Essential Oud by Natura is a floral musky woody fragrance for women. Launched in 2017, this composition was created by Verônica Kato and Pierre-Constantin Guéros. Upon release, the fragrance unfolds with pink pepper, black pepper, dried fruits, and loquat; the heart reveals a harmony of rose, prairie orchid, jasmine, praline, Gurjum balsam, cyperus (nagarmotha), and loukhoum; while the base settles on oud wood, copaiba balsam, vanilla, sandalwood, cedar, ambergris, cashmere, patchouli, musk, and ambroxan.

  • I went along with the reviews and bought it blindly since it was on discount, and it was a MISTAKE. It’s an oud bomb. Although I like strong perfumes, this one is too violent. If you like woody scents, you might like it (I recommend spraying very little), but on me, it smelled like oak furniture, even bitter, with no flowers or vanilla. For me, it’s unisex-masculine. Huge projection and 12-hour longevity; it’s not versatile, only usable in winter and at night (I clarify that it’s intolerable to my nose). My disgust was so great that I sold it within a week. I’ve never had such a strong aversion, although you might like it. I recommend smelling it in person or using a tester. I’d give the scent a 0/10.

  • It’s not for me… I bought it blindly and it was a FAIL. The scent is very fussy; I consider it unisex but perhaps too masculine for me. It’s high-quality spiced, elegant, and original, but I don’t think it’s captivating or sexy, nor versatile.

  • I decided to buy it blindly and have no regrets; I’m delighted. It lasts more than 7 hours. Although I consider it a bit heavy, the camphor/minty aroma can be used year-round with moderation, though I wouldn’t wear it for very elegant occasions. I don’t consider it unisex, except at the start, since it later sweetens and softens. It reminds me of a Halls honey lozenge.

  • I’ve had it for months and adore it, not just for the wonderful scent but for the longevity, around 8 hours. It’s complex and has personality, not suitable for everyone. At first, I feel the sting of pepper, then it moves to delicious white flowers. My favorite part is the dry-down with oud and woods that feel skin-close even after a shower. I recommend trying it first, but if you like strong, characterful fragrances, you’ll love it.

  • Jaazirainbow

I used it a couple of times with samples, and indeed, it’s not for me. I didn’t like it at all; it’s too woody/attar-like and masculine for my taste.

  • Very particular. Sometimes it seems more masculine; on those days, I paired it with another (feminine) fragrance, and it stood out just as much. I love that Natura uses and combines exotic aromas. It has good longevity. As several people have written, I recommend trying it before buying.

  • What a surprise! It smells like potent, bright medicinal oud. It stands out more than the men’s version, which is woodier and less scandalous. It seems more masculine to me, but on a woman, it smells amazing. Perfect for an elegant, mysterious, and reserved girl. Nothing to envy from a niche fragrance. Scent 8.5/10, longevity 9/10, compliments 9/10, and recommended 100%.

  • I noticed it on a coworker and wondered what she was wearing. I thought it was an exotic or medicinal blend, but it turned out to be a catalog commercial perfume. My reaction was immediate attraction, and I decided to buy it because it’s terribly mislabeled as ‘feminine.’ On my skin, it recalls vintage scents, with bursts that remind me of Dior’s Poison. The sweetness comes from plum and bitter honey, not the oud, which I can’t detect. It’s a dark oriental floral, far from innocent, wild, and carnivorous. I suspect undeclared floral notes like carnation and detect a lot of ambroxan. The minty opening is the backbone that unifies everything. I don’t detect vanilla. The dry-down is controversial: sometimes I like it, sometimes I hate it. It ends soapy, like just out of the shower. It’s mysterious how it ends up that way after such an aromatic orchestra.

  • MarinaEtoile

Impactful and lasts all day. It comes out strong with a scent reminiscent of medicinal syrup, but then it mellows and the oud softens with rose and jasmine. It’s neither shy nor innocent, and it lacks any synthetic notes that bother me. It’s for those who love impact: it steps forward, leaves a trail, and commands attention. I bought it thinking it was like Velvet Rose & Oud by Jo Malone, but it’s worlds apart; this is woody, resinous, exotic, and frankly overwhelming. Do I like it? No. If I don’t sell it, I’ll use it for layering so it doesn’t overpower another fragrance.

  • It’s my favorite from Natura so far. It starts with plum and pepper, then evolves into a gorgeous woody rose. It makes me feel empowered and gives me a sense of power. So delicious, but don’t buy it blindly!

