  • I tried it yesterday at a perfumery; out of five tested, this lasted almost 24 hours. The only thing that doesn’t convince me is the baby powder smell, but otherwise it’s balanced, rich, and lasts on my skin almost a full day. It transports me to the 70s and 80s; I love it.

I remember trying it at 13 visiting my sister in Andorra. I was struck by its vulgar-fine, brazen, minimalist packaging, very early 2000s Gucci. It suited her perfectly. Then my aunt copied it, as did her friends and my mother, who was loyal to Victoria’s Secret Carmen and Tresor. My mother became addicted to her body milk, now impossible to find; she only smelled perfumed with it. People asked what perfume she was wearing, and she said it was just a cream. Later she returned to classic perfumes but kept that box of body milk, which I’d hear from time to time. A receptionist colleague used it and left an unbelievable trail in the hotel. I never smelled it again until a few weeks ago. I’m searching for it like my signature. I can’t describe it; it smells like strass, a disco ball, sex, sin, talcum powder, and kids wanting to be older. It transports me. I love it. Out of fear of discontinuation, I got four 75ml bottles at an incredible price; pity the body milk doesn’t exist anymore.

The latest bottles bought in 2019. Gucci Rush plus gallons of alcohol and water is a summer body splash. With all due pain, after these four, I’ll never buy them again. What a rip-off.

I was drawn to it by the reviews and the peach note. Upon trying it, it was a slap of strong, intense, synthetic smell that gave me nausea. I went home without bringing it close to my face, and the scent persisted even after washing. It was a sour, plasticky peach. I don’t recommend it at all, but its longevity and sillage are impressive.

  • It’s a very 90s scent that fits today. The bottle is simple and striking. I bought it at a freeshop and left head over heels because it hasn’t been available in my country for years.

  • IsaacScentLover

We either love or hate Gucci Rush; it’s transgressive, insolent, and synthetic. It smells wrong and forbidden. The opening is shrill alien latex peaches that blend with a heart of rose, gardenia, and spiky jasmine over a base of patchouli, skin-muñeca vanilla, and earthy vetiver. The bottles are magnificent; I have one from 2008 and another from 1999. Avoid the Coty versions from 2015; they’re a shadow of the original, watery and shrill.

  • It’s a different, pleasant synthetic floral, an earthy bouquet where no single flower stands out. It has a nocturnal, sexy vibe but works by day. On my skin, it projects less, but it clings to clothes and lasts all day. I wouldn’t buy it again, but if someone gifts it to me, I enjoy it, even if my mother-in-law says it smells like ‘bath pshiiit’.

  • It’s the only one that turned my stomach, literally made me feel sick. It smells too synthetic, and I run if I smell it on someone, even though it lasts forever and has amazing sillage. If you like it, I recommend it, but if you don’t, it’s unpleasant. I have a friend who wears it, and I feel bad that it’s being discontinued. I feel for her fans.

  • It’s an intense, unforgettable moment. It smells like the young, cosmopolitan, bold woman of the late 90s, enjoying her nightlife without limits. Michael Almirach’s concept of a modern chypre and its minimalist bottle are brilliant. If all current perfumes lasted as long as this, we’d be better off. It polarizes, but its longevity and sillage are incredible. It reminds me of Cacharel’s Eden for that unique creamy, synthetic touch with white flowers, peach, cilantro, patchouli, and vanilla. It’s not for everyone; you need to like woody florals. The gardenia seems mixed with magnolia. It has that nod to the 50s peach chypre, updated. Comparing it to Deci Dela is like comparing a girl with dolls to an adult woman in a movie. Bravo, a little goes a long way.

I never thought I’d love it; the reviews promised something else. But what luck to have olfactory surprise days like this with Gucci Rush. I’m not sure if it’s the original or reformulated, but it’s worth trying.

