Descripción

Burberry Weekend for Women is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 1997, this composition was created by perfumer Nathalie Lorson. The top notes unfold with reseda, mandarin, and sage; the heart reveals a harmony of nectarine, blue hyacinth, peach blossom, rosehip, iris, red cyclamen, and violet root; while the base notes settle with musk, sandalwood, and cedar.

  • I haven’t been able to find this perfume. Here in Argentina, there’s one with the same packaging, but the bottle is transparent, the box is a lighter yellow, and the print is also more faded. I’ve asked several employees and none know if they’re two different versions.

A really good perfume. It’s a fresh floral that lasts a long time and at the same time looks elegant.

  • Very soft and fruity, just like the color of its packaging. It’s delicate and simple but lovely; nothing extravagant, yet delicious.

  • I got it as a gift years ago and used it happily. A few months ago, a sample arrived and I was excited, but to my surprise, I absolutely hated it :O. It felt very intense, serious, and a bit masculine. For my taste, it’s overwhelming, with too much iris that reminds me of grandmas’ perfumes.

  • I bought it years ago after a cheap tester didn’t quite convince me at first, but it started to seduce me later. I repurchased it two years ago and fell in love with it again so much that I’m finally finishing it up and looking for deals online.

  • I love it! It’s fresh yet distinguished. I’ve bought it multiple times; the fragrance is long-lasting and noticeable without being invasive. I recommend it with my eyes closed.

  • I’m not sure! When I first smelled it, I loved it—fresh and spot-on for a weekend in the countryside or by a lake, something semi-romantic. Its almost ethereal scent reminded me of those Jane Austen romantic movies from the 1800s… but on my skin, it turned suffocating and heavy, and the final mandarin note seems very artificial and bothers me terribly. I’m not saying the perfume is bad, no! It’s just that on my skin, I don’t like it, and I can’t even tell where it ends. I suppose I’ll toss it, because just seeing the picture brings the scent back to my mind, and that’s all I can handle with this perfume.

Exquisite, soft yet intense at the same time. A classic but elegant aroma. I wear it every day and never get tired of it. Its longevity is excellent. Highly recommended.

  • I bought it a few days ago and it’s a hit. It lasts a long time, doesn’t overwhelm, but is clearly noticeable. I love it. We’re in summer here in my country, but I think it’s suitable for all seasons.

  • VainillaDulce

On my skin, Weekend comes out totally fruity; I don’t recall ever picking up the florals. The mandarin, nectarine, and musk notes were amplified, with sandalwood and cedar forming the base. I haven’t worn it in a long time, but back in the 90s, I loved it because its woody base made it stand out among perfumes of the era; it seemed fresh for the time, and I wore it in the afternoons and summer. These days, I don’t think it’s quite as youthful; it’s a mature perfume with medium intensity. Rating: 7/10.

What is the PH? On my skin, the Weekend smelled totally fruity; I don’t remember perceiving the flowers. On my skin, the notes of mandarin, nectarine, musk, and in the base, sandalwood and cedar, were enhanced. I haven’t used it in a long time, but in the 90s, I loved it because its woody base made it stand out among perfumes of the time; I thought it was fresh for summer and used it in the afternoon. These days, I don’t think it’s such a youthful scent anymore; it’s a mature perfume with medium intensity. Rating 7/10.

A charming, distinguished perfume that, while intended for casual occasions, exudes elegance. I consider it more adult, better suited for women 25 and up. In Weekend for Women, the floral and fruity notes (with nectarine as the star) harmoniously coexist over a powdery base, creating a very interesting blend. It has good sillage and notable projection, softly enveloping. The woman profile it evokes is a distinguished, cheerful lady with a British aesthetic who decides to break her routine, indulge herself, and take a breather to be herself, surrendering to the pleasures of a day out, whether alone or accompanied, dressed in athletic wear or very comfortable clothes, with a relaxed purpose. This Burberry fragrance is a great introduction for those unfamiliar with the brand; they get an interesting surprise when they try it for the first time while looking for something more ‘famous’. Fragrance: 8.5/10. Longevity: 8.5/10. Projection: 8/10. Versatility: 9/10.

