Descripción

Guilty Pour Homme by Gucci is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2011, this composition was created by perfumer Jacques Huclier. The olfactory pyramid unfolds with top notes of lavender and Amalfi lemon; a floral heart of bitter orange blossom; and a sweet, woody base of Virginia cedar, patchouli, and vanilla.

  • I share the same opinion as the guest poster: this scent doesn’t care about the name or the campaigns at all. Seeing those images, one would imagine something else, when in reality, in my opinion, Gucci is a classic lavender cologne, modernized, very wearable and urban. It’s light, almost more daytime though versatile. It feels very fresh, clean, sensual, slightly floral with the right amount of sweetness. A good option to smell good in summer without overcomplicating things, for those who don’t want their perfume to hog all the attention. On my skin, it’s quite flat in development, with a very refreshing opening that grabs you from the first moment. Its best virtue is performance: without overapplying, three hours of moderate trail and another three more until it fades to skin-scent. A lemony lavender with good doses of cedar. 7.5/10.

I love it, one of the most delicious I’ve ever smelled. Very original, very rich, very perfect, very everything!!!!! And I receive very good compliments…

  • A super special perfume; it’s not like the Eau or the Intense, those smell like Zara… This one has brutal longevity and projection. Its scent is exquisite: opens with lime and lavender, in the heart phase neroli flower and black pepper, then patchouli woods appear. As it closes, it becomes sweet and vanilla-like, very sexy, quite skin-scented but it lasts like that for 16 hours or more. It doesn’t generate anything extraordinary for me, but its scent is very good, which is why it’s among my favorites.

Honey, when I catch your scent, I sigh; you enchant me, and I don’t feel guilty about using it even though it’s a men’s fragrance, because for me, fragrances have no gender. You start with lavender and lime, but I’m pleasantly surprised that these notes are noticeable throughout the day. Your trail is acceptable; the only drawback is your longevity, despite that, I appreciate you.

First review on Fragrantica, I’m not an expert, so my comment is simple. Gucci Guilty has a very pleasant opening; I bought it because my brother recommended it to me and I liked it. The first week, I only noticed the delicious top notes, but they didn’t last long. In the second stage, it reminded me a lot of Allure Homme Sport, but with much weaker projection and trail. After two hours, I could barely smell it, just skin-scent, like I’d applied powder. Finally, I used it daily. I tested it in cold and warm climates, morning, afternoon, and night, and the effect was the same. It’s a pity; I liked it but would never buy it again. Not everyone experiences the same thing; try it and form your own opinion. Scent Opening: 7/10, Dry Down: 4/10, Projection: 4/10, Longevity: 3/10.

Very soft, maybe too soft. The top notes (lavender and lemon) are so subtle that they seem to fade very quickly, and the rest is barely noticeable. Poor longevity, good for smelling clean without standing out. Ideal for daily wear.

  • One of my ultimate perfume enemies, my Achilles’ heel, myryptonite. It’s modern, from that designer brand I’ve attacked so much, but to be honest, I love it. Just like with Habanero by Rania Jouaneh, a complicated scent that many hate but I adore, the same goes for this Gucci Guilty. It mixes acidic citrus, lemonade, with lavender. As it dries down, a sweet floral tone and very light wood emerge. The result is excellent; it dazzles my nose. The curious thing is that it works great on performance; it lasts more than 6-7 hours smelling clearly, even too much if I overapply. It performs better than Chanel AHS, which is sweeter due to tonka. I can’t help it, I love Guilty.

  • You could make a movie called ‘Brother, Where’s My Perfume?’. I put it on and she can’t smell it, but damn, what a beast? Like 70 liters?? And on top of that, they release an ‘Eau’ version… Gucci is the Urdangarin of perfumery, whoever saw you and whoever sees you…

  • It was a surprise at Duty Free. The bottle caught my eye, and I thought it said a lot about the contents. Once I tried it on my wrist, I loved the scent. Longevity was very good, though the projection could be better. What amazed me most was how simple the ingredients are. The downside is the price in Chile—it’s way too expensive. Scent: 8, Longevity: 8, Projection: 5, Price: 4.

  • Lavender and Amalfi lemon opening that refreshes, heart of African neroli with energetic warmth, and a base of patchouli and Virginia cedar that adds moisture. It’s a lemony trail with summer touches, perfect for spring, summer, and fall. Moderate longevity and soft projection. Gucci Guilty Pour Homme smells clean and fresh, but it’s boring, generic, and goes unnoticed; there are better options out there.

