Descripción

Amber Fever by Mancera is an oriental vanilla fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2019, this olfactory composition features a sweet and spicy caramel, whisky, tonka bean, and hazelnut accord in the top notes. The heart reveals a soft, romantic florality with rose petals, violet, and Indian jasmine, while the base settles on a warm, woody foundation of amber, white musk, teakwood, and oakmoss.

  • I just finished a 2ml decant and can’t write a full review yet because I need more time and less cold weather; I wore it in winter. Among my 15 Manceras, Amber Fever is the softest. It lacks the projection of Instant Crush, Wild Python, or Velvet Vanilla. The opening is soft but firm, very creamy; on skin, sandalwood and almonds stand out, with a hint of rose as it dries down. It lasts 6-7 hours close to the skin. It’s for self-indulgence—super comforting, warm, and unique. It feels like a warm hug, like a new mom or a 15-year-old boy fresh out of the shower, a mix of innocence and magic. I thought with whiskey notes it would be sensual and night-time, but it’s not! It makes me feel wrapped in warmth and special, so I’m not buying it now, but I’m not ruling it out for personal enjoyment.

  • I don’t know which one I got or the one above, but mine lasted 16 hours on skin with huge projection and sillage. The scent is subtle yet fills the whole house, smelling of caramel and amber.

  • I agree with Luisma… I got a sample and tried it. I have a handkerchief hanging at the entrance, and after two days, I can still catch the trail when I walk by. Incredible. If this is the least intense from the brand, I’ll have to discover the others. It left a great impression.

  • This perfume is everything I was looking for in Instant Crush: soft, sweet, and sophisticated. It’s like Baccarat Rouge 540 but more intense—you can smell it from across the room, and the longevity is insane, lasting for weeks even after washing.

  • Lovely Lady 17

I was stunned: it’s too similar to Byron Parfums’ Mula Mula and at half the price. It doesn’t resemble the 540, Instant Crush, or Burberry Her at all. I know all of them, which is why I’m commenting on the striking similarity I found with that gorgeous Mula Mula.

  • Lovely Lady 17

I was absolutely blown away: it smells way too much like Mula Mula by Byron Parfums and at half the price. It has nothing to do with BR540, Instant Crush, or Burberry Her. I know all of them and can confidently say the resemblance to that beautiful Mula Mula is striking.

  • Amazing! I love it. To my nose, it’s the feminine and versatile version of the same house’s Instant Crush, which I also adore, but I prefer IC on men’s skin or for women’s nighttime use because it’s a monster in terms of power, trail, and fixation. This one is softer, with a medium trail—it’s like the shy little brother of IC. I loved it. NOTE: even though its trail is medium, it lasts 10 hours on my skin.

  • Wonderful perfume, cozy, with a sweet and crunchy nutty touch. It’s like a hazelnut liqueur, but it falls short in one area: an overdose of white musk. Lately, my nose rejects those tons of this typical Mancera note. The trail is weaker than its predecessors, but the longevity is high. If you, like me, couldn’t stand Instant Crush (it made me dizzy and nauseous), give this a try.

Reminds me a bit of Mancera’s Precious Oud, but this one is sweeter. I think the caramel note gives it a more intense and feminine vibe. It has excellent longevity. It’s perfect for fall, winter, and cool summer nights. I put it on a handkerchief and can still smell it days later. It’s not gourmand, but it does have a sweet touch. Smells very distinguished and elegant.

  • Reina Amigdala

I think this is my second favorite Mancera. Warm and cozy aroma; I detect hazelnut, whiskey, amber, caramel, and the house’s typical musk. At first, it smells a bit like alcohol (due to the whiskey), but as it dries down, it becomes sweeter. It doesn’t feel elegant or sexy to me; rather, it’s hugging, yet magnificent. Lasts about 10 hours with moderate projection.

