This perfume has an exotic touch; I bought it very recently and honestly haven’t used it yet, but I put it on my wrist and couldn’t stop smelling it. It has the touch I like in perfumes: vanilla-based, but this one has a spicy twist that makes it different from my other vanilla perfumes. My boyfriend loves it. I’ll see when I try it more often if I love it or if it’s just average.
I love it; it smells sweet with a very intense exotic floral touch. I get a strong tiare scent with vanilla, it smells more like tiare than JUST. It has very good longevity on the skin.
After the resounding success of Roberto Cavalli Essenza, I couldn’t resist ordering the EDP. It’s magnificent too, creamy and exotic. It has a more ‘tropical’ nuance and comes across as quite sweeter. They undoubtedly share the same DNA, but the EDP results in a composition of lower intensity than ESSENZA. A powerful, creamy, and exotic perfume. I’ll have to play with it a bit more to give a more formed opinion.
What a rich scent! Sweet, sweet, it really fascinated me; I didn’t think it would be so rich… Highly recommended for the evening, even.
Cavalli Parfum is pure elegance; white flowers mixed with vanilla stand out, giving it a subtle and refined touch, nothing intrusive. After half an hour, I found a slight resemblance to Cavalli Eau: the more intense one. I liked it a lot; it will be my next acquisition.
Like other Cavallis, it doesn’t please me too much at first, maybe it’s a bit spicy… but by the time it settles, it unfolds what seduces everyone. Benzoin sits spectacularly on me, with complex and uncommon combinations. Great longevity; it still lingers on my skin the next day.
I’d dare to say that in this perfume all the notes appear from the start and are felt all the time; it’s a fragrance that melts into you, becoming a second skin and staying on you and your clothes all day. It seems simple with its few notes and linear, but its notes are so well-chosen that it makes it very opulent. On my skin, orange blossom, benzoin, and tonka bean reign, with vanilla in the background. My favorite Roberto Cavalli perfume.
Another blind buy that I absolutely loved. To me, it’s a mix of orange blossom and tonka bean, very warm and pleasant. I can’t find any pepper anywhere, but it’s not one of my favorites; still, it’s great for the winter approaching.
I’ve always found this perfume classy and distinctive. Compared to gourmands, it’s different, modern, and has a very sensual, flirtatious touch. It’s an oriental floral, but light and wearable, with a great evolution. The opening is explosive, sparkling, and has a resinous floral air, very current, then moves to a floral phase dominated by orange blossom with plastic nuances and a pleasant warmth. It’s contemporary and perfectly reflects Cavalli’s baroque style, which adores the ornate and leathers. What I love most is that, given how distinctive it is, the price is excellent; it even seems cheap for the quality and performance. A modern, flirtatious, and honest oriental.
The moment I put it on, the vanilla and pink pepper are immediately noticeable; that vanilla is distinct, with an 80s vibe, which was my reason for buying it. Then comes the dry-down where tonka bean and patchouli stand out. It’s one of the longest-lasting in my collection, very intense, and ideal for cold months.
They gave it to me for Christmas and for me it has been a disappointment. It’s not a bad perfume, but we just don’t quite fit. I gave it to my mom and I love how it smells on her, but when I wear it, it doesn’t work for me.
A vanilla perfume where for me the benzoin stands out above all. I must say I feel almost all the notes except the tonka bean. Pink pepper accompanies it and gives a spicy touch to that vanilla scent; the floral note comes from the orange blossom, which you feel in the background, but the queen of the party is the Benzoin. And more benzoin. And even more. Too opulent, very strong, even narcotic… It blinds my senses and even makes me dizzy. It’s not for me. It lasts a long time and its trail is noticeable with just a couple of applications. For those daring to buy it blind, it fits the style of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Classique. Apart from the vanilla scent, I don’t know how they resemble each other, but it’s as if they used it as a reference when creating it (with the difference that the former feels like a fine scent to me, while this one feels rougher and more artificial to me).
Exquisite and distinguished, a typical Italian perfume.
For me, it’s very similar to Far Away Gold by Avon, which I already owned and loved. It’s a more affordable option for anyone wanting something similar, although Cavalli can also be found online at a very good price.
I love this perfume, although I prefer Essenza by the same Cavalli; this one is no longer available; in any case, they are very similar. Wonderful vanilla and tonka bean, true, it really blends into your skin and lasts a long time. My city is burning today due to a heatwave, but still, it didn’t seem intrusive to me. I think it makes you feel very sensual. I recommend it.
Totally blind buy because of a good deal I found online. I was attracted by its incredibly elegant bottle and composition. I chose the EDP version, which I always do, and the price doesn’t skyrocket, as this ensures greater longevity. I can say it’s exquisite (a bit strong at first), but once it dries, it smells oriental, highlighting for me the tonka bean and amber, resulting in a very warm and seductive scent. That’s why I think it’s more suitable for night. It’s not intrusive, sticky, or annoying. It doesn’t smell overly vanilla to me even though vanilla is in the composition. It lasts hours and stays fixed very well on clothes.
