I detect a lot of cardamom and sandalwood, and when it dries down, it leaves a soft spiced vanilla. Very rich and smooth, a distinct perfume.
Regardless of whether you like or dislike its notes, there’s no doubt it’s a fantastic perfume that costs only 15 euros. With this, Zara is slapping many others who charge 100, 150, or 200 to deliver equivalent experiences. The dominant notes are vanilla, cardamom, and sandalwood, making it very sweet and gourmand. Its longevity on my skin is very satisfying. I don’t feel it’s fresh, but rather dark and a bit heavy, so I don’t recommend it for very hot climates (at most for summer evenings or nights). Considering its quality and price, I give it an 8.
I kept testing it every time I passed by Zara, and yesterday I had to buy it, knowing it disappears overnight. The first time, I was disappointed by all the fuss and didn’t see the point. But as the days went by, I liked it more and more, and it performed really well considering it’s from Zara. The scent matches my style: tropical, coconut, creamy, with a part that gives a ‘caramel’ sensation, very pleasant for daily use and wearable almost year-round. Ridiculous price for 100ml; I encourage you to try it at least twice and don’t stick with your first impression. Completely unisex. I’m not a fan of this brand’s perfumes (especially the overdone Vibrant Leather), but I admit they nailed this one. BRAVO.
Tested with two sprays at Zara. The opening is weird, dominated by coconut. Then, more coconut and so on until its two-hour longevity. It doesn’t smell bad, but it’s not a big deal.
When I first smelled it in the store, it didn’t convince me, but I bought it anyway due to the hype to give it a proper try. At first, for the first two weeks, it still didn’t convince me, and I barely noticed it, but now it’s a different story. If you’re looking for something sweet for summer that everyone will like, you’ll love it. I’ve gotten many compliments, my girlfriend adores it, and she steals it from my drawer. It’s perfect for any casual occasion, even the office without being invasive. It’s sweet but not cloying; for me, it’s perfect. The longevity and projection are just okay; the first half-hour projects a lot, then it becomes a personal bubble. I detect it for 5 or 6 hours, then it stays very close to the skin. For the price, it’s a 10 for me; I’ve already bought another bottle.
If its opening were more durable, it would be one of my favorites. It settles into a very common and unmemorable vanilla, so I only use it for picking up the car and grocery shopping. The performance is unbeatable; you pay two Burger King meals for 100ml. Interesting fragrance from Zara? Definitely. Perfume I’d grab if my house caught fire? No, but it wouldn’t be one of the last ones I’d choose.
It smells similar to Male Lover by JPG, just a bit less potent. It seems like it doesn’t last, but it keeps releasing bursts and becomes very addictive. Very good for the price.
I’m obsessed with it. I think it causes olfactory fatigue because others can smell it on me, but I can’t detect it myself, so I always carry a decant to reapply myself, haha. I’m not an expert in colognes, but lately Zara is doing it very well… I’m hooked on several of their fragrances.
Great colognes, very well crafted. The bottle is elegant. In my opinion, it has traits reminiscent of Bravo by El Ganso. Although Shamanilla is more subtle and less invasive.
A controversial fragrance, not because of the scent itself, but because of who reviewed it online and because it’s a Zara product. What I tested lasted 6 hours on skin and much longer on clothes. Give credit where it’s due: Shamanilla proves you don’t need to spend a fortune to enjoy a solid gourmand. For 15-20€, it offers something surprisingly good. Don’t expect complexities or twists, because from the start, it’s fairly linear. That’s both its charm and its limitation. The opening is perhaps its weak point: the coconut water note feels a bit synthetic, almost plastic, rather than evoking that soft creaminess. It’s not a disaster, but it’s not the opening that leaves you wanting more. However, if you can get past that somewhat flat beginning, what follows rewards you. The true star is the dry-down, which is addictive. It transforms into a delicious mix of vanilla and caramel, like a vanilla ice cream dipped in toffee sauce. It’s sweet but not cloying, and although it doesn’t evolve much, that creamy, comforting aroma has enough weight to make it interesting. It’s not a fragrance with a complex olfactive pyramid, but within its simplicity, Shamanilla more than delivers for those who enjoy an accessible gourmand. Ideal for daily wear with moderate projection and decent longevity, it’s a great ally for anyone looking for something sweet and affordable. For the price, it’s hard to resist.