  • Orlando_daniel711

Explosive citrus opening that fades into a fresh and spicy note, with a sweet finish. Good for dinner or a party. Not a brutal scent, nor is it bad. My wife loves it and I’ve never received a negative comment; on the contrary, everything is great. I was surprised by the longevity; I thought it wouldn’t last, but after 8 hours I could still smell it.

  • Good perfume, long-lasting on the skin. It’s pricey in Argentina but available. It’s slightly similar to Kevin Platinum (a local brand), but this lasts longer on the skin.

  • To me, a woman, I love it equally on men and women; I see it as unisex. Longevity and intensity could be better, but it smells so good I forgive it. It’s fresh, lemony, aromatic, with lavender and a light bergamot. Ideal for daily use in spring, summer, or autumn; in winter, I think it fades too much. I gifted a 100ml bottle to my boyfriend and he was happier than a clam; I love how it suits him. It’s youthful and carefree, for anyone. The advertising campaign is sexual and juvenile, I don’t like it; it doesn’t match the essence. It has a certain Mediterranean scent; I imagine a lovely, relaxed couple in Provence: her with brown hair and dark eyes, him tanned, bronzed, and muscular, walking happily. The bottle is pretty, simple, and elegant.

  • I tried it for two days in a row even though I don’t own it. Pleasant opening, citrusy with lemon and a rich lavender, a classic in perfumery. Then a middle phase that doesn’t really come through; I have one where the bergamot is the main note (Fleur du Male by JPG) and it doesn’t appear here. The dry down is boring and unremarkable. I liked the opening, but it smells clean and a bit generic. Not bad, it fades with an imperceptible dry down. I notice it works for the office in an air-conditioned room, where it will reach its maximum potential with moderate projection and sillage, but I don’t think it will work well outdoors. Bottle design is pleasant. Overall, it’s safe; it will draw compliments but won’t be memorable or a classic; for that, you have to be risky. I liked it but won’t buy it: it’s expensive, there are better options, and I already have one in my top 5 with a clean scent. PRADA Amber Pour Homme is much better in projection and sillage. Tous For Men Intense is quite similar, with better projection and longevity, though more synthetic.

  • I have mixed feelings about this one. Its DNA seems generic, reminiscent of Versace Pour Homme and Allure with added mint. Gucci is the most elegant of the three, pffft, that lavender and patchouli give it a powdery barbershop vibe, pffft. Unfortunately, poor longevity and minimal sillage, but it’s a total joy to smell. It’s not my signature scent due to those aspects; in the end, that’s what everyone looks for in a perfume.

  • I’d like to have a fragrance in my collection featuring lavender as the star with a modern vibe; this seemed like the option, but due to its short longevity and weak sillage… I’ll keep looking.

  • Very rich, distinguished, and refined aroma, on par with Dior or Armani. Collectors should have it. It’s versatile, perfect for all year, day or night. I received compliments two hours after wearing it. Worth it, although the opening is quite synthetic.

  • beto_ruiz

I went back to using Gucci Guilty Pour Homme after a long time and it was a pleasure. I forgot how rich it smells; it has an appealing balance between citrus, florals, and woods, with a vanilla touch in the EDT. Among mass-market fragrances, this is one of the most underrated. When it launched, it was criticized for being generic and not worthy of Gucci, especially after scents like Envy or Rush. However, its style seems to have foreshadowed hits like Sauvage (closer to Guilty than to Bleu de Chanel). Over time, I’ve valued it more: it’s versatile, smells good, timeless, and while recognizable, it’s less mass-market than others. As long as it’s available, I’ll have a bottle; it could be my signature.

  • Adal_Litmanen

Same old stuff. Smells like another Versace Eros, another Bad Boy, another Invictus… the list goes on forever.

  • Spicy and vanilla-scented, nothing revolutionary but fits perfectly for any occasion. Smells great, lasts a decent amount of time, and has good projection. Most people will like it, and best of all, it’s far from a passing trend.

  • It’s on my list for 2022; with this, I’ll replace La Nuit de l’Homme. I know it’s not a groundbreaking fragrance, nor a beast in projection or longevity, but I love the scent; it’s soft and gentlemanly. The truth is, I tested it with a 5ml mini and loved it from then on; definitely one of my favorites.

  • There are dozens of citrus fragrances combined with lavender and a woody base, but this one stands out for several reasons: it’s perfectly balanced, I see quality in the ingredients (it doesn’t smell synthetic), something simple in composition but well-made. You smell it and know it’s not a typical citrus-woody perfume, but something refined and classy, evoking someone clean and kind, the kind you’d never refuse a favor to. On my skin, the longevity is excellent, reaching 4 hours with decent projection and a good trail (I also know how and where to apply perfumes).

