Descripción

Azzaro Solarissimo Favignana is an oriental fougère fragrance for men. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by perfumer Philippe Romano. In its opening, the scent unfolds with lemon, sour lime, sugar, and sage; the heart reveals a blend of rum, ginger, and vanilla; while the base settles on amber, Chinese cedar, and white flower tobacco.

Nice fragrance. From start to finish, it smells like sugarcane, starting with orange and evolving into a tobacco-floral blend. Good longevity (8/10) and sillage (7/10). Lasts about 8/10. Here in Argentina, perfumes have gotten pricey, averaging around $100. I got this 75 ml bottle for $31 USD, which is a great value. Hope this review helps, aiming to be as objective as possible. Thanks and greetings from Argentina to all perfume lovers.

  • Out of the entire Solarissimo line, this is definitely the best for me. It smells intensely of sugar, giving it a sweet, almost gourmand vibe that you rarely find; in my case, not being an expert, I’d only seen that in Thierry Mugler perfumes. A 10/10 on longevity and sillage; it’s not intrusive and doesn’t cloy like some Mugler scents 😅. It’s made for summer. I highly recommend it.

Sweet and delicious. Starts with a soapy opening that gives way to sugar, creating something delightful with the rum and vanilla. As it dries, the wood and amber really come through. The lemon from the start lingers, but softened with a mild, typical citrus zing—calm and not overpowering. Very pleasant. For those who try it, I’d say this Favignana dry down smells like a D&G perfume. Basically, it’s a ‘The One’ with a lemon twist and a bit more amber and cedar at the end.

Blind buy, what can you do? It wasn’t even in the store or expected. I searched the notes and grabbed it for 12€, so it wasn’t a huge risk, but what a find, wtf! I’m head over heels: sugar, rum, and amber are the most prominent, followed by vanilla. Perfect for anyone who can’t handle citrus or aquatic notes in the summer. The projection isn’t invasive; if it were, there would be a problem, but it’s not annoying and the longevity is more than acceptable, about 6 solid hours.
