My first Mancera and definitely not the last one. I love it! At first, it smells like those classic rose and oud perfumes, but once the rose shifts to orchid and coconut gets added, the effect is completely different. Initially, you can detect that animal and medicinal touch of oud (though I’m not sure if it’s actually in there, it just feels that way), which then fades away. As it dries down, the orchid and vanilla take over. It reminds me a bit of Van Cleef & Arpels’ Orchidée Vanille, but with more flower, less vanilla, and it lasts much longer. For me, it’s unisex, perfect for daytime, very versatile with weather and season. In short, it’s an incredibly rich sweet floral with amazing longevity and you can find it cheap online (70€/120ml). A great surprise: Aoud Orchid. I bought it blind as a secondhand item, but it was actually brand new. It feels more feminine at first, but the scent shifts dramatically on skin. In my opinion, it’s very versatile. It’s a heavy fragrance, a kind of floral-petrol vibe with notes of gasoline and asphalt, reminding me of the Wood Wood Orchid version. The opening has a very subtle hint of coconut and peach that vanishes within minutes. I don’t find it fruity at all; instead, the crushed floral aspect of the orchid is very heavy and becomes sweeter as the hours pass. The liquid is very oily. If you’re thinking of wearing it, I’d recommend testing it on your skin first, rather than judging it from a dry-down spray. It changes a lot on skin.

Big surprise with Aoud Orchid. I bought it blind second-hand but it was brand new. On paper, it smells more feminine, but on skin, everything changes. In my opinion, it’s very versatile. It’s a heavy scent, like a floral petrol, gasoline, asphalt vibe; it reminds me of Wind Wood with an orchid twist. You notice a slight coconut and peach at the start that vanish in minutes. It’s not fruity, but rather a heavy, crushed floral note of orchids that becomes sweeter over time. The liquid is very oily. If you try it, apply it to skin, don’t trust the spray on blotting paper. It changes drastically once applied.

To date, I’ve bought four blind Mancera Unisex perfumes, and I feel they lean more feminine, but with Aoud Orchid, I’d say it’s about 70% more masculine. It’s a shame because, based on the notes, I thought it would be more wearable for women; there’s myrrh, patchouli, musk, and an overflowing orchid. Everything I can perceive in this perfume is perfect for men. Do I like it? Absolutely. But if my partner, brother, or father wore it, that would be ideal.

A bit of a deceptive fragrance at first. I bought it because orchid is my wife’s favorite flower. When she tried it, she didn’t smell the orchid and wasn’t fully convinced, but what a surprise when my little daughter tried it—she smells absolutely amazing on her, with the coconut and vanilla notes really coming through. I was pleasantly surprised; my daughter is now asking to have it for herself. Definitely a great purchase.

It’s a unique fragrance for my nose, honestly, I’d never smelled anything like it. It’s very delicate; the standout notes are orchid and coconut—the coconut is perfectly balanced, neither too sweet nor too creamy. You can also detect the subtle citrus undertones and patchouli. However, I feel it leans more masculine, not sure if it’s just my skin chemistry. The longevity is excellent, and it’s a truly beautiful scent.

Delicious, with considerable longevity (about 8 hours). I wouldn’t categorically say it’s more masculine, as on me (a woman) it never felt or turned masculine in any way. That said, for those not used to niche fragrances, it’s better to test before buying. If you already know Mancera, it’s a safe purchase.

Highly recommended. Absolutely delicious, I can’t find any similarity with the perfumes I already have. Lasts many hours on skin, but days on clothes. For me, it’s a 10/10.
