Here we have this gorgeous 2014 summer bottle of Le Beau Mâle, featuring a distinct composition from the original. Still fresh, but sweeter than the classic version, which is a hit. They’re two different fragrances, yet very similar. The bottle is beautiful (yes, I know, but who cares), and the notes bring violet, sandalwood, and vanilla, plus mint and lavender just like the original Le Beau Mâle. Longevity is good, just a bit over 6 hours on the skin, and the sillage is practically non-existent, maybe for the first half hour; afterward, it becomes a skin scent. But the dry-down is magnificent. Another great creation by Gaultier, very fresh and perfect for summer. It’s an ‘Eau d’été fraîche intense’.

An exquisite scent. Today I finally said goodbye to it (I made a switch). Even though I loved the smell so much, its projection and longevity on my skin were terrible; if those flaws had ever been corrected, I never would have stopped wearing it. In fact, right before it was discontinued, I used to buy three bottles.

Simply fantastic. I absolutely love its violet aroma. If you get the chance to get your hands on it, don’t hesitate. It has great longevity and excellent sillage. The only downside is that it’s discontinued and hard to find. Lucky for me, I managed to grab two—one for my collection and one to wear this summer, hehehe. Cheers!
