A fairly citrusy perfume, slightly spiced, perfect for adding a cool breeze to a hot day… it’s sort of like a cousin to CK One.
Very refreshing, energizing, motivating, and clean. Short longevity, but worth it.
Just as fresh when you put it on, just as fresh when you leave… it goes off like a shot.
What a beautiful scent—very stimulating, cheerful, youthful yet elegant. It reflects a young person (in age or attitude) who is optimistic and funny but well-dressed. By ‘well-dressed’ I don’t mean a suit; I mean well-coordinated, balanced, and with a certain playfulness (not for someone dressed sloppily, nor punk, goth, or grunge). It’s for going out comfortably, relaxed, but looking good. It has something Zen; the citrus blend feels quite prominent. I don’t detect the woody notes at all, but I do smell the petit grain, which gives a subtle herbal touch. The downside: its weak longevity. It almost seems like a fragrance for sports or post-gym wear; if it had more punch, it would be a bestseller. Still, it’s worth trying. The price is quite reasonable.
I have an old bottle that I kept in a drawer because a few years ago I didn’t think much of it, finding it too simple: just a herbal pine aroma. Back then I thought… but today, after smelling so many trendy, bland scents, laundry detergent, and soap notes without any charm—like Dior Sauvage and all its clones, plus all the other soap-smelling ones (Cool Water, Versace Pour Homme, etc.)—I smelled this fragrance again, and it seems really good. A lovely fresh green aroma with a citrus touch, much better than the ones mentioned above. It’s like Aqua di Giò Profondo without the marine notes (seaweed and all that ocean smell they’ve imposed on us, which I find unpleasant). So, I don’t know if it’s because we’re being sold bad fragrances and we’ve gotten used to it (like reggaeton in the music scene) that I now find this scent very good, and in fact, I’m using it daily. Unfortunately, it seems they’ve discontinued it, so this review stands just as a testimonial, haha. But if you can find it, try it. Cheers!
MONSIEUR is a very light EDT; you can hardly smell it after an hour. It’s super fresh and citrusy, though it does smell quite similar to Mugler Cologne, honestly. I wear it in the morning, spray it on my neck and arms, and feel super clean and fresh because this scent gives off a vibe of freshness, cleanliness, and calm. It was a gift from my partner, who knows I love Gaultier, but I really like it—it’s very pleasant. The bottle is gorgeous. I love the simplicity of this bottle; it’s just elegant. Clear glass that lets you see the green fragrance liquid, evoking its freshness. There’s a brick pattern printed on the bottle, inspired by the walls of the Parisian metro.
Beautiful perfume, smells like just out of the shower, but it’s a shame it doesn’t last longer and isn’t produced in larger quantities.
What a cool perfume! Smells like just out of the shower. It’s a shame it doesn’t last longer or come in larger quantities.