Delicious and sweet, but not that sticky candy sweet. It’s a sophisticated, powdery sweetness. The scent is so lovely and balanced. The peach note really pops on my skin, whereas on my mom, it’s a bouquet of hyacinths and roses. As for longevity, my take isn’t final: it lasts about 6 to 8 hours on me, but on my mom, it’s eternal. I recommend it 100%.

  • Intoxicating fragrance: floral and very fresh at first, then dries down to something sweeter but not heavy. Works great for day or night. I see it for a young girl grabbing coffee or a 70-year-old lady. It’s long-lasting and leaves a soft trail.

  • I was given a blotter sample at a store and it didn’t grab my attention, so I left it in my case in front of my PC. That night, sitting in front of the screen, I smelled an incredibly delicious scent. I realized it was Weekend, and the next day when I went back to the mall, I tried it on my wrist: love at second sight! It cost around $100, but after searching high and low, I found it at a great price online. I usually look for fresh scents, but this broke my routine and expanded my options. At first, I thought it wasn’t for hot days, but it’s not cloying, and I really enjoy it. It’s become my favorite lately. My colleague and my sisters also loved it. It’s gorgeous, and when I wear it, it lifts the sadness of not being able to enjoy my discontinued favorites.

Exquisite! It projects amazingly well, and I managed to find it in Chile even though I’m from Argentina.

  • Exquisite, floral, and slightly powdery, super pleasant, a fresh, versatile, and very soft aroma. However, it’s very long-lasting and has great sillage for being so soft and floral; ideal for daytime. A little gem.

  • It’s an autumn-winter perfume that highlights the powdery, fruity, and woody notes. It lasts a long time on the skin; I liked it, but it doesn’t fully fascinate me. I feel it’s for a woman from the age of 40.

  • A floral perfume that gives a lot of vitality; literally, it’s like having a free weekend with energy to do anything. It’s powerful and lasts a long time on the skin.

  • I found it on sale and bought it. I hadn’t had it in years and was afraid that at 65 it wouldn’t suit me anymore. Well, I absolutely love it and it makes me feel great. It lasts like a miracle, has a great trail, and is a fresh burst—a balance between flowers and wood, sweet but not cloying. It transcends, makes a presence, and it’s hard for me to smell it beyond 50cm, although people have praised it from afar. For me, it’s exquisite, fresh but with body, a delight. Looking at the ingredients, I sense a soft citrus touch, the floral, and the cedar, none invasive. It’s especially a spring perfume, but it works for any occasion.

  • I have so much love for this perfume. It takes me back in time to beautiful past eras. I feel it more fruity than floral. Basically, it smells like spring and youth, that ageless youth. You are my crush, Burberry Weekend (though I must confess I’m not faithful when it comes to perfumes) :D.

  • I found it on sale and bought it! I hadn’t had it in years and was afraid that at 65 it wouldn’t suit me anymore. Well, I don’t know what others think, but I really love it, and the best part is that it makes me feel good. It lasts, which is a miracle on my skin; it has sillage, and although I can’t define the components, it’s a fresh burst, a balance between floral and woody but sweet without being cloying. It transcends as something fresh that makes a presence. If it persists on me, I recommend it to everyone because it’s hard to smell beyond 50 cm, yet this one has been praised from afar. • It was my first ‘adult’ perfume; my boyfriend gifted it to me years ago for my birthday in late February. I wore it when we got married in April (it’s autumn here), so I have wonderful memories. I had the 30ml version and didn’t know more about it until 2018, when I found it at Zofree in Iquique, Chile (along with other discontinued fragrances from Argentina). I have the 100ml version now. I use it moderately and only on special occasions because it’s striking to my taste, but it lasts forever on my skin, at least six hours. No need to reapply. It’s intense, sophisticated, feminine, and elegant (like several other Burberrys I’ve used). I associate it with high summer and autumn, perhaps because the top notes remind me of ripe fruit with a twilight sweetness. Its trail is warm, enveloping, and luxurious. It works for any occasion, day or night, where you want to stand out or take center stage.

