I tested it twice with the El Corte Inglés tester. It lasts barely two hours (barely on the skin by the end) and projection is almost non-existent. I tested it at 20 and 26 degrees Celsius, spraying it well. It’s a shame because it doesn’t do anything against Forever (a punch of grapefruit), Italian Love, or LBI. No aroma, no trail, no longevity, no performance. At first, it smells like lemon and cypress, but in minutes, it’s gone. The bottle is beautiful, with a ceramic texture, a jewel that proves sometimes the cover isn’t representative. It smells like a missed opportunity. Hopefully, next year we’ll get lucky again.
Incredible that the fragrance just launched and already has 17 votes. You can see how the community gets damaged by people who don’t truly love this hobby; otherwise, they wouldn’t do something like this.
It smells very similar to Light Blue Intense.
The bottle is kitsch at its finest. The perfume is practically identical to the classic Light Blue or Intense. I imagine it’s just a collector’s version; there’s nothing new to smell here.
The bottle is gorgeous, worthy of designer perfumery, reflecting Mediterranean art with that typical southern porcelain. However, this edition follows the path of the original and Intense more than recent launches with grapefruit and violet. It’s woodier, aromatic, and green, with an undeclared sandalwood base and a talc-like ambiance that makes it balanced and versatile, though with very inferior performance. That aquatic background of the line, which some link to egg, is present but softened. It’s not a standout launch; it’s a follower; the pretty packaging stands out more than the content. Worth collecting only for those who can handle Dolce & Gabbana’s seasonal launches.
I’m buying the Costa Azzurra line from Tom Ford, and the similarity between the EDP and the Acqua is incredible. This version is more citrusy and herbal; I don’t feel that aquatic marine touch of the Intense I know. Given the ingredients, the resemblance to the other fragrance makes sense.
It smells fresh and becomes sweet as it dries, but the longevity is ridiculous: not even an hour. For comparison, I sprayed Antonio Banderas on top of it as an emergency backup, and it lasts three times longer.
Summer Vibes is citrusy, green, and marine, though the marine accord stays in the background compared to brighter lemon and bergamot than its predecessors. After a few hours, it leaves a sweet, common woody base. Ideal for heat and casual wear, it smells pleasant and safe, but don’t buy it blindly. I love the bottle, with details that look like Mexican Talavera pottery.
If you’re looking to decorate your vanity, it’s worth it, but forget about the performance: it’s very weak for the price. In the end, it smells just like the regular Light Blue, with no surprises or justification for the cost.
I love the scent; it’s sweet, reminding me of a candy with sugar on top or bread with sugar and cinnamon; yes, it starts more citrusy, but I must say sincerely that its performance is terrible. When I put it on my skin, it felt like water with a scent, too liquid. It projects for half an hour at best, and then it’s completely skin-scent after an hour; the aroma lasts until about 4 hours, but having to press my nose completely against my skin to smell it seems quite disappointing… A tragedy, because honestly, it’s a very easy scent to enjoy.
Honestly, we’re dealing with an interesting fragrance, very different from what the Light Blue line promises. In its opening, it’s a floral and citrus blend with a lemon that creates an original and attractive combination, very pleasant. Above all, it’s very comfortable, and as it dries down, it becomes sweeter with a touch of amber and wood. Its main drawback is performance: it has almost no projection, even right after application, at least on my skin. It is true that it lasts quite a while on the skin, even after showering, but it’s not worth it if it’s little more than a body mist.
A genuine scam. Nothing more to say.
Avoid being scammed with this fragrance. It doesn’t last even 30 minutes. I don’t understand how a prestigious brand sells something like this. The fragrance is rich, but with that performance, you’re throwing money away.
I’m testing it; it has longevity on the skin but poor projection. The aroma is very pleasant, honestly very rich. But yes, given the brand and that it’s by master Alberto Morillas, I expected more. To avoid any mental conflict, buy it thinking you’re purchasing a cologne, not an EDT, and that’s the end of the story. Although, for colognes, go with Dior.
I repeat what everyone says: a summer scent, impossible for anyone to dislike, with an exquisite fresh citrus opening, a very natural blend of lemon and cypress, the perfect combination… but that’s all. You spray it 4 times and there’s no trace left after two hours. Simply put, for the price, the brand backing it, and master Morillas endorsing it, I expected much, much more. The bottle is beautiful and collectible, but I would NOT buy it.
I bought it in May 2023 when it first arrived in Mexico. The bottle is beautiful and the in-store marketing was top-notch. Upon wearing it, the scent is very potent with cypress and lemon, a real treat for the first few minutes… but unfortunately, it vanished quickly, and I couldn’t detect it after two hours. Now in 2024, I use it more often and feel the longevity has improved to about 4-6 hours, with the scent just as rich as the first time. I think it falls short on performance; the best part is the bottle design. We’ll see what surprises D&G Light Blue brings in 2024.
It smells good and has a subtle but effective freshness, though nothing groundbreaking. I feel disappointed, yet I still want to find Italian Love, because apparently that one should be the perfect one.
