  An iris-led fragrance, powdery, with oriental notes of myrrh, vanilla, and amber. It’s a rich, well-structured scent that evolves beautifully. The iris dominates from the start, creating a sweet, warm, and unisex aroma; at first it seems feminine, but the vetiver and incense in the base add a masculine, mature touch. On my skin, it smells sweet, substantial, and mature. Luxurious, warm essences in perfect harmony that evoke contradictory sensations (sometimes feminine, other times masculine). It works best in autumn and winter. For lovers of iris with sweet oriental nuances. The note of ‘drifting wood’ sounded like a marketing ploy to give it a snobbish character, but nothing of the kind—the scent is classic and leaning mature.

  Thanks for the review, Edu Lezana. It gave me the confidence to buy it—it’s a masterpiece. I agree with everything you said. The dry down smells like incense mixed with that pencil case scent from my childhood (the wooden desk organizer); it reminds me so much of C. Dior’s Bois d’Argent.
