Descripción
Versace Man Eau Fraiche by Versace is a woody aquatic fragrance for men. Launched in 2006, the nose behind this composition is Olivier Cresp. The top notes unfold with lemon, sour lime, starfruit, cardamom, and Brazilian rosewood; the heart reveals cedar, tarragon, sage, and pepper; while the base notes settle with musk, woody nuances, saffron, amber, and sycamore wood.

This fragrance is: 10% Blue Seduction by A. Banderas, 10% Light Blue by D&G, and 80% Montblanc Starwalker. Imagine that Starwalker is an HD TV, and this is a Starwalker in 4K 😄
I always intended to get it, but only when I found a super price did I finally buy it. Longevity: It’s quite good. It doesn’t last much on my skin (I have very dry skin and always have high tension levels due to my job), but this fragrance stays noticeable for at least 3 hours. There’s something in it that smells cheap (and yes, it’s an affordable fragrance), but there are also other notes perceived with greater quality. In the end, it wins because it’s tremendously balanced throughout its entire life on the skin. It’s a compliment machine; people enjoy it a lot, and you notice it even when they don’t say it, because others enjoy your proximity, smile at you, and greet you more warmly. This is the first time this has happened to me, and it repeats itself over and over with this scent; it’s very curious. This aroma really delivers what you pay for, whether little or much. To me, it seems very masculine with those woody notes, but what I enjoy most is the persistence of the white musks, which gives a wonderful sense of cleanliness, which is why I recommend it for hot climates, preferably humid rather than dry. Its application should go with linen and cotton; it goes great. I already had an Eros Flame, which is so warm and long-lasting, that I was inspired to try this freshness in a bottle. It’s worth it even today, as it seems to have some age now, but it’s part of those eternal scents that continue to be enjoyed because they are so tremendously pleasant. It should always be available in the vanity of every clean-cut man.
One of the few benefits of the infernal heat in my homeland is using this type of fragrance; it’s truly rich. Too bad there aren’t many blue perfumes that surprise you, and this isn’t the exception; there are better or equal options in this style that are cheaper.
If you want something fresh but elegant, this is the option.
Fresh fragrance, ideal for the heat. One of the best things from Versace…
Fresh, citrusy, clean scent; I also get a green note. There are dozens of alternatives to this type of fragrance, and I must admit that my first sniff made me think it smelled cheap. I underestimated its longevity because it performs better than expected… although my expectation was that it would last barely more than a breath, like the Starwalker. Let’s say its performance is correct for the type of perfume it is. Best used on hot days, though I highly recommend Versace Pour Homme instead.
Personally, I really like it. Deceptively simple fragrance. Fresh opening with a soapy, clean, and very masculine dry down. Mediterranean aroma but sober, without any flashiness. A good option for spring-summer, daytime wear. Requires a certain natural and personal elegance.
I have it, and the first impression is clearly a total Starwalker clone, then it moves into an easy-to-wear citrus-woody phase like the D&G Light Blue. Recommended just like the Starwalker. Good, pretty, and cheap. Cheers.
Pleasant fragrance, very citrusy opening to my nose. Very easy to wear, it denotes cleanliness and freshness. But it lasts muuuuuuch too little on the skin, I’d say 2 to 3 hours, leaving little trail and staying very close to the skin. If you open the car window, forget it, it disappears immediately. It’s very nice, but I wouldn’t buy it again because of its poor longevity.
Fresh and pleasant, a citrus-woody scent that plays it safe. The bergamot isn’t aggressive, and the saffron and musk notes as it dries make it delicious. My husband says it lasts over 10 hours on his skin, all day long. It’s exactly what I always dreamed of in a men’s Light Blue; for me, it’s the perfect blend of Davidoff Cool Water for women and Light Blue Summer Vibes for women too.
It smells good, but overall I consider it very average. I feel it’s synthetic and generic; there are much similar options at a better price. I like Y Eau Fraiche much more, in the same price range with the same performance.
My go-to perfume. Nothing more to say, your honor.
I picked it up at a ridiculous price at duty-free. I already knew it, so I knew it doesn’t stand out in projection or longevity (lasts 2 hours on skin and leaves a trail for 20 minutes). Otherwise, it’s super easy to wear in summer, not suffocating, pleasant, and refreshing. Recommended for keeping a low profile on hot days while feeling clean. On long days, you have to reapply, and you can spray it freely; it doesn’t choke or bother anyone.