To sum up what everyone says: 1. It smells luxurious and the bottle is gorgeous. 2. If you’re expecting compliments, forget it, because the projection is non-existent and it lasts only an hour and a half. 3. For a summer fragrance, it fades way too fast due to the heat. A total disappointment and I regret buying it.
I bought it a week ago and used it every single day for work, outings, and home to see if it’s really as bad as people say. Yes, the longevity is disappointing: it lasts 4 to 5 hours measured on skin and clothes (clothes hold it an hour longer) indoors. Outdoors or with wind, it dissipates in 30 minutes, leaving just skin scent until about an hour and a half later. It smells delicious, but it doesn’t justify its poor performance given the price, brand, and perfumer. Not recommended.
A citrus, fresh, and clean perfume, unique, delicious, and simple for intense heat days. Its price and presentation are very lovely. It has good sillage: with 5-7 sprays, it projects quite a bit and lasts about 5-7 hours, depending on your skin chemistry.
What a pity that such a delicious scent lasts and projects so little; terrible performance.
Almost a year with this fragrance and I regret its weak projection. It’s a delicious aroma that lasts only on the skin and barely on clothes unless you lean in. From the very first minute, the projection is non-existent, which is a shame because it’s pleasant and perfect for heat. If you’re looking for compliments, this isn’t the option; if you just want to smell yourself, it might work. Personally, it disappointed me.
I struggled to admit that buying Summer Vibes was a disappointment. I’ll keep it for the beautiful bottle, but the scent, though delicious for summer, fades too quickly.
Exquisite, an extraordinary balance for summer, pity its longevity.
Wonderful perfume, I loved the heart notes and the dry down. Pity that the longevity makes it not worth the price (it seems expensive for lasting so little). I’d recommend buying a decant to try first and carrying a small spray if you want to wear it all day.
I went to the store and tested the scent; it’s very nice but reminds me of the Avon perfume my mom used to buy me when I was a kid. After the initial spray, that Avon smell comes through, and once it dries, it’s almost identical to the classic Light Blue I’ve known all my life.
The perfume is exquisite and lasts well. The issue is the trail dies quickly and it sticks right to the skin. Perfect for extreme heat or intimate dates with a happy ending. Very rich if you like citrus, you can’t be without it.
The bottle is beautiful, but the performance is terrible. Along with John Varvatos Artisan, these are the ones that last the least—even Aqua di Gio lasted longer than Summer Vibes. Plus, it smells almost identical to the original Light Blue; maybe it doesn’t dry down on my skin, but the top notes are 98% the same and those last longer. What a shame, I’m a huge fan of the D&G line.
The bottle is gorgeous and the scent is great, but the longevity is ridiculous; it feels like a rip-off unless you’re collecting the Light Blue series.
My nickname is JimBlue because I’ve been a fan of Light Blue and its flankers since 2007. I assure you that Summer Vibes doesn’t resemble the original or the Intense. It’s very fresh, aromatic, with a citrus opening that reminds me more of green apple than lemon. A few minutes in, the woody greenness of the cypress does its job and closes with drops of amber. I bought it blindly on sale. It’s ideal for summer; although it has no aquatic notes, it’s a green citrus. It’s very similar to Hugo Reversed. Its performance is poor, which is why it’s good for the gym, school, daytime, etc. If I had tested it before…
Beautiful opening. Definitely makes me feel like I’m at the beach. It’s a pity you always have to carry a small atomizer to reapply every hour and a half if you want people to notice it. Minimum 9 sprays, and for a greater trail, I recommend 13. Beautiful scent but moderate performance leaning towards mediocre. If you’re looking for something similar from the line, go for Eau Intense. I bought it blindly and it’s not a disappointment, but it’s not what I expected.
I’m writing this because it’s on sale in Argentina to encourage any hesitant buyer. I bought it in 18 installments; the 125ml bottle cost me 120,000 pesos (about $100 USD at the time, and everything is expensive here). It’s my first designer bottle, and I wanted Dolce & Gabbana for the Light Blue line. According to reviewers, Summer Vibes is closer to the original than other flankers, and if that’s true, I’m not too impressed. The perfume is rich and simple; those are the three declared notes. The lemon is of good quality. I’m not one of those who loves citrus for fear of smelling like detergent, but my fears dissipated. It’s not cloying; it’s a fresh, lively, juicy lemon, without abstract nonsense. Along with the fresh wood in the base, it smells delightful and very well-made; it’s not a generic alcohol-based fresh scent. As a beginner, I hadn’t smelled anything like this in my Pibes (mass market) perfumes. It reminded me of the smell of my uncle coming back from the factory, a mix of chemical notes and welding fumes; maybe he used Light Blue all these years. It will be my fragrance for intense heat, very useful in my area where it’s hot all year; the scent performs satisfactorily and isn’t annoying. Performance is low (expected), but not as much as I read: at 35 degrees of humid heat, it lasted over 3 hours before fading to the skin. Maybe the problem is the skin; start drinking more water. It projects very discreetly, exactly what I’m looking for, though maybe not enough for a citrus. At nearly 1,000 pesos per ml (super competitive price on sale), it’s a great option, but at the regular price without deals, it’s not worth it. Being a limited edition saves me the doubt of buying it again, though if I were to just jump in, it would be tempting. The bottle is very beautiful, with my blue and white colors. It would look great in a collection, but I prefer rotations. I give it a 6.99 out of 10. Recommended with conditions: it does the job well enough.
