Floralie is so gorgeous! I feel aquatic… probably thanks to those marine and super fruity notes. Once it dries down, it smells like rich coconut wrapped in sweetness. I bought it blind and it was a total hit.

This is a very soft perfume; I don’t feel the citrus opening at all, the sweet black currant and freesia come through much more, but very faintly. It doesn’t change much and feels a bit powdery. In the heart, I don’t detect the rose, just the lily of the valley. It’s fine for daytime, but the sillage isn’t very lasting. After 8 hours, I barely perceive the base notes of cedar and musk. Overall, it stays stable but doesn’t have as many facets as the original Cabotine, which reveals new surprises with each layer. I liked it, but I’m not crazy about it; I’ll keep using it for daily wear. It’s not for special occasions because you’d go unnoticed.

At first, I liked it. I bought it at a great price and it’s been very pleasant whenever I’ve worn it, bringing me memories of coconut and tiare flower. But… the more I use fragrances from Roger & Gallet, which use a high percentage of essential oils to recreate nature’s scents in a very realistic way, the less I enjoy products where I perceive too many synthetic components. This is what happened with “Floralie”; after trying “Ylang” from R&G, I couldn’t help but compare them, and Floralie came out losing.
Aloha! The moment I smelled it, I suddenly found myself on a paradise beach in Hawaii with girls dancing hula and flowers in their hair. Seriously, it’s a fruity and aquatic fragrance: at first, sweet and musky coconut and peach. The marine notes are hard to define, but together they evoke an idyllic summer day with a sea breeze. Like other coconut perfumes, it’s sensual, feminine, and pleasant, but it lacks heavy notes for evening. It radiates warmth, youth, and vitality. The cedar balances the extreme sweetness of the coconut and black currants, softening the fruity tone and adding that woody, earthy touch of Mediterranean pine forests. It’s quite long-lasting for the price and ideal for recreating a summer day, whether it’s hot or cold. While citrus perfumes give you chills in winter, with this one you appreciate its creaminess and enveloping quality more. It has all the good taste and tenderness of Christine Nagel (NR for her, Miss Dior Cherie, Si…), though I think it’s only suitable for informal settings. I admit I bought it because of its resemblance to Nuxe Body products; if any user tries it, they’ll realize they’re identical copies.
I tried this new Cabotine fragrance and must say it’s an aroma as original as its predecessor. On the opening, I notice lime, bergamot, and sparkling citrus notes. Then it opens up with freesia, jasmine, lily, and rose. There’s a salty note I can’t specify, and a woody base with musk and tonka bean, very similar to the original Cabotine. It finishes with that clean, green, herbal note. It doesn’t reach sweetness; rather, it’s astringent. It’s a citrus, floral, clean, and bubbly fragrance, youthful for spring and summer. Its sillage is moderate to soft and lasts about 3 to 4 hours. Unfortunately, it acts like an EDT and lacks the longevity of the rugged original Cabotine.