For me, contrary to what I’m reading, it doesn’t seem very feminine… To me, the scent is quite strong; I prefer much more other Roberto Cavallis, like the one with a similar but blue bottle… I can’t remember the name, neither the Just Cavalli nor the Gold. It has an ingredient whose touch pushes me back a bit. I don’t know when I’ll use it for sure… For now, I spray it at home to see if I get used to it or if there’s a day my perception changes and I like it… but I don’t know, I don’t know.
It’s a perfume I know I’ll love until I have to leave. I feel it very close to me and met it thanks to my mom. Every time I smell it, it brings back a clear memory: boarding a cruise next to my mom with the sea in the background. Beyond the emotional affection, I consider it one of the richest perfumes I’ve ever smelled. I associate it with happiness and comfort; it’s elegant, super feminine (without being cliché), and completely addictive. If I could smell it 24/7, I’d do it without hesitation. Try it!
I bought it blind and I couldn’t be happier. At first, I didn’t see the resemblance, but once applied, I discovered the dry-down reminds me a lot of my beloved Alchimie de Rochas. Surprisingly, they have nothing in common in the top or heart notes, but oh! The base notes share vanilla and tonka bean. While Alchimie has licorice, this one features benzoin. Ladies, all of this transports me back to that beloved discontinued scent. It’s simpler; Alchimie is a beast in the pyramid structure, but the base is what matters to me. They remind me of each other so much. Without a doubt, I can’t be without it; I’ve discovered a balsamic perfume that brings immediate warmth, taking me to a warm summer night on a beautiful island with a big rum drink. I don’t mean it smells boozy, but balsamic and slightly reminiscent of hot skin after drying off sunscreen. Performance is very good, lasting 6-8 hours, and its trail, though subtle, is extremely sexy in close range. When I wear it, I love the warm and sensual aura it envelops me in. Highly recommended.
Wow, what a perfume! Total elegance: packaging, bottle, and essence. The benzoin and vanilla sweetness combine perfectly with a spicy kick of pepper… much better! An aroma straight out of One Thousand and One Nights.
What a surprise when the perfumer showed it to me! The moment I smelled it, I didn’t hesitate to take it home. I only wear it on special occasions because it’s a perfume with a lot of personality: it’s sweet but nothing cloying, and the best part is that I can’t find any similar scent to it. Intense at first, but once it settles, it’s perfect; it leaves a sophisticated trail and has a great price, around 30 euros or even less.
What an original perfume! An uncommon scent, at least for my untrained nose. The opening is quite energetic, almost tickling the nose, but after a few minutes it softens into a more than pleasant aroma. Ideal for nightwear and formal outings. A blind buy that was totally spot on.
I went to visit a friend and when I entered her room, I saw the bottle on her vanity; the design looked precious and original, but the scent… oh, my god! That is bottled glory, oozing class and beauty. I smelled the smoky, spiced benzoin with a balanced vanilla and a touch of resinous tonka bean. I didn’t notice the orange blossom. I want it because it’s a delight that reminds me a bit of GUCCI RUSH or DECI DELA by Nina Ricci; they don’t smell the same but they evoke them quite a bit. DEEEEELISIOOOSOOO!!!
Delicious, a very sophisticated vanilla that is nothing but non-cloying; it’s addictive!! Longevity is very good, and the sillage is moderate.
I tried it with a sample and the intense vanilla flavor gave me a headache. A real torture for those who can’t handle sweet, synthetic vanillas…
Ugh, I didn’t like it at all. I thought I’d love it because I like all the notes and I’m an amber lover. But it’s too strong. I only detect a bitter orange blossom and benzoin. It is sweet, yes, but intense and lordly, not a normal sweet scent. A total disappointment. Not for me or anyone for everyday wear.
Sweet and sophisticated fragrance where vanilla and tonka bean dominate. I wore it daily and it has medium longevity and sillage.
I saw it at an irresistible price and the bottle made me swoon, even though Cavalli’s aesthetic usually repels me. Glad I tried it: not my absolute favorite, but I like it for certain times of year. It reminds me of those heavy white flower and resin perfumes from the late 80s and early 90s, the kind my mom wore to dinners. It seems heavy, but it doesn’t feel that way: as it dries down, it softens, leaving a pleasant, non-cloying vanilla. Ideal for spring/fall or cool summer nights. In winter, it doesn’t come through as much as I’d like, so I wouldn’t choose it for intense cold. Lasts about 5-6 hours before settling on the skin, and although it projects less than it seems, 2-3 sprays are enough.
