First off, it smells 85% like CK Obsessed for Men with a touch of Valentino Uomo, but feels more casual on my skin. Best for men 23 and up. Good longevity and sillage, solid quality.
Well, Cavalli Uomo Silver Essence was a surprise for me. I don’t absolutely love it (I’m not an iris fan, but it has many redeeming qualities). It has an aromatic opening, even fresh, with the iris touch, the sweetness of tonka bean, and the ripe plum skin note from the violet. After an hour, that blend fades, leaving just a sweet iris note reminiscent of Valentino Uomo. Longevity is more than acceptable, and it projects enough without being suffocating. Scent: 8, Trail: 7, Longevity: 8, Price: 10.
Indeed, it’s sweet with lots of violet, in the style of CK Eternity Night for Men. Fragrances like this aren’t for me, but women usually like them.

This fragrance has a quirk: even though iris isn’t listed in the notes, you can still smell it, at least that’s what I perceive. With just two sprays, it’s fresh and slightly sweet without being overwhelming. I got three compliments in one night wearing just two sprays on my wrists. Its trail is acceptable for the price; I think it’s a great buy. The only thing I don’t like is the lavender; after two and a half hours, it becomes sharp, though still bearable. Overall, I’ve liked it. A friend showed it to me today, and I think I’ll buy it, if not already have. Scent: 9, Trail: 8/10, Longevity: 8.5/10, Price: 100/10.
This is what I call a good designer fragrance: very pleasant, balanced, and with normal performance. You don’t feel ripped off; it’s not a head-turner, but no one is repelled. Seems like solid work, versatile for intermediate seasons. Not the best in the world; for example, the original Uomo, an ode to violet, feels superior to me, though I get that not everyone loves it. Give it a try if the notes suit you.