  • It’s a scent I’d like to be identified with: mature, mysterious due to the exotic notes, elegant, and with character. It’s enjoyed more the lower the temperature, but it can also be worn in warm weather, just with moderation. It’s certainly not a good option for those who like gourmand scents, which I also enjoy, however, I identify more with this type of sweetness because everything is sweet on my skin. Don’t let yourself be guided by those who say negative things; better to know it and form your own opinion.

  • On my skin, the opening evokes nuts… a prune or raisin with the wood well-marked, just as I like it, and it stays linear. After a while, you feel the wood with a sugary rose. I would describe it as: it’s not an astringent or dry wood; it’s a sweet floral wood (which doesn’t overwhelm, bother, or cloy). As it dries, you still feel the wood with a bit of vanilla that closes the sweetness. It’s not a gourmand vanilla, but it’s noticeable and sweetens the wood, making this a beautifully feminine, elegant perfume that I imagine on a serious and empowered woman. Its longevity exceeds 12 hours. I consider it versatile, more for autumn, winter, and early spring. I don’t think there’s a problem using it during the day or at night; it goes excellent at any time.

  • FloorPerfumeadicta

Love at first sniff. As soon as I smelled it, I felt: Love, Passion, and other things. It’s beautiful, the best from Natura, by far. The oud, pink pepper, and rose are very noticeable. Longevity 20, sillage 20, scent 20, packaging 20. Would I buy it again? Always. I love it; it’s unique. I have other oud perfumes, and none resemble this one. Essencial Oud is a marvel, like all of Natura’s. I recommend trying it before buying because it’s not for every taste. It’s special! If you like sweet gourmand, floral, and citrus scents, I don’t think you’ll like it. It’s more intense, sweet, woody, and spicy! I recommend it for cold climates and night outings.

  • I love it; it’s my daily perfume. It’s not discreet at all; it has personality and makes itself known. I don’t think it’s a good idea to buy it blindly; you might not like it if you’re not used to this type of aroma.

  • Essential feminine oud; it’s a voluptuous fragrance with an undeserved bad reputation. While it is dense, it can please many people in the right seasons and quantities. In my case, it behaves totally feminine, fruity, balsamic, and very sweet, without being gourmand, but rather resinous. The only ‘difficult’ accord is at the start, slightly mentholated and camphoraceous, with a medicinal smell, but the nuts, the peach (which I feel even crystallized), the praline, and the woody base are predominant. I don’t even think it’s that floral. It’s delicious and suitable and elegant in cold seasons. The projection is medium and the longevity is six hours or more. Who will like it: lovers of opulent fragrances.

  • I’m not usually a fan of woody perfumes, but wow, this is delicious. I loved it, and it lasts quite a while on the skin. To me, it’s elegant, sensual, and makes you feel sophisticated. Honestly, it was a blind buy and it didn’t disappoint at all. I also bought the men’s version and loved it just as much; it’s elegant. I would buy it again without hesitation.

  • Excellent fragrance; this could easily be a niche perfume; you can really smell that oud note. I perceive it as more unisex than anything else. The opening is exquisite, and as it dries down, you feel that woody oud with sweet and slightly floral notes. A wonderful creation by Natura, very addictive to smell; I love it.

  • Definitely sweet, intense, and invasive. On my skin type, perfumes usually don’t last, but this one wouldn’t budge even with soap. Unfortunately, it wasn’t one of my favorites because it gave me dizziness and a headache. My recommendation is to moderate the sprays and use it at night or in winter.

  • LADYPARRODR*FRAGANTE

A fantastic perfume, excellent for a catalog line; I find it amazing and nothing to envy from any designer. It’s an overwhelming scent that fills spaces, seductive and dark. I loved it from start to finish: a powdery rose with immense power. It’s a fragrance that goes through several distinct, enjoyable phases. For me, it’s a delight for night wear or cold afternoons, ideal for autumn and winter. I’d dare say it’s the best perfume from Natura. Very much in the style of Lancôme’s Oud Bouquet. I always buy it again; it’s addictive.