After wearing it all summer, I can confirm it smells different from what I expected. It’s sweet yet fresh, attracts everyone, and doesn’t have overly gendered notes. Its longevity is incredible—it lasts as long as you want, and if you spray it on clothes, even longer. People always ask for it, no exaggeration. What a pity it feels like one of Zara’s discontinued scents.
Acapulcoco with vanilla. A zero-cloying, very soft vanilla coconut water. I was lucky not to have read any reviews and only found it in the Zara line, smelled it, and liked it quite a bit. 100% unisex.
I had this perfume and was over halfway through the bottle. I liked it quite a bit and used it daily until someone asked, ‘Doesn’t it smell like roasted chili?’ Indeed, we discovered it was this one. I don’t know how to explain it, but the dry-down smells exactly like that—roasted red chili and sweet. It’s not a bad smell, but I don’t want to walk around smelling like that forever, so since then I’ve only kept it in my vanity. I unscrew it, smell it, and laugh.
Original and unlike anything else, it has a refreshing spirit with a touch of sweetness like a coconut on the beach.
Full disclosure: I have very perfume-friendly skin. I really like this one because the dry-down on me is sweet but not cloying; it’s airy with spice notes. I barely notice the coconut, but the overall effect is fascinating. It’s not for daily wear because it becomes olfactorily overwhelming. On my skin, it doesn’t smell like roasted chili, mint gum, or vanilla. It’s a completely original fragrance with a strong personal sillage and incredible longevity. Considering the price, I’m convinced.
What a blessing that Zara decided to remove these little things from their catalog. It opens with spiced and sweet coconut, settles into that same sweet and slightly woody coconut, and dries down on the skin with a very creamy but not dominant vanilla. It reminds me of that super sweet mint gum from the eighties. Beautiful and unisex.
This is one of those fragrances that makes you fall in love, and if you see it, you don’t look at anything else. It’s an insane tropical sweetness; it’s the tropics in a bottle. It’s easy because everyone loves it, but it stands out as totally original; there’s nothing else to compare it to, and the quality… needless to say, it smells like a $300 bottle. A work of art.
If Zara keeps this forever, it will become a true classic. This perfume grows on you with use. It’s sweet but not too much, warm, creamy, floral, and vanilla-infused, super versatile. It has that clothes store air freshener vibe that makes you want to keep smelling yourself. I discovered it too late, and Zara already pulled it. I hope it comes back, like others, even under a different name.
I don’t get why they discontinued it; it’s a unique fragrance. It’s strong, heavy, and sweet, but not overwhelming. I have the 20ml bottle and don’t use it because I know they won’t make it again, and when it runs out, it’s gone. What a real pity; if I’d known, I would have bought five or six 100ml bottles… I’m so regretful.
It reminds me a lot of Lattafa’s Najdia Intense, especially in the dry down.
I fell in love the moment I smelled it. It’s sad that Zara discontinued it, but I’m not surprised; many stores rotate their catalogs to sell more. It’s tropical but not the typical coconut; it becomes a bit woody and plays with sweetness, landing at the perfect point without being cloying. I want to smell it forever. The sillage isn’t beastly, but it’s long-lasting and leaves a subtle scent trail when you pass by. It has a spicy facet, like in Tommy Impact Spark, seeming like pink pepper or cardamom. Incredible: unisex, fresh, different, woody, and sweet all at once. I won’t finish the bottle unless they bring it back. UPDATE: They just relaunched it, but it’s reformulated; I tried the new version and it smells more woody, slightly more masculine. But it’s still an incredible scent.
ATTENTION! It’s back. I just bought it on the Zara website; it’s available again.
I just got a decant and the opening is amazing: it’s an inspiration for the JPG PG but much brighter, radiant, fruity, and fresh. When it dries, it reminds me a lot of Zara’s Shamanilla, that mix of coconut water and vanilla. It’s lighter than the original but just as long-lasting.
What a shame that Zara threw this away. I picked it up by accident in the men’s section, and months later it was gone from the women’s section too. It’s pure unisex: intense cardamom and a super creamy coconut. Sometimes it smells like pepper even though it’s not on the label. It’s the only Zara scent (along with Fields at Nightfall) I’d buy again without hesitation.