  • Very good. It’s an excellent floral-fruity blend, super summery, for going out day and night. Explosive cocktail of sparkling notes. It reminds me a lot of Eau Jeune L’Insoumise, the red bottle, ummmm, early years of college, what nostalgia! It’s long-lasting and has good sillage. It inspires good vibes, joy, happiness… You’ll love it!

  • MissOlores

I sprayed it on my wrist two and a half hours ago, and on my skin it creates that weird mix that gives me nausea; until now, only Kenzo Elephant (this was worse) had given me this. There’s something in Rush that reminds me of Elephant, that spicy sweetness I can’t stand. After some time, the intensity dropped, but the first two hours were horrible.

  • I do love it, since my adolescence. Yes, it’s synthetic, but no other scent smells like Gucci Rush, very sexy…

  • We all know perfumes bring memories. When I was little, I’d go see my brother far away, and we’d take a bus with a strong, synthetic air freshener. Mixed with the smells of people and the transport, it gave me automatic nausea. Many times I’d get off due to sickness. Gucci Rush reminds me of that air freshener. A girl at my job used to wear it and I’d keep getting sick, but today I tried it on my skin and I know what I was referring to. It’s a scent that gives me immediate discomfort, headaches, and nausea. To make it worse, I hate the peach note in perfumes. I don’t deny it lasts long, but it’s my misfortune.

  • My signature scent, the one where I feel most comfortable and many people identify with me. Tom Ford, the king of ‘porn-chic’ in the late 90s, created something that fit perfectly with Gucci’s new image. Rush is narcotic, sexual, insolent, transgressive, synthetic, vulgar… a chypre that isn’t a chypre in the old sense. In times of flankers and IFRA-diluted perfumes, finding something like this is a surprise. It has sillage that fills rooms and lasts over 12 hours.

  • Super imposing, intense, with a lot of presence, leaves a trail, and lasts forever. Impressive. Love it or hate it. For winter parties. Without a doubt, it doesn’t go unnoticed. I used it, forgot about it, and then I loved it; I used it again and it lasted years without losing quality. If it comes back, I’ll buy it without a doubt.

  • Did Gucci Rush get reformulated? I have an August 2021 batch that barely smells when sprayed, with no projection or sillage. Subtle… They say it was potent before, but I never tried it. I liked the scent; on my skin, the peach, gardenia, and patchouli stand out. I recommend trying it if you liked it but found it overwhelming. Now it’s a tamed ferocious beast.

  • Something weird happened to me: I got dizzy. Not a metaphor, literally my blood pressure dropped and I got nauseous. I detected a synthetic note, like rubber or gum. Was it bad? Or maybe something just rejects me… Though that makes it interesting, haha. Maybe I’ll try it again if I’m in the mood (I’ll bring menthol candies). Edit: I read I’m not the only one. What a controversial perfume, it awakens passions and hatreds. I’ll return, but mentally prepared.

  • Although it may sound strange, here you get patchouli, flowers, and spices, but also a high-end toy plastic smell, like a Magdalena doll. Maybe the blend reminds me of a floral-fruity formula from a toy. At first, it’s sharp, then it becomes synthetic and surprising. It’s unique, rich, and perfect for a robot with lab ingredients. Worth it, and many people use it as if it were their own. Smells like patchouli toy. *Only works with a small amount*.

  • I had high hopes, but reality was harsh: I bought it blindly and finding it here in Mexico is a nightmare. The longevity is minimal and it projects nothing; a bad buy at a high price. For this style, Hypnose by Lancôme is a thousand times better; the purple one smells the same. Edit: On clothes, it’s delicious—smells like new vinyl and ripe strawberries, I imagine how it was before the reform.

  • Perfumesjuveniles

I’m crazy to try it but I think I’m too late; I can’t find it in stores and I don’t dare buy it blindly on Notino. Do you know any equivalence houses that replicate it well???