I recommend it for being very fresh. But if you’re looking for that scent or something similar and cheaper, buy Blue Seduction by Antonio Banderas. It’s the same aroma and costs $25 for 200ml.
Some say it resembles Blue Seduction by A. Banderas, and honestly, you can tell a little, but I’d say no more than 30%. The Versace Eau Fraiche notes are of better quality and clearly stand out.
For me, the citrus in this fragrance is very fresh alongside the woods. I see it for guys over 25. Ideal for heading to the park, malls, the movies, dates, or work. Maybe the beach, depending on the person. It pairs well with slim, straight, or bootcut jeans without rips, with a long-sleeve shirt, blazer, polo, or V-neck tee. I don’t see it with wide-leg pants, sleeveless tops, or tuxedos, but it depends on the individual. If there were an EDT version instead of EF, it would last longer. Sillage: 5/5, Longevity: 4/5, Versatility: 4/5, Notes: 5/5, Overall: 4.5/5. Without a doubt, it’s one of my signatures (I use it year-round).
I like the opening, but the drydown doesn’t convince me; no wonder it’s an old classic. They say it doesn’t last like other citrus scents, and for its price, it wasn’t worth buying.
It sounds like water to me. A lost woody note that says nothing. That’s why I think it’s worth more than what it actually offers.
It’s clearly Blue Seduction by AB; of course AB was inspired by it, but you can tell the difference in ingredients. AB’s is sweeter and synthetic, but well-made. If you have the money, buy the original; if not, AB gets the job done.
I bought this by mistake at the store, trying to grab the Pour Homme 200ml. Here, taxes eat up 70-80% of the price, so paying $190 is a hard blow. The scent is fresh, woody, and aquatic with citrus, but it smells like an unsalted chicken and white rice plate to me. Upon spraying, the alcohol stings badly, so I had to douse it with pharmacy alcohol and call it a day. After 15 minutes, I only detect lemon and a barely there wood note. Past 30 minutes, it’s just fruity and green. Verdict: trash for the price and the salesgirl’s mistake. I don’t get why they still sell it; it’s the blandest thing I’ve ever smelled. It’s just lemon water and wood for $100-150.
Fresh, smells very clean, spring-summer. Keep in mind that these scents tend to appeal to women. I don’t love it, but it is a very rich scent right after a shower.
It’s the only fragrance I was about to ask someone about in a mall; I smelled something so clean it blew my mind. I saw a man with his kid picking out fruits, hesitated to ask, but I ended up feeling embarrassed. A year later, my wife was at a wholesale perfume store in McAllen; I asked for cheap testers ($25 versus Mexico). When I tried it at home, I was surprised: it was that clean scent I was looking for. I tried many in department stores and finally found mine, now I wear it without even looking for it. It’s a clean, soapy scent like Montblanc Starwalker but with a sweet touch that makes it modern.
I only have a sample. It seems like a good scent, but there’s something slightly off-putting to me, similar to Clinique Happy. They’re good perfumes, but something just doesn’t convince me, plus the short longevity because they’re citrusy. I wouldn’t buy it.
Clean and fresh scent, perfect for heat but not one of my favorites; it has a note that doesn’t convince me. Projection and longevity are average (4-5 hours, 1 meter). Yes, it can seem a bit mature—not for a 40-year-old man, but for someone in their 30s. I’m 21 and I don’t dislike it, but several people say it smells like someone aged 30-35.
Very citrusy, smells delicious, ideal for extreme heat and spring-summer. One of my favorites, one of the few I buy multiple bottles of without getting bored. The downside: projection and longevity aren’t wide, but the scent is worth it. I recommend buying it; the price isn’t high and it’s sometimes on sale.
Rich, fresh, masculine, and clean scent, but I don’t think it’s worth buying because there are better options at this price (even from Versace). Ideal for use after a shower to smell great at home. If you’re looking for something to wear out, daily, at the office, or for meetings, I recommend another Versace perfume that’s more elegant and seductive. I prefer Versace Pour Homme, which has the characteristics this one lacks. Summary: Scent 9/10, Longevity 7/10, Price 7/10, Warm, 14+ years.
