Descripción
Angel Eau Sucrée 2017 by Mugler is an oriental vanilla fragrance for women. Launched in 2017, this composition was created by perfumer Dorothée Piot. The top notes evoke a sorbet, citrus, and red berries; the heart reveals a meringue and caramel; while the base notes settle on a foundation of vanilla and patchouli.

If you love sweet and gourmand perfumes, this limited edition is a luxury still available. Where the original felt like confit patchouli, here a trendy red fruity sweetness shines with incredible creaminess. Ripe, syrupy red fruits leave a trail of cake with cream and caramel. It works great for day and night, with superb longevity and a more pleasant sillage than the original Angel, which feels more aggressive and rigid. Ideal for young (and not-so-young) people who want to smell tasty and appetizing. It wears well in warm months because it’s less dense, but its great virtue is that attractive fruity note. I like it: it’s fun and sensual, and the price is good, matching its huge potential compared to the watered-down versions that are now skyrocketing in price.
Top perfume. I love red fruits, especially that sweetness that smells like unrefined raw cane sugar; it fascinates me. It’s sweet but not cloying. It lasts longer than the Classic Angel, though it’s for spring and summer, ideal for cool nights out with friends. I paid a steal, and I’m surprised by how long it lasts and how gorgeous the bottle is, assuming it won’t come back, what a pity.
Top perfume. I love red fruits, especially that sugary note that smells like unrefined raw cane sugar; it fascinates me. It’s sweet but not cloying. It lasts longer than the Classic Angel, though it’s more of a spring-summer scent, ideal for cool nights out with friends. I paid a steal, and I’m surprised by how long it lasts and how gorgeous the bottle is, assuming it won’t come back. What a pity.
I love it! I already have the 2015 limited edition, the 2018 fruity fair, and this 2017 one; the 2017 is very similar to the 2018 but has different notes. It’s cheerful, youthful, and fun, very wearable if you like sweet, fruity, and fresh scents. Red fruits and whipped cream stand out, an aroma that makes you feel happy and positive. In my opinion, it’s for young (and not-so-young) people, for daytime, in spring and summer, though it also works well in cool autumn. It lasts a long time on skin and clothes, with a medium-to-high sillage but without being overwhelming. Perfect for daily wear or social commitments like eating with friends or a family gathering. It smells delicious! But test before buying, because sometimes you buy blindly based on good reviews and then it doesn’t suit you due to pH or personal taste, which has happened to me several times!
Arrived yesterday via mail. At first, it smells like bitter citrus with sugar, but within an hour all that disappears, leaving only a cloying sweetness. In the dry-down, it’s just that sweet note with a touch of red fruit. It’s decent, long-lasting, and projects well, but it’s nothing special for me; it has nothing to do with the original Angel. It’s very wearable, daily, and timeless. I recommend it for casual use, but it falls short for special occasions.

I love it!! I have the 2015 limited edition Angel Sucrée, the 2018 Angel Fruity Fair, and this 2017 Angel Sucrée in my collection. I must say the 2017 version is tremendously similar to the 2018, though it has two or three different notes. It’s a cheerful, youthful, fun fragrance! Very wearable if you like sweet, fruity, and fresh scents. Red strawberries and whipped cream (or marshmallow) stand out; it’s an aroma that makes you feel happy and positive. In my humble opinion, I see it for young and not-so-young people, for daytime and in spring and summer, though it wouldn’t be bad for a cool autumn. It has good longevity on skin and much more on clothes; its sillage is medium-high but not invasive. It can be used for daily wear and social commitments, like meetings with friends, semi-formal office or family dinners. It truly smells delicious! But it’s better to try it before buying it, like all fragrances. We’ve all been there where we buy blind after reading good reviews, only to find it doesn’t match our taste or chemistry; it’s happened to me several times. Boo!! ☹️
I clearly detect the Angel DNA, though it’s much more wearable. It’s very sweet but fresher. You can detect whipped cream and red fruits, and the patchouli feels lighter. I see it as a summer scent; in fact, I’ve been wearing it for the last month. It’s one of those perfumes I could particularly use in any season, day or night, as long as going unnoticed isn’t an issue. Longevity is magnificent on me, about 12 hours, with a good sillage. Bottle is absolutely gorgeous, as expected from Mugler. Scent 8/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 8/10, Value 7/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 10/10. Would I buy again? No. EDIT: For some reason, the scent has ended up tiring me a bit. Now I perceive its opening as very mentholated. Maybe I’ll swap it.

