Egeo Vanilla Vibe by O Boticário is a spicy oriental fragrance for men and women, launched in 2020. Created by Emilie Coppermann and Pierre-Constantin Guéros, this composition unfolds with top notes of pink pepper, red fruits, bergamot, and green leaves. The heart reveals coconut, rose petals, lily of the valley, and cyclamen, while the base settles on vanilla, musk, amber, and cedar.

On blotter paper, it was diviiiiine: soft but present vanilla, delicate, very gourmand, and addictive. But on my skin, within minutes, it turned bitter and sour, like old expired moisturizing cream. Luckily I didn’t buy it blindly; it would surely work well on clothes.

  • It’s vanilla (obviously), but not gourmand. At first, it smells spicy with a herbal/mentholated touch, so don’t buy it blindly. It’s great for summer and versatile. I don’t detect the red fruits or coconut (though it gives creaminess, it’s not fruity or tropical). There’s an almost imperceptible floral touch because the vanilla takes over. The trail is moderate, projecting for about 2 hours, and on my skin it lasts more than 8 (great longevity, though not potent). It settles as a vanilla and musky scent. I like it, but I don’t love it. I bought it in Brazil on impulse because it’s not available in Argentina, and honestly, I wouldn’t buy it again, even though I have nothing against it.

  • I had high expectations; I’d used their soap and thought their whole style would be wonderful. What a disappointment: that pepper ruins everything because it’s all that’s left, and it smells like school chalk; the coconut is only noticeable at the start. The other notes get lost with that annoying pepper, the longevity is low, and it felt a bit synthetic. I gave it several chances, but no, I couldn’t make it work.

It’s one of those perfumes that makes you think, ‘I want them to fall in love with me.’ For the love of God, the longevity is insane! I don’t know if others experience this, but I smell it so vividly, almost like Loewe Solo Ella. I’m not sure if they share notes, but they’re very similar.
