, or worse, Vick VapoRub with a smoky scent. If you didn’t like Lost Cherry—as I didn’t—skip this without a second thought because it’s even worse.
Lost Cherry but with a smoky aroma, like smoking a cherry or, worse yet, Vick’s syrup with a smoky scent. If you didn’t like Lost Cherry—as I didn’t—skip this without a second thought, because it’s even worse.
Wow, I tried this today at El Corte Inglés. At first, I smelled the cherry, then it almost disappeared, but after two hours… the cherry vanished on my skin and it took a brutal turn. I’m from the south, and it transported me to Marbella, Seville, to my family during Holy Week, to the incense of Holy Week, and to Orthodox incense itself. Some might want to kill me, but it turned into that without a doubt; I usually don’t like that kind of ecclesiastical incense, but I can’t take my nose off my wrist because every few minutes that scent hits me and transports me home. I’m a big student of the subconscious, and I’m constantly surprised by what we retain; for it, time and space don’t exist. Would I buy it? At that price and to smell like Orthodox incense, it doesn’t match my needs, but the experience was beautiful, and the potency, sillage, and longevity suggest it’s a powerhouse.
Wow! Everything I didn’t like about Lost Cherry, I love in this one. Smoky cherry with leather; it reminds me of Room 1015’s Cherry Punk (my signature scent). It’s smoky and fruity but not childish. Dark, gothic, and adult—perfect for winter, though usable if you don’t over-spray. Totally unisex, although I believe all perfumes are, in this case, everyone agrees. The evolution isn’t incredible, but it’s the best part. The smoky leather stands out more as the fruity notes fade over time. Gender: Unisex. Age: 18+. Longevity: 9/10. Sillage: 6/10. Rating: 9/10.
To me, the opening is a blast of cherries, but within seconds, saffron takes over, and as minutes pass, the smoke gains strength with woody notes. I had read countless reviews and never imagined the saffron; it was a total surprise. It’s a perfume that, as others have said, doesn’t pull any punches compared to other fragrances from the house.
Wow! Everything I didn’t like about Lost Cherry, I love here. Smoked cherry with leather… it reminds me a bit of Room 1015’s Cherry Punk (my signature). It’s smoky and fruity but not childish (something that often happens with fruit scents). Dark, gothic, and adult—more for winter, but usable if you don’t overdo the sprays. Totally unisex, though I believe all perfumes are, and everyone agrees on this one. The evolution isn’t incredible, but honestly, I think it’s the best. The smoky leather becomes more noticeable than the fruity notes as time goes on. Gender: Unisex. Age: 18+. Longevity: 9/10. Sillage: 6/10. Rating: 9/10.
Don’t buy this if you don’t like smoke. It smells like Lost Cherry but with leather and a ton of smoke. Personally, I don’t enjoy that note; I thought the leather and cherry would dominate, but it smells like burnt paper, not winter woods. I see it as very mature and masculine. If you’re looking for fresh or sweet scents, this isn’t for you. The cherry moves away from gourmand territory and touches on woody, smoky, and leathery grounds. I understand the target audience and it’s a great fragrance, but ugh, I just don’t get it.
Tom Ford’s Cherry Smoke: not for everyone. It’s not a ‘pretty’ perfume; it’s bizarre. It blends suggestive sweetness with a backdrop of excess and dark desires. It’s for someone who wants to look sophisticated, extravagant, and unconventional. More than cherries, leather, and smoke, it feels like a battle between seduction, luxury, and vices. A subliminal message that makes you feel emotions without realizing it. It’s for a select audience and special occasions. For those seeking unusual experiences and seeing the world differently. It smells like passion, power, and control. Personally, I love it, but it’s not versatile or meant to please everyone. I enjoy it on my own. I imagine wearing it at night in winter, with candles and Soda Stereo music. Scent: 9. Projection: 2 hours. Longevity: 7 hours. Do not buy blind.
Cherry Smoke by Tom Ford: It’s not for everyone. It’s not a ‘pretty’ perfume; it’s something bizarre that blends suggestive sweetness with a backdrop of excess and dark desires. It’s a daring fragrance that evokes something… ultimately, it’s for those who want to show off as sophisticated, extravagant, and unconventional. It’s much more than just cherries, leather, and smoke; it feels like a battle between seduction, luxury, and vices. A hidden message that leads us to experience emotions without realizing it. It’s a rare fragrance, not for the masses, but for a select audience and special occasions. For those who see the world differently and understand sensations like passion, power, control, and dominance. Personally, I love it, but it’s not very versatile and might not get many compliments. I enjoy wearing it for myself. Although I don’t have the ideal occasion yet, I know it will be at night, at a candlelit dinner with Soda Stereo playing. Scent: 9. Projection: 2 hours. Longevity: 7 hours. Not a blind buy.
The best cherry perfume ever 🔥🔥🔥 I hadn’t enjoyed a fragrance in a long time until today with this masterpiece. I can’t stop smelling myself; it’s addictive. Fragrances don’t have a gender, but this one is totally unisex and looks great on men or women. I can’t list the notes because this symphony has me lost, but the cherry is very noticeable in every stage. It’s not sweet; it’s a dark cherry with leather and woods. It’s smoky cherry 🔥.
The best perfume with a cherry note 🔥🔥🔥. I haven’t enjoyed an aroma like this in ages, and today with this work of art, I couldn’t stop sniffing myself. It’s super addictive. Although perfumes don’t have a gender, this is totally unisex—it looks great on men and women. I can’t list the notes because this symphony has me a bit lost, but the cherry is very noticeable in every stage. It’s not sweet; it’s a dark cherry with leather and woods. It’s a smoky cherry 🔥.
I’ve been testing this Tom Ford decant for months, and today I finally smelled it. As always, the house never fails to impress; here, it opens with an acidic, wild, almost fermented cherry. Immediately, subtle leather, olive, and myrtle wrap around it, until the smoke takes center stage alongside the fruit, drying out mysteriously and clinging to the skin. I’m not repulsed, but it’s hard to wear and I’m not sure when to use it: a club night, a date, or work? The blend feels esoteric, like black magic or cough syrup. If you’re a wizard, tarot reader, shaman, or cult leader, this is for you. For now, I’m not buying it; daily wear seems very unlikely. Scent: 7, Versatility: 2, Longevity: 9, Projection: 7.
Cherry Smoke by Tom Ford is pure darkness, the gothic and smoky side of Lost Cherry. The opening is an intense sweetness with lots of smoke, a real cherry but with a dark character. As it dries, the smoke and a bitter cherry take over without being cloying, with blackberry adding a mysterious, dark fruity touch. It’s rich, extravagant, and hard to get a hold of; it smells like slow-burned black cherry. If you don’t like smoke or dark scents, this isn’t for you. It’s tempting, seductive, and personal, perfect for a cold night with a coat and city lights, totally unisex. Longevity is average for the high price and projection is moderate, an intimate experience. Incredible concept, almost zero versatility, and an outrageous price. Rating: 6.1/10.