I see it as suitable for summer, and in fact, I’ve been using it. It’s one of those perfumes I could personally wear in any season, both day and night, as long as I don’t mind not going unnoticed. Its longevity is magnificent on me, about 12 hours, and it has good sillage. Beautiful bottle as is typical of Mugler. Super sweet, it reminds me of those little candies I can’t remember the name of, the heart and star ones I used to eat as a kid; I love them ❤️
At first, a hit of patchouli straight out of the box, but then everything changed: that sophisticated mix of sugar and little candies stuck to my skin like a child asking for attention. I think we’ll be great friends, because the original Angel is already my go-to fragrance. I recommend it for all year and any time; it’s an all-terrain perfume, though being from Mugler, not everyone will like it. I bought it blind; I know some prefer to test before, but in general, it’s gorgeous. It’s not cloying or overwhelming, though I adore that patchouli, so testing beforehand isn’t a bad idea, as I’ve already said.
At first, it hit me with a punch of patchouli; it was noticeable as soon as I took it out of the box. Then I felt that sophisticated note of sugar and little candy sweets. It stuck to my skin and refuses to leave; I think we’ll be great friends, since the original Angel is my signature fragrance. Definitely recommend for all year and all hours; it’s an all-terrain perfume, but being a Mugler, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I bought it blind, but I know there are those who should try it first. Overall, a beautiful perfume; I recommend it. It’s not cloying or invasive, but wow, I adore that patchouli; trying before buying isn’t a bad idea.
Consciously, I’m getting addicted to Mugler, and specifically the Angel line, which I used to avoid so much. First came Angel Muse, then its toilet version, and now this Angel Sucrée. Super wearable, nothing intrusive, with a distinct DNA. On my skin, those sweet notes fade quickly into a subtle caramel and noticeable red berries, until it evaporates and turns into a very woody aroma. It was a limited edition but can still be found if you look hard enough. I loved it, but unfortunately, it doesn’t have good longevity on my skin. I think it would be perfect for a summer night. I’ll keep going with Mugler, and maybe someday I’ll dare to try the original Angel, which I haven’t tried yet.
Sweet and fresh, caramel, marshmallow, citrus, subtle yet with presence, sensual and warm. It can be worn at night, or during the day if you want to stand out; it’s not for daily summer use. I recommend it; I would buy it again. It lasts a long time and has a distinct identity.
I’m a lover of the classic Thierry Mugler Angel, but its derivatives always arrive late, after they’ve been discontinued… Today, this 2017 Eau Sucrée entered my life. I like it! It has that gourmand DNA, but much fresher and lighter, talc-like, with a cosmetic touch reminiscent of classic Revlon perfumes from the 80s, like makeup or compact powders. You can tell it’s fruity; I detect citrus. I don’t sense the sorbet, marshmallow, or caramel, but rather a vanilla that barely lingers and patchouli. I imagined this ‘sugary water’ to be much sweeter, in the style of the classic Angel, but no… it’s sweet but very restrained. I didn’t expect it to be like this, but it doesn’t disgust me. I would have liked it to be a bit sweeter, living up to its name. Its dry-down reminds me of its successor, Angel Eau Croisière 2020; I imagine that’s because they’re cousins. Although I didn’t expect it, it hasn’t disappointed me. I like it! It’s versatile; you can wear it whenever and anytime because it’s not overwhelming. It has presence, but unfortunately, it doesn’t last long on my skin. It’s very beautiful and has something that makes it addictive.
I’m not sure if I like it or hate it. It’s very sweet, but I perceive it as citrusy and mentholated. On my skin, it smells like super-sweet lemon and sugar mints. It lasts for hours, just like the rest of the Mugler line.
Zero pleasantness. It made me dizzy and nauseous. I sold it immediately; the marshmallow and sorbet notes just gross me out 🙁
What a pity! It wasn’t worth being the ‘original angel’s’ daughter; it’s just another run-of-the-mill perfume.
