  • Matifragance

Ideal for after a summer shower, but I don’t think it’s suitable for going out due to its low longevity on the skin. Great scent and freshness, a 5 out of 10.

  • What a rich fragrance! If it had more longevity, it would be amazing, but for the price, it does well. It’s very fresh, herbal, and truly summery. I recommend it 100%.

  • I remember when I was a teenager I used to steal a bit of this fragrance from my dad. Now I have it, and I think it doesn’t quite fit my image, but I still received a compliment I’ll never forget. It was when I was in the army; we were all in formation when the lieutenant (very pretty, by the way) said out loud, ‘Who’s wearing Banderas Mediterranean?’ I thought I’d get called out for wearing perfume when no one else was, so I said, ‘At ease, Lieutenant.’ She looked at me, came closer, shook her head in a gesture like saying ‘yes’ with a slight smile, and we continued with the activities. From that day on, I understood that being perfumed makes a difference among the rest; there were about 30 of us, and she already had the scent of Mediterranean in her subconscious. Maybe I reminded her of someone close, but what I’m sure of is that she liked the scent of this perfume so much that she took the doubt out of who was wearing it and asked. That’s why, and because of more people, always smell good and make a difference; it can bring us very good moments.

  • I remember it was my older brother’s signature fragrance for several years. I almost forgot how much I loved it! So fresh, slightly herbaceous, and with a spicy touch, it makes me think of summer. In a man dressed in a short-sleeve shirt, jeans, and sneakers, just out of the shower on a sunny morning. I thought it was discontinued until a couple of days ago, when I saw that little bottle with its somewhat funny cap. It caught my attention, and I sprayed a bit on my wrist: an authentic déjà vu! It’s so special to me that just perceiving it on someone makes me automatically turn my head.

  • By far, it’s one of the best budget perfumes. It has a very original scent, it doesn’t resemble anything generic, and it doesn’t try to mimic overly common fragrances. This smells exclusive, fresh, and citrusy. I think the citrus notes it contains last very well until the end. As for longevity and projection: very acceptable longevity of about 6 hours, and the projection is also very good. An ideal perfume for summer and very hot days. Scent: 10/10, Longevity: 7/10, Projection: 7/10, Price: 20/10 🤣 I give it a well-deserved 8/10.

  • It’s a simple, unpretentious fragrance that smells good and does its job moderately well, but it stays in limbo; it doesn’t stand out or drive you crazy. It’s just another of those fresh, aromatic market scents that go unnoticed. There are definitely better things to try, and you shouldn’t settle for such a lack of variety.

What a rich creation by Mr. Banderas! Refreshing, simple, perfect for those moments of relaxation at home or for going for a walk, all this at a laughable price. You can easily recognize the bergamot and vetiver. Longevity? Enough, don’t ask for miracles at this price, although there aren’t many fragrances costing triple that last less. In short, a gem! Greetings from Argentina.

Banderas Mediterranean is literally that: it smells like the Mediterranean. Freshness and bergamot citrus with that distinct spicy, woody note. Its longevity and projection are average. To me, it smells like a mature, informal, relaxed man, as if he’s in the countryside reading something. It’s a pleasant, simple, and affordable fragrance that doesn’t seem like what it is. In terms of quality-to-price, I think it deserves a spot in my wardrobe.

I love Banderas Mediterranean. I got to know it through my dad, who’s worn it for a while, and a few days ago I bought it to use daily at work. Its longevity and projection aren’t huge, but they fit the price perfectly.

  • It has a subtle opening, but a few minutes later it reveals its true scent: a soft, delicate citrus with a spicy touch that gives it a pleasant soapy vibe. It’s fresh and evokes good feelings, though I feel it lacks a bit of spark and power; maybe more sprays would fix that. It’s ideal for sunny days or work, and the longevity is good. I paid $12 for 100 ml and it seems like a steal, considering there are more expensive perfumes that don’t smell better.