Unjustified hype. I don’t get the noise. Versace Man Eau Fraîche is simple: it smells good but is superficial and volatile. Citrus opening with a clean, summery air, a slight nod to soft woods, but no depth or evolution. It’s for ‘smelling good for a while’. If you want people to notice, be prepared to reapply. On skin, it doesn’t project; on clothes it improves a bit but it’s not fireworks. It’s not a ‘run out and buy’, you probably already have something similar with more presence. If you like this scent, go straight for D&G Light Blue: it projects more, lasts longer, and vibrates better. Rating: 5/10. Does it meet expectations? Yes. Does it surprise? No. Do you need it? Honestly, no.
Saying Versace Man doesn’t last and D&G Light Blue doesn’t either isn’t rare, but here the first one lasts hours and the second, nothing. This fragrance lasts me 6 to 8 hours, projects well for 1.5 to 2 hours, then becomes a personal bubble, strong at 4 hours. It’s citrusy, aquatic, delicious, excellent for summer, fresh, and youthful, very clean. I suppose it varies from skin to skin, but for me, the results have been great.
Very pleasant and well-balanced citrus, with just enough wood to last longer without losing freshness. You can tell the essences are high quality.
If you like clean scents, this is your ideal perfume for hot weather. It doesn’t try to be the weirdest in the world; its strength is the freshness it leaves behind. Imagine light, sea, and seaweed with lemon, cedar, and herbs coming out of the water. It becomes addictive with wear and is a delight for the heat.
It’s Blue Seduction by Antonio Banderas with slightly better performance and a higher price.
Simply incredible scent, pity it lasts so little.
As others have said, it’s very delicious; there’s a bit of coconut that hits me at first. Yes, the opening is wonderful, but it lasts with luck an hour, maybe a bit more. When I use it, I have to apply it about 5 times a day for it to be noticeable. It’s a pity its poor projection and longevity. I recommend buying the smaller version since there are better perfumes like this out there now.
I recommend it because it’s very fresh. But if you’re looking for the same scent or a very similar one that’s much cheaper, buy Blue Seduction by Antonio Banderas. It’s the same smell and costs $25 for 200ml.
Rich, simple, and reliable. It was my third perfume, so I have a certain affection for it. It lasts very little and not at all; in my opinion, the opening is highly alcoholic and lasts about 6 seconds. Then comes a very nice fresh-spiced blend. It would be much better if there were a more intense version because honestly, it’s a great fragrance, super easy to wear. Eau Fraîche Extreme wouldn’t be the case as it leans in a different direction. Good blind buy; I feel like I would have ruined myself with this perfume if I had owned it when I was 16… even at 24, I still think it’s good, pleasant 🙂
Fresh for sunny days, a very natural citrus with a slightly woody base. Very rich, but with very low longevity and projection.
I’d say it’s 100% similar to L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme by Issey Miyake, just with more sillage, better longevity, and a slightly more citrusy scent. I applied 7 sprays on my skin; I don’t like it on clothes, and it radiated for about 8 hours. That day, I was with my girlfriend, and even after 6 hours, she told me ‘you smell so good’ before even hugging me. The next day, I wore the same shirt because I didn’t leave the house, and the whole day I had that incredible aroma, even though it was just what got absorbed into the fabric. It has great sillage and lasts a long time. Tip: If you want amazing sillage and don’t plan to mix it with another perfume, apply it to your shirt, jacket, or blazer, and you’ll get incredible projection. I didn’t put it on clothes because I use other perfumes and don’t like mixing scents.
I wear it for the gym or on hot days; it feels very unisex and I love it. Lasts about 5 hours on my skin.
Stays true to the brand’s DNA. Upon spraying, the citrus is fresh but fades quickly. On my skin, it dries down to a pencil wood scent. Needs reapplication after 4 hours, even though it’s not a fougère. I wear it year-round except in extreme heat. Nothing invasive; after the first hour, it becomes a personal bubble like a Japanese perfume. ⛩️
Exquisite fragrance with excellent projection, so be careful with the sprays as it can become overpowering. However, it’s a scent people enjoy, and the drydown is slightly powdery.