Some perfumes surprise with their simplicity, and Shamanilla is one. From the start, it wraps you in something soft, creamy, vanilla, floral, and slightly powdery, evoking cleanliness and warmth. It doesn’t shout; it accompanies with elegance. The curious thing is that, despite being intimate, it projects well and lasts excellently on my skin. It’s not one of those Zara scents that disappear after an hour: it stays and you notice it in its low, enveloping tone. It has a class hard to find at this price. I loved it so much I bought a second bottle and have no regrets. Today it’s reselling for triple its value, but I’m not letting go. It’s a gem that could have been signed by a niche house. Minimalist, elegant, and with soul. I don’t understand why they discontinued it. It’s a silent hit that goes unnoticed until it disappears. Longevity: 7-8h, moderate but surprising projection, ideal all year. A forgotten gem.
I think it has too much hype; I bought it after reading incredible reviews. The scent is good, but I noticed a new batch with a floral/fruity aroma that overpowers everything else for hours. The longevity and sillage are just okay, but for the price, the composition is excellent. Recommended.
Without a doubt, Zara’s best. Top-tier scent and normal longevity. For me, it’s a 10.
To me, it smells like vanilla and mostly like cotton candy. It’s not cloying; it’s subtle, yet still sweeter than By The Fireplace, which at first seemed similar to me (though saving the distance). And that’s all.
A fruity and sweet scent that doesn’t cloy; it works for almost any occasion. It’s one of Zara’s best, along with the old Ebony Wood.
Hey, I’m not sure what they changed, but at first I thought it was very weak and feminine. Today I tried it again in-store and wow: it’s sweet and creamy, without that sunscreen smell thanks to the sandalwood. You can definitely smell the coconut, but it’s nothing like the JPG PG because this one is green and salty. It has creamy vanilla and airy cotton candy, with a floral touch at the end. The performance surprised me again: before it lasted half an hour, now we’re at 6 hours and it’s still perfect, surely it’ll hit 8. If it weren’t for the sandalwood, I’d feel it was more feminine, but it’s unisex and anyone can wear it. It’s versatile, but better in temperate climates to enjoy that tropical touch without getting suffocated or losing power in the cold.
Great perfume, impressed by its scent and composition (Fino). Very well crafted, the best coconut and vanilla I’ve tried. Smells like niche or luxury. It lasts 6 to 7 hours, projects about 2 meters for 3 hours, and then stays as a personal bubble for another 3 or 4 hours.
Easy as that: CLOUD plus GRIS by Charnel.
I tried it a year ago; very feminine, dominated by cotton candy. I had it on my mind, but they discontinued it. Now that it’s back, I didn’t miss the chance. I’m not much for sweet scents, but I love this Shamanilla; now I notice more vanilla and coconut water with less cotton candy. I ordered it online because they said it was out of stock, but when I picked it up, there were plenty. I’ll definitely buy another one.
Fine caramel (cake, cookie), vanilla, and mint. Not overly sweet. Very good aroma that also lasts and projects a lot. It’s a top pick. Hard to believe something this good costs this much. Better than many niches over 150 euros.
With all due respect, is this even perfume? It’s a hyper-soft coconut and vanilla water that lasts exactly five minutes. YouTubers like ‘Qué tal chicos’ are just selling smoke these days, please stop.
Exquisite aroma, abysmal performance. 100ml lasted me two weeks, and the price isn’t even competitive. What a shame, it’s a scent everyone loves, both the wearer and those around them.
Smells half-decent but unpleasantly synthetic. I know many fragrances, even niche ones like Angels Share, are synthetic, but the difference is that this one is exquisite. Many cheap Arab perfumes smell synthetic yet rich, and when they dry down, the scent is delicious or the synthetic notes disappear. This one smells bad. At this price, buy any Arab perfume; it smells better.
At first, it smells like toasted shredded coconut with vanilla, sweet and creamy. Once it settles, it’s toasted coconut over a fine, subtle wood. It stays sweet, creamy, and powdery. Longevity and projection are low. It’s for home, short visits, or keeping in your bag for the day. It also works great for sleeping with. Rich, uncomplicated, tender, and cozy.
First review: I bought it because Carlos Rubio said it smells like vanilla. It’s not sold in Chile, so my partner brought it from Spain. Carlos was way off; it’s a monstrous sweet scent but not cloying. You can detect coconut, vanilla, and wood; I didn’t sense cardamom or bergamot. When it dries down, it’s magic: vanilla and wood in perfect harmony. I’ve gotten tons of compliments at work. Projection is bombastic, trail is decent, and it lasts all day from morning to night. I already have a second bottle, and if I’m lucky, a third.
They put it in everyone’s mouth, but honestly, it smells terrible—like carrot with coconut water, zero cotton candy vibes.