  • I found it on sale for 20 dollars in a 200ml bottle. Smells like someone in their mid-30s. Launched almost 20 years ago, I think it’s a bit outdated, but it’s not bad; it suits older people better (doesn’t smell old). Lasts 4-5 hours (maybe more if over-applied), but ultimately it’s only noticeable close to the skin. For the low price, the longevity is acceptable. The initial scent didn’t please me much (very herbal), but after an hour it becomes pleasant. Ideal for summer, spring, and autumn in casual situations, everyday wear, or work.

  • Very nice, smells like a pine forest. I think it’s a classic, versatile, and cozy. I love it when my boyfriend wears it. Affordable and good performance.

  • Fresh, with a spicy kick from ginger and pepper, and a hint of pine, non-intrusive. Simply correct. Ideal for home and, eventually, the office. Spring-like? Yes. Blind buy? Yes, perfect for a gift. Worth the price? Also yes.

  • Banderas’ Mediterranean could be the work of an alchemist who, after sailing the Pacific, returns home seeking simplicity. Year 2001: twenty years later, the melody of a Mediterranean heart. Bold to say all past times were better; these colognes, though cheap, hold keys to humble childhoods. Sadly, it’s no longer in supermarkets, like a ship sailing away and disappearing. It doesn’t share that closeness with the Poseidon saga, full of sunken ships of no interest. Mediterranean belongs to a shipwrecked time, but using it lets us recover the splendor and affection of a life that left us orphaned of beauty. All that remains is the music: you can find it online today and wrap yourself in happiness. I feel the watered lawn, the village at dawn, the carpentry shop that was my temple, childhood walks… my father’s words about the kite: “hold the string tight and don’t let go.” I never flew one again. The attempt would shatter the memory if he weren’t with me. But Mediterranean takes me to a safe place in my life’s album, as the captain of my nostalgia; I feel the wind and hear my dog’s paws kicking up dust as we raised the kite-sail at dusk.

I liked Antonio Banderas’ Mediterranean for its simplicity. Sometimes you don’t need to overcomplicate things to smell good. It’s citrusy and spicy: opens with ginger, bergamot, and pepper. As it dries down, musk and amber give a light sweetness. A classic scent that projects cleanliness and a serious but kind gentleman image. I’ve received compliments. I suppose it’s already discontinued, what a shame. Performance is average (5-6 hours), low projection but it clings well to clothes. Daytime wear, ideal for spring/summer and the office. Excellent quality/price and gets good reactions.

  • zmjuanpablo

This smells strong and is cheap. To be honest, I associate it with people who don’t wear perfume or were gifted it and don’t know what to do with it. I only recommend it for starting a collection, then realizing there are better options. Fortunately, it’s very affordable.

  • Mr. Baskerville

Simple and effective. A 200ml bottle for 15 euros in Spain today is cheap. Maybe it’s the younger brother of Adolfo Domínguez’s Agua Fresca, but it’s not a vulgar clone; it’s well-thought-out and smells great in the heat. Opens with bergamot and moves to vetiver with a spicy touch, very pleasant. Perfect for a white shirt after a shower in summer. Needs reapplication after a few hours, but worth it for the price.

  • Fragranticman

A true classic: simple, fresh, and clean. Perfection lies in its simplicity. Ideal for everyday wear—school, college, beach, or work—but nothing for formal events. Very versatile and charming without smelling like anything else. Reminds me of Coolwater, Nautica, or Aqua Quorum. Smells like pine and fresh grass. Humble but not bad; I’d rather wear this than those expensive niche fragrances that smell like urine or stagnant water. For the price, 8/10.

  • Felipe_fotografo

In my opinion, this is a good perfume for everyday use in warm seasons, as it’s a fresh fragrance at a very accessible price. Not recommended for special occasions. As people ask here, at least in Chile, it’s still available at Mediterráneo, but it might be discontinued in other countries since it’s been around for years, and I imagine Antonio Banderas is already developing his top-tier fragrances like Icon.

