Descripción
Malbec Magnetic by O Boticário is a woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by Leandro Petit, Marion Costero, and Hernan Fígoli. The top notes unfold with grapes, apple, pink pepper, citrus, cardamom, and cypress; the heart reveals mineral notes, guaiac wood, cedar, rose, sandalwood, patchouli, cashmere, green notes, nutmeg, and juniper; while the base notes complete the olfactory pyramid with vanilla, musk, amber, vetiver, and olibanum frankincense.

To me, it smells like a mix between Invictus and 212 VIP.
I have mixed feelings. The first spray excited me, very pleasant. But as always, I let it settle for a few hours. At first, I sensed rich grapes, but then it changed and started to resemble Montblanc Individuel, and finally JPG Le Male. I never liked those two, so I didn’t buy it. Others will love that legendary JPG scent, so they’ll likely love this Malbec too. Maybe it would change on a different pH. It disappointed me.
Got it blind based on the hype in my area and I’m not regretting it, even though it’s not my favorite scent. At first, it smells like a grape soda, which didn’t win me over. After 15 minutes, the patchouli and a well-crafted wood note take over, becoming powdery and reminiscent (without copying) of Montblanc’s Starwalker. The longevity is brutal—8-9 hours with just 4 sprays. Given the price and that it’s a catalog item, the quality is a huge surprise. Cheers!
I bought it after a review by Alejandro Perfumes; it was hard to find in Spain, but I snagged it at miperfumeria.com. I love the scent from the first spray to the dry down. Be careful with the spray, because two sprays fill the whole room. It’s by Alberto Morillas—maximum quality at a great price.
It lives up to its name; it’s magnetic. Even though I usually don’t like this type of fragrance, it has an attractive and fairly masculine aroma. It reminds me of Chanel’s Antaeus, but more citrusy and less sophisticated. The patchouli is the star here, giving it that masculine vibe. The amber notes make it feel more youthful than others with similar ingredients. What I don’t like is the citrus and pine; they take away its character and make it blend in with others. It’s good for occasional use, lasts well, and is aromatic. Don’t go over 3 sprays or the green notes will get heavy. It works for formal night outings, I think it suits a man over 30.
I bought it after a review by Alejandro Perfumes; it was hard to find in Spain, but I got it at miperfumería.com. I love the scent from the opening to the dry down. Be careful with the sprays; two fills a room. The nose is by Morillas, maximum quality at a great price.
It’s a very pleasant fragrance that gets compliments; you can tell the fruity notes are there. It doesn’t remind me of One Million or Invictus like people say. Excellent performance; it lasts and projects well. Quality expected for the price. Projection: 9/10, Longevity: 10/10, Price: 8/10, Compliments: 9/10, Quality: 6/10. Final score: 8.5. Would I buy it again? Yes, for the performance and price.
Very pleasant, gets compliments, and the fruity notes are noticeable. It doesn’t smell like One Million or Invictus as some say. Excellent performance, lasts long and projects well. Expected quality for the price. Projection: 9/10, Longevity: 10/10, Price: 8/10, Sillage: 9/10, Quality: 6/10. Final score: 8.5. Would I buy it again? Yes, for the performance and price.
I bought it and it smells like a powerful deodorant, ideal for cold weather. In the heat, it bothers others due to its potency and sweetness.
I bought Malbec Magnetic hoping for the hype, but it seems people are paid to advertise. It smells like deodorant, like that Ego gel, nothing of the grape, apple, or anything they claim. The scent is very strong; you have to apply it sparingly or it will bother others. Don’t buy it blindly; go to a store to test it or ask someone who owns it.
Smells rich; the opening is very grape-like. Two sprays fill the room, but it doesn’t get boring. After three hours, if you only catch two sprays, it’s very weak, so don’t be afraid to use 5 or 6 to get the most out of it. It’s delicious, sweet, and special, but I wouldn’t recommend it for heat or strong sunlight. It’s for cold, rainy days; it warms you up. For the price, it’s quality.
It smells delicious; the grape note is very prominent at first. Two sprays fill the house, but it’s not boring; if after 3 hours you only have two left, it smells very weak. Don’t be scared—I recommend 5 or 6 sprays to get the most out of it all day. It’s sweet, special, and tasty. I wouldn’t recommend it for heat or strong sunlight; it’s better for cold, rainy days as it feels like a hug. For the price, the quality is brutal.
Starts with sweet grapes and that typical alcoholic base of Malbecs, where mineral notes stand out and give something unique that few catch. Then it dries down to gum and white wine. Performance and longevity are good. Recommended; the Malbec line has excellent value for money.
The good: it lasts forever on clothes, even after washing, it still smells like perfume. On skin, it lasts about 5 hours, which is just enough. It works for everything, cold or hot (I personally smell better in the cold). It’s sweet, metallic, with wine and incense, masculine and potent, but nothing special—it smells like an expensive deodorant. Not woody, citrus, aquatic, or green. It has that catalog quality. Good price. Wish more originals lasted this long.
I’m just starting to wear it. At first, it smells like those hard Concord grape candies, then a very muted amber base comes out. It seems weak on my skin, even though reviews say it fills the room, and that worries me because the same thing happens with Malbec Gold. The reviews are wonderful but don’t apply to me; I don’t know if it’s my skin or the product. It’s getting frustrating, looking for advice.
It’s good; in the opening and dry down, the apple note is very noticeable and gives a certain floral scent. I’m not sure if you know the Night Blooming Cereus flower, which only smells at night; I thought it smelled like that. I think you have to enjoy it at least with me; it depends on the mood. Definitely, it has that sharp scent signature that Morillas puts in all his perfumes.
I like it, but the apple note is very strong at first, then it settles into a floral scent that reminds me of Night Flower—it just smells good at night. I think it’s worth trying, depending on your mood, but it has that signature Morillas touch found throughout their entire catalog.
