Descripción
Apple Brandy on the Rocks by Kilian is a fruity aromatic fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2021, this composition is signed by Sidonie Lancesseur. The top notes of cardamom and bergamot awaken the skin; the heart reveals a blend of apple, rum, brandy, pineapple, vanilla, and moss; while the base settles on cedar and ambroxan.

To me, it smells more like pineapple than apple, but it’s a boozy, syrupy fruit scent where creamy cardamom takes the lead. It’s a mature, serious, and elegant fruit scent that reminds me of a 1940s New York dandy, like Charles Foster Kane. It has good longevity and sillage, very sexy, but personally, I get tired of the excessive sweetness on my skin. It’s super unisex, though leaning more masculine. Among Kilian’s liquor collection, it’s the least ‘girly’.
It starts as a boozy fruit scent and then settles into a fruity aroma with a solid base of liquor and woods. It doesn’t stand out too much but provides enough support to avoid being just another fruity scent. I really like it and have no complaints about longevity or projection. I wouldn’t have bought it due to the price for this style, but as a gift, it was great. I enjoy and value it a lot.
At first, it’s fruity and boozy, then it settles into a fruity scent with a solid base that provides the liquor and wood notes. It doesn’t stand out too much but gives enough support so it’s not just another fruity scent. I really like it and have no complaints about longevity or projection. I wouldn’t have bought it; it seems too expensive for this style, but it was a gift and turned out great. I enjoy and value it immensely.
Having tried Apple Brandy New York, I’d say this On the Rocks is 85% identical, but that fruity touch makes it more youthful and long-lasting. The previous one lacked performance; this one has it. It’s the perfect fragrance for wearing a tuxedo or suit at nighttime winter events.
Having used Apple Brandy New York, I’d say this On the Rocks is 85% identical, but that fruity touch makes it more youthful and long-lasting, especially in performance, since the APNY wasn’t noticeable. It’s the special fragrance for wearing a tuxedo or suit at nighttime events (in winter).
It left me speechless. It smells exactly like apple brandy with ice: fresh, perfect for summer. The apple is super natural and that alcoholic tone is incredible. It doesn’t resemble anything else. In terms of scent, it’s perfect, 10/10. My only gripe is the longevity; for the price, one would expect more; on my skin, it lasts 6-7 hours.
Smells like cider, a bit sweet, reminiscent of apple liqueur, and very pleasant. It reminded me of Hermès’ H24 Pear. It’s very easy to wear; I recommend it.
As a woman, I recommend it: it’s unisex, rich, and boozy with woody, mossy, and spicy notes from cardamom, though apple and pineapple dominate, especially the apple. It dries down beautifully, is wearable year-round, and is a gorgeous scent; for me, it’s richer than Angel’s Share.
I think it’s a very rich fragrance. I bought a decant for my girlfriend, and it will be my next purchase. I’ve never smelled an apple so natural, red, and juicy, without losing its liquor note. It leaves just the right trail so as not to bother others; the longevity seemed to be 5 hours, which is its drawback along with the price, but despite this, I highly recommend it for its scent. Quite unisex, but on a woman, it seems very sexy.
At first, another rarity I like but wouldn’t buy, not just because of the price, but because I know it’s not for me. Apple Brandy is exactly that: a glass loaded with liquor and a crisp apple. The dry down is a slightly hippie amber that exudes class. The crisp apple dies out quickly to become roasted, caramelized, or macerated apple in liquor. Upon spraying, it’s crystal clear and cold, with a hyper-realistic brandy touch that evolves into a more masculine, linear, even eighties vibe, yet incredibly charming. A good option for dressing up well and living a multitasking winter with high-level events. So, what’s the verdict?
This scent was created as a warm note elixir, with the fruits adding brightness to the dry down. Its dry down is very seductive, captivating, and sweet. If you’ve never tried it, it aligns with CH Privé Essential Elixir, but with higher aromatic quality and fresh fruity notes that make it sharper and more captivating.
A liquid apple pie (and no cinnamon) with a hint of liquor. The opening is fresh and juicy, with a crisp green apple that feels like biting into a real one. It has an acidic touch that gives it liveliness and an uncomplicated unisex character. The liquor is present, but not like a drunk party guest; it’s an elegant guest who knows how to blend in. The alcoholic note is subtle, adding depth without drowning out the other notes. Here, Kilian did it right: they avoided turning it into a cloying gourmand bomb. There’s no excess vanilla or that sweetness that becomes suffocating after hours. It’s surprisingly versatile for a scent that could have been winter-only. The Ambroxan, that beast that sometimes ruins fragrances… here it’s tamed to let the fruity and alcoholic notes shine. It shares notes with Boss Bottled, but here there’s no cinnamon or plum, just clean, fresh apple. It’s more complex than Kilian’s original Apple Brandy, with the wood removed, making it lighter. Although well-executed and original, it’s one of those fragrances to enjoy occasionally. It brings something new, but lacks the sparkle to justify the full price, though it is accessible in samples.
It’s a liquid apple pie without cinnamon, with a hint of liquor. The opening is fresh and juicy, featuring a crisp green apple that smells like a real bite, with a tangy note that makes it lively and unisex. The liquor is there, but not like a drunk at a party; rather, like an elegant guest who knows how to hold back. The alcohol is subtle, adding depth without overwhelming. Kilian did a good job: it’s not a cloying gourmand bomb, without excess vanilla. It’s versatile and not just for winter. It’s unisex but leans more masculine. The main notes are green apple, rum, brandy, and cedar. It’s quite unique and not overly mainstream. I wish the projection were punchier for the price, but it’s like an intimate fragrance; only people who get close to you can smell it. It has a mysterious side.
Delicious! 😍 It’s exactly that: an alcoholic apple and spice drink. I feel it’s a very simple fragrance, which is why it’s so popular.

Just bought it; it’s a 2024 batch and performs really well, lasting at least 7 hours (perfect for a date). It’s a romantic scent, ideal for close encounters. You don’t smell the rum, but there is a slight sweet touch.
Bought it recently, it’s a 2024 batch and it lasts a long time—at least 7 hours minimum (perfect for going out). It smells romantic, ideal for being close without overwhelming anyone; you don’t detect the rum, but there is a sweet touch.
Sidonie Lancesseur took the classic BOSS Bottled, stripped out almost all the testosterone, added some estrogen, and turned it into something more mature, refined, unisex, versatile, calm, and much more expensive, while keeping the original’s appeal.
Delicious! In my opinion, it’s better crafted than Angels’ Share. If it’s not as famous, it’s because of its performance: little sillage and average longevity. If it were beast mode, it would be an icon, but unfortunately, the longevity and projection are just personal. A totally wearable perfume for any age, versatile, and even usable in heat; it’s sweet but not cloying. Scent 10/10, but performance 6/10.
What a beautiful scent! Although I’m not a fan of unisex fragrances, I lean more towards feminine notes. I walked in looking for more Roses on Ice by Kilian, but I got distracted and ordered this instead. I thought, ‘If Apple Brandy arrives, I’ll give it to my husband.’ Just kidding! The aroma is fantastic: real apple brandy, a touch of wood, and soft vanilla that isn’t cloying. A bit intense for daily wear, but a delight for special occasions. Longevity and projection are moderate, but acceptable for this profile.