  • It’s an ‘all-rounder’ fragrance. It has everything you want: Amalfi lemon, lavender, vanilla. All in one, you can’t go wrong. It’s not overhyped, buy blind. It’s not a beast mode or complex. You smell good. Projection 1.5 hours; longevity 7 to 8 hours. Would I buy it again? Definitely yes. You can easily consider it a signature scent.

  • For me, one of the best citrus scents I’ve tried. People tell me it has more positive comments than all the Light & Blue fragrances combined, which surely leave those sales looking ridiculous compared to this Gucci from Gucci. One of my must-haves when the heat becomes unbearable, though it’s the most versatile for all-year wear.

  • A fragrance that hardly anyone would dislike. Maybe it won’t catch attention for being very simple or not your type, but I don’t think anyone would smell it and find it repulsive. Lots of lavender that transforms into lavender with vanilla after a few hours. It’s pleasant, but I find it very simple for the price. A few days ago, I tested perfumes at Zara; when I tried Man Silver, I knew I’d smelled it before, I looked it up, and it turns out it’s practically identical to Gucci Guilty Pour Homme, but the longevity is short, about 2 hours. On the other hand, Gucci lasts about 8 hours on my skin without issues. If you like the scent and don’t want to spend too much, Zara’s Man Silver is an excellent choice.

  • Very nice. This perfume is simple, nothing extravagant, and classic, but to be honest, I love it so much. Don’t expect much from its notes: basically, it smells like lemon with lavender and a light woody base, but it’s well-made. Undoubtedly, you don’t need strange or complicated notes to enjoy a good perfume; often less is more, and this is the example. I LOVE GUCCI GUILTY!

  • Hoy toca oler bien

Clean, fresh, and decent fragrance. Perfect for daily use without any fuss. If you want to convey neatness, it fits perfectly. It’s not a great fragrance, but it delivers for its quality and price.

  • It reminds me a lot of Diesel Only The Brave. The difference is that GPH is fresher and muskier, with pink pepper at the start, while OTB has a creamier, warmer amber base. A solid performer for everyday wear without pretensions. The EDP version is still my favorite by far.

  • GUCCI GUILTY POUR HOMME: At first, I thought it was generic and was disappointed, so I put it away… But days later, I used it again and my perception changed completely. Now I feel it like my signature scent: elegant and wearable for any occasion. It’s the ideal all-rounder for normal days requiring sophistication and glamour, the executive aroma of the boardroom leader, with authority and respect, yet not boring. It’s not meant to seduce or draw attention, but to distinguish; it’s serious and has charm. If you’re looking for compliments, this isn’t for you. Citrus, lavender, and woods—a common blend here that highlights Gucci’s class. I like it more now. Scent: 9.0. Projection: subtle, 2 hours. Longevity: max 7-8 hours. Recommend if you can find it at a good price.

  • marcocaurelio

Too much hype for this lemon. It smells citrusy with a watery touch, simple and perfect for everyday summer wear, it does its job. But it’s not the miracle everyone claims; it’s just lemon, no Aqua di Gio vibes. It smells clean, but there are better clones for the price. In its category, it works well, but when it dries down on my skin, that salty note turns me off—I’m not sure if it’s just my perception. Would I recommend it? No, there are more sophisticated options in its range to stand out. 6/10

  • nneestorr

Smells very rich, but I showered with 3ml and it was down to skin-level after two hours. A scam.

  • One of the best men’s perfumes I’ve ever heard 💞 and I just gifted it to my nephew, who is thrilled🪻

  • I’m sorry, but I have to start by saying the performance is lamentable. I don’t hate lavender, which is rare because that note usually bothers me quite a bit. The lemon opening disappears before half an hour and leaves a soft woody note alternating with patchouli. The dry down is very good, creamy, and elegant, but in little more than an hour, everything fades to skin-level. I love reading such opposite reviews. In my case, it’s a bit too crowded; an aroma that doesn’t disgust at all, but also lacks personality.

