  • I walked into Zara looking for Vibrant Leather and found this gem. There’s been a lot of talk about the poor performance of that one, so before buying it, I sprayed it on my wrist, but next to it was the Cool Heights bottle with that elegant, juicy blue, so I decided to try it on the other arm. Immediately, its citrus and spicy aroma captivated me, catching my attention from the start, and I left to keep shopping. An hour later, Vibrant Leather had vanished, but Cool Heights was still potent; it was already in its second stage, a leather scent accompanied by its floral notes projecting elegance and cleanliness. I returned to the store thinking that if it lasted four hours, it would be worth it for its ridiculous price. At home, my surprise was that after six hours, I was still catching whiffs of this fragrance. Personally, I recommend it for its price-to-quality ratio; it seems the perfumer heard all the criticisms about Vibrant Leather’s longevity and improved his work with this one.

  • I can’t stop smelling it. For me, Cool Heights doesn’t surpass Vibrant Leather. The latter starts with a delicious citrus: an acidic but not bitter bergamot, with pineapple and ginger, like an iced lemonade over leather. Cool Heights lacks a clear top note; it’s more of a haze of scents where bergamot, pepper, and sweet flowers make the opening feel like the base rather than the top. The high notes are more floral and spicy than citrus, over a smoky leather that fades slowly. In Vibrant Leather, my nose detects that top note of iced bergamot, pineapple, and ginger for much longer—refreshing, exquisite, and well-defined over soft leather. In Cool Heights, from the start it seems like base over base, with nothing standing out, though it smells good (a smoky, spicy sweet citrus). It’s warmer, sweeter, and more complex in nuances, but lacks definition or roundness in my opinion.

Cool Heights is a delicious masculine fragrance, a mix of violet, prominent wood, and leather, with a bergamot opening that fades. Its standout feature is longevity and projection: the sillage is intermittent; you perceive it in bursts, then it disappears only to return when you thought it was gone. That’s how you can smell it up to 7 hours later. It’s created by Jerome Epinette, a perfumer who previously worked with Zara on Vibrant Leather, Vibrant Leather Oud, Greenery, and White SoHo. ~ YezusPerfumo

Cool Heights smells of violets with wood and leather, starting with bergamot that fades away. The best thing is its projection: in intermittent bursts that reappear when you think they’re gone, lasting up to 7 hours. Created by Jerome Epinette, who already worked on Zara with fragrances like Vibrant Leather.

A pleasant surprise; of all the Zara scents, this is the best in quality/durability. It blends well with my skin, starting with a strong opening where you can already detect leather/wood (and a hint of tobacco, even though it’s not listed). After 1-2 hours, the leather loses its punch and the floral tint emerges—a pleasant, masculine tone, subtly sweetened by amber, with tonka bean noticeable in the base, which confuses things a bit. I agree with YezusPerfumo: the projection and sillage are moderate and intermittent, like Molecule 01, expressing itself when it wants. It has superior quality for the cost; it’s clearly well-designed. For those who like these notes, I recommend buying it before it gets discontinued, as Zara tends to do. It lasted hours on my skin with a pleasant aroma that makes you want to bring your nose closer. It’s my first Zara fragrance that I actually like and recommend. I prioritize quality and personal taste: if it’s cheap and I don’t like it, I won’t buy it; if it’s expensive and I love it, I wait for the moment (except for crazes like Creed’s Aventus, which is an overpriced mess… though it has its fans). I invite you to test it; I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. It’s versatile, but I see it for autumn/spring and daytime use, though that’s personal.

Pleasant surprise: out of all the Zara fragrances I tried, this is by far the best quality-to-longevity combination. It suits my skin well with a strong opening where the leather/wood is already manifest (and a bit of tobacco, even though it’s not listed in the notes). After 1-2 hours, the leather loses some punch and the floral tint appears, but it’s a masculine tone, kind to the nose, subtly sweetened by amber, and in the background, you can perceive the tonka bean, which confuses things a bit. I agree with YezusPerfumo: the projection and sillage are moderate and intermittent, something like Molecule 01 that expresses itself when it feels like it. It’s a perfume with quality far superior to the cost, well-designed; for those who like these notes, I recommend buying it before it gets discontinued, as Zara tends to do. The longevity on the skin was hours, with a very pleasant aroma, one of those you want to bring your nose close to every now and then. First Zara perfume that really convinces me and that I can recommend; I always prioritize quality and my taste over price: if it’s cheap and I don’t like it, I don’t buy it, and if it’s expensive and I love it, I wait for the moment (except for crazes like Creed’s Aventus, which costs a fortune… although it has its fans). I invite you to test it and hope you enjoy it as much as I do; it’s very versatile, but I see it as suitable for autumn, spring, and daytime use, though that’s very personal.