  • Pleasant scent. Perfect when you don’t know what to wear and need to head to the supermarket, the park, or just go for a walk. Great for hot days and surprisingly good performance. A clean, fresh aroma that doesn’t bother anyone… and a solid option to start your collection. Rating: 7/10.

  • You can’t get it in Argentina and many people hate it, but I like it. It’s citrusy and spicy, you can really smell the bergamot, and it’s very fresh. Perfect for spring and summer, great for daily wear. Projection is average, don’t expect anything special. While it does have a hint of Adolfo Domínguez Agua Fresca, don’t expect it to be an exact clone.

  • QuePajaLoko

Honestly, this perfume isn’t very charming. The main notes are ginger, pepper, and bergamot. The longevity is somewhat weak, so it’s better for wearing at home or running errands. The price is decent ($15 for 200ml), but it’s not for someone young (I’d go with Nautica Voyage in that case).

  • Nocturno998

It was my second fragrance after Blue Seduction. It has a rich, green, and spicy scent. A classic. I loved it back in high school, but now it feels very mature on me. Good price.

  • My sisters and I hate this fragrance, but okay, I wore it for 1 year while I was in college, and during that entire period, I only got one compliment on this scent from a girl who was hitting on me. Don’t buy this fragrance if you don’t want to smell like an old, bad-taste gentleman; if you really want something citrusy with ginger, buy Jean Lowe Immortal instead.

  • It’s similar to ‘Aqua Brava’; they gave it to me and it’s okay, I just don’t know in what situations to use it because it’s ‘meh’, but a gift horse doesn’t look at its teeth 🙂

  • pathreecio

Ladies and gentlemen, please stop gifting this fragrance to teenagers; they don’t know how unpleasant it is to smell like a kid with a forty-something-fifty-something vibe. Now seriously, it’s the definition of fresh woody aroma, but it doesn’t evolve, and to make it last more than 5 hours, you’d have to bathe in it. Personally, it reminds me of when I was a kid, and recalling the past, I only received compliments from my mother, my aunts, and women in general.

  • Smells like grandpa. It’s lemon, lemon, a bit of wood, alcohol, and more lemon. No evolution and no longevity. It did have its hype back in the day. Only good for smelling ‘fresh’ and that’s it. For tastes that are a bit retro.

  • Super citrusy, fresh, with an oud touch that makes it elegant. Undoubtedly a classic worthy of collection and a good option for its scent and price. While it’s not a longevity beast, especially on sunny days, it delivers on its promises.

  • Ricardo-powa

What more do they want? It’s a summer perfume, musky with bergamot, just like 90% of the ones from that era. Impossible for it to last 8 hours! Rosendo Mateu made it, but marketers are so clueless they don’t even care before criticizing it 🤙 KEEP PAYING FOR BRANDS, KEEP WATCHING YOUTUBE AND REPEATING ONLY THAT 🫶 WITH LOVE

  • It was a Christmas gift I liked. Short longevity, max 3-4 hours, and almost no sillage. But it’s fresh for Chile’s dry summer.

  • STGO.DECANT

My father-in-law always wears it. I took just 3ml from his bottle because I like the scent. I wouldn’t buy it myself because the longevity is very short. Maybe the early batches were more potent, but I can’t recommend it due to poor performance. If it lasted 8-10 hours, it would be a safe buy.

  • javier cabeza de perfume

Rich at first, but dries down to dirt—literally. Well-made, lasts 6-8 hours, and has good projection. I’d recommend it if you’re new to perfumery; it’s not a blind buy, but worth it for that unique earthy scent.

  • Honestly, it smells great and is special for hot days, but the reality is it lasts max 30 minutes to an hour. It literally disappears from the skin like I never applied anything. That’s unacceptable for this type of perfume, even if it’s cheap.
