I went completely crazy, got swept up by social media, and bought it blindly. Perfumes are expensive in Argentina, so it was quite a challenge. I knew I liked roses and vanilla, but I didn’t want it to be too sweet; seeing comments say it was a sweet but not cloying scent, that was my cue. SCENT: I loved it from the first sniff. It opens with an undeclared fruity cocktail, like pears and raspberries mixed with rose. After five minutes, the rose appears with that weird popcorn note that isn’t like the buttery kind, it’s more of a corn smell, which is strange, but then it becomes sexy when the caramel comes in from the back and the musk peeks out to cut the sweetness, with no sign of vanilla yet. In the heart, thank God, the popcorn scent disappears, leaving a juicy, sweet rose cut by the musk that I love deeply. As it dries on the skin, I notice the vanilla appearing, elevating it, boosting the rose as the main note, the fruits disappear, and it settles into a tender, sweet, powdery rose. SILLAGE: It has medium-to-wide sillage; you can feel it around you when you spray, it returns to medium after an hour, and by 8 hours it’s low. LONGEVITY: Others say it usually has good performance; on my skin, I can smell it for about 8 hours, and then I still have it because people can smell it on me even though I can’t anymore myself. I think it’s a great perfume, something distinct despite everyone saying it’s generic; I see it as having personality (cute but with a sexy touch). I recommend trying it before buying, unlike me. For the popcorn note 🍿 I give it a 9/10 🌹🍿🍨
It’s a cute and youthful perfume; I loved it the moment I smelled it. Everything with rose fascinates me, and the combination of vanilla and popcorn is unique. It’s sweet, and it doesn’t overwhelm me because it’s not fruity (I usually avoid scents with lots of fruit). Simple and a bit commercial, but I love it.
I had high hopes for this fragrance, and it has been another disappointment from the hype perfumes that aren’t worth it. I have to admit, it smells good upon application, but that’s where it stops: just some sweet roses where you never feel the popcorn or anything else, and in the end, it fades on the skin so quickly that after two hours, literally nothing is left where I applied it. What a pity. Aside from that, I think it’s a flanker that isn’t worth it, one of those brands’ go-to releases from well-known houses.
Idole Nectar is sweet, but not a heavy sweet; it’s an intense sweetness lightened by the rose. The first thing I notice is its sweetness, almost like it starts with caramel. Then the roses appear, sweet and vanilla-infused. There’s a tiny salty touch. Are those popcorn notes? Honestly, I’m not sure because I can’t distinguish that note. This fragrance has captivated me; it’s very addictive with about 7 to 8 hours of longevity and a sillage of roughly 1.5 meters. If you like sweets, don’t hesitate, this is your perfume. It’s a scent that makes you smile and invites joy and enjoyment. I’ll definitely repurchase 💖
At first, the popcorn notes stand out, followed by a fresh rose slightly sweetened. It’s not bad and is versatile. My absolute favorite remains Intense, which I find creamier. There’s something about Nectar that feels sharp to me, perhaps the more accentuated rose, but that’s just my perception. It’s still a good scent.
Between the original Idole and Nectar, I always end up choosing the latter. It’s a simple formula based on rose and vanilla, ultra-feminine. The sweetness of the caramel and the fun, youthful note of popcorn make it cute and delicious. It’s not worth paying full price, but if you find it on sale, I’d take it even in a small size. It feels very coquette and pleasant.
My sister introduced me to Idole, but it didn’t click with me because I’m looking for sweeter scents, and this is the sweetest and warmest version of the original. As others mention, I don’t detect the popcorn note, but I do smell a fresh rose, the kind that’s already bloomed and smells slightly sweet. The caramel and vanilla are constantly wrapping around the rose without being cloying. In short, if you like the original but want something sweeter, this is the one. It has better sillage and longevity than the original—I loved it!
I bought it today after trying it several times; it was the version from the Idole family that convinced me the most. Although they all smell great, I knew I wanted one but couldn’t decide, and this one has amazed me. I disagree that it’s generic; Lancôme is a great brand, and the quality of the ingredients makes all the difference. The first time I tried it in a department store, I thought, ‘Wow,’ despite the simple ingredients, it smells incredibly expensive and distinguished. It’s a perfume that makes you feel good, ultra-feminine, elegant, sweet yet fresh. It fits the ‘coquette’ trend perfectly: youthful, cute, and refined. It goes great with casual outfits and light makeup, adding the finishing touch to that style; I can imagine it on a woman in a crisp white shirt, well-groomed, and fresh. It’s not overly loud, ideal for brunch with friends. The longevity is excellent; I sprayed it at 3 PM and could still smell it at 11 PM. I’ll test the sillage on a special occasion. I’m very happy with this purchase ❤️
Idole Nectar is much sweeter, and because of that, both people and I perceive the scent more strongly. Luckily, I don’t smell the popcorn note, which personally I don’t like.
