It’s not unpleasant, but it was a disappointment and I gifted it away. The chocolate scent is subtle and pleasant, and the floral and fruity notes aren’t bothersome, but there’s a powdery touch that, in my opinion, makes it a bit vulgar. Strong notes like patchouli, musk, and vanilla appear very faint in a composition that promised opulence. Notorious has poor longevity and a weak sillage. It resembles many perfumes that flood the stores… Naming similar ones would be pointless.
I bought it fresh out as a Christmas gift for my mother; it cost around 1200 pesos, quite expensive. My mother, true to her Dior ways, didn’t like it, so I kept it. It’s quite pleasant, but if you overuse it, it becomes heavy. I only have a few drops left. It brings me nostalgia, though I wouldn’t buy it again. I’d give it 7 out of 10.
I bought it right when it launched as a Christmas gift for my mom; it cost around 1200 pesos, quite expensive. True to her Dior loyalty, my mom didn’t like it, so I ended up keeping it. It’s a feminine fragrance, but I used to love it and wore it for a while. It worked really well for me, and I always received compliments on the scent.

Floral, vanilla, and patchouli with a subtle touch of pink pepper that balances everything and adds a woody feel. The vanilla is gourmet-like, like a creamy ice cream, not excessively sweet. To my nose, the flowers dominate: carnation with a citrusy opening and powdery peonies as it dries. It feels like a creamy lipstick. It’s rare, fresh in the heat and sweet in the cold, like a good cup of tea. It’s coquettish and chic, easy to wear and adaptable to any weather. It evokes simple, cheerful, affectionate, and well-groomed women. It’s lovely, pleasant, and rarely off-putting.
Even though it’s summer, I really craved Notorious today. I owned it years ago, but my mom smelled it and asked me to gift it to her, so I missed it terribly. Last year, I finally got it at a clearance price from a cosmetics store that closed down in Chile. I feel lucky because it’s a spicy, sweet floral that isn’t overly sugary—perfect for heat without being tiring. It has a subtle sillage and lasts over 6 hours. Maybe it’s similar to others, but the carnation gives it a retro vibe I enjoy. I don’t detect the blackcurrant, but there’s something orange-like at the start, even though Fragrantica doesn’t list it. The base of vanilla and patchouli provides a comforting sweetness. It doesn’t stand out, it’s pleasant, and fits my personality. If you’re looking for something flashy, this might be boring, but if you want something sweet, discreet, and versatile, I recommend it.

Notorious is gorgeous, feminine, and elegant. The carnation gives it a vintage touch that I absolutely love—sweet, but nothing like those cloying modern scents. It’s discontinued, but a person I adore gifted me a 50ml bottle they found at a vintage perfumerie. I feel so happy and can’t wait to use it up this spring.