  • I absolutely love it; it’s my favorite from Natura. It’s incredibly well-made, delicious, and unique—nothing like anything I’ve smelled before. I envision it on a mysterious, dark, and elegant woman who loves leather, aged between 27 and 50, though it’s unisex and men can wear it too. The fragrance evolves beautifully: it starts sweet, but the oud always dominates, followed by pepper and sandalwood, before returning with amber and nutty notes. The longevity is brutal; on clothes, it lasts nearly a month. When I open the closet, it smells amazing for the first two weeks, and I even have to wash clothes twice. On skin, it won’t leave unless you shower, lasting two days sometimes, and you can even smell it on yourself. Note: this isn’t for everyone; it has a strong personality and might be intimidating. I hope they never discontinue it.

  • Marcecandu

I bought it blind, hadn’t tried it, and went for it because of the TikTok hype. It’s a complex perfume and I knew I’d have a hard time getting used to it. It didn’t disappoint, but it cost me a while to make friends with it. On my skin, the wood and black pepper were very strong; I felt it was unisex but leaning masculine. I didn’t smell the rose, the sweetness, and it didn’t last more than 5/6 hours. Over the days, I learned to appreciate it and now I love it. I’ve worn it alone and also as a layering piece with something sweeter. It complements a very sweet scent perfectly and boosts it a lot this way. I’d buy it a hundred times again.

  • charlotinable

It’s very similar to, if not quite as good as, Avon’s FAR AWAY ROYALE, and look, I swallowed that Avon one with pure praise. It also fits the style of Dior Addict by Dior, NU by YSL, ABSOLU by Rochas, BE DELICIOUS NIGHT by Donna Karan—pure class and beauty of scents that say, ‘I am absolute and sensual elegance reaching into the darkest carnality.’ This one has a regal, powerful wood of oud and cedar sandalwood with that very powdery rose note sprinkled with patchouli, opening with very resinous, smoky vanilla and amber like medicinal ointment and some mystical camphor. A beautiful scent I got on sale and I’m getting more bottles of this delicious richness that left me fascinated and spellbound in absolute pleasure. It’s very unisex, great for winter days or cool summer evenings after rain… It also fits the style of Versace’s OUD NOIR.

  • karenzapata

If you like woody and vanilla scents, this is the one. Unisex. I recommend smelling it first because it’s quite strong and particular. Nothing to envy from imports. I always have it in my collection; it can never be missing.

  • If you like florals, powdery, sweet, fruity, vanilla, intimate, clean, or fresh scents… stay away. To my taste, it’s one of the worst I’ve tried, because I enjoy creamy woody bases like sandalwood that hold fresh notes, but I feel this is almost pure wood. I saw they declare many notes that didn’t exist for me. I tried it in-store because I read reviews, and luckily I didn’t buy blind like I usually do. I couldn’t stand it from the start, had to go to the mall bathroom to wash my arm three times and it was still there. I put on Zara’s Golden Decay and it didn’t cover it. By 3 hours I was home and washed my hands twice more, and right at the skin it was still lingering. So I don’t doubt it’s eternal in longevity, but to me, it’s very rough. I don’t think the problem is that it’s masculine, but that it’s rough because it lacks balance; I get the impression it wasn’t harmonious in its creation, they just thought about adding a lot of something that lasts, at the cost of a headache. Before washing, I smelled burnt wood; I wouldn’t want to smell like a fire, there are perfumes with smoky notes like Club de Nuit Woman or LouLou that I enjoy a lot, but seriously, a smell of burnt wood like a fire or crematorium. I hope no one is offended since everyone has different tastes. If you’re looking for enjoyable woods… then try Mon Guerlain or its similar, which I love: Noir Seductive by Guess… vanilla not from the bakery, accompanied by woods, powdery, pleasant, delicate but with character.

  • I love strong perfumes and a friend said, ‘You have to try this, it lingers in the room for hours.’ That was all I needed to go try it. It’s out of the ordinary and I liked that. To me, it’s 100% unisex. It lasted more than 8 hours on my skin and days on clothes. It smells different on my skin than on the blotter. On the blotter, I smell more wood and it becomes powdery, even reminding me of Kenzo Jungle when it hits that ‘rice pudding’ note. But on my skin, it turned sweeter and more feminine. Once dry, I only smelled sweet roses; it reminded me of Mancera’s Roses Vanille or its Zara dupe. Does anyone else smell this similarity? Because on my skin, it ended up being EXACTLY the same. I noticed they share notes. Anyway, it’s weird. Not a blind buy. I loved it, but I think it can change on the skin.

