  • Blind buy number two, I ordered it from Sephora the same day it launched. It smells good but doesn’t feel like the gourmand I imagined. It’s warm, talcum-like, and creamy… a sweet musk that can easily be worn during the day; it’s not overwhelming or cloying. It’s extremely soft, yet you can still perceive it on yourself from a distance. Its longevity is 6 to 7 hours. This was the spray from a brand-new bottle; I’m sure, or at least hope, that if I let it macerate or oxidize, its scent might change for the better. I recommend trying it before buying. 🍦🪵☁️ I’ll be updating. ☺️ Edit: 06/25 ✨ I think I’ve learned to love this perfume, but not on its own, rather by layering it with other gourmands I own, which I rarely do with any other perfume. The scent didn’t change at all after all this time. It seems quite linear from the first spray to the dry down. I don’t know what it is, but there’s something in this perfume that reminds me of a medical office or a dentist. Definitely not my favorite, and I think Maison Martin Margiela could have done a better job with their first ‘gourmand’ perfume.

Nothing new, indeed it’s not as gourmand as one might think, but it does smell like a dusted vanilla custard and maybe a hint of citrus, but super subtle. For me, it’s another one from this brand that doesn’t last on the skin at all, and in summary, the price isn’t worth it. But there are perfumes that seem to change with the weather… I suspect it will be more noticeable and lasting in the heat. While it all comes down to pH and taste, I don’t know why it reminded me of a Devotion without lemon or hazelnut, simpler and with more vanilla. If you like that or a V&R bonbon, maybe you’ll like this one.

  • It was a blind buy, and honestly, it doesn’t smell like madeleines, but more like a vanilla muffin. I use it for layering to boost the vanilla of other scents because its longevity on my skin is quite good; it lasts about 8 hours.

  • Finally, it’s hit the stores (at least at ECI), and I was curious to try it, but the reviews said it wouldn’t be a bombshell, and that’s exactly what it is. It seems like a very standard vanilla gourmand to me, without being a standout vanilla for any particular reason. For the price, it’s not worth it in my opinion. It’s not a bad perfume; it could be a hit if you like gourmands and just go for it, so well xD.

I tested the fragrance in-store and honestly, I expected more. I agree with other reviews: for the price, it’s very disappointing and it’s not a gourmand that stands out. If you haven’t tried many perfumes and you like vanilla, it’s a safe bet because you’ll probably like it, but honestly, with the current boom of these fragrances, I’d go for any other vanilla, like an Éclair by Lattafa, one from Zara, or a Kayali 28.

  • This is my favorite perfume so far; it’s a perfect combination of gourmand yet fresh at the same time, making it very versatile for any weather. I’m totally hooked, the only downside is that it might not last long right on the skin and lacks much projection.

  • It’s a subtle, tiny lactonic scent. It’s discreet, soft, and evokes a coffee or milk tea-dipped madeleine. At the same time, it has something clean and synthetic, aiming for a gourmand sweetness that doesn’t feel heavy. It reminds me of Zadig & Voltaire or She by Armani… those small, crisp compositions. A ‘pianissimo’ aroma of a miniature tea set with a little milk, sugar, and a madeleine. Maybe a micro-dose of condensed milk too. A gourmand that whispers.

  • It smells like medicine, syrup, and an old lady’s scent to me. Sorry to the fans, but I just can’t stand it on my skin.

  • I’ve tried it several times and it always leaves me with the memory of a freshly opened oven after baking a cake. It has vanilla and sugar, but the price is ridiculous because it doesn’t last more than 4 hours on my skin.

  • I’ve tried it several times, and it always reminds me of a freshly opened oven after baking a cake. It has a touch of vanilla and sugar, but the price is insane for a fragrance that lasts no more than four hours on the skin.