I own Idole, Intense, and Nectar. While all three are versatile, long-lasting, and flattering, I’ve come back to Nectar. I already had the 25ml version and now I have the 50ml. I keep the original for nights or special events; it lasts forever and with its pink pepper notes, it feels extra special. I’ll save Intense for when I run out of this first bottle. My current favorite is definitely Nectar. It has nothing to do with perfumes like Very Good Girl—absolutely no resemblance!
My 25ml bottle is almost empty, and I want the 100ml. It’s super sweet, potent, and screams elegant woman. Despite the reviews, I don’t recommend wearing it on hot days, and I don’t perceive fresh floral notes like I read. You have to try it to avoid disappointment. The longevity is incredible; after 10 hours, I barely noticed it, yet people still asked about it. This is a 10/10.
I tested it on blotter and on my skin, and it gave the same result. At first, it’s pleasant caramel popcorn with a strong, dry, generic base that I couldn’t describe until now—I know it’s roses. I don’t usually like florals, but I decided to give it a shot and ended up smelling like detergent, at least to me. I should try it again.
The best flanker of Idole, and I’m totally down for this one. Just kidding, maybe it’s not objectively the best, but for me, it is. In life, you have two choices: follow society or be happy, and I choose happiness. It was love at first sniff. Usually, we associate roses with perfumes for older women, but NO—here they are incredibly youthful and juicy. It’s penetrating but not heavy; it’s penetratingly juicy. Caramel and vanilla accompany the roses exquisitely, adding sweetness and youth. The popcorn notes… sometimes they appear, sometimes they don’t, but I don’t mind. Like its sibling Idole Aura, it’s great for all year except heavy summer days. It lasts forever on clothes. Well-balanced and beautifully feminine. I feel like this and Aura are twin sisters, but Aura is saltier and more feminine, while this is super sweet and a bit more… rebellious. If they discontinue this, I’m going to the Lancôme offices to do something drastic. If she goes, I go too.
Try layering with Aura; it’s exquisite. 🍀
This perfume is an absolute gem; I just love it. It’s sweet with a rich rose, and yes, you can definitely taste the caramel popcorn—it’s super delicious. My boyfriend went crazy for this scent, and everyone has complimented it so much. ☺️
Spectacular. I’m not usually a huge rose fan, but the sweetness of the perfume balances them out perfectly. Ultra-feminine and elegant.
Idole Nectar is a masterpiece. It’s the best Idole flanker, the only one that, for me, surpasses the original. I’ve loved Idole since it launched, and the Nectar version has improved what I thought was already perfect. Sweet without being childish, long-lasting without being heavy, and elegant without being old-fashioned. I get compliments on it daily. Please don’t discontinue it; I’m terrified of the day they take it off the market, and I can’t even think about it.
Delicious. At first, it smells like popcorn, then caramelized roses. Truly addictive! It lasted on my skin for about 6-8 hours.
Hi everyone! ❤ To be honest, I love almost all of Lancome’s Idole, and this one is WAY too rich and addictive! 🌹💐 But… it doesn’t last long for me; the next day, I smell it more on my clothes than on my skin. Sometimes I just put it on, people can smell it, but I can’t, and it fades quickly. I’m guessing it’s my pH, because every review I read says it’s amazing! 💗🌹💐❤🩷💞
Beautiful perfume, so delicate, luxurious, and elegant. It’s like roses wrapped in caramel and honey, sweet with a powdery touch. This flanker is the one that smells most like the original, but better because it lasts longer, projects a bit more, and I even feel it’s more original thanks to the caramel and popcorn notes. It doesn’t leave a huge trail, but it’s perfect for the office or enclosed spaces without overwhelming anyone. Ideal for a transitional season. Out of all the Idoles, this is my favorite for both scent and packaging.
What more can I say about this perfume? It smells sophisticated, clean, delicious, and has great longevity.
It was a delight to take time to appreciate. I tried it in-store and loved it, but when it arrived, I felt disappointed because it felt sharp. After a few days, I ‘needed’ to reapply it, but eventually, I got tired of that sharp note (a slightly brash rose). Anyway, months passed, it macerated, and now I love it again; I want the original EDP to alternate with it. It’s a wonderful collection, and personally, I’m not bothered by many people using it: it’s not invasive, it’s versatile, adapts to styles and ages, and everyone gives it their own touch (I’m talking about Nectar and the original).