  • cucurbitáceo

A cosmopolitan, clean, and sensual fragrance. The opening is an explosion of lavender, lemon, and bergamot creating a green, aromatic, and citrusy accord, like ‘bubbly’. Shortly after, cedar and vanilla emerge (patchouli isn’t for me), settling into a dry down that’s a woody mix with a very fine sweet tone and an echo of the beginning that makes it distinctive. It doesn’t last long and doesn’t project much, but the smell is exquisite; if the bottle didn’t cost 50€, I’d bathe in it. It reminds me, in a way, of an Italian cologne like Acqua di Parma, but for a 20-year-old rebel. Comparing it to motorcycles, if Acqua di Parma Colonia is a Bultaco Metralla (I know it’s Spanish), Gucci Guilty EDT is a Ducati Panigale. It was a gift from my mom, who smelled the entire Druni collection to choose it, and my girlfriend loves it, so it must have some appeal. I now have 5 perfumes (few compared to what I see around here), and three months ago I had 6; guess which one I’ve run out of. There are thousands of perfumes with lavender, woods, and citrus, but this one, at least among those I’ve heard of, stands out. A total hit for any occasion and season.

  • It smells clean and pleasant, opening very fresh before turning sweeter and woodier. Easy to wear, and I’ve received compliments with it. It lasts between 4 and 5 hours, projecting well for the first hour. Good perfume.

  • wildkatzen

Clean, crisp, and classic… there are many in that style, but this is Gucci while the others are domestic brands. It’s a signature scent to wear; you’re not looking to impress or get compliments, it’s just your essence and that’s it.

  • I like this original Gucci Guilty for how it balances citrus and sweetness without being cloying. It features a soft, aromatic lavender wrapped in a clean, pleasant orange blossom, all supported by a light citrus base that gives it a fresh, dynamic kick. The result is elegant, luminous, and with a touch of sensuality. On my skin, the biggest flaw is longevity. Although it starts great, it’s down to skin-level in about two hours. In total, it lasts 4-5 hours, though it lingers a bit longer on clothes, leaving a more consistent trail. I mainly wear it in spring and autumn, and also in summer with moderation or at night, because in the heat it can get too dense. The orange blossom reminds me of Gucci Guilty Love Edition (2024) or YSL MYSLF, though here it’s more subdued. It also evokes Nikos Sculpture, but Gucci is more sober, durable, and classy. It even has a vibe similar to YSL Libre Intense, though without the heavy vanilla sweetness or creamy base. Here, everything is cleaner, direct, and linear. It’s a fragrance I enjoy for the scent, especially the orange blossom, though the projection and longevity could be better. I’m considering trying the EDP or Parfum when I finish this bottle, seeking more depth and performance.

  • DELICIOUS BUT TERRIBLE PERFORMANCE The SCENT is top-tier, timeless, and easygoing. It starts with a great bergamot and citrus burst, then moves to lavender, herbal, and woody notes, drying down slightly with a vanilla touch. It’s original; I haven’t heard anything similar except its derivatives. It’s versatile—I prefer it in the heat, but it works in the cold, day or night, casual, and even formal (not black-tie), though it’s not super opulent; the bergamot gives it distinction. I’ve worn it to the office, school, outings, and dates… not the gym, but it would work there. Too bad it didn’t generate spontaneous compliments; I had to ask, and people said nice things, but nothing to break the ice or make them ask about it. It went unnoticed due to the performance. In terms of PERFORMANCE, on skin it lasted about 6 hours at most, projected little, and had no sillage, fading to skin-level in 30 minutes, and I barely noticed it myself. On clothes, it was slightly more noticeable but still subtle, which disappointed me. Its PRICE feels HIGH for what it gives. I enjoyed the smell, especially at first, but I wouldn’t buy it again for the value; maybe it just didn’t work with my chemistry, but those lucky enough to get a better performance will love it. Longevity 6, Projection 5, Sillage 5, Compliments 8, Price 5. TOTAL 5.8.

  • A gift from my mom, and the moment I opened it, I saw its light and shadow sides. PROS: It smells incredible; it’s one of those fragrances that captivates from the first spray to the very end. Super versatile, works for everything: day or night, cold or heat, jeans or a suit. CONS: Despite that, the sillage is very poor and the longevity is ridiculous. If I shower with it, it lasts barely two hours on my skin before vanishing. That’s why I rate it: Scent 10, Longevity 2, Projection 3. Total: 5.

  • Summer 2012, I was 19 in Miami with my sister and brother-in-law. An older friend sold it to me, and I bought it blind. It did nothing for me back then. Maybe I was too young to appreciate it. Fast forward to November 2025, and I have it almost empty—I refuse to let it run out. It’s like that guy who annoys you at first but ends up being your best friend. Gucci Guilty has character; it’s not for kids. That initial mix of lavender and lemon that used to bother me now seems like a jewel. There’s nothing like it. Thanks to that vanilla note in the dry down, which adds mystery, I think it’s better suited for night outs. Forget it for anyone under 20.
