The scent is rich, truly exquisite; it’s a pity that a fragrance with such an amazing smell becomes obsolete due to poor longevity. Even worse is its projection: if you don’t spray at least 10 times, you won’t project anything at all. If you have money and can use a lot of this perfume by spraying many times, it’s perfect; otherwise, I recommend the Le Beau EDP, which remains fresh with the same DNA but is much longer-lasting with better sillage. I wish it had better performance, because if it did, it would definitely be a 10 for summer and hot days. Unfortunately, it doesn’t, but well, it’s a very rich fragrance. In my opinion, based on what I mentioned, it doesn’t pass a solid 8 at most, but I do recommend it, just keep those details in mind when buying.
I prefer it for the scent over Le Beau Le Parfum… but its longevity and projection make me not buy it even if it’s on sale. I’d rather pay for Le Male Le Parfum.
It smells spectacular, but it lasts a breath and projects nothing. I wouldn’t buy it again.
Le Beau EDT by Jean Paul Gaultier was, unknowingly, the start of everything. I was gifted it during a time when I wore perfumes mindlessly, out of habit. But with this one, it was different: one day someone gave me an unexpected compliment, and that moment marked a before and after. I started paying more attention to this world, smelling with care, searching, and comparing. The scent is tropical, sweet, and easy to enjoy: creamy coconut, warm vanilla, and a fruity freshness on the opening that grabs you. It has that luminous, carefree, almost addictive vibe. Although over time it’s been relegated among so many other fragrances I’ve discovered, I still hold it dear. It’s no longer one of my favorites, but it will always have a special place in my collection. Not for what it is today, but for what it meant back then. Longevity: 7-8 hours, Projection: Moderate, Ideal Season: Spring and Summer, Personal Rating: 8/10 – A perfume that marked the beginning. Not perfect, but unforgettable in its moment.
SPECTACULAR, total beast mode. I recently got a 10ml decant to try it out, and I’ve wanted to smell it for so long. It easily becomes my signature scent: coconut, creaminess, woods, slightly citrusy, and a rich sweetness. A wonderful perfume. Yes, it’s synthetic, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad; it’s amazing. It grabs attention and draws in many compliments. When it dries down, the creaminess and woody tones come through stronger without losing the coconut; what it loses is the citrus, turning into a creamy aroma reminiscent of lotion or sunscreen. It’s delicious and transports you to the beach. Honestly, it’s a fragrance I’d love to be remembered by. Informal but delicious, great for daily wear and special non-formal occasions like birthdays or night beach outings; it works perfectly for dates. It’s one of the most versatile if you want to step away from pure citrus. Scent rating: 9/10, longevity: 6/10—it lasted from 8am to 2pm, still noticeable, not much projection but rich bursts. On my skin, that creaminess is already evident. It’s not a longevity beast, 6/10, but not every perfume needs to be. It has a pleasant personal bubble; if you overapply, it can become overwhelming. Final note: solid 8/10, I’m giving it a slight boost just for how delicious the scent is.
Let’s dissect this thing. It’s a perfume that’s incredibly simple and crude. I liked it at first, but after a few uses, I completely repudiated it. It has a slightly heavy coconut opening, with barely any bergamot detectable; it’s milky coconut from start to finish, basically Kalise coconut yogurt poured over your body once you’ve left it open in the fridge for four days. At least it’s long-lasting and projects a meter away, very summery and spring-like, informal and like a 15-year-old’s scent. It doesn’t bring anything new; instead, its sibling Le Beau Le Parfum feels a bit more adult and masculine (though not by much) and offered more originality with that tonka bean and pineapple. Anyway, unless you’re 15-year-olds looking for a cheap, simple, burned-out-more-than-a-July-4th-firework, unclassy, crude, and minimally gourmand scent, don’t buy it. Scent: 2.5/10, Longevity: 7.5/10, Sillage: 7.0/10, Versatility: 9.0/10, Compliments: 9.5/10, Originality: 3.5/10, Olfactive Rarity: 1.0/10, Average: 5.7.
One of my favorite perfumes; the coconut and vanilla notes are incredibly addictive. It’s a really great scent.
It’s more enjoyable than Le Parfum because it’s more versatile and less hyped. Plus, there are no clones out there. Tastes are subjective, but this is one of the best designer fragrances interpreting the coconut note; it might be synthetic, but the formula works beautifully. JPG really delivered something good here.
This perfume is one of those subtle ones you barely notice until you do, and then you think, ‘wow, this smells so good.’ It’s sweet, fresh, and has a tropical touch that makes it unique and very wearable. It’s not invasive or heavy, but it has this ‘something’ that makes it seductive without trying too hard.