Eau de Parfum My Vainilla de Antaño: elegant, opulent, and narcotic; it blinded me at first sniff. It’s a trip back to the 90s with vanilla, bitter orange blossom, and benzoin creating a vanilla-resinous floral scent. Incredible longevity, over 8 hours, with high projection for the first 4.
Looking for all-in-one: vanilla, sweetness, good sillage, and a fair price. It has everything, but the benzoin is so dominant that in the end, it feels cloying. What a pity.
I bought it in 2015 and felt a huge disappointment; I couldn’t stand it and gave it to my mother. Seven years later, I bought Classique Essence, which I love, and discovered they are similar according to reviews here on Fragrantica. Waooo, I was shocked! I don’t know what happened to my nose back then, or simply the years renew our perceptions. Wow, really!
Oh, what a wonderful perfume. It has that amber, white flowers, and resin that I associate with 80s-90s perfumes like Montana’s Parfum de Peau. I was born in the 90s, and this is the first scent I recognized as a women’s perfume. Despite that touch, it doesn’t feel heavy thanks to the orange, which gives it an energetic and fresh opening. I wish it lasted longer, but as it fades, it lets way to a sophisticated vanilla without trying that isn’t cloying. I advise spraying carefully depending on the environment; a little goes a long way, and I understand it can be overwhelming due to the resin. I feel it’s very versatile. I bought the 30ml because I saw it on sale and it has a lovely bottle. Opulent without trying; the woman in this perfume wears combat boots, simple gold jewelry, and a white shirt. She doesn’t need more.
It’s an enveloping, warm, and calming fragrance. It’s like being at home. It’s ambered; I don’t find it sweet, for me it’s vanilla and tiare flower. It’s balanced, gives me tranquility and warmth, which is why I consider it an autumn and winter scent. It’s not overwhelming but noticeable; people perceive it but it doesn’t suffocate or bother. I receive compliments almost always and it has become a wardrobe staple due to its price, longevity, and scent, and how it makes me feel. That said, the bottle is horrible for my taste.
Creamy white floral, subtly sweetened, and very sophisticated. It seems like a serious perfume with personality and a slight vintage touch that doesn’t date it but rather adds mature elegance. Ideal for formal occasions, both in winter and summer; I think it would look great.
For my nose… simple enough to wear alone or for layering, it works. I don’t detect the pepper; the orange blossom gives me slight stings, almost like nettles, and the base notes dominate from the start. The vanilla is very gourmand, like a flan, and the benzoin is very noticeable. In my opinion, there’s too much of a base note (the benzoin) in a perfume with few top notes, since the base notes are too creamy and similar.
(sigh) It’s not my type. At first, it’s like being in a church, with no change to the nose. But surprise! Later it gets fun because I get a scent of freshly born bird droppings. And it ends with a lovely vanilla and benzoin… so sweet and warm. Addictive and curious, I’ll have to buy it. Plus, its longevity is very good. I’ll definitely get it in September.
When I saw it being compared to Classique Essence, I thought it was a good option since I love that one and just finished my bottle, but it turned out to be a terrible disappointment; they don’t resemble each other at all. In Roberto Cavalli, it’s not sweet; it’s floral and gives off a vibe of mature women’s body cream. It can be elegant, but it’s not my type of scent. Of course, I wouldn’t buy it again nor recommend it easily.
Pure addiction. It opens with a floral sweetness and a neroli syrup that gradually gets drowned out by a vanilla and amber base loaded with benzoin and tonka. I don’t know if it’s the old batch or the scent itself, but for me, it’s one of the best feminine fragrances and brings back the most pleasant memories. Seduction and nostalgia in a bottle.
A typical perfume that smells like ‘people’ but I never knew which one it was. It never caught my eye in stores, but one day at Primor, looking for something easy and blind-bought, I decided to pick it up. Total win. On my skin, the orange dominates with a vanilla that isn’t gourmand but enveloping and very warm. The opening is super strong, but once it settles… it’s a delicious marvel. It’s pleasant, easy to like, and very tasty. You won’t go wrong. Good projection and lasts about five hours.
Very 90s aesthetic-wise, this classic floral is well-structured and elegant. Its warm base of vanilla, benzoin, and African orange creates a creamy bouquet wrapped in a resinous touch reminiscent of the amber chords of the 90s. The benzoin adds that balsamic, sweet sensation that gives it body. It’s a warm, nostalgic floral for anyone who grew up with this style. If you like Red Door, So, Jennifer Aniston, 5th Avenue, J’adore, Carolina Herrera, Gabriela Sabatini, The One, or Woman, you’ll find it familiar. Important: these aren’t dupes of Roberto Cavalli; they just share that classic, warm olfactive direction. Solid performance: 9 hours on clothes. Moderate projection for 5-6 hours, then it becomes intimate with a soft halo until the end.