I think this is my second favorite Mancera. It’s a very warm and cozy scent; I detect hazelnut, whiskey, amber, caramel, and the house’s typical musk. At first, it’s a bit boozy due to the whiskey, but as it dries down, it becomes sweeter. It doesn’t feel elegant or sexy to me—it’s more of a hug, but magnificent. It lasts about 10 hours with moderate projection.

  • It has nothing to do with Instant Crush, so be careful. It lasts forever—I wore it all day and after a wash on a t-shirt, it was still there. On my skin, it easily lasts 10 hours. Very, very delicious.

Exquisite fragrance. Unisex with great longevity, lasting about 14 hours. Fresh and ideal for daytime wear.

  • Incredible perfume. Mancera’s niche quality doesn’t envy anything the most expensive brands have, and the longevity is out of this world. I own the 540, and it outperforms Byredo’s 540 in every way. It’s a gem worth having, even if you don’t own the Bacarat.

  • Incredible perfume! Mancera’s niche quality holds its own against the most expensive brands and has amazing longevity. I own the BR540 and say it surpasses Fahrenheit in every way. It’s a gem worth owning, even if you don’t have Baccarat.

  • To me, this feels like something Lattafa or Afnan could churn out: a mix of sweet things, amber, and roses. Don’t get me wrong, I love those ‘messy’ scents, but not when they lack purpose and just release a new perfume to sell. For me, it’s totally dispensable.

  • Nancydano

What an amazing scent! Sweet, super opulent, and creamy—I absolutely love it. If you’re looking for longevity and projection, this is the one. I wear it all day without needing to reapply; it’s a compliment magnet! I put it on in the morning after my shower, and it’s still there at night. A beast in every sense of the word!

  • ShiseidoTactics

Quite feminine and creamy, soft and sweet without being cloying. It smells more like a luxury designer fragrance than an experimental niche, which isn’t bad. The only downside is it didn’t feel unique to me; it reminded me of others, and I didn’t detect the whisky, just the sweetness of hazelnut and tonka bean. As it dries down, a subtle, sophisticated floral note emerges.

  • I own Mancera’s Royal Vanilla and at first I thought Amber Fever was identical, about 90% similar, but with wear I noticed the nuances: Amber Fever is calmer, woodier, more masculine, and relaxed, while Royal Vanilla is flashier and louder, like ‘I’m here, take me’. In the end, I stuck with Amber Fever because Royal Vanilla scares me for daily use since it’s so invasive; that one’s for parties and events. Amber Fever works for everything, it’s not overwhelming, and smells delicious—liquorish and dry. I recommend it 100%.

  • I don’t know Baccarat 540, but I tried Zara’s Red Temptation, which is its dupe, and I confirm that Amber Fever is a softer version. It’s perfect for anyone who can’t handle the original. It’s totally unisex, ideal for both men and women.

  • It’s identical to Lattafa’s Oud for Glory, which I love, but paying $40 instead of $180 for this Mancera is a luxury I don’t think it’s worth; it smells like a typical Arab perfume.

  • This was my favorite of the sample kids I ordered, even more than the acclaimed Cedrat Boisee. I detect a unisex vibe, and it fits the line of designer perfumes with caramel notes.

  • lutzzingam

Thank God I bought a small decant. Honestly, I hated it: it smelled like an older lady who’d been locked in a room all day with the perfume. The quality and longevity are top-notch, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Thank God I bought a small decant. Honestly, I didn’t like it at all. It smells like an older lady who’s been locked in a room all day with her perfume. The quality and longevity are great, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • Azariel_Nox

I don’t know the concentration, but it left my skin glowing; it must have a high essence content and low alcohol, haha.

  • Benjamin Pozo

It’s an obscure niche perfume but incredibly rich, with sweet and liquorish notes and great projection. It doesn’t take many risks, yet it stands out thanks to its amber and whisky notes, giving it a more ‘grown-up’ vibe. To me, it smells more feminine, even though it’s unisex. Overall, I’d give it a 7.8/10.
