I bought it to gift to a friend for his birthday. He wore it the same day and a woman said it smelled like a cat, lol, I died of embarrassment… it’s a spicy, patchouli, and leather scent for informal use… my friend wears it to work in the afternoons and it still smells strong at night 🙂
Sporty freshness, tranquility, and security all at once.
A super elegant and sporty scent.
SPORTY FRESHNESS, CALM, AND SECURITY ALL AT ONCE
Very distinctive aroma. As a collector, I want it. I liked it. Zeke is right, and Wilmito is partially right too, although that ‘cat’ note might be the blend of pepper with amber notes, I’m not sure. It reminded me of Costume National Homme for moments.
Smells elegant yet informal at the same time; that mix will never leave you looking bad.
Definitely, much later on, I realized it’s a delightful fragrance. If you’ve tried spiced rums like Captain Morgan or Kraken, this scent is very similar to that deliciousness. It’s 8 AM here in Mexico and I applied it last night at 9 PM; it’s been 11 hours and I can still detect it, especially those delicious spicy notes. Highly recommended, it’ll make you noticed. Cheers.
Personally, I tried it in a store and loved it; I bought it two months ago and still have it, but it doesn’t smell on me like I’d like. Did I buy a knockoff, or is my skin just not retaining it? I can’t think of any other explanation. Does this happen to others too? NOTE: my pH is neutral and all my perfumes have good longevity. Cheers.
Another beast this Guess is. Perfect for casual outings or even something dressier. As they say here, it’ll never leave you disappointed. 9/10, another standout for this Guess.
Another beast mode from Guess. It’s the perfect candidate for anything from casual to semi-formal. As they say here, it’ll never leave you unsatisfied. 9/10, another standout.
The dry-down is a 10; it lasts over 10 hours with an incredible trail, and women absolutely love it. 100% recommended.
Guess by Marciano. Clean, safe, fresh, sweet. The best part is the dry down; every hour I feel the scent changes, as if you were using a different perfume. Excellent for work or even better, for a meeting or interview, it conveys security and cleanliness without being pretentious. It’s versatile, has good longevity, and moderate sillage. The bottle is the most beautiful I’ve seen, and the price is a real joke.
It’s a fragrance that dares to be in the ‘cost-benefit’ group, long-lasting, projects personality, it’s not cloying, it’s subtle. As it dries, I perceive a sweet scent similar to a very light honey. Longevity averages about 6-7 hours (on my skin). Recommended if you’re looking for a cheap perfume with a good aroma and performance. I’d say age +30.
How do I start reviewing Marciano by Guess? I don’t want to sound careless with this curious perfume. The opening is interesting because it reminds me of a woody scent with orange, almost like a rustic piece of fine wood freshly cleaned with sweet orange spray. In the heart, there’s a sensation like medicine, an orange dental anesthetic with spices, especially pepper and clove. Then, as it dries, you notice a sober woody-musk scent, very serious and formal; it doesn’t smell bad, but… it’s so correct and solemn that it would be the perfect perfume for a funeral.

I’m a perfume seller and I’m currently using this; tonight I decided to try it and it turns out quite good in terms of cost-benefit. I got along with it well and give it the thumbs up. I can’t talk about the ingredients like the professionals on the site do, whom I admire for their ability to argue. For me, it’s an honor to follow this page and all its participants.
I bought it today… leather… fresh… that was my first impression… but it smells sweet and warm at the same time… the sales assistant offered it to me and said someone had gifted it to her and it smelled delicious… so I swapped a Carven vetiver (which I was about to buy and was holding) for this Guess… and well, the salesperson was right, I liked its scent.
Excuse me, JERRY DRAKE, where did you see that this fragrance has a ‘frozen tonic’ note? Honestly, I’ve never heard of it. And the site here doesn’t mention it either. If it exists, I share with you that it’s quite unusual…
Hi Lalo. On perfumaniacos.com they say that Guess by Marciano for Men has, among others, that very distinct note. Anyway, it’s a fine fragrance; pity that in my case the longevity is short. Best regards.
It seems like a soft and fresh scent, but a bit poor in longevity, at least on my skin. It’s a blend of fruity and spicy notes with an elegant touch. It goes very well for everyday wear or after the gym, leaving you fresh and clean. Longevity ranges between 2 and 3 hours, and the sillage is soft-moderate. The bottle is simple but striking and highlights the frozen tonic note, which is rare. Good value for money.
I smelled this a few months ago, and of course, it’s similar to Halloween Man, haha.
I have this, and the first thing that hits you is dulce de leche—the caramel color with a nut on top. Then comes the leather and amber, but without losing that sweetness. I think a woman could easily wear it. It’s my opinion, but I’ve seen very different comments about this scent before.