The best rose, caramel, and vanilla blend ever created. It’s my first time using it (I bought it blind, and besides, I usually don’t like rose scents) because I was swayed by Fragrantica reviews and I wasn’t wrong. Now I smell like vanilla caramel with a touch of Turkish rose, like a slightly naive girl with a rebellious streak. It lasts hours on skin, and on clothes, you don’t even need to tell me. Idôle Nectar is an absolute yes.
This fragrance is one of my favorites from the Idol line. It feels sweet but not cloying, vanilla-scented without being bothersome. I wear it in autumn and winter, though it also works well in spring and summer. I detect notes of caramel, roses, and vanilla. In the end, on skin, it settles as a sweet little vanilla thanks to the caramel.
I’m so glad perfumes like this exist, because so many try to make a rose the star but end up feeling synthetic or annoying. This one nails it perfectly: a very prominent and pleasant rose, nothing artificial. Although I prefer Nectar over Now, because comparing the two, I love its caramel base more than the orchid note, which doesn’t quite convince me.
This perfume is divine. While there are more complex or exclusive options, this has been my favorite for years. Its perfection lies in its simplicity. At first, there’s a dance of very soft, delicate, and clean roses, but over time, they bathe in a warm caramel without becoming cloying. It’s a masterful formula that combines feminine florals with a playful gourmand touch, without any headache from explicit culinary notes. It lasts hours, it’s not a beast, stays intimate and linear. I use it daily all year except during the 2-3 months of intense heat.
I don’t detect any vanilla at all. It smells sweet, floral, and delicious, but to me, who isn’t a fan of florals, I don’t see anything justifying the price. The trail, however, seemed very good.
Roses and more roses… if you like roses, this is for you. It’s classic, elegant, yet everyday, perfect for the office because after a few hours it settles down and isn’t as heavy as when you first apply it. It’s multifaceted and works for any season.
Exquisite.
Sweet floral that smells like pure glory 🌸❤️, with all the class of Lancôme. At first, it’s pure caramel and popcorn 😍. I own the EDP and a sample of Nectar that I adore, because that opening scent makes me fall in love. That popcorn and caramel sweetness is addictive; I haven’t tried it on clothes yet, but on skin it softens a bit into a gentler floral. Still, it remains sweet. I love all the Idoles ❤️.
This perfume is addictive; the popcorn note is exquisite. My favorite is the Idôle EDP, but I think it’s tied with this one. The only downside is that it’s not very versatile; I wouldn’t wear it in summer, but it’s fine for the rest of the year. Sillage and longevity are moderate.
Just rose, rose, and more rose. The popcorn note is completely absent. If you already have the Lancôme OG, you definitely don’t need this; in fact, the OG is prettier.
To me, fresh but sweet roses, bathed in caramel. I still don’t sense that popcorn touch, but the longevity has been the best. I wore it to work and the sillage was noticeable every time I moved; after showering, the scent lingered in my hair the next day. Of all the Idoles, this has become one of my favorites.
The sweetest roses out there; I’d say they’re like iced roses. I don’t really detect the popcorn note. It’s a lovely fragrance with good longevity and sillage. Like all Lancôme, I enjoy it in any season except summer due to the caramel sweetness. If you’re a fan of roses and sweetness, this is yours.
Extremely beautiful perfume. The Idôle EDP and this are my favorites from the entire line.
It was my mother’s Christmas gift, but it smells like death. On her, the caramel and popcorn notes stand out a lot, matching the rose perfectly.
Perfect: sweetened roses with caramel. Beautiful, elegant, versatile, and durable. What a great job on this flanker! Better than the original or any other in the line. If you love roses, this Si or Si must be in your collection.
Nice perfume with rose and caramel. It doesn’t last long on me and the sillage is moderate. It’s not complex; surely no one will hate it, but it’s not a powerhouse either; maybe it doesn’t evolve like others say, but I like it and that’s enough. The price is steep, but the note quality is excellent.
What a beautiful perfume! Just smelling it from the bottle puts me in a good mood. So feminine, delicate, and cheerful, with gorgeous roses for every age. Highly recommended.
I wanted the Idole EDP, but I grabbed the Nectar on sale and it was a hit. Clean, simple, and delicious notes: the best of rose with a touch of caramel. It lasts forever and has great sillage, so it delivers. Maybe the price is high for a designer fragrance, but the quality justifies the purchase. I’m already eyeing the Peach ‘N Roses; I heard it and it’s divine!