  • As a man, I consider this a gem. What a delicious oud/rose combo; it’s delicate and perfectly niche. As Andrés Perfume says: SPECTACULAR, DELICIOUS.

  • Horrible. I bought it blind looking for something intense with good longevity. Nothing to highlight, just a smell of burnt wood. I tried it and straight to the trash bin, not even for a friend.

  • Viviana1205

I found what I was looking for. After reading several reviews, I bought it blind with fear due to the versions I’d found. It’s love-hate, but for me, it was love at first sniff. I’ve been searching for that special scent that isn’t always easy to find, and here it is. It’s special, uncommon, intense but not invasive. It makes me feel good. It’s sweet, original, refined—exactly what I wanted to feel. I’d wear it every day, anytime, any season. Thanks Natura, much better than any import. I already ordered the refill at an incredible price. I’m happy.

  • Strong scent, if you like intense stuff, this is for you. The black pepper has presence throughout the trail. To me, it smells very strong and leans masculine.

  • Smells like Initio’s Atomic Rose but much more wearable. It’s close to Lattafa’s Bade’e Al Oud Amethyst without that intense spice or overpowering rose; it’s more feminine and understated. I love it, it feels unisex to me. The wood doesn’t overpower, it just adorns a ripe rose with a spiced sweetness. If you wear intense perfumes, wear this blind; if not, don’t let the floral notes fool you because they aren’t the main event. I was scared by the reviews, expecting a beastly woody scent, but got a classic, feminine love potion instead.

  • No exaggeration, it beats many designer scents. Incredible quality for a catalog fragrance. It’s intense, mysterious, and unique. If you wear it, no one goes unnoticed; the sillage and projection make a statement. It lasts hours on skin and days on clothes. Watch out: it’s woody and unisex, not for tender sides or romantic dates, but to show off the sexy and empowered side. Ideal for outdoor events in autumn or winter. In enclosed spaces, be careful with the amount because it can be overwhelming.

  • AlexisCadegan

I treated a member of the public and a woman around 50 smelled exactly like Cacharel’s Amor Amor. I asked what she was wearing, and although she might have been confused, she told me it was this one. Haha.

  • Luis Bolso1974

Yesterday at a family gathering, I asked who was wearing Bharara King because it smelled exactly the same. They looked at me strangely until my cousin clarified it was Essential Oud. The resemblance is brutal.

  • Marcecandu

It took me a while to warm up to it. It was very intense at first, but then I fell in love with its incredible performance. The pepper and woods are very present, very refined and eternal. Don’t buy it blindly. It looks like a niche scent but it’s a catalog fragrance… INCREDIBLE. However, for my taste, it lacks a touch of sweetness. Spectacular and mysterious.

  • I tried this perfume and it didn’t hook me at all; of course, if you’re not a fan of unisex scents and you like woody and spicy notes, you won’t like it. I like that it’s original, but it’s not for me.

  • Diegol123

I see Essential Oud as ideal for men until I got a sealed 2019 batch; the new one is more potent and dense, but the old one has a better rose essence, more upfront with the oud and balsam, plus dense vanilla without being sweet. Unfortunately, the new one feels flat—it’s just a pretty fragrance. The old one has character, it’s a shame it’s impossible to find. If you put it in a designer bottle, people will call you out on it, except for the alcohol blast which lasts a minute. We’ll have to see if oxidation changes it or makes it denser, because the first hour projects so strongly it’s intimidating.

  • At first, I couldn’t stand it; it seemed too woody and strong, plus it’s easy to recognize. It gave me a headache on my skin, so I had to stop, but I kept trying until I found the right way to wear it. Now it’s addictive—I don’t care if half the country is using it. 25 ml lasts me a long time; it’s potent and not for every day or season.

  • Honestly, I loved it from the first spritz. I’ve been wearing it for a couple of years now, and it’s so elegant, dark, and sophisticated that it’s not for everyone.

  • haneulscent

This perfume finally achieved everything YSL Libre couldn’t: depth, sophistication, and real feminine authority.

  • I tried this years ago and initially thought it was very masculine and strong, but years later I absolutely fell in love with it. On my skin, it’s super woody, and its longevity, sillage, and quality rival designer brands; plus, in Argentina, it often has good discounts ☺️

  • Luchus2025

Smells like Oud Wood but with less animalic edge. It gradually turns sweet, ending up 90% similar to Maison Alhambra’s Exclusif Oud. I catch a hint of rose even though it’s not listed. It’s good, but I think it’s overrated nowadays; I prefer Exclusif Oud, which is also cheaper.