I’m writing this because it’s on sale in Argentina this summer to encourage the undecided. I got it in easy installments; the 125ml bottle cost me 120,000 pesos (about $100, since it’s expensive here) and it’s my first designer bottle. I wanted Dolce & Gabbana because it catches my eye and I’d heard good things about Light Blue. According to reviewers, this Summer Vibes is closer to the original; if that’s true (I’ve never smelled the first one), I’m not that impressed. The perfume is rich and simple; the three declared notes are all there; the lemon feels high quality. Lemon perfumes didn’t appeal to me because I’m not a fan of fresh scents and was afraid it would smell like detergent, but my fears were dispelled. I can’t speak to nobility or if there’s a better lemon, but it more than delivered. It’s not a sweet lemon; I understand that in perfumery there are more bitter citrus notes, but it’s not cloying. It’s a fresh, lively, “juicy” lemon, without any abstract nonsense. Along with the fresh wood in the base, it feels enchanting. It’s not generic; it smells very well-made; all the notes are distinct; it’s not a cheap alcohol-based generic fresh scent; as a beginner, I haven’t smelled anything like this in my Pibes (budget) perfumes before. It’s a very well-crafted little fresh lemon. If this is Alberto Morillas’ signature, I understand what they’re referring to. At first impression, it reminded me of my uncle coming back from the factory, a mix of chemical notes and welding smell; now I wonder if he wasn’t using some Light Blue or similar. It will be my fragrance for intense heat, very useful where I live since it’s hot all year, and this type of perfume is necessary; the scent performs very well and isn’t annoying. The performance is short (expected) but not as bad as I read; at 35 degrees of humid heat, it lasts more than 3 hours before fading to skin; maybe the problem is the dermis starts absorbing more water. It projects very discreetly, just what I’m looking for, although maybe not enough for a citrus; the initial lemon burst lasts a few minutes and has a trail. At almost $1 per milliliter (super competitive price on sale) it’s a great option ALWAYS IF it’s on sale; at the regular price without deals, it’s not worth it for me. The fact that it’s a limited edition saves me from buying it again; I probably won’t, but I doubt it, since I’m the type to play it safe, and now that I’ve found one suitable for my region and wallet, it would be tempting. The bottle is very beautiful; blue and white are my colors. It would look great in a collection, although I think you should only have rotations. I give it a 6.99 out of 10. Recommended with conditions. A perfume that more than delivers.
Mixed feelings. While it shares a lot with its sister, Light Blue Intense, it has that woody part that gives it distinction. The opening is citrusy and woody, slightly aldehydic but not much. The heart has the characteristic marine notes of the line. The base features cedar, amber, and perhaps a touch of musk that lingers on the skin. Worth adding to the collection, both for the scent and the bottle, which looks like Talavera Poblana. If you have to choose between Light Blue Intense and Summer Vibes, sadly I recommend the former, as this one has very subtle changes. If you don’t have the previous one, this is a perfect option. In the end, the decision is up to your nose and how you plan to use it.
Fresh and citrusy, but with that well-balanced feminine note that defines the Light Blue line. To me, it’s very similar to Light Blue Eau Intense; I think if you have the latter, you don’t need this one.
Very wearable, though it gets a bit tiring for me due to that wet wood tone when it dries down. It doesn’t resemble the other Light Blues much. Good performance, but not a beast. Very versatile; you can wear it in any weather. I don’t recommend buying without trying it first.
Fresh, citrusy, and delicious, with a summer vibe. I met it at the gym thanks to a friend; I really liked the scent. I know it’s not ideal to wear perfume before working out, but in this case, it smelled very fresh and intense (in a good way). It’s not one of the best in the top tier, but it’s a great perfume in its own right, perfect for everyday wear, warm climates, spring, and summer. It won’t fail you.
I’m not sure; it’s a bit of a bad perfume for me, but there are way better options for less money. It’s quite acidic and a little bitter, depending on if you like that style. You can really smell the cypress and lime; I also detect a hint of pepper and salt. What lasts the longest are the woody notes once the citrus fades. It’s fresh and good for heat, but the performance is disappointing—about 3 hours and you need to reapply, which is common for fresh scents. Personally, I was let down; I’ve heard good things about this line, but this version doesn’t deliver. If you can get it for under $50, it wouldn’t be bad, but try it first because there are better options at that price. The bottle is very nice, I won’t lie.
Well, pretty good.
What a delight! Super citrusy and very masculine. It smells excellent and lasts about 6 hours on the skin. Ideal for hot weather, I recommend it.