  • Perfumesjuveniles

I bought it for €50 at a Duty Free, knowing they’re discontinuing it and I didn’t want to miss the opportunity. The bottle and the vibe attracted me a lot; I think it’s a perfume Kate Moss could have worn in her youth. The scent is pleasant, quite far from what’s used today, and it’s good to have something different. However, honestly, I don’t know where people get the idea that it’s long-lasting; it must be the previous version; the one I bought lasts less than Zara perfumes. I applied it this morning at 10:30 and it’s almost 5 PM and obviously there’s no trace left on my skin or clothes. It’s very pretty but I regret buying it a bit due to its poor performance; I also don’t feel it’s as nocturnal as people comment. Edit to say I stand by what I said and what a disappointment, it’s been the biggest perfume disappointment of my life; it must be the reformulation, but the sillage and longevity are terrible.

  • This is the first time a perfume has caused me so much rejection. It goes beyond just not being for me… I actually hate the smell. Better not to buy it blindly because its aroma is very particular.

  • Stephaniemvp

I received it today with great sadness that it’s been reformulated. Nothing like what I tested 15 years ago; the previous version smelled delicious, something addictive. I don’t understand why they change formulas so much; I wouldn’t buy it blindly.

  • This scent confuses me, and not in a bad way, but I feel it’s missing something, perhaps in the notes. It definitely resembles, or rather complements excellently, Animale Animale, the one in the purple bottle. It lifts my spirits when I’m down, but I prefer Animale Animale; I feel the latter is more opulent, whereas Gucci Rush feels a bit lame, plus it doesn’t last long.

  • Another masterpiece from Gucci in the Tom Ford era. It’s incredible that Gucci has so many discontinued gems. Just by reviving these Tom Ford era gems, they’d sell non-stop. Just look at the prices online for Envy and this one in its original version made by Scannon; the current one made by Coty is still available at a good price and, although it’s not what it used to be, it remains a very good option and keeps the Rush essence.

  • If you want a perfume with great sillage, long-lasting power, and an uncommon aroma, you must try it. Unfortunately, it’s not for me, as its cilantro note is very pronounced and that note just doesn’t work with me. I must admit it’s not a bad perfume, just recommend testing before buying.

  • Mitafragance

The hype makes me curious, and I own this perfume, but the two or three times I’ve sprayed it gave me nausea. I don’t know if I should give it more chances or sell it.

  • Persefonex

I must confess this was a friend’s perfume 20 years ago and I didn’t trust her taste. However, I read Spartacus’s review and got curious. The opening is very patchouli and even vulgar; but then comes the jasmine, gardenia, and peach, turning it into a stunningly feminine scent. It reminded me of Benetton’s Tribe, only Rush by Peach is sweeter. The rose blends beautifully with the jasmine. I’m fascinated by it, though it definitely smells like an old-school perfume, something Samantha would wear in Sex and the City. I recommend it better for night; because it smells like that: stiletto heels, red lips, cleavage, champagne, and sex.

  • Mitafragance

I had an old review of this perfume and today, after trying it again, I’m updating my thoughts: it smells very characteristic. For the first time in a while, I smelled it and instead of the initial nausea, it seemed strangely sexy and intimate. It sparked my curiosity to keep experimenting with it; the most interesting thing is that it smells this way and, according to my nose, it’s truly unique. As a side note, the bottle looks like a terrifying, very kitsch nightmare, but it’s certainly different.