  • I bought the refill in mid-2025, not the base, so I can’t provide the batch. I don’t sense the woods they claim, just a potent, intense ‘dark sweet’ scent: lasts days on clothes and over 8 hours on skin, which is exaggerated. It’s not a scam for that reason alone; it smells very strong and lasts long enough to not be a fraud. I don’t know what else to say—it’s continuous, sweet, and heavy, with massive projection and longevity. If you over-spray, it becomes annoying; I don’t detect woods or the bergamot top note. When I bought it, it didn’t last long, but half a year later, it’s insane. I bought it blindly based on reviews, and honestly, I wouldn’t repurchase. It smells good for winter, but nothing extraordinary; it’s kind of for older people, with a strong sweet, ambered vibe, perhaps from the praline, but it gets dull. Speaking as a regular user, I doubt anyone notices anything more than the sweetness.

  • The opening is incredibly potent. As it dries down, it reminds me a lot of Lattafa’s Wajood, like wet wood and spices. Very different and rich. I don’t recommend buying blindly.

  • No drama, this ranks in Natura’s top 3 for its price: it’s the best, has great body, and the oud doesn’t smell disgusting or overpowering. Very rich.

  • Great perfume, smells like old or burnt wood with sweet cinnamon, giving me church vibes. On me, it lasts 8 hours and projects well for about 2 hours. The opening smells like grandma’s perfume—citrus and floral, probably from the saffron and bergamot. Try before you buy, because at first impression, you won’t like it; you need to let it settle, and then it will hook you like it did for me.

  • metroidsoldier

Not Arabic, but definitely niche. Very sweet, oud, woody, and elegant; I tested it in a magazine and it’s clear this Oud from Natura is extremely long-lasting.

  • It projects and lasts; the scent is delicious but depends on the context and the person. It’s quite strong and sweet, so I see it for cold weather or night, for calm plans like dinners or important events. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea because it smells very distinguished, but I’d say it competes with niche perfumes; it’s unique, I’ve never smelled that note in another perfume or on anyone else. It’s out of stock on Natura’s website, so if you find it, grab it before you regret it.

  • LucioGuaymas

A man’s perfume through and through. Excellent for any man over 30. Exquisite scent, noticeable, and the quality-to-price ratio is very good. Suitable for various occasions, but only evening ones; I find it too invasive for the office. Highly recommended.

  • blumooParfum

I was used to sweet, sensual, and youthful perfumes, but I happened to try Essencial Oud and fell in love at first sight. A perfume that took me out of my comfort zone, very sophisticated for those special night/winter occasions. Super recommended.

  • Agarwood, or Oud, is that dark resin trees secrete to fight off fungus. Essencial Oud is a beast in its class: you either love it or hate it. It’s the least versatile in my collection; it takes experience to wear it well. It blends woods, incense, and spices. For the price, the quality is brutal—almost like a Hugo Boss Absolu at triple the value. Don’t look for compliments here; seek pure olfactory experience.

  • Rick Azafranado

A gem from Natura. I’m happy with this ‘catalog’ perfume house; for me, it’s the best. They use ingredients that niche or designer perfumeries could use perfectly. With those balms, woods, flowers, and gourmet notes like chocolate and vanilla, this fragrance is exquisite and well-masculine, very balanced. It’s not beast mode in terms of trail or longevity, but it lasts 5 to 6 hours on skin easily, and on clothes, no need to say more. It cost me less than $30 and beats expensive perfumes hands down. 10/10 for those who love OUD perfumes.

  • The more you use it, the more you get hooked. It’s strong and projects a lot, but let it macerate a bit so everything fuses and you can enjoy the full aroma. Wear it on cool days when you’re well-dressed. It smells like sweet nuts with that spiced Oud touch that gives it darkness and addiction. It’s not for everyone, but it lasts forever. It smells mature and serious; if you combine it with personality and know you’ll smell different, you’ll maximize your presence.

  • baofragantico

Rich perfume but very complicated. It doesn’t suit everyone and isn’t the scent that gets the most compliments. The quality is top-notch; it doesn’t look like something from a catalog, but girls usually can’t stand it.