Simple and overhyped perfume, pure tonka bean, more limited than Kiko Rivera in a nightclub. Obviously it doesn’t smell bad, but it’s very basic, less summery and Caribbean than I expected. I won’t give it a bad rating because it doesn’t deserve one, but I expected more. It’s the typical one where I don’t know when to wear it.
Too hyped; smells good but isn’t anything extraordinary enough to blow your mind. My high school son loves it, so he’s the one wearing it.
Hi, this is my favorite perfume, an absolute 10/10 and 100% recommended. It’s a youthful, sexy, fresh, and summery aroma. What stands out most is that high-quality sweet coconut. The longevity isn’t beast mode, but it’s quite good—around 6-8 hours, maybe a bit more for me. The trail is noticeable and perfect for getting compliments; after 3 hours, it radiates beyond your arm, and by hour 4, it becomes a personal bubble where people notice it effortlessly up close. I’m 19, so it feels perfect for my age, quite youthful. I can’t imagine someone near 30 wearing it, though I might be wrong. It’s my favorite fragrance because of the compliments; women love it, and the longevity and trail really help. Perfect for warm climates. Occasions: day, night, summer, youthful, casual, daily; not suitable for parties or formal dates.
Very versatile; works great for school or a hot morning at work. Maybe it lacks longevity; I feel like after two hours I’m not wearing anything. Seems very synthetic. Many say it’s ‘overhyped,’ but it’s the opposite: underrated. People talk more about the EDP than this one. In short, it’s great for daily life, but if you want to stand out, there are better options.
Once I’ve tried both, I’ll write the same review. I’ve always seen the debate over which is better, so here’s my take. Short answer? Both. I don’t get why people fight over two flankers that smell similar but aren’t redundant and suit different occasions. Both work well in heat: the EDT is better for extreme heat (without over-spraying), and the Parfum for summer nights without feeling stifled or in mild climates. Honestly, I don’t see anyone wearing the Parfum on a Tuesday at noon when it’s 32 degrees in the shade; go for the EDT instead. Which one to buy? Depends. If your area is mild or cold, go for the Parfum; if it’s hot like mine, go for the EDT. But you can have both and use them for different occasions. Buy what you want.
What can I say… it achieves with little what others can’t with much. Upon spraying, it’s citrusy, then blends into coconut and pineapple (on my skin, even if not listed). It’s a tropical vibe, easy to wear, and everyone likes it because it’s inoffensive. Lasts about 7 hours with 2-3 hours of good projection.
It has an undeclared sandalwood note; it’s rich and the most versatile in the entire line. Very well made, simple yet sophisticated.
My high school signature from my three years there, and I wish I’d known about it sooner. Smells rich and sexy; the coconut makes girls love it. I still wear it at uni; it’s basically sweet coconut with a hint of vanilla or tonka bean at the base. The alcohol isn’t fancy, but it works. At 21, I see it for high schoolers through early college; I’ll stop wearing it by 23-25. Lasts 2-3 hours with good projection, then fades to a skin scent.
Tropical paradise and summer? No need to say more: this is the fragrance you can find.
If it lasted a bit longer, it would be a 10. It fulfills its purpose in casual spots and for younger crowds, though for me, it’s not formal enough.
Rich scent and feels premium, but the longevity and projection don’t justify the price; better to save up and grab the Parfum version. Ideal for the office or daily use without committing to more than 4 hours.
