  I bought this because I love 4711 and I was drawn to the matcha note, which is my favorite. It’s a review with both highs and lows: it smells delicious and I use it a lot in summer. It starts with a sweet citrus, like bergamot, and a green touch. Then comes the frangipani, with that floral sweetness that transports you to a tropical Asian jungle. Afterward, it blends into a soft green tea base—not bitter or strong, but caressing and clean. The catch is that this base isn’t actually matcha, which is what I was looking for; it lacks the greenery, intensity, and that rice powder touch. The notes smell natural, and unlike other 4711s, it doesn’t smell vintage, so if you don’t like the classic style, go ahead and try it without fear. It rates 7.5/10 for scent, lasts 7 hours, has a 6.5 trail, 7 for value, 5 for versatility, and 6.5 for packaging. It feels fresh, informal, relaxing, almost meditative. I think it suits women more, but it’s unisex. I’d wear it in the heat to go for a walk, do yoga, or read a book after a shower. I love having it in my collection, might repurchase, but I’m still hunting for that perfect matcha perfume I need. Maybe I’ll buy it again.

  What a pleasant surprise! This crystal-clear cologne totally blew my mind with its super subtle and beautiful scent. The only downside some might catch is that it fades away in a flash, but honestly, I don’t care at all. It’s so simple, featuring just two notes. At first, it smells like a marine green note with hints of rice powder and matcha, followed by a luminous frangipani that takes over and leaves a floral dry down.