  • Smells like cream with flowers (hyacinths), sweet. It has great longevity and sillage. It’s a good perfume, well-defined; you recognize it if you smell it again, but I gifted it away because those aren’t my favorite notes.

  • I have a special affection for this perfume 🤎; my husband gifted it to me years ago. I used to wear it in summer and autumn; it lingered beautifully on skin and clothes. It’s one of my favorite Burberrys, though I’m not sure if I’d wear it again since my tastes have changed 🤭.

I bought a decant thinking it was summery, fresh, and clean, but I found none of that. It smells old, not fresh at all; I detect a heavy, annoying honey note, with no cleanliness or youth… it’s an Anais Anais-style floral blend, nothing I like.

  • ceciiliapaz

I had it years ago and liked it a lot; it had excellent longevity. A few days ago, I tried it again in a store and it’s not what I remembered: it smells good, very similar to what I had, but it’s obvious they reformulated it for the worse. The longevity is a sigh. How good that I tried it and didn’t buy it, because it’s way too expensive for what it lasts now. Another perfume they ruined with their damn reformulations. I wouldn’t buy it again.

I had it years ago and loved it; it had incredible longevity. I tried it again in a store and it’s not the same: it smells good, it’s similar, but they reformulated it badly. The longevity is a sigh. It’s good that I tried it and didn’t buy it; it’s way too expensive for what it lasts. Another perfume ruined by their damn reformulations. I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • maruchi86

I met it in the 2000s and loved it. I bought it again years later and found a different bottle: the name is the same, but the bottle isn’t the original one. I smelled it and fell in love with the scent again, but the longevity and projection aren’t anything like the original, which was eternal. What a pity that it’s so beautiful.

  • Nikky0527

To be honest: it’s my favorite, it brings back memories, and it smells delicious and addictive. Lately, I haven’t used it for three reasons: it’s no longer available in that packaging, and I think they lowered the scent strength now, as you have to shower for it to last like before; it’s almost impossible to find the original in Colombia; and because it’s so scarce, the price has skyrocketed. It’s super feminine, elegant, sweet, and citrusy.

  • They gifted it to me, and although I initially thought it was for an older lady, I was surprised by the quality. The bottle is simple, but the perfume is floral, fresh, and talcum-powdered; as it dries, it feels sweet, perhaps due to the peach. It’s elegant and very feminine.

  • I don’t understand what they did to my Weekend; the new formula doesn’t even come close in longevity or projection. I need it to be like before.

  • I love buying fragrances blind and Weekend surprised me: it’s rich, balanced, and not invasive. Although its trail is moderate, it comes alive hours later with a powdery touch that I adore. I recommend it if you’re looking for discreet florals in the Ralph Lauren or Carolina Herrera style; it’s similar but has its own originality.

  • Burberry Weekend is a hidden gem, floral and timeless. Although it lasts about five hours, it projects a moderate trail without being annoying and smells delicious: floral, creamy, and powdery. It’s formal, subtle, and perfect for the day. If you like J’adore or Carolina Herrera, you’ll love it; it’s the best quality-price alternative for millefiori lovers.

  • Paquita83

It’s a proper 90s peach: sweet from the nectarine and tangerine, but clean. The flowers make it elegant and timeless. I see it as a fruity floral from the past, luminous and sweet without being pretentious. If you like peaches, you have to try it.

  • It smells sweet and citrusy but with a lot of elegance; it doesn’t taste like dessert or candy; it’s the perfect blend for a delicate scent that seduces effortlessly.