  • Hard to get used to at first, then it hooks you. A feminine elixir in a red and ugly bottle, to be honest. Extremely sensual and erotic, be careful, some bold friend might whisper indecent things in your ear. The perfect witness to the 90s, representing transgression, luxury, and a desire to live without thinking about tomorrow. Once you smell it, the night begins and the city lights turn on. Vodka Bull, Gin Tonic, or a white Martini with an olive. Ready for the cathedrals of music. I remember the warm-up of friends who seemed like goddesses thinking about guys coming over. Loud music, wild, hot bodies, sweaty crowds, foggy clubs, and temptations. I also remember the birds that wouldn’t let me sleep and Sundays that didn’t start until 3 PM. Rush has a bright floral character, almost innocent but erotic. I detect the top with freesia, gardenia, and sweet peach. Then comes the coriander, very spicy. Over time, patchouli and vanilla. It stays sweet, fruity, and spicy. I like it a lot. All this with an overdose of milky fruity lactones in a bubbling chemical cocktail where no one knows what’s from where. Rush isn’t common; it gets lost in monotony. Outstanding longevity (the Scannon version is the best, now produced by Coty, a bit weaker and less dense, though acceptable). The power of perfumes is impressive. I’m here with coffee, writing this, and reminiscing about old times. Thanks to two sprays on my wrist.

  • It has an interesting DNA, very 90s but done right. I see it perfect for work or a signature scent, though it has a lot of personality. It reminds me of Cacharel’s Eden, but younger, more carefree, and less complicated. It leaves a mark and can be polarizing. I see it as elegant, original, and a bit punk. Yes, it’s synthetic, but I don’t get why that’s negative now. The future is synthetic. Very good longevity, about 8 hours, projects easily for the first 2. I see it as unisex leaning feminine. The bottle is… quite uncomfortable xD

  • A coworker wears it and we ASK HER TO WEAR IT because we love it 😍. It’s one of the most delicious, fine, long-lasting, and best-scented fragrances on the market. Wish they’d make more gems like this 🙏🏻. Personally, I think it works best on cool days. It’s beautiful ❤️❤️❤️

  • I got the 2023 batch and it smells like plastic. Very synthetic aroma. Obviously a bad purchase, won’t be buying it again, nothing like the YouTube reviews.

  • anamaestracorreo

The new reformulation smells like those vanilla-scented plastic bottles sold to raise funds for children with cancer. It doesn’t smell bad… but that’s all it is.

  • anamaestracorreo

Just received Delilah Blanc and it smells exactly like this, just softer :/

  • My first review and it couldn’t be about any other perfume than the one I’ve worn for 20 years 🥰, until it was discontinued. Seems like they’ve brought it back to stores and the official website 😁😁. I’m not an expert, but here’s my take: it’s unique, instantly recognizable, and lasts forever. Put it on your clothes and it lasts for days. It smells like ‘artificial’ fruit, not juicy peach, with an aromatic touch (maybe ginger) and a powerful patchouli. I don’t detect any florals. Ideal for fall and winter 🍁❄️, not fresh, but with care, you can wear it year-round. Perfect for night 🌛, sexy and addictive. They say it has pheromones, I don’t know if that’s possible, but it creates magnetism. With fewer sprays, it works for daytime without being overwhelming. They say it’s for adults, I’ve been wearing it since 18 and it doesn’t smell like ‘old lady’. I tried X by Clive Christian and it’s very similar, but Clive is denser and less ‘fresh’. I stick with Gucci Rush. Give it a chance, there’s no other scent like it 😍

  • Back in the 90s, when I was a little kid, I fell in love. I’ve had it for years; I keep a nearly full bottle I never use, but it’s ‘for me, forever’. Two friends discovered it and I gifted it to them… OH! SURPRISE, they didn’t like it as much because mine was oxidized and what they loved was that slightly rancid note. Believe it or not. I’ll leave mine with them, but I’m not giving it away. Gucci Rush, if you were born now, you’d be viral. You have unique personality and originality.

  • It was the scent I kept thinking about before even trying it. Did I smell it when I was little? XD. I bought it blind because there were no testers, probably because it’s an oldie. I absolutely love it; it smells weird and special. It says it has peach, but it’s acidic, not sure if synthetic, but nothing like the typical sweet stuff I hate. This one is different. Maybe the rest of the notes do the magic ✨. They say it smells like plastic, maybe subtly, and I’m actually a fan of that XD