  • geroluna_44

So strong that if I smell it up close, it lingers in my nose and on my mustache for hours. My girlfriend and my mom absolutely love it. It’s potent in intensity and complexity, yet velvety and silky over time. It’s sweet. Totally worth it for the price.

  • I tested a decant before deciding. I’m not an expert; I went with the first spray and didn’t like it. I refused to use it for almost a month until I tried it again after letting the alcohol evaporate. Great decision—I loved it and I blame my one-month-old self for being an idiot. The scent is sweet, spiced, rich, but not cloying. At night, it shines; sometimes I even want to wear it during the day in the heat, and the trail is deadly. Surprisingly, it doesn’t give headaches. Many will say I’m crazy, but it’s addictive, not annoying, and the quality is impressive. The price is volatile: I bought it for $24, and now it’s up to almost $70. Wait for it to drop; it’s rich and high quality, but it’s not worth those exorbitant prices.

  • Yes, it smells great. A masculine winter scent, nocturnal, with excellent performance. If you don’t want to smell like everyone else at a bar, this is your option. With a very attractive price, there’s nothing more to say: go for it. I recommend buying it, but not blindly. Rating: 8/10.

  • It’s a delicate, pleasant, and complex Eau de Parfum thanks to its sweet woods. It lasts longer than average, though the projection is moderate. Top notes: spices, woods, sweetness, saffron, amber, and a citrus touch. Heart: sweet praline, cinnamon, and woods. Base: light oud, sandalwood, balsams, and patchouli. It’s sweet, spicy, and woody. My partner complimented it, but not my coworkers (I apply 8-10 sprays and reapply mid-day). I was surprised it lasted days on clothes, even on my car belt. I feel the trail is moderate, creating a pleasant one-meter personal bubble that doesn’t bother anyone. With its sweet and woody scent, it’s impossible not to like it. Scent 10/10, Longevity 10/10, Projection 6/10, Price 7/10. I recommend it blindly if you like sweet and woody scents.

  • Spectacular fragrance. I bought it after seeing several influencers praise it. Now that I’ve tried it, I say it’s a strong, serious masculine scent. The woodiness is present, and the oud isn’t for the faint of heart. High longevity and high-to-moderate projection; you need to plan your sprays. I feel it’s winter and cold. Highly recommended.

  • The oud lasted three hours, but when it faded, the scent turned nasty, almost like saliva. I love it, but only for short bursts on skin; on clothes, it lasts forever and is worth every penny at this price.

  • AgusPieri198

My first oud perfume. I like it; it’s very woody and strong with sweet touches from the praline. I can’t identify any of the other 20 notes it claims. It lasts 6-7 hours on skin with moderate projection. I bought it in refill format, and they say it’s less concentrated that way and doesn’t perform as it should.

  • Andrea 🇵🇪 a29

Very woody with a strong alcohol kick at first. Then it settles into a drunk leather vibe. A super masculine aroma, made for mature men.

  • A fragrance impossible to buy blind; it smells very mature and isn’t suitable for anyone under 30 or casual settings. To my nose, it’s cloying and overwhelming, not my style. However, it’s excellent quality, ideal for special occasions, winter, and night. Performance is brutal: 10 hours on skin and 2 hours of heavy projection. Great buy for the price.

  • After wearing it several times, I noticed the opening oud fades significantly as it dries down, transforming into the DNA of Angel’s Share or Kissmet Angel with an oud base. If you own those fragrances, you’ll know exactly where this one goes.

  • What a delicious perfume 🤌❤️ Smells like drunk chocolate, sexy, and masculine. Feels like high quality for the price. I wore it at night in cold weather and it’s excellent 🔥. Longevity and projection are an 8.9 to 10.

  • Excellent scent, serious, feels like it’s from a VIP perfume house. Recommended if you’re looking for something masculine and serious for elegant or night outings. Definitely recommended.

  • Buenos Aires, polar cold (ironically), and the scent lasted all day with just 5 sprays. Against the wind, against the cold, against everything. The aroma is spectacular considering the value. That said, mine are the old bottles, though they say the new ones smell the same, just with an hour or two less longevity. For the price, you have to have it. For the scent, even more so.