My dad owns this, and the first thing I smell is dulce de leche, like that caramel-colored stuff with a nut on top. Then comes the leather and amber, but without losing that sweetness. I think a woman could easily wear it, though that’s just my take; from what I’ve seen in other reviews, this fragrance sparks very mixed opinions.
This smells like parsley and orange blossom. It’s fresh and summery but doesn’t last at all, at most an hour. I bought it for $12 and literally bathe in it (15 sprays to make it last half an hour longer).
I absolutely loved it. It’s subtle but has just the right punch to not go unnoticed. Reminds me of Davidoff Horizon Extreme, which is my favorite. The dry-down is spectacular: wood, wood, and more wood, with a very soft aldehydic note that works beautifully.
I loved it. It’s discreet but with just the right strength to not go unnoticed. It reminds me a bit of Davidoff Horizon Extreme, which I love. The dry down is spectacular. Wood, wood, and more wood, with a very smooth, soft note that works great.
I bought it out of curiosity and it became one of my all-time favorites. On me, it lasts from at least 6:30 AM until the afternoon. On clothes and the neck, the final sweet woody notes prevail. This cheap men’s fragrance is an absolute bomb to have. I didn’t finish the first bottle and already had the new one saved. For the price, it’s impressive; the stages are rich, and you’ll always smell like a man. At night for going out, it’s strong at the start, but I prefer sweet and citrusy fragrances at night since they attract so much attention. I’ve saved clothes in the closet, and when I put them on again, the final sweet note feels delicious. Edit: It’s a fragrance that gets compliments and is undoubtedly one of my best. I’ll soon have to buy another bottle because I love it. Its trail is a bit more than moderate but not offensive. On skin, it doesn’t last long, but if you apply it for a date, do it well in advance so you don’t overwhelm. On clothes, it does beastly work for 6-7 hours at 34°-36°C. The opening is strong and not for those who like sweet openings. Perfect for young people wanting to shine with power and for those over 30 to smell like hierarchy.
A very soft fragrance. A smoothed-out opening blended with amber, leaving a sweet, woody scent clinging to your skin, furnished with minimal floral touches. I apply several sprays and still barely smell it myself, though I’ve received compliments in the first few hours. Even though I wouldn’t buy it again despite the excellent price… I just keep it in my collection and apply it occasionally because it’s one of those perfumes meant for cold and autumn, but since they’re so soft, you can wear them daily or in the heat and feel those ‘strong notes’ very cozy. I always try to apply perfume directly to my skin so you can feel the true essence of the fragrance.
I work at a perfume distributor and noticed people started ordering it right after it arrived, so I decided to buy it blind. The price was good at $406 MXN, but it ultimately didn’t work for me; after a few minutes, the scent reminded me of old clones someone had gifted me years ago, and then it started smelling like insecticide. I wouldn’t buy it again despite the price and the nice bottle—in fact, I’ll offer it to a friend who has more ‘distinguished’ tastes.

In my case, it’s subjective because it was a fragrance I used during a euphoric moment and it reminds me of my adolescence. It lasts very little, but nothing a few dozen sprays can’t fix to go in beast mode and get 8-10 hours out of it. I think it’s still 100% worth it. Great fragrance.
Unlike many who love it, this fragrance didn’t work for me on my skin. The first time I tried it, I smelled a heavy amber note I didn’t like, and the orange was very synthetic, as if it smelled like someone much older. I gave it a second and third chance, but it still doesn’t fully appeal to me. It has a great price, but the longevity is scarce. I’m not sure if it’s my pH or if I got a counterfeit, but I had a pretty unpleasant experience.
Unlike many who love it, this didn’t work for me as it smelled on my skin. The first time, I got a lot of amber and didn’t like it, and the orange was very synthetic, sounding like it belonged to someone much older. I gave it a second and third try, but it just never clicked. It has a great price, but the longevity is a bit weak. I’m not sure if it’s my pH or if I got a clone, but I had a pretty unpleasant experience.
I was disappointed by the scent; it turned out to be complicated despite several expert reviews with good ratings, and it wasn’t what I expected given my high expectations for this perfume.
I bought it blind and like the fragrance, but I don’t use it much despite enjoying it; it sounds very synthetic to me. If you want to gift it to a friend or family member, don’t hesitate, as the price is very low and the scent is decent. I’d give it a 6.5/10.
It was one of my first affordable perfumes, and I loved it from the start; I’ve already used three bottles and gifted one to my dad, who absolutely adores it. Although it has a vintage touch, that blend of wood, spices, and leather is incredible—like a new mahogany cabinet filled with leather goods. Barely sweet, very masculine, and distinctly different from what smells popular today. For me, alongside Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui, Quorum Silver, and Halston Z14, it’s a true bargain jewel.