Cool Heights is part of the Zara New York collection, along with White SoHo and Greenery. The opening is fruity and citrusy, fresh, with sweet berries, cherries, oranges, zest, and a juice-like aroma. After testing it in-store, I took 2-3 hours to discover its evolution. It reminds me of Paco Rabanne’s Black XS only at the start, then it takes a different path and becomes full of subtle woody and smoky nuances. I have to be honest, it’s much higher quality than I expected and is one of Zara’s most durable. It lasts all day if you wear it to the office; the sillage is good but not bothersome. To me, it’s deep, elegant, and sophisticated, for lovers of complex, dark, and smoky nuances. Autumn is the best period, both day and night. ~ Claudio

Cool Heights from the ZARA New York collection opens with a citrus and fruity explosion, like sweet berries, cherries, and oranges with peel, as if it were pure juice. After trying it in the store, it took me 2-3 hours to see how it evolves. Although it reminds me a bit of Paco Rabanne’s Black XS at the beginning, it then takes another direction and becomes subtle, woody, and smoky. I have to be honest, it smells much better than I expected and is one of the longest-lasting ones I’ve tried at Zara. It lasts all day at the office, with a powerful trail but without being annoying. It’s deep, elegant, and sophisticated, ideal for those seeking dark and complex nuances. Autumn is its reign, perfect for day and night.

  • After buying it blind based on reviews, I find it notable. The opening is a bit strange and murky, but within minutes it settles into a sweet, powdery, and fresh scent that’s very pleasant, where the body note with violet takes the lead, accompanied by leather and pepper. I don’t perceive it as citrusy at all. Cool Heights has excellent projection in the first 3-4 hours and wide sillage, though it fluctuates constantly, fading in and returning intermittently. The longevity is good, 6-7 hours on my skin, going skin-deep after the fifth hour. I see it as versatile for any occasion and season. Highly recommended for the low price.

I bought it blindly based on the reviews and it has seemed notable to me. The opening is a bit murky and confusing, but in minutes it settles into a sweet, powdery, and fresh aroma, where the violet stands out with a touch of leather and pepper; nothing citrusy. Cool Heights projects well for the first 3-4 hours with good sillage, although it comes and goes in an intermittent way. The longevity is good, about 6-7 hours on my skin, until it drops to skin-level after the fifth hour. I see it as very versatile for any occasion and season. Highly recommended for the price.

  • oguhlegna

It’s pretty good; not a powerhouse, but I like it. It works well in the heat; I think it would perform better in the cold. When I applied it, it reminded me of my Black XS, which has worse performance than the Paco Rabanne one, but considering the cost, it’s more than adequate.

  • paolobertucci

What about the pineapple? Haha. At first, it smells great—very fruity and sweet with a slight spicy undertone. After an hour and a half, it calms down; the dry-down is lovely, sweet but not loud, and you notice more of that spice, something floral and dry leather. It feels synthetic but not ugly. It lacks much dynamic range and might get boring. Up close, it lasts until 7 hours. For the price, it offers great value. It’s youthful, doesn’t smell like Invictus or One Million, starts flashy and then becomes a good, quiet companion. Very versatile and nice to wear.

  • It doesn’t hook me because of a note I can’t define, probably the amber (and I hate ambroxan). It smells like everything young people use and is overused, like Sauvage or One Million; that note repels me and takes the taste away from the rest, so I regret the purchase.

  • I don’t like it because of one note I can’t quite define; I think it’s the amber (and I hate ambroxan). It smells like all the trendy young guys’ colognes, like Sauvage, One Million, or Invictus. That note makes me gag and ruins the rest of the experience. I bought it and I regret it.

  • I bought it blind because it was on sale during Black Friday and I saw YouTube reviews, but it was a total letdown. Not only do I dislike the smell, it gives me a headache, and it does to others too. I can’t pinpoint the note since I’m new to this, but something at the end just doesn’t work for me. Maybe it’s for older people; at 24, I haven’t liked it at all, what a shame.

  • At first, it’s weird; I wasn’t sure if I’d like it. The opening doesn’t sit well with me, but after 10 minutes, it turns everything around for the better. It becomes super fruity and sweet. It’s strong at first, then turns very pleasant. The dry-down is strange, but the settling is the best part. Don’t buy blind, but it smells good. Scent: 7/10, Longevity: 7/10, Projection: 7/10, Sillage: 7/10, Value: 9/10, Blind Buy: 4/10. Perfect for spring and summer.

  • I bought it blindly on Black Friday and jumped in based on the reviews, but it was a total failure. Not only do I not like the scent, but it gives me a headache, and others do too. I don’t know which note it is, but something at the end doesn’t convince me. Maybe it’s for more mature people; at 24 years old, I haven’t liked it at all.

Smells like an 80s ice cream, specifically the FRIGURON from Frigo, with that smoked synthetic pineapple note that I absolutely love.