  • First off, I’m a regular user, not an expert. I bought it due to the hype, many considered it the best from Natura. I got it for about $35 with a coupon. On first sniff, I regretted it instantly: ‘I don’t like this.’ After a week of wearing it, I’m getting used to it a bit. The opening is very intense and rare; I felt like it smelled like a lady’s perfume, a bit synthetic, which I didn’t like. Then it felt a bit ‘exotic,’ medicinal, or like syrup. After two hours, the performance dropped significantly; it sat right on the skin. Unfortunately, after two or three hours is when I liked it most; it became sweet and pleasant, something I’d love to wear when it’s cold. In other words, the longer it goes on, the richer it gets, but you don’t get to enjoy it because the performance fades. In total, it lasts about 7 or 8 hours very close to the skin. I feel it’s not worth it: the part I like most is the least noticeable, and the part I dislike most is the most intense and what everyone around you will smell. It’s not for me; I look for compliments when I pass by, and this is hard to get. It’s a different, complex scent that you have to get used to. For those over 30, formal and serious. Not for me; I’m 23 and wear perfumes to get compliments. That said, it feels crafted, high quality, and the bottle is beautiful. Don’t buy blind or casually. Only for night and cold. Rating: 5/10 for the first two hours, 7/10 after three, but it’s barely noticeable. Thanks for reading.

It’s a very sweet, masculine scent; the oud stays, it’s nocturnal and a bit formal for those over 18. Exquisite, high performance, and great price. You need to know how to wear it; you might love it or hate it. The aroma is like being in a sawmill with a cold grill next to you while eating cinnamon candy.

  • Chabacano

For the price, it’s an excellent fragrance, superior and more purposeful than countless designer houses.

Essential Oud draws inspiration from the sweet base of classics like A*Men without stealing anything else. The opening is strong and reminiscent of old colognes, but it shines once it dries down. It smells very much like Khamrah and likely Angel’s Share too. It’s cloying for cold weather but works. I like it.

  • Very good aroma, excellent performance. It’s a catalog fragrance that doesn’t envy any designer scent.

Great perfume, I don’t know why but I absolutely love it. For the price, you can’t ask for more. Ideal for day or night in temperate or cold climates.

  • Natura knocked me out of the stadium with this scent. Sweet, rich, a super easy-to-use oud, and what can you say about the performance? It’s a beast mode from the catalog.

  • JoseMartin

Catalog perfume with longevity and sillage superior to many mass-market and even niche options. Great value for money. I smell it as woody, slightly sweet when dry, elegant, and perfect for winter.

I can’t stop writing about this wonderful Brazilian perfume. Essencial Oud is my favorite national one (I live in Brazil), followed by Oud Pimenta from the same line. It’s incredible that a fragrance for around $30 performs so well. Although the oud here is quite artificial, it doesn’t detract from its merits because there’s a lot of commercial garbage sold for triple the price just for being a known brand. This is accessible, cheap niche; let the haters hate. I showed it to several friends in Venezuela with expensive collections, and they all agreed it’s a marvel. On my skin, it lasts over 10 hours projecting strongly for the first 2+ hours. This perfume is for making yourself feel present, for ‘arriving, arriving’.

Delicious, recommended purchase for autumn and winter. I’ve even worn it in summer with lots of heat (maybe it’s too much), and it’s a bomb that gets compliments or people asking what I’m wearing, from both men and women.

  • The authentic BEAST MODE. It’s really potent. If potency makes EDTs from French and Spanish houses seem like water with sugar, this is a sweet and woody bomb with better-than-average longevity. Two sprays get you ready for 6 hours. The only downside is it leaves a layer on the skin that, if rubbed, feels like dirt. It projects over 2 meters and has a very dense, complex gourmand scent. It’s like mixing dulce de leche with honey and oud. If you let it mature in the dark for a few months and spray it a couple of times every 2 or 3 weeks, it smells much better.

CATALOG OUD: This catalog fragrance stands out for its oud note, which, while not overwhelmingly powerful, blends harmoniously with woody and spicy nuances. It’s an easy-to-wear oud perfume that adds a distinctive touch in a world saturated with trends. By choosing it, you ensure you stand out from the crowd. In summary, if you appreciate woody, spicy notes and a subtle touch of oud, this fragrance will be to your liking. I personally enjoyed it very much and consider it a very attractive option, even if it’s not a monster in terms of longevity. Its performance is excellent considering the price. On the skin, it lasts between 6 and 8 hours, projecting notably for the first 2 to 3 hours before becoming more intimate. The sillage is good and noticeable in bursts throughout its duration. I highly recommend it to any oud lover. If you want a more detailed review, check out my video on the Rosko Perfumes YouTube channel.