Meh, I thought it smelled very synthetic…
Coconut, sun, and skin: Le Beau is one of those fragrances that doesn’t need complexity to be enjoyable. The opening has a brief touch of bergamot that disappears almost immediately, giving way to what truly defines its character: a creamy coconut milk, softly sweetened with vanilla. It’s not cloying. On the contrary, its sweetness is round, warm, and melts into the skin. The dry down is tropical and evocative: it transports you to a breezy beach with sun-kissed skin. It has that ‘vacation in a bottle’ effect that needs no explanation. Unlike Paradise Garden, which has more layers and a more marked evolution, Le Beau bets on simplicity. And it does it well. It doesn’t aim to be a projection beast or a party bomb; that’s what the others in the line are for; its charm lies in how easy it is to wear. It works for any age and suits a girl perfectly. I see it as ideal for summer, for daytime, for when you just want to smell good without overthinking. Rating: 8.5/10. It’s not complex, but it’s delicious. And sometimes, that’s exactly what you need
A truly delicious, uncomplicated coconut with that super sexy touch that sets all JPG scents apart from the millions of others out there. I’m not usually a fan of sweet perfumes, but I absolutely love the creamy coconut in this… I don’t mind the synthetic notes at all; it’s executed so well that they fade into the background for me. It’s simple. If you like JPG, you have a Le Male, and of course, you have this Le Beau
A gem. Easy to wear, rich, simple, minimalist. An absolute must-have
I reviewed this scent here a few years ago and didn’t remember this issue, but recent batches stain terribly. It leaves a very obvious blue mark. I’m not sure if they changed the formula or the dyes…
Simple fragrance, zero complexity. Easy to wear. Tropical without being heavy, so it’s comfortable for hot summer days and nights. Beach or pool are the ideal scenes. Opens with a sweet, vanilla-infused coconut note. Dries down feeling quite synthetic, maintaining those notes while adding a creamy or sunscreen-like vibe. Projects lightly for the first hour and a half to two hours, then stays skin-close for another 4-5 hours. It’s more of a youthful, informal, slightly unisex scent—my girlfriend actually wears it more than I do. Wouldn’t buy it again
Before the reformulation, it was a masterpiece, but now it leaves much to be desired. Like Le Parfum, this is one of my favorite scents from the entire Jean Paul Gaultier line
One day my 22-year-old cousin, who is like me, a perfume lover, brought it for me to try. To me, it smells 95% like Le Beau Le Parfum, only this one is more wearable and less sweet. Good longevity of 8 hours, but I was surprised by the projection (I thought it would be higher). If you want a Le Beau that’s less sweet but not so green, I recommend this because it’s the middle ground.
Rich, delicious, and an easy-to-wear perfume that will get you tons of compliments. The sweet, vanilla-forward opening dries down to a fresh coconut; even though it’s sweet, it’s not overpowering or cloying, so it works fine in the heat
Reminds me directly of the Revlon Coconut Lime body splash 🍋🌴, a fresh, summery coconut vibe 😎🌞
Got it late in 2024 and it’s an absolute beast of a scent—probably the one people compliment me on the most. Lasts forever on clothes and about 6-8 hours on skin. Moderate projection and super easy to like. I wear it for casual outings, hanging out with friends, or vacations (it’s a godsend at the beach; you basically smell like the ocean). Definitely not for clubs, though, because even though it’s sweet and projects well, I think it can get a bit overpowering compared to other fragrances there. Rating: 9/10
I just bought it and I’m disappointed. I expected more for that price. It smells like the air fresheners in clothing stores, a known scent, and the synthetic opening is noticeable. The projection is low and it lasts barely an hour on skin. Should I recommend it? No, I feel there are better options at that price. Even catalog perfumes that cost ten times less have better performance and the coconut comes through more.
It delivers well and is easy to live with, like the rest of the Le Male line. Simple formula: citrus, coconut, vanilla, and that’s it. That sunscreen vibe is a pleasure, and unlike the Le Parfum, it’s much more wearable. I recommend it if you like the DNA because they are safe bets, though the longevity fails a bit.
Top perfume, very youthful. The coconut is sweet; to me, it seems cloying, but it’s easy to like.
The safe option for heat: not complex but it works, with a powerful and creamy coconut. Worth it. 8.25/10
Fresh and delicious aroma, ideal for hot weather or everyday use.
Fresh, sweet, and charming fragrance. Some say it smells like sunscreen… well… maybe because of that noticeable sweet coconut. But if it were the smell of sunscreen, I’d live wearing it haha. I understand where the analogy comes from. It’s a perfume that works perfectly in any season, but it stands out on the hottest days. Great for daily use and everything, because it always looks good. A rich fragrance for those days when you don’t know what to wear. Highly recommended.
Easy to fall in love with. Watch out, after all the hype, it can be a little disappointing. But it’s good, beachy, very casual and informal if you see it that way; it works for a date in the heat, an outing with friends, or a small event on a hot afternoon or morning. It’s quite crowd-pleasing, but within my taste, it doesn’t scale much. I recommend it and it’s not hard to wear, so a blind buy (unless coconut isn’t your thing) is recommended. Scent 8/10 Price 7/10 Projection 9/10 Longevity 8/10.
I wore it for almost four years. It was always my night scent, and every time I used it, I lived unique moments. When it ran out, I felt like it took a whole chapter of my life with it. It’s the art of simplicity: a fresh bergamot opening, a creamy and sweet dry down, with an exquisite coconut that wraps without being cloying. A perfect balance. You can criticize its longevity or sillage… in my case, it never mattered. My experience with it was always memorable. From the first time I wore it as a single guy to the last time in a relationship, every woman who noticed it reacted. To others, it’s just a perfume. To me, it was an era.
Perfect. In my opinion, it’s made to please anyone. Personally, I prefer it even over the Parfum version.
